How does nooroo feel about Tom in your villian dad au?
After initial introductions, Tom basically thinks Nooroo is a figment of his imagination and a testament to his mind crumbling from the grief of losing Sabine. Nooroo gets an inside look on what really matters to tom, though
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tom uses the butterfly miraculous not for himself, but for the benefit of his daughter. The vengeance he's trying to take on "Hawkmoth" isn't quite as simple as "you're responsible for the death of my wife," it stems from a very, very different source - which makes Nooroo more sympathetic to helping him.
He's still not thrilled, but, Marinette and Tom are so kind to him, he really can't find it in himself to complain.

Thoughts on the love square because I need to figure out why the flip isn't working for me:
So... we flipped. Which is cool and fun and all, but also I think that it happened in a way that misses the point, or at the very least some interesting potential.
The premise of this show is so good- and it has a clear resolution state. Each character thinks their in love with this idealized perfect version of their classmate, all while unknowingly rejecting that person's other identity. In order for these characters to get together, they first need to learn to love their other halves. And seemingly, that's what the square flip has done, but... idk. It's not playing for me. And maybe I know why? Idk.
My first assumption was that Chat and Mari were the more sincere versions of both these characters, where they have all their flaws and impulses on display, and so flipping the square would essentially prove that they'd fallen in love with all of each other. And while that might have been true at the beginning of the show, the relationships between these characters have deepened and complicated a lot, there’s not such a harsh split between the two personalities, and that statement just doesn't hold true anymore. So, no, it's not marrichat that'll solve the love square. As we've seen, it didn't really work out well, and I for one was very surprised at the dynamic it took on.
Idk, for me elation wasn't marichat, it was just a quick role reversal episode. It missed the whole appeal of marichat, at least for me. And I guess that's because the relationship I've always imagined marichat as, is like... healthy? Accidental? Real? The whole appeal was that they didn't have a crush on each other, so them falling in love that way was like, ironic. It requires that Mari and chat have a relationship that is established first and then developed into a romantic thing, not that they happen to have a crush on each other at the same time. And with that not being what we ended up with, it has recontextualized the problem for me.
The problem isn't that these different identities are getting in the way of their love like i previously assumed, it's that they don't actually love each other. Marinette likes Adrien in a celebrity high school crush capacity. Chat likes Ladybug in a hot girl at work capacity. These are not a solid basis for actual long term relationships. That's why marichat is appealing, because it's the only relationship between the two that's a blank slate, untouched by these obsessive crushes. But that's kinda a bust now. So... I'm not sure which side of the square I'm on. And the stragest part about this move is that it doesn't even really change much.
Marrinette is not only stupidly love struck around Chat now, but still clumsy around Adrien, and Adrien is a stupid soft boi around Mari still, he just blushes more. This isn't change or progression in their dynamic, it's just a shift of setting. The way these two develop crushes so quickly on new people is not healthy or nuanced. There's this deep sense of obsession that comes with them, and it's just not good. Not to mention it doesn't really makes sense. Adrien getting his mind out of 'she's just a friend' mode should take a little while. Marrinette's crush on chat should've been swamped with hesitancy for a long while before she comes to terms with it. These hyperfixating crushes are cute and all, but they're keeping our characters stuck at this surface level that prevents any real progression from happening.
It baffles me that Marinette rejecting her crush on Adrien doesn’t finally get us past her nervous train wreck energy when she's around him. Like maybe Adrien liking her would actually make sense if she was finally free of her crush, and so starting acting more natural and confident around him. Maybe it's now Adrien who is a scatter brained mess around her! That would actually be a fun dynamic reversal! It would be change! Progression! Reaction! How about have Adrien react to Mari having a crush on him for years? How about have ladybug react to chat finally having let go of his? How about have these characters feel like they actually know each other- because they do!
And hey, maybe that's the point the writers are going to make. These characters can't get together if they don't know each other's identities, because any way you slice it, they'd be dating half a person. Fine. But that doesn't mean them learning to like the different sides of this person separately shouldn't be framed as progress of some kind or another. The love should become more real the more sides of this person they learn to love, even in descreat parts, right?
This set up, by design, is a friends to lovers story. They think they're just friends, but it turns out they love each other. So why wouldn't you make it so that when they do fall in love, it progresses from friends to lovers- not that they happen to align their crushes with each other at the right moment, or maybe that their identities get revealed to each other, forcing them into it. Cuz really, those are the only options left at this point. Every set of romantic attractions has been explored, so we can't have their love evolve out of something that isn't an obsessive crush.
I just... I guess I was waiting for the relationship between these two to get more intimate in a platonic sense in order to allow for the actual romance to blossom. And I guess I'm still waiting...

Lila poisons the opinion against Marinette to an important individual or company. Adds a grain of truth to the lies to make it more believable. (ex. embellish stuff to make it seem worse like Marinette's crush, clumsiness, unbelievable lies to ditch events, etc.) Over time, their perception of Marinette is changed for the better.
