OK SO ZANE IS COMPLETELY REWRITTEN UHH

Garte DIES a few years before the events of s1 in this, which sends Zianna spiraling and ... uh.. she maybe joins a cult <3 and also makes her son part of the cult (cult pope) <3 He gets to wear a pretty veil and a very creepy mask to hide his face <3

Zane (actually named Zuwellyn, Zane is the Irene equivalent of a baptismal name) is consistently being manipulated by the older cult members AND his mother (he's a mama's boy, ok?) from a very young age. A lot of the "random" evil stuff he does is either retconned or explained as him following his mother's orders to gain more power for O'Khasis (i.e. him giving Aaron's son that amulet that just kinda killed everyone).

He still officiates Donna and Logan's wedding, where he then meets Kiki, and they actually hit it off - they spend a lot of time together where Kiki starts to kinda get concerned about some of the stuff Zane says about the church of Irene and the members.

He lingers around Phoenix Drop for a while because of Garroth (who he confronts at some point for running away and just completely abandoning him and their mother along with dumping all of his responsibilities onto Zane).

A lot of the stuff isn't written out yet because I need to yap about it more to my friend so I can figure out what sounds good.

I would have loved Leona to be Zane’s biological child.

I would love to see her freak out because she’s lived in a farm her whole life and now she finds out her father is a war criminal and tyrant.

I would have loved to have her be the next lord of O’khasis and everyone scrambling to try and make sure she’s not a Zane Ro’meave 2.

I would have loved to see Leona try to ask anyone and everyone about Zane only to be brushed off.

I would have loved to see Leona cry about having to live up to impossible expectations all because her father was monster.

I would love for Leona to realize she laughs like her father because of the terrified looks she gets when she does laugh.

I would love for Kiki to talk about when she met Zane and how he was a “real charmer.” And for Zianna to talk about when he was younger.

I would love to see Lilith and Alina watch her have her “Lady transformation” and they don’t recognize her at first. Leona still volunteering to babysit because it reminds her of her old life before she started training for lordship.

I would love to see Leona pretend she doesn’t like Yip because she knows it won’t work and she has a enough weight on her shoulders already.

I would love to see Zianna discourage her from learning about Esmund or Irene even though she’s a devout follower.

I would love for Leona to wonder if her father really did plan for her to exist and be an heir or was she just a side effect and a lucky preservation of the Ro’meave line??

Some information -

Gal'Ruk was once much bigger, with more islands scattered behind their main one. Over time, those have vanished.

Tu'La is filled with peach, yellow, and orange sands and deserts on one side, and vibrant red orange forests and thick areas of flowers on the other, alongside gorgeous beaches compared to paradise. The large stone Kings castle has sadly killed off an area of the forestry.

Starlight is an area of land not belonging to any of the regions, despite being associated with Irene of Ru'aun.

O'Khasis has been separated from the Ru'aun region since the war against Tu'la and many places within Ru'aun, this makes O'Khasis the only separated village, and technically labeling itself as it's own region entirely.

The Lycan Islands and the surrounding dead land have a shared ownership between Ru'aun and Gal'Ruk, as the Divine and mythologies associated with the land have strong connections to the Warlocks Forest, and the lesser known Falcon Claw.

Sun Beach in Tu'la is more commonly known as the very popular Love~Love Paradise resort, and has over time become more accommodating to tourists and visitors than its own people and culture.

Character sheets take longer than I thought (I'm drawing on my phone without a stylus help me)

I am absolutely TERRIBLE at drawing guys body types so I had to stare at reference photos for like ever and I chose discus athletes as my frame of reference. It's better than my usual work but still not perfect so I'm glad I don't have to do scar/tattoo maps for all of the characters.

very common headcanon I know but I imagine all the the Ro'meaves are tall with Garroth being around 6"7-6"8. HOWEVER he and his brothers inherited their height from Zianna not Garte. With Zianna being around 7ft and Garte being around 5"11 (Which is still tall but like he's the shortest so he WOULD make everyone sit for family portraits)

I'm getting rid of the cross on Garroth's design and replacing it with a star symbol, maybe something to symbolize Irene's power or something. The "gem" in the center is actually dyed quartz as it's customary for head guard to place a false gem of glass or a cheap gemstone to mimic the look of the Jury of Nine. Guards are gifted slightly higher quality stone or hunks of metal if they are on the waitlist for the Jury as well.

