According to the lot essay, Napoleon gave Mayer an apartment in Paris and bought some of her paintings. She studied under Joseph-Benoît Suvée and Jean-Baptiste Greuze. During the early 1800s, she joined the studio of Jacques-Louis David and collaborated with Pierre-Paul Prud'hon.

Today's 123 Rhodes Island Translation, It's Mayer! Oiter

Tl Notes: I'll probably stop talking about how I felt overall since now they're all kinda similar in difficulty. The most notable point is in the first comic, on the last panel where I wrote "That requires me to"" go outside!" the original was more "Obviously it's because the meebos can help me finish" "any outside work!" I just felt like this was just funnier idk what else to say.

the 2nd comic has more things to say first off Saria or the bubble that says "I disagree" originally was 我不觉得。 or simply "I don't think so." while it worked I felt like an "I disagree." just like a more natural response.

Idk what to call Saria's gun other than just a gun, but the line I guess is more "then lets give the well maintained gun to saria later" since 保养 can mean repair or maintain its not really a big change It just gave me trouble for some reason.

Anyways for the last line, I originally translated as "Always feeling like that... how enviable!" It's because 羡慕 most directly means envy since jealous as a word in China typically means something far uglier. Like I hate that person Ievel. But it kinda didn't fit the beginning so I went with "I always felt... so jealous!"

Emilie Mayer gets overlooked so often as a romantic composer who was a woman. No. 2 encapsulates the early romantic period perfectly, and honestly gives some of Beethoven's symphonies a run for his money despite its lack of popularity.

Dvořák 8

Like a year ago I played an arrangement of the finale in school and then later I listened to the full symphony and I was like wowza that was really really good, I was thinking either this or Mahler 9, but I guess I like this symphony just a wee bit more. I just really like this symphony idk why though.

The most human of all symphonies and my favourite symphony by my favourite composer. It starts so reflectively and gradually builds up some positivity before an exuberant finale. Plus it’s so much fun to play.