Warnings
This is a draft
Siena Solace is a very famous fashion designer, on par with Gabriel Agreste. Having heard of MDC, she visits Paris under the claim of a joint collaboration with Gabriel to promote Lila. Aka, Gabriel promised Lila a shot at modelling but doesn’t want to give her a full-time contract in case her lies backfire.
While working with Lila, Siena asks if she knows MDC, because Adrien had nothing but praise for her.
Fuming, Lila then tells Siena that Marinette has an obsessive crush on Adrien to the point of stalking him, trying to sabotage the competition, and even stealing his phone or trying to steal a wax model hairstrand.
To be fair, that is true. But here come the lies.
So of course Marinette is nice to Adrien and anyone important. But she is just awful to all the other girls.
Siena hums thoughtfully. “But why didn’t you tell Adrien?”
Lila: he’s good friends with Chloe, the biggest bully of the school. He is really passive about this sort of thing and tries to be friends with everybody.
Good job giving Siena a bad impression of Adrien, too.
Siena was still doubtful but decided to test her suspicions.
She held a gala and invited Adrien and Chloé. True to form, Chloé insulted many people and Adrien noticed but did nothing.
Ugh.
Next, Siena ordered one of her models to go up to Adrien and invite him for a meal while she was in town. Adrien agreed and didn’t notice Marinette glaring at the model girl dragging her crush away.
Hmm, seems like Lila was telling the truth. What a shame. Siena had been looking forward to making Marinette her protege.
Anyway, Lila’s career was moving forward. But Siena was receiving feedback from exasperated staff. Lila was pretty but she just didn’t have that model quality. She was just so...fake.
It didn’t help that she liked to brag and never shut up, trying to tell professionals how to do their jobs.
Photographer: I feel like I just met Gilderoy Lockhart’s daughter.
Sighing, Siena decided to let Lila go. Lila sure put up a tantrum and did her best to slander the company. Though leaked video footage revealed Lila’s insufferable behavior on set. Fellow models happily eliminated their competition by telling reporters how horrible she was.
Commenters also did their research on the lies Lila was video recorded saying. In addition to an obnoxious and vain attitude, she was also a compulsive liar.
Well, Paris was a bust. Siena was getting ready to head back to America.
She was surprised to see certain people at the airport.
Marinette was happily greeting two girls and their mothers from America.
Siena briefly paused. Since Lila herself turned out to be a nasty liar, maybe she had also lied about Adrien and Marinette. Mixing truth with lies always makes a lie stronger.
If that’s the case, then Siena supposed Adrien had his reasons for being friends with Chloé. And as for Marinette’s jealousy...well, love blinds...
Siena just hoped they would grow out of these flaws as they grew up. Maybe control their jealousy and take a stronger stand against bullies.

Two Way Link
When Marinette cracks and gets akumatized, it’s not what she’s expecting. Hawkmoth is equally confused and more worried than she is. Turns out the mindlink is a two way streak, and her earrings make the link even stronger. Needless to say, some secrets got revealed.
Marinette had allowed herself to imagine herself as an akuma before. It was kind of hard not to when their class started bets for if Marinette or Adrien would get akumatized first. It also didn’t help after seeing Chat Noir’s akumazation first hand. If she ever got akumatized, Hawkmoth wouldn’t win. Oh No. The world would be in ruins. So if it wasn’t already an obvious goal, Marinette made it her mission to never even let a butterfly touch her. Of course she’s only human, and when she’s sleep deprived and dealing with a lot of extra stress her emotions run rampant. Not only did she deal with both night and day akumas for the past week, she also had extra work planning the fundraising events and the school trip. Include all her requests from her friends for different things and her regular school work, Marinette was already at her breaking point. Top it off with a couple idiotic stories from Rossi while the girl would slip in comments dissing the bluenette, and you got the recipe for a perfect akuma victim.
Marinette wasn’t even in the right headspace to try to hold off her emotions. She simply nursed her large cup of coffee, that may or may not be the 6th cup of the day, as she stewed in her seat. Why was her class a bunch of idiots? Like Marinette cared for them still, don’t get her wrong, but they hanged off her every word like it was air. Why didn’t they get curious and do a little research of their own? It would have saved everyone the trouble. And Adrien’s dumb high road advice would do more harm than good. He’s worried about Lila getting akumatized? Try the whole class when the truth gets out. Of course, Marientte had almost been akumatized because of Lila. Maybe she should have slipped that into her conversation with Adrien. That might have changed his mind. It didn’t matter much now though. She had just begun to speak normally around him. He might think that Marinette was lying about it to make him see her way, and that wasn’t a risk she was willing to take.
