So the funny thing about these ais is that they’re. not the same as our canon guys. The ais aren’t completely up to date so keiji is still the man he was just recently after leaving the force and killing his mentor- pathetic sad guy. this makes things super fucking funny but anyways. megumi forces him into working with her but she usually dies early on because everybody hates her because. she just kinda sucks man idk what to tell you.

Aita for protecting my coworker from being fired?

I (28 f) have a coworker (25 m) who is my partner in the police force. Last month, my coworker shot a man. The man was told to be armed with a gun however, when I searched the body, there was no weapon of any sort.

My coworker was distraught at the man’s death, losing sleep and skipping work and meals. I called him and invited him for a drink. We talked and he ended up spilling that he may be fired for his transgression. This felt unjust to me as he was told to shoot without any knowledge of the situation.

Strangely enough, not long after the talk (a week or so) one of my other colleagues (20-something m) gave me a weird ass contract saying if I devoted myself to Asunaro (the name of the police force) I could have any wish granted.

I signed the contract and wished to have my partner not be fired. He confronted me, asking me why he’s not fired, I explained that it was only self defense. He blew up at me, claiming he’s a murderer and that I shouldn’t have made a back room deal.

My partner turned in his two week notice that day.

Yttd has such good commentary on cops. They aren’t the good guys, they aren’t goofily incompetent. Each one is portrayed so differently. They’re seen to the other characters as heroes, protectors of society, but only those in the force have the privilege of realizing that isn’t true firsthand because they do the work. Mr Policeman was able to leave before he was able to do something he regretted but Keiji grew up believing in this system. That they were heroes who protected people. And he willfully looked away until it was too late. Megumi is the idealic cop. The top dog. She cuts deals, she’s shady, she quietly fires people who threaten to expose scandals. Yet, even after Keiji quits and even with how much he despises the force and what it represents, he still tells the cast he’s police because he knows that will make him trusted because he’s learned that no matter how shady he is, people will gladly let things slide if it’s an officer of the law.
