APHMAU AND ZOEY HAD A GOOD SYSTEM. ZOEY WOULD TAKE CARE OF THE KIDS IN DURING THE DAY AND APHMAU WOULD TAKE CARE OF THEM IN THE EVENING. THATS WHAT WORKED FOR THEIR FAMILY.

NOT TO MENTION. APHMAU TOOK HER KIDS IN OUT OF THE PURE KINDNESS OF HER HEART AND LOVED THEM TO DEATH!! IT DIDNT MATTER IF THEY WERE LEFT AT HER DOORSTEP, OR A GHOST THAT COULD LITERALLY SHOW PEOPLE THEIR WORST FEARS, OR FOUND IN A CAVE OF WYVERNS AFTER A BOAT CRASH. EVEN WHEN SHE WAS PREOCCUPIED, SHE ALWAYS HAD PEOPLE MAKING SURE THEY WERE LOVED.

SHE WAS A FULL TIME LORD, OBVIOUSLY SHE WOULDNT BE ABLE TO BE WITH THEM 24/7, AND THEY COULDNT COME WITH HER BECAUSE SHE WAS DOING DANGEROUS WORK.

LEAVE MY GIRL ALONE! SHE LOVED HER KIDS SO MUCH AND MADE SURE THEY WERE TAKEN CARE OF EVEN WHEN SHE COULDNT CARE FOR HERSELF.

Like speaking as someone with a sibling that’s like a decade and a half younger, they must have the funniest relationship.

They’re fighting with a toddler over their mom, who came first, who can sit next to mom at dinner

I think the kids aren't given enough attention so here are some head cannons about them

Yip learn how to use a bow and arrow from Logan. In fact Logan heavily influenced Yip. Yip becomes a merchant, and travels from time to time. He hunts and practices medicine on the side, as Donna taught him how to heal others.

Alexis doesn't remember her older brother Brian, but she knows he was a bad guy. She was told to never touch root beer from her father. Her mother had mixed feelings about her becoming a guard, due to her past. She lets nekoette braid and put flowers in her hair.

Kyle also lets nekoette braid his hair, but he doesn't he doesn't like flowers in his hair. He sends letters to his parents monthly. He likes exploring the old mines, and drawing blueprints.

Levin picked up Aphmau's bad sleeping habits. He reads the letters Aphmau left constantly as he doesn't fully remember her. He likes to swim when he can, he's a very fast swim.

Malachi can't use his Magicks anymore, but he can easily read people. He doesn't show his own emotions much, but his friends can easily read him. He uses daggers and sheath to fight. He had to drag Levin to bed so often, he developed a sixth sense when someone was overworked.

Lilith has a great memory, she remembers things from the early days of the Phoenix Alliance island. When she gets older, she travels constantly. She is a huge dad's girl, she wanted to be exactly like him. She wears a choker with Raven's wyvern on it.

Alina becomes Lord of the Phoenix Alliance island. She doesn't leave the island much, but when she does she tries to fit in to the island she is in. She is a big fan of seafood, and it's almost all she eats.

General head cannons: Yip and Malachi are dating, but only their friends know. Aaron and Garroth trained Lilith and Alina. Yip trains Alexis, Kyle, Levin, Malachi how to use a bow and arrow. Yip brings his siblings to play with Lilith and Alina often, the parents don't mind. All of them travel together occasionally, but it's not often.

In my rewrite Garroth is Levin’s bio dad, who then helps raise him with Aphmau, and Laurance is a father figure for Malachi.

Garnet is originally adopted by Aaron and Aphmau helps care for her, then when Aaron dies Aphmau adopts her and Garroth becomes a sort of father to her. Laurance is Lina’s father and Garroth steps up as a father figure to her too. And that’s not even MENTIONING everything Zoey did.

Basically what I’m getting at is that Aphmau has 2 metaphorical baby daddies, 1 actual baby daddy, and an overworked nanny that’s basically her wife.

Alright alright I should probably post this, sorry for a sudden disappearance! Elves carry for about 10-11 months

They have cravings for magic induced fruits

Within the culture elves embroider on a blanket for their babies , not just for fun but for a spell that’s woven in the blanket for protection (this practice is now banned in Yggdrasil due to the law of using magicks )

Usually in Yggdrasil there’s a garden for expecting mothers, young children and their parents , and new borns and parents to soak in the nature magic’s . It relaxes them and it’s a need for children and new Borns to walk around the garden. Since Zoey is banished from Yggdrasil she’s kinda just walks around a neighbors garden , but garroth makes their own private garden with the help of Travis and Lucinda for magical plants!

So I may have gotten myself obsessed with Minecraft Diaries again after many years. I’ve been reading through peoples complaints with the characters and their development and there are always 2 characters that I don’t often see people really talking about. Season 2 Levin and Malachi

After 15 years with their mother missing, you’re telling me that everything just went back to normal? (I don’t mean that Aphmau and her children need to have an unhealthy relationship, but just a couple bumps in the road to make it just a tad more realistic.)

Give me a Levin who feels pressure to be a Lord just like his mother, and the pressure only intensifies after Aphmau returns.

Give me a Malachi that is furious with Aphmau when she returns, yelling at her about how he thought that she was abandoning him just like his birth parents.

Give me a Levin who is suffering under the weight of the stress of being a Lord and give me Aphmau quietly supporting him, bringing him food and tea, making sure all his needs are met and ONLY offering help if he asks for it.

Give me a Malachi that is actually useful in season 2, and who has an actual role, perhaps as a diplomat, but something other than doing all the errands for Levin and then disappearing when the plot forgets about him.

Levin and Malachi had the best set up to be incredibly complex characters with large parts in the story, but they both ended up to be so disappointingly one-sided characters with practically no actual reason to be there.

Day 5: Next Generation

I really like coming up for older designs of characters we see in the show. For Alina, I think she’d take more after her father, becoming the more stoic and resilient (albeit somewhat snarky) head guard of Phoenix Drop, while Lilith just turns into an absolute menace to society. I think there would be some real quality banter and bickering between them as they got older. 

(Also I headcanon that Lilith did in fact get a face tattoo of a wyvern and Garroth had a barely-concealed stroke when she proudly showed it off for the first time).

Music Boxes and Plushies

So we all know (and love) the music box that Levin has. The melody is familiar and comforting, right? The melody is "Okage Shadow Melody," I believe was the actual name of the song.

Additionally, I have this cute mental image of Alina and Lilith playing with all of the toys Aphmau had for Levin and Malachi before her time in the Irene dimension. Like the stuffed white bunny in the S1 nursery room, I can see Lilith carrying that poor thing around until it's so worn it's mostly patchwork (courtesy of Zoey's neat stitching). Alina loved the yellow rocking horse, I bet. Imagine Levin and Malachi teaching them how to play with the toys and kneeling on the floor with them to play pretend <3