No one even noticed the butterfly coming into the room. It was only noticed when it landed on the coffee cup that Marinette held and the glowing mask appeared on her face. Very quickly, the class turned around and stared at their class rep. Marinette merely blinked a few times before groaning. “Really!? Come on! I was doing so good until now. Okay, you know what, fine. You want to akumatized me? Whatever. Just put the butterfly somewhere other than my coffee. I need that if I’m going to make it through today. You’re to blame for this, by the way. You couldn’t have just stopped with the akumas for the day could you. I mean one a day is bad enough. Why did you have to do two in one day? And at, like, 2am dude? Really?” Hawkmoth was just confused as the rest of her class. Marinette’s face scrunched up before her jaw dropped. “WAIT! GABRIEL AGRESTE!? YOU’RE HAWKMOTH!!?” The class paused before freaking out. Hawkmoth paled. He didn’t even get time to do his monologue before the girl started to speak out at him. As he started to reading deeper into her thoughts, he realized something. “You’re… Ladybug?” He was honestly surprised that this clumsy girl could possibly be Ladybug. Marinette just scowled. “Oh stop. I can feel your judgment from here. It’s a secret identity for a reason. Of course I’ll act differently with magical jewelry. Except, you don’t act too different than you do in real life. Maybe treat your son better, will you? He needs to have a backbone for when Rossi and Cholé drape themselves over him.” Cholé gasped and Lila tried to turn the tale but Marinette continued.
“I’ll give Cholé the benefit of the doubt since she had been childhood friends with him, but what Lila’s doing is bordering of sexual harassment. And you employed her as a model too. Like do you even care about you own son’s mental well-being?” Gabriel made the mistake of thinking about Lila and Marinette’s face shifted from shock to neutral. “Okay, so you made her spy on Adrien and report back to you as well as cause akumas. Got it. And that’s an interesting fact about her willingly getting akuamtized. Too bad my class has become too ignorant to realize that every word she says is nothing more than bull crap.” Hawkmoth, Gabriel, should have tried to rein her in. However when he tried it, magic was interfering. It was something that Nooroo had warned him about once before when he expressed the desire to akumatized Ladybug or Chat Noir. They would naturally have more resistance to him, especially Ladybug since her powers balanced for good and becoming evil would take drastic measures. Before he could try to act, the girl spoke again. “Oh, it’s nice to know that you at least let Nooroo talk. Seriously, I forgot about that whole Sandboy fiasco for a second. You couldn’t have at least allowed Nooroo to enjoy his whatever number cycle in peace. You had to traumatize so many people by creating their nightmares.” No one noticed as Adrien slipped away to transform.
Plagg flew out of his pocket and had the audacity to be laughing. “What is so funny?!” He demanded. Marinette was akumatized! Not only that, but she was Ladybug. Ladybug was akumatized and the akuma won’t be purified. Nor would any of the damage be reversed. Not to mention that his own dad was apparently Hawkmoth. Plagg caught his breath and was able to speak. “I’m sorry, but it’s too funny! This love square you guys had going on was great entertainment already. Top that with what Spots is doing and it’s gold.” Adrien decided to ignore what Plagg was saying for now and transform instead. While he was doing that, Marinette decided to discover something very important: what Gabriel’s motivation was.
Marinette clamped a hand to her mouth as she pulled the memory from his mind. Then that shock turned to hot rage. “ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?” ALL THIS TIME YOU HAVE KEPT YOUR WIFE IN A GLASS COFFIN IN YOUR FUCKING BASEMENT LAIR?!?” Hawkmoth actually flinched from the raw power and anger she emanated. He made the mistake of recalling the peacock miraculous, setting the girl off on another tangent. “AND YOU’RE ALLOWING NATHALIE TO USE A BROKEN MIRACULOUS?!? Wow! Just, Wow!” Maybe if he detransformed and left now, he wouldn’t have to face the girl’s wrath. Nooroo’s powers allowed them to feel the strength of a person’s emotions. Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s emotions showed that even without powers or a miraculous, she would kill him with her bare hands. If he was told a day before that she would be capable of murder, he would never have believed it. Now though, he was scared.
It was at that time that Chat Noir decided to bust in. He was both shocked and impressed that Marinette was still holding out. Maybe if he destroyed the object now she won’t be transformed. Of course would that negatively effect her somehow? Before he could ponder it longer, the girl in question acted first. “You better meet me in front of your mansion and give me both the butterfly and peacock miraculous. You also better fire Rossi and put a restraining order on her so she can’t touch Adrien again. Otherwise this cup will be replaced with your neck.” Marinette crushed the cup with her hand and the butterfly flew out. Standing up, she called on her transformation before her kwami could protest. She swiped the akuma out from the air and looked around. The whole class was quite. Lila didn’t even try to say anything, and in fact she shrunk under her stare. “Alrighty then. Time to go kitty.” She walked calmly out of the room, ignoring everything that just had happened. Chat paused before following her.
Back in his lair, Gabriel detransformed from shock. Nooroo tried to hide his smirk. Wordlessly, he went back into the main part of his house and approached Natalie. She looked confused. “What’s wrong? I thought you were finally akuamtizing Miss Dupain-Cheng?” Gabriel just shook his head and held his hand out. He was slightly shaking. “Just give me the peacock miraculous. Turns out, she’s a lot more dangerous than expected.” Natalie wanted to question her boss, but he seemed to be in shock. She did as asked and followed him as he walked out the front doors of the mansion. Outside was a smiling Ladybug and a concerned Chat Noir. Ladybug’s smile looked dangerous, like she was giving a warning. When Gabriel willingly handed over both miraculouses, Ladybug laughed. A dangerous sweetness dripping out. “Thank you! Also you better be honest with what you’re wife was doing with the miraculous when the police question you. I’ll see if the damage can be undone without the potential for ending the world. Oh also I will be taking your son away. He deserves better parents and I’m sure that mine will spoil him. Chat you take his assistant, I’ll grab him. It’s time to drop them off.” Chat grabbed Natalie and had her over his shoulder before she could react. Ladybug did the same to Gabriel, ensuring that neither could make a grab for their miraculouses.