I know we make fun of the fact he never changed his name but there was a period in where like 20 percent of the English population was named Mary so he can keep his name unlike Aph.

I'm basing O'khasis on specifically on places like Wales, Ireland, England and France so maybe expect some later design elements from there.

His cape is "faerie silk", which is one of the few exports from the Yggdrasill forest region and is known for its durability. It's one of the few items Zoey always keeps in stock because after the incident with Zenix, Garroth incorporated it into Phoenix Drop's guard uniform.

I keep running into problems with ages because Diaries is just inconsistent like that but I THINK 24 is a good enough age??? I'd explain but that's a whole ass post about the Ro'Meaves that isn't set in stone until I figure out how evil I'm making Zane and reworking how the lord system works.

His armor was originally way too fancy for Phoenix drop but I imagine that it fell into disrepair after the lord dies. Aphelia and Laurance get his armor fixed up for him for his birthday one year before everything goes downhill.

The scar on his face is because Zenix swung a giant-ass blade at his face and I refuse to believe he walked away from that fight unharmed physically

I know it's hard to see BUT HE HAS STUBBLE. He always attempts to grow a full beard but after like 2 weeks it gets too itchy and he just goes back to the stubble.

if you're still here pls send in a request for the last character sheet for now because Laurance has like 5 outfits and I don't want to draw all of themmmmmmmmm help.

Listen, okay, hear me out. I don't cure Laurance's sight, he just has to be blind and learn to live with that. And it won't be easy. But when someone joins the party, someone who always covers their eyes, he's able to start learning. And while nobody knows why Aaron wears that bandana exactly, Laurance can tell. He knows exactly why Aaron wears it. Blocking out what little vision he has lets him hone his other senses. He's mastered an art that Laurance is a beginner in, and despite wanting to keep his distance, there's a pity he feels for the guard throwing himself into a danger he can't see, and offers to help train him in the ways of blind fighting.

Mikai Concept Design (+HCS)

When it comes to being a fighter, I see Mikai as the face of the revolution, the tank and the strategist. His clothes are bright and demand your attention, both in battle and in diplomatic settings. He has tattoos in order to use his most spells often, he teleports people out of danger (reference to meifwas sharing a common ancestor with enderman cause its funny but I digress). He carries a heavy shield to protect people, but ultimately his strongest DPS abilities come from his magic. Erm, if you have any questions about him you could send me asks about it heart emoji. A lot of my fanon for him is tied to my version of Tu'la and the Tu'lan revolution

In my rewrite Garroth is Levin’s bio dad, who then helps raise him with Aphmau, and Laurance is a father figure for Malachi.

Garnet is originally adopted by Aaron and Aphmau helps care for her, then when Aaron dies Aphmau adopts her and Garroth becomes a sort of father to her. Laurance is Lina’s father and Garroth steps up as a father figure to her too. And that’s not even MENTIONING everything Zoey did.

Basically what I’m getting at is that Aphmau has 2 metaphorical baby daddies, 1 actual baby daddy, and an overworked nanny that’s basically her wife.

PART TWOOOO, Nana time <3

Nana is VERY different in this! Er. As different as she can be I suppose. She's a sovereign from Tu'La and acting as an ambassador for the region - Speaking using the royal We. (She also speaks Catspeak). Her magic, rather than just making little dolls come to life, is soul transference, meaning she can pull the soul out of someone and put it into another object/person.

Anyway story-wise: On Penelope (Aphmau)'s way back to Phoenix Drop from Scaleswind, she comes across Nana's camp just .... swarmed with dolls. Nana, being a noble, hasn't ever really taken care of herself before, and thus uses her dolls to do everything for her - which Penelope finds a bit disturbing, but she's easily won over by "Maid cafe.... for you <3". Penelope, after staying the night in Nana's camp, invites her to come stay in Phoenix Drop and they head back together.
