•she thought nothing of you at first hell she didn’t even acknowledge your existence.You tried to talk to her time to time but she ignored you but it was after the prom that she really opened up to you after she opened up to you that’s when she realised that she had feelings for you

•at first she didn’t know how to react she never felt this way towards someone before it took a little while for her to finally get the courage to confess to you after she told you. you blushed 50 shades of red or gray whatever really the thing that she didn’t know was that you felt the same way for her but you didn’t know how to tell her to be honest you were afraid she was going to tease or kill you if you told her.after that yous two started dating

Now for the headcannons

•V absolutely loves teasing you and flirts with you all the time whenever you tease or flirt back she just melts 🫠

•she likes to cuddle every so sometimes she’ll sneak up behind you grab you and she’ll just stick to the ceiling like N does or like a bat and wrap her wings around the both of you like a shield oh and she’s always the big spoon

•N thinks your relationship with V is adorable and likes seeing you both kiss yeah I forgot to mention sometimes N likes to watch you guys kiss back to the story while Uzi thinks it’s…disgusting or weird whenever she sees you kiss she’ll either look away and almost barf or she’ll tell yous both to do it somewhere else

•sometimes when she gets back from hunts she’ll tackle you to the ground and pepper your face with kisses and she’ll nuzzle into your neck like a cat

•she loves you a lot don’t break her heart please 🙏🏻

Ok so I'm reading "my dark Vanessa" and I just read a paragraph when someone calls a girl "The queen of Nile" cause she looks like Cleopatra and dude😭

Back in junior high school I kept calling a friend Cleopatra cause of her haircut

And the last months I've been calling that same girl Vanessa cause a teacher called her that once back in September

Her name is neither Vanessa nor Cleopatra, those are both just nicknames I used for my irl friend 🤣

Every review of My Dark Vanessa begins with a similar sentiment: this is a tough read. I’m not sure how to talk about this book without starting there. I listened to the audiobook, and there were several points in the story where thought “I can’t let anyone overhear this,” and multiple scenes where my full body cringed.

We meet 15-year-old Vanessa as a new student at an East Coast boarding school. She has no friends, she’s across the state from her parents, and she has the misfortune of catching the eye of her 42-year-old English teacher. What ensues is a string of abuse that alters the course of Vanessa’s life forever. Unfortunately, this is a narrative we’ve become too familiar with. I could tell you stories about teachers from my high school who were exposed for dating students. You probably have stories like that about your hometown, too.

The narrative jumps between the early 2000s, where Vanessa is in the thick of her affair with Mr. Strane, and 2017, where a now-grown Vanessa finds herself stuck in a dead-end job, smoking and drinking her life away. Adult Vanessa is thrust into the #MeToo movement when several other girls come forward with accusations against Strane, and Vanessa is encouraged to do the same. Joining their cause would be an admission that her relationship with Strane was something illicit, and Vanessa has clung to the idea that what they shared was a love story. Star-crossed lovers. Humbert and Lolita.

It’s hard to bear witness as Strane isolates and grooms Vanessa. It’s harder still to be inside her mind as she justifies the abuse, desperate to be an active participant in her own trauma. I thought about all of the teenagers who are, at this very moment, going through something like this. Reading this book will make you want to take a taser to the next grown man you see harassing a high school student.