A lot of things happened on that day. Hawkmoth and Mayura were announced to be defeated. Gabriel confessed to having Lila work for him both as a spy and as a willing accomplish for Hawkmoth. Adrien’s mom was brought to a hospital and Master Fu repaired the peacock miraculous and reversed the damage done to both her and Natalie. Lila was taken off to serve time in juvie and the two adults went to jail. Adrien was not to blame and was unofficially adopted by Marinette’s parents, which resulted in him spending a lot of time at the bakery. Adrien’s mom and Gabriel both revealed how she was forced into the marriage and forced to use the miraculous against her will. She got a divorce and ensured that Adrien got therapy. He was able to quit modeling and even got a restraining order against Lila just in case. He revealed himself to Marinette after a month and they decided to date. Her class did everything to make it up to the bluenette, but she merely shrugged at their words. She could care less now. They only wanted her to be their friend again because she was Ladybug. She and Chat announced their retirement to Paris two weeks after Hawkmoth’s defeat, although she still got to see Tikki and Plagg. It seemed like getting akumatized was the best thing that had happened to her.

ML: Are They Worthy? Chapter 2: Against the World!/Gentleman
Vlad, who had now transformed into the mysterious grey figure, lept to the top of the building. He casually walked toward the hatch and opened it. He saw Marinette sleeping right below him “Yeah, this is creepier than I first thought,” he said to himself, as he remembered an earlier conversation with Beyyo.
“So, how are you going to knock her out?” Beyyo asked.
“I just figured I’ll wait until she’s asleep” said Vlad. “Then I’ll sneak into her place.”
Beyyo gave him a look. “You do realize how creepy that is?” he says.
“I know, but it’s the least conspicuous method” said Vlad. “Imagine a mysterious cloaked man assaulting a girl in brought daylight to put a mystic curse on her. I’d be France’s Most Wanted in a heartbeat.”
Beyyo hesitated. “Fair point. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“And you did warn me” said Vlad in the present. “Too late now.” He jumped down and was now standing over Marinette. “Man, if anyone saw that that didn’t know what was going on,” he said, drawing his sword, “I’d be painted in a VERY bad light. Now let’s see. What kind of situation would best suit her? Oh, I know.” He made a circle motion with his sword and a cloud appeared.
Just then, Tikki woke up and saw what was happening, and she panicked. “MARINETTE! WAKE UP!” she yelled.
“Huh?” Marinette said, still half asleep.
The figure called out his power “Wolf Mist” and he thrust his sword forward so that the mist could hit Marinette. Once it got to her, Marinette went back to sleep, although her head was surrounded by mist.
Tikki nodded to herself and started to leave, but the figure caught Tikki in his hand. “You’re needed for later” the figure said. He took Tikki, and hopped into the mysterious wolf mist.
Marinette woke up in class. She didn’t know when she had fallen asleep in class, but she was used to it at this point. Suddenly, Hawk Moth appeared on the screen. “Hello Paris” he said in his chilling voice. “Normally I wouldn’t do this, but I am too frustrated at this point. Ladybug and Cat Noir have stood in my way for too long. I will finally admit my goals to all of you. I am after world peace. You might find that odd, considering my methods, but I assure you it’s true. I have been informed that fusing the miraculous of Ladybug and Cat Noir will grant the user one wish. That is why I want their miraculous. I didn’t even want credit for giving peace to the world. Peace is enough of a reward as is. However, because I’ve been denied so many times, I have no choice but to go public.”
Marinette could believe what she was seeing. Neither could the rest of the class. However , while it was true that a wish could be granted by the miraculous, Marinette also knew that the wish came at a price. “Do you want world peace? Then go after Ladybug and Cat Noir! Their real identities are Marinette Duapin-Cheng, and” Marinette could only hear a guttural noise for Cat Noir’s real identity. “Hawk Moth out.” The screen turned black and everyone turned to Marinette.
“What? You don’t believe him, do you?” Marinette said.
“Well, it would explain a lot” said Alya.
“It would explain everything!” said Nino.
“Guys, come on, there’s no way I’m Ladybug. Me little ol’ clumsy Marinette” she said, trying to charm her way out of the situation. When she realized that wouldn’t work, she bolted out the door. She took out Tikki. “Tikki! We have an emergency!”
“I know” said Tikki. “I’m sorry Marinette, but I’m leaving.”
“What?! Why?!” Marinette called out.
“The magic only works if I’m there” said Tikki. “Bye Marinette.” TIkki left.
“Tikki” said Marinette.
Meanwhile, the real Tikki was being held in a box. She was trying to bust out of it with all of her might. “Why are you doing this?!” she called to the mysterious figure who imprisoned her. Tikki and the figure were in a white room, with only the box Tikki is being held in and a screen projecting Marinette’s dream in it.
