Comfort fandom.

Just remembering that whether I'm enjoying a series in a community or alone, fandom is my mental/emotional safe place. (But a comfort community IS really nice though, when you can find a safe one.) I just want my fluffiness. A reliable place in my head, whenever I'm going through emotional turmoil.

Nine of clubs.

12/3/2023. Referenced Figma Archetype She as a drawing model. Dip pen and paintbrush, using Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink "Marine Blue". Fixes and clean-up with Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink "White" and Krita.

I can't get digital scans of this ink to look as vibrant as this color is in real life. I'm very bad at color and digital art stuff. I've previously wasted too much time trying to fix the color/saturation in Krita. So, I decided to give up.

Scanned with an extra large book directly atop my sketchbook (vs atop my scanner's cover), to help ensure the paper is properly flat against my scanner's glass, at the time of scanning. Resulted in much clearer, solid whites and a more focused, non-blurry image.

Blackbird (SR-71) jet plane sketch for my dad's birthday card.

10/17-18/2023. Pencil sketch on cream colored cardstock. Colored with Copic markers, Copic Multiliner Brush-M, Zig Clean Color Real Brush, Daler Rowney FW acrylic ink "White" (with dip pen), and Daiso Water Colors (with a paintbrush). Because my scanner makes images too light and drab, I did some adjustments in Krita, to better match my sketch in real life.
