The Flash (2023)

"Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation. With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian -- albeit not the one he's looking for."

This is a movie where you will have to be able to separate the artist from the art. #ezramiller is well known to be a person of few morals, but if you take what you know about him in, you will hate it. Not because it's a bad film, but you won't be able to look at what's happening properly.

All of that aside, this is a truly fun movie. Lifting a lot of its story from the acclaimed Flashpoint comic book story, this film gives us time travel, cameos, unexpected laughs, and some genuine surprises. There are a lot of really fun and sometimes nostalgic cameos throughout the movie, so keep your eyes open for them. The changes made to Flashpoint bring a new edge to the story and provide a huge amount of growth and character development for this iteration of the Scarlet Speedster.

All of the performances are on point. Miller's Flash is a man finally coming into his powers fully and facing an outstandingly difficult choice. Having seen the growth in the character in the DC films so far gives me a lot of hope for the future of the character, whatever that might entail.

Supergirl has appeared in a lot of media, from animations to TV and film, but @sashacalle as Kara Zor-El is easily my favourite one. She looks great kicking ass and is a central point to the emotional turmoil of the movie. If she sticks around in the DCU (@jamesgunn, I'm looking at you here), I will be very pleased. The possibilities of the character are huge.

"I'M BATMAN!" The two words that any superhero and comocbook geek/nerd have been waiting forever for have never sounded sweeter. @michaelkeatondouglas dons the cowl as the Dark Knight one more.time and goddamn nails it to the wall. Thank you, Sir.

I only have one real criticism of the film, and thatswith some of the CGI. Notably, the CGI babies near the beginning are creepy as he'll and just not what I needed to see. Other than that, director @andresmuschietti has given a really good superhero film with a solid story and a lot of fun elements. Over the weekend, we lost a iconic figure in the world of entertainment. Actor @realkevinconroy6 who was known for providing the voice of Batman for over 30 years. No words can describe the pain that we are feeling for losing a great man. I was a fan of this man ever since I was 5 years old, no matter what DC Cartoon was on, I knew that he would be there! For 30 years, I've watched him in cartoons or playing the Arkham Video Games, it was great to hear Kevin's voice as Batman! We lost a hero, and a great friend. I never got a chance to meet him, but I was fortunate to get an personalized autographed poster by him. I always say that @michaelkeatondouglas was the Best Batman in my opinion, however Kevin Conroy was The Batman. Thank you for the memories, Kevin. You made my world more awesome! I will always hear your voice when I ready a Batman comic book. We will miss you, and we love you. RIP Dark Knight. Last Thursday was the 33rd anniversary of the release of @timburton ‘s #Batman1989 I had been a #batman fan my whole life and had even learned to read from my parent buying me Batman and #SuperFriends @dccomics #comicbooks . From the moment the movie was announced I was ALL IN! I had no complaints or concerns about the casting of @michaelkeatondouglas I loved all things Batman from the comics to the #Batman66 show to @frankmillerofficial #darkknightreturns Before the movie’s release I grabbed every publication, magazine, newspaper article, ANYTHING I could find about the movie. I came across some of that last year at my parent’s house and brought a few back to be in my permanent collection. I had the movie poster, I bought the Batman mobile that was hanging in the lobby of my local theater, a few months later I bought the official rubber cowl at our local costume shop.