The figure answered her. “You should know better than anyone what the purpose of the wolf miraculous is.” Tikki continued to pound against her confines. “That’s not going to do you any good.” Tikki gave him a look. “Don’t worry, I’ll let you out when the time is right. In the meantime, just sit back and watch.”
“Who are you, anyway?” Tikki asked.
The figure looked at the struggling kwami. “You can call me Judgement Wolf” he said.
Back in Marinette’s dream, Marinette was struggling with the fact that Tikki had left her, when suddenly the door opened behind her. “Grab her!” Alya called.
“Alya?” Marinette said. Marinette thought it was now or never. She rushed to the stairs and ran down as fast as she could. However, everyone was coming after her. The teachers. Her friends. Even Adrien. She sprinted through the courtyard, but everyone was gaining on her.
Suddenly, a car pulled up. The door opened, and in the driver’s seat was a figure bathed in white. “Get in, M’Lady” he said.
“Cat Noir?” said Marinette, confused. She didn’t have time to process it, however, as everyone was gaining on her. She jumped in, and closed the door. The figure then floored it. Marinette put her seatbelt on. “So, did your kwami leave you too?” Marinette asked.
“Yeah, but don’t worry,” said Cat Noir. “We can make it through anything.”
“I wish I could believe that” said Marinette. “But right now, I bet the whole world is against us.”
“Well, M’Lady, if it is us against the world, I'll take those odds” said Cat Noir. “Because when we’re together, there’s nothing we can’t do.”
Marinette couldn’t help but smile. Usually, she would deride Cat Noir’s flirting, but at a moment like this she found comfort in the fact that something didn’t change. The car suddenly stopped. “Why’d you stop, Cat Noir?” Marinette asked.
“I didn’t” said Cat Noir. The doors opened, the seatbelts came off, and the car shook them out.
Outside, the two of them saw Robustus. “Great job Robustus” said Gamer coming over to meet them. Soon they were joined by an endless parade of Akumatized villains. Among them was Gorizilla, who picked up Marinette and Cat Noir and took them to Hawk Moth’s lair.
Soon, Marinette and Cat Noir were face to face with Hawk Moth, who had become Scarlet Moth once again. “Cat Noir, Ladybug, I assume you know why you’re here?”
“Yes” said Marinette.
“Good, then I expect this’ll go over easy” said Scarlet Moth.
“Not on your life” said Cat Noir.
“Even though what you want is good, we can’t let you have it” said Marinette. “When someone makes a wish, a price must be paid.”
“There is no price to pay for world peace” said Scarlet Moth.
“Exactly. We don’t know what kind of consequences it’ll bring about if you wished for peace” said Cat Noir.
“Fools. Do you think you still have a choice?” said Scarlet Moth. “Just hand over your miraculouses. This is the last time I’ll ask.”
Marinette thought to herself about what to do. It felt like she didn’t have much of a choice. But then she got an idea. “Fine” she said.
“Wha?” said Cat Noir.
“You win” said Marinette, taking off her earrings.
Cat Noir “Look M’Lady, just because you’ve given up hope, doesn’t mean-”
Marinette turned to Cat Noir and said “Come on Cat Noir, we’re totally outnumbered.” She then winked at Cat Noir.
“Fine” he said, taking off his ring and giving it to Marinette.
“Here you go Scarlet Moth” said Marinette, holding out the jewels.
Scarlet Moth approached her and Marinette dropped them in his hand. Immediately after, Marinette grabbed Hawk Moth’s miraculous, and put it on herself. Hawk Moth depowered turned into another figure bathed in white. All of the other Akumatized people detransformed too. “Nooroo! Dark Wings Rise!” Marinette called out. Nooroo fused to the jewel and Marinette transformed into her own version of Hawk Moth. This version had a black elegant evening dress, a black mask similar to that of her Ladybug mask, black heels, and black arm-length gloves.
“It doesn’t matter” said Hawk Moth. “I still have your jewels!” He tried putting them together, but it did nothing. “What?!”
“I’m sorry, but our kwamis left. Which means that they are no longer magic jewels. Rather, they are just jewels” said Hawk Moth Marinette. “Get up kitty. You were right. You and me against the world.”
Cat Noir chuckled. “We never lose.”
“Although, it isn’t going to be just the two of us for long,” said Hawk Moth Marinette. She spotted Adrien. A butterfly flew over to Hawk Moth Marinette. She infused it with energy. “Go, my little Akuma, and Heroize him!” She sent him after Adrien. The Akuma fused with Adrien’s ring and Hawk Moth Marinette introduced herself. “Gentleman. I am Hawk Moth. I’m giving you the power to protect the ones you care about. All I want in return are the jewels that the former Hawk Moth currently has.
“At your service, Hawk Moth” said Adrien. A purple-black aura consumed Adrien. Once it was done, Adrien was in a black tuxedo, complete with a white ascot, and a boutonniere.
Hawk Moth was surprised by this. Gentleman then charged at him and just beat him up. Once Hawk Moth was down for the count, Gentleman grabbed the miraculous and took Hawk Moth Marinette’s hand. “Are you ready?” he said.
