negative post incoming: i think the majority of the new pokemon are just. so ugly. i wasn't planning on getting the game ever since i saw the first trailers bc i do Not like the drastic style change (they took away everyone's cute anime faces!!) but anyway since i never planned on getting it i never rly looked up a lineup of the new pokemon and uhhhh. every time i see a new one i'm either like. "meh" "thats hideous" or even "that's a pokemon???"

like i never liked the criticism "it doesn't look like a pokemon" before, as someone who has always been a fan of most of the new pokemon designs every game, i Have to become the thing i hate and say that some of these things legit do not look like pokemon and that some are straight up hideous 😭

that's not to say there aren't a handful that i do like, but like man usually seeing new pokemon is exciting for me, sumo and swsh had a lot of pokemon that became my Favorites (alcremie and galarian ponyta my beloveds) and im just comparing my feeling of excitement from seeing new pokemon in those games to seeing the new ones in this game and it is just. a drastically different feeling 😬
