Sims 2 - committed polyamorous relationships mod

Updated 08 July 2020 to fix an error where sims would reject propose/ go steady when they shouldn’t have.

With much, much help from @midgethetree, I’ve combined the Adults Go Steady (with Last Name Chooser) and Engagement Requires Steady mods and then edited them to allow multiple committed relationships.

Teens can go steady, young adults can go steady and then get engaged, and adults/elders can go steady, then get engaged, then get married, to multiple partners. Each individual partnership has to go through those stages in order: if Natasha is engaged to Florence and also wants to marry Alexandra, she has to go steady with and then propose engagement to Alexandra as well.

You’ll want to replace Adults Go Steady and Engagement Requires Steady with this one; I believe it conflicts with marriagetraditional as well.

Jealousy and cheating memories will not be affected by this mod. Unless you have something to prevent that, sims will still get jealous of their partners’ other partners, and sims will get the ‘cheating’ memory when romantically interacting with any partners but the latest one (and witnesses will get the gossip memory). ACR (which this mod is compatible with) or your preferred no jealousy mod will handle the former.

Let me know (with error logs) if you have issues.

who is more likely to hurt the other?By now its hard to say who would be able to do that, but considering Mars more agressive temper, its likely Mar.

who is emotionally stronger?Both grew up with the stigma of beeing a Halforc, so eventually both have a very thick skin. EVentually it must be said, that Mar had been in more battles than Keynelis, so her emotional deadening could be interpreted as emotional strenght in a negative way.

who is physically stronger?Although Keynelis is taller and also more heavy than Mar, it would eventually be Mar who is physically stronger even thought she is more compact. If it ever comes to a battle of armwrtesling, Keynelis had to prepare himself for shame and failure.

who is more likely to break a bone? Since Mar would threw herself before Keynelis without a question, its more likely Mar. However, broken bones grew back together stronger.

who knows best what to say to upset the other? By now it is Keynelis, although it is not on purpose.

who is most likely to apologise first after an argument? For now Keynelis and Mar had not had a argument, but consideirng Mars stubborness it would likely be not her.who treats who’s wounds more often? Since Mar has a basicknowledge of healing it would proably be her as long as its not about taking care of the others tail. (Heh)

who is in constant need of comfort? For this it would probably be Mar, although she would probably not know how to show it which would end in a even bigger frustration on her side.

who gets more jealous? Probably Mar, considering her insecurity.who’s most likely to walk out on the other? For now the two Halforcs tempers had not clashed, but Mar had been the one who woule redraw herself from awkward or tensed situations. So for now it would probably be her. who will propose? Since I do not know anything about marriagetraditions in the culture Keynelis grew up in and Mar would never marry it would likely be none of them.who has the most difficult parents?Both grew up as Halforcs between people who would always remaind them of their bloodline. However while Keynelis was in the care of a towards him colder growing Mother and a abusive stepfather, Mar was nurtured by a loving fostress, although she had never met her biological parents.who initiates hand-holding when they’re out in public? It would be Keynelis, since Mar does not show affection in Public and will likely move away, if Key would try to do just that.

who comes up for the other all the time? Considering Mars temper, she would be up n her feet defending Keynelis before the other would even be able to notice what is happening.who hogs the blankets? Keynelis, definitive.However, since Mar wraps her limbs around him like a octupus the favour would be returned.who gets more sad? Keynelis seems to be more in a healthier touch with his own emotions, at least in contrast to Mar who will just stubbornly ignore or surpress everything.who is better at cheering the other up? Mars way of cheering people up is a proper dinnerand everything that goes beyond making sure that the other is well sated, is something that she is very clumsy in. Accordingly, if Keynelis is just a little bit better at cheering people up than Mars poor skills, Key would be better at cheering her up.

who’s the one that playfully slaps the other all the time after they make silly jokes?It would be Mar. While the woman loves the silliest and dryest jokes, she would not burst into laughter in public, so she will just hide behind a hand before her mouth and nudge the mans shoulder.who is more streetwise?Since Mar had probably worked longer in Garrisons and fieldcamps it is more likely that she is more streetwise than Keynelis. Although all wisdom dies when her horrible temper breaks through.

who is more wise?Considering Keynelis had spend most of his childhood reading books, he could be considered mre wise than Mar, also he is around twohundred years older than the other Halforc and therefor has more life-expierence than her.

who’s the shyest? Considering the incident about counting freckles, it is probably Mar who is more shy. And also much more stiff about relationships and touch in general.

who boasts about the other more? It would probably be Keynelis, if he would be inclined to boast about romances. Mar is too strict to talk about such private subjects like relationships.

who sits on who’s lap? Since Keynelis would probably break Mars femurs if he would sit himself on Mars lap with all his glorious bodymass boxed in his eight feet of bodylenght and Mar is too shy to sit on other peoples lap, it would be noone.