Hawk Moth Marinette was blushing. Cat Noir was jealous. “Um, could we bring Cat Noir as well?” she asked.
“Of course. Anything for you” said Gentleman, kissing Hawk Moth Marinette’s hand. Hawk Moth Marinette got on Gentleman’s back.
Cat Noir looked on in disgust. “Fine. I’ll come along too” he said, also getting on Gentleman’s back.
“Now hold on tight” said Gentleman. He lept out of the window and landed safely back on the streets of Paris. Cat Noir and Hawk Moth Marinette got off of Gentleman’s back. “Miss Hawk Moth,” said Gentleman, “may I have a kiss?”
Hawk Moth Marinette was stunned. But then she said “Yes.” Gentleman placed his lips against Hawk Moth Marinette’s. It was a passionate kiss. They were bathed in the Paris moonlight, and dressed to the nines. You could not ask for a more perfect kiss.
Once the kiss broke off, Marinette was no longer in Paris. She was in an white empty area. She also looks, and she was back in her regular clothes. Needless to say, she was thoroughly confused.
“Bravo” said Judgement Wolf, giving a round of applause.
Marinette turned to see this mysterious figure. “Who are you?”
“The name’s Judgment Wolf” he said. “And I believe she belongs to you.” He threw Tikki at Marinette.
Marinette caught Tikki and said “Tikki! I was so afraid I lost you.”
“Oh Marinette, you should know that I would never abandon you” Tikki said.
Marinette inquired “But what about-”
“Marinette, that was a dream,” said Tikki.
“A dream?” said Marinette.
“Yes. And it was caused by that man!” Tikki said. “Now turn into Ladybug so we can beat this guy!”
“Is he Akumatized?” Marinette asked, worrying about what that means if that were true.
“No” said Tikki. Marinette sighed. “He’s just in possession of the wolf miraculous. A dangerous miraculous, which should never be used.”
“I was told you had a grudge against the wolf miraculous” Judgment Wolf said. “However, I’m not the same one you met last time. But you knew that already. I would like to avoid conflict as much as possible. So if you want your revenge, you gotta take it up with Beyyo.”
“Beyyo?” said Marinette.
“The kwami of the wolf miraculous” said Tikki. “An evil little thing.”
“Easy now” said Judgement Wolf. “We don’t want to say things we can’t take back.”
Tikki growled at Judgement Wolf. “I don’t get it,” said Marinette. “What are you doing this for?”
“Simple” said Judgement Wolf. “The wolf miraculous is the miraculous of doubt. It has a lot of interesting quirks to it, but all you need to know right now is that Beyyo and sniff out other kwamis, which is how I found you, and Beyyo believes that the holder of the wolf miraculous should test the users of other miraculous to see if they are worthy. An idea that I agree with. To do this, those who posses the wolf miraculous use a mist to create situations in the heads of people when they are unconscious. Based on the results, we decide if the user is worthy or not.”
“So, that whole thing was a test?” said Marinette.
“Yes” said Judgement Wolf. “And you passed.” This surprised both Marinette and Tikki. “You proved that even in a situation where everyone was against you, you would still do the right thing. And even if Hawk Moth’s goals were noble, he was doing them in the wrong way.”
“Of course” said Marinette. “If he wants to create peace, why doesn’t he use the powers he has to do that, instead of banking on a wish?”
Judgement Wolf laughed. “Oh Marinette, you continue to surprise me. I trust you completely to do your job as Ladybug.” Judgement wolf was about to leave, but he had one more thing to say. “Before I go, this is just me we’re talking about. Beyyo might have other ideas. He’ll meet you tomorrow to tell you what he thinks.” Judgement Wolf jumped out of the mysterious white area.
Marinette and Tikki were both confused, but before they could process anything, they fell asleep.
Back in Marinette’s room, Judgement Wolf reappeared. “Sleep tight Ladybug” he said, before climbed out the top window, and left the building. He made it back to his place just before he was about to transform back. “Beyyo! Fangs Dull!” he called out softly, so as not to disturb anyone. He transformed back into Vlad. “So, what did you think?” Vladd asked.

Marinette was quietly sitting at her desk working on a plush toy as vibrant green eyes watched her from her chaise. It had become almost routine for the past six months.
Their friendship had started after the Evillustrator, but it hadn’t really began developing until after her birthday incident with her Nonna. After she had returned home that night, after the party, she had a guest… Chat Noir.
The sight that greeted him had not been one he expected. Marinette was sitting with her hair down, fiddling with a red charm on her necklace as she looked at the computer on her desk. Her body was clad in a nightgown, black with thin straps, and a green bow just under her bust and a paw print on the hem.
She wore a Chat Noir nightgown.
The male felt his cheeks flush. He’s be lying if he never saw Marinette as attractive or that he didn’t like her in some way.
He just loved Ladybug more…. Right?
He swallowed hard and moved to clear his throat, “Hey Princess.” His tone was unusually serious.  Normally he was so playful with her as Chat because he could be playful as Chat.
