“Now They Know” A Toni Topaz imagine
You didn’t know how it happened. All you wanted to do was hang out with some guys from the football team and enjoy the last night the drive in would be open. Instead of watching the movie, you were behind the snack shack making out with a Southside Serpent. You had seen her a few times around the north side, without her serpent jacket of course, and thought she was pretty. She must have thought you were good looking to some degree because she waved you over to join her behind the snack shack.
You let out a soft groan when the brunette with pink strands pulled away from the kiss. Toni kept her arms around your neck while you kept your arms around her waist.
“You’re not too bad for a northsider.” She slightly panted.
“And you’re not so bad for a southsider.” You said with a huge grin.
“I need to head back. The gang likes to leave movies early, less cars to swerve around.”
“Can I see you again?”
“Hmm…I don’t know. What does a northsider have to offer me?”
“How about dinner? Pizza at my place?” Toni looked like she was genuinely contemplating accepting your offer. She stepped away from you allowing her arms to fall to her side.
“Saturday night at 7. Pick me up right here.”
Toni winked at you before walking back to where her gang was along with their bikes. You sighed with a huge smile on your face. The southsiders weren’t really that bad.
As the weeks went on you and Toni grew closer until you asked her to be your girlfriend. Once again she pretended to genuinely think about your offer before accepting. You had never been so happy. You just wished you didn’t have to hide one another. The guys on the football team would literally kill you if they found out you were dating a serpent and the serpents would possibly kill you if they found out you were dating one of their own.
“Happily queen of the buskers.” You heard Cheryl’s voice ring out as you walked towards your first class of the day. You noticed a large group of serpents standing in the middle of the hallway and an angry group of football players on the other side.
“Shit.” You whispered as you practically ran towards the crowds, hoping to prevent a fight.
“Why don’t you come over here and say it to my face?” Toni’s normally happy and calm voice said with a harsh tone. You knew if you didn’t step in things were going to get bad.
“Y/n! Just in time to help take out this serpent trash.” Reggie said while taking a step towards Toni.
“Do not call them trash!” Every word came out sounding incredibly intimidating. Everyone’s eyebrows shot up in a questioning manner, you knew there was no going back.
“Why? You got a thing for one of them?” Reggie glared at you like he was about to tackle you. You looked back at Toni, silently asking if it was okay to let everyone know about the two of you. She nodded with fear in her eyes.
“Yeah Mantle, I do. Got a problem with that?” You took a step forward to let Reggie know you weren’t afraid of him. He stood there with a cold look on his face. Your so called “friend” brought his fist back, fully prepared to punch you. Just as his fist barreled towards you, Principal Weatherbee grabbed his hand.
“That’s enough, Mr. Mantle. You can come with me to my office. Everyone else, get to class or you’ll all be in detention.” On that note everyone but the serpents hurried away. You let out a sigh of relief before turning around to face Toni and the gang.
“Wow y/n, didn’t think you had it in you.” Toni teased.
“I couldn’t let him insult you guys. He-“
Before you could finish your declaration of protecting the serpents, Toni wrapped her hands around your neck and kissed you. You heard a few chuckles from the gang a few feet away but you didn’t care. When Toni pulled away, she held your hand and faced her friends.
“Guys, this is y/n, my boyfriend. Y/n, these are the serpents, my family.” The group gave you nods of approval while you gave a little wave.
“Nice to meet you guys.” You managed to get out.
“Thanks for sticking up for us. Not many people do.” The tallest member said with the faintest smile.
“No problem. Any friends of Toni’s are friends of mine.” The warning bell rang causing your heart to race. Sure you almost got into a fist fight with Reggie but being late for class was unacceptable in your book.
“I gotta go, I can’t miss chemistry.” You kissed your girlfriend’s cheek before quickly rushing down the hall. The serpents rolled their eyes before turning their attention to Toni.
“I can’t believe you’re dating a northsider.” Sweet Pea practically groaned.
“Give him a chance. He did just defended us against his friends.” Sweet Pea narrowed his eyes and gave Toni a stern look.
“Fine, but if he pulls any of that northsider shit, I’m so kicking his ass.” Toni laughed and rolled her eyes.
“Come on guys, we have classes to get to.”

this is just me complaining about sabrina ( or lack there of lmao ) in RD.
THATS ALL ??????? I GET TEN MINUTES OF SABRINA ??? & they didn’t even explain how she was in riverdale ??? like i watch a four episodes of this weirdo bullshit to see her & they gave her like ten minutes ( maybe less ) of screentime ??