Marinette could barely speak to Adrien…but he found out she found him super handsome.
“C-Chat?” Her body turned quickly, forcing her chair to twist with her. In the speed of her twist and her natural bad luck, the chair began tipping, causing her to squeak as she grasped her desk tightly.
The blond moved to catch her chair before it dragged her down with it. “Sorry!” He grimaced. “I’m so sorry…” His tone softened as he moved to set her right.
The ravenette looked up at him, she had a feeling he wasn’t talking about surprising her.
“Chat…?”
“She could have hurt you…” His tone was strained, she could hear the fabric shift and tear under his hands and claws. “I nearly got you hurt.”
“Oh, Chat…” She turned, carefully this time to look up at him. “Don’t do that to yourself.” Her fingers moved to gently rub the back of one of his hands. “I’m safe, I’m okay… because of you.”
Chat felt his cheeks slowly begin to heat up, “Whatever you say little lady.”
“I’m not a little lady!” She snapped, putting on a glare and half pout on her face.
Chat blinked before grinning. Sometimes she reminded him so much of Ladybug. She even snapped at him about silly nicknames like she did.
Wait….
Acid Green narrowed in suspicion. Could it be…? It took everything in him not to doodle a quick ladybug mask and hold it up to her face.
He knew that the magic between them changed their sight, literally and figuratively, of one another. Plagg had explained that.
He could describe her in perfect detail, as could everyone else, but until it was in their face, no one would see or hear the same tone between civilian and hero forms.
In other words, Chat had to notice habits. Attitudes and body language, because even if he wanted to see it, even if Marinette was Ladybug… the blue tone in her raven hair would always seem off, the blue of her eyes not just bright enough.
“Whatever you say, Princess.” The way she relaxed reminded him that she liked that name… just as Ladybug liked M’lady. “This chat should head off. You be good.” His fingers caressed her cheek lightly, marveling at the unintentional way Marinette leaned into his touch.
If he didn’t want to test this theory so damn bad he would have kissed her for such the adorable way she did that.
“Be safe out there, Chat… and thank you again.”
He smiled and nodded. “You too, Princess… Happy birthday.”
It took almost a week of psyching himself up to do this. If he was wrong, he’d have outed himself to Marinette, and possibly even Alya. Considering the two were best friends, there was always a chance that Alya knew of Chat visiting Marinette almost daily this past week.
Alya likely knew that Chat came over daily to flirt and joke, to wrap his arms around her as he watched over her shoulder to see her making Alya’s birthday present…. That he got snapped at when he played with her yarn to the point that he looked like a kitten ensnared in soft yellow yarn for her new baby cousin’s baby booties and hat. That… at least on two occasions he nearly kissed her…
His cheeks flushed dark at the memory of the last one. One time she had been playfully shoving him away until her own natural bad luck caused her to once again trip and stumble. Her words, “Sorry, I’m madly clumsy.” Then those big, blue eyes looking up at him shyly, cheeks a rosy red.
Yes, it reminded him of Ladybug, but no, that was not the reason he wanted to kiss her. He wanted to kiss her because it was Marinette looking at him, the real him, and blushing. Her cheeks a deep shade of red and her gaze half lidded, like she wanted him to kiss her.
He wished he had…
The second incident had been him. She had been snuggled into his side on her bed. The two watching some Netflix. She was introducing him into some shows he had never seen before. She had been fighting sleep… Over the course of a few days, Ladybug or not, she had become so much to him. She had gown to be his best friend in ways Nino, Chloé, or Ladybug could ever be. He had lowered his head to kiss her when her parents called to her, startling him.
Adrien hoped… he hoped that if he revealed himself to be Chat Noir, she’d tell him she was Ladybug. He knew it was a lot to hope… to hope that the two women he loved were the same person.
Adrien sat in silence at his desk, toying with his phone, looking at a small handful of images of their small group of friends. Of him, Marinette, Nino, and Alya. His eyes taking in the glossy screen that made up Marinette’s figure. She was so pretty and sweet… How had he never noticed her before until he nearly lost her?
He heard Marinette coming in. Something else he had noticed. The morning after he visited, she was up earlier, in a much better mood. Still sleepy, often milking a cup of coffee her parents gave her, but still early with a small, sleepy smile.
He went to open his mouth, but Kagami beat him to it. The new student smiled brightly, “Marientte!” She moved to greet the girl, earning the small, sleepy smile Adrien had seen so many times as Chat.
There were, as far as he knew, no bitter feelings about Kagami taking Marinette’s place in fencing. Sadly, there had only been one spot on the team, and once Kagami had joined the school, Marinette, as the least experienced, had been pushed out for her to join.
Kagami hadn’t been happy when she realized what she did.  Nor had any of the other members outside a few people who weren’t happy there were girl’s in fencing to begin with.
Kagami had, very openly, apologized to Marinette, begging for her forgiveness.
That was the day Adrien realized someone else was after her affection, but this was before Adrien realized he wanted to fight for her, to stop fighting for Ladybug, the masked woman, and go after someone real.
At first, he was okay with it, despite the bitter feeling in his chest.
Jealousy. He had experienced it only once before. With Theo.
Currently, watching Kagami fawning over the sleeping girl, offering her smiles and light touches.
Adrien saw it in her gaze, Kagami liked Marinette, and his idiotic self said she was just a friend.
Seeing Kagami like that with her made him want to hiss. His eyes narrowed slightly. That was his princess. Not hers. He knew he was possessive. Maybe it was an Agreste thing, his father was extremely possessive as well, but Adrien pondered if it was a rich person thing.
It mildly annoyed him, but he could get around it.
Well, a week later, that wasn’t the case. The blond was grumbling as he sat in his seat.
He was jealous. Everyone knew it. Every single time he glanced back towards Marinette, Alya gave him this fox like grin. Nino gave him knowing smirks even he brought up the aspiring designers.
And his fencing team.
Oh, his fencing team.
Kagami was the worse—she wasn’t mean. She taunted him with her obliviousness.
All the boys in fencing teased him in the locker room. They knew he liked her—they saw what happened between the two on her first day, before Kagami took her spot.
Adrien was up against Kagami, helmets on as they looked to one another.
Someone in the crowd of students whistled low as how tense they both seemed to be.
“How about we make this round interesting, Adrien?” Kagami’s voice was soft. She glanced towards the entrance where now half of the boys in class were at.
Marinette brought cookies it seemed.
Adrien glanced that way, his loving smile hidden by his mask as he glanced towards the girl surrounded by a pack of their classmates.
“What did you have planned?” He asked, his tone light.
“The one who wins gets to ask out, Marinette. At least, unless she says no to the winner.”
Adrien’s head whipped back to the red clad female with narrowed eyes.
That little….
She knew!
He said nothing, just readied himself. “Sorry, Kagami. You’re not going to win this… nor will it be a tie.”
He wouldn’t risk that chance. Not having time because they were good friends was one thing, but missing an opportunity to ask Marinette out—to lose out the chance of Marinette being with him because he backed down.
“She’s not an object.”
“I know she’s not, Agreste.” Kagami’s tone was sharp. “We’re not dueling to win her. We’re dueling to win the opportunity to ask her out first. I know you have been trying to have an opening with her.”
If Plagg were here, the feline Kwami would be both amused and annoyed at Kagami’s interference with Adrien’s love life.
While everyone was distracted, the two began under the watchful eye of their coach. It wasn’t until the two got more chaotic in their battle, like their first fight.
“Oh, not again.” Marinette mumbled as she noticed the two going at it. “Really, you guy?!” Marinette snapped at the two.
“Calm down, Little Lady. We’ll be quick about this!” Adrien’s voice came off so cocky and familiar and then it clicked.
Little Lady….
“Whoa there, Little Lady!” Chat laughed as he caught her when she stumbled in her room.
“What are you working on, Princess?” He paused. “Do you like being called Princess or Little Lady more?”
He was the only one who called her Little Lady.
Marientte’s face went red with a mixture of anger and embarrassment. She told her crush on Adrien to Chat. She gave up her crush on Adrien for Chat.
They were dead meat.
Yet, a small smile played on her lips. She had always been a bit oblivious to Chat and Adrien… it would make sense that she fell for him twice… as both sides.
When the two for the third time struck one another at the same time, resulting in another tied point, they felt the overwhelming cold fury that was in the air.
Adrien took the first glance before swallowing hard. He really shouldn’t have told her to calm down.
Marinette stood with a scowl, her lips puckered and her arms crossed. One foot was tapping on the floor, and even the other males in the class backed up a few steps.
“Adrien. Kagami.” Her voice was low.
Suddenly both were very aware of how they just lost this fight to Marinette, and she didn’t even need to pick up a sabre.
Adrien missed the way Kagami relaxed, “Don’t stress, Mari.” The Japanese girl smiled at her friend. “I won’t hurt your boyfriend. Just making him realize a few things with some friendly competition.”
Over the course of the week that Adrien hadn’t had the chance with Marientte, Kagami had.
She asked the pigtailed ravenette. Earning a soft, apologetic smile and a stuttered reasoning to why she was rejected.
Marinette was in love with a funny, playful handsome boy.
Kagami had taken an educated guess. She knew there was a risk of being wrong, but she remembered how Marinette looked at Adrien when they first met.
Maybe a little heart broken, but she wanted Marinette happy. She’d do her damnedest to make sure Marinette got the happiness she deserved.
Marinette’s cheeks went dark if possible, “K-Kagami!”
Adrien was confused, but looked to Kagami with confusion. She had… His eyes slit to Marinette. She set them up. A smile wouldn’t leave his face as he moved to take off his helmet.
“D-don’t you smile at me, Agreste! I’m still mad at you!” She snapped as he began walking towards her. When he got close enough, he saw she was trembling. “Y-you stupid cat…” She muttered quietly, looking away from him, towards her feet.
“Whatever you say, Bugaboo.” At his words her head jerked up and he took the opportunity to kiss her.
She could be angry. This was best way for everything to turn out. He had his Princess… Had his Lady. She knew he and Chat were one in the same, just as he knew she and Ladybug were.
Nothing else mattered in that moment.
