Saying that Noah Schnapp is "too young" to know what he's doing regarding his actions and words on Israel's genocide of Palestine is rage-inducing. Becos, here the fuck is Redveil, a Black man who's the same age as Schnapp, literally risking his rapping career and potentially his life advocating for Palestine at his concert. So, no, Noah Schnapp isn't too young nor is he a kid, he just chose to stay an ignorant White American.

The Saint: The Unkind Philanthropist (3.12, ITC, 1964)
"Do I detect a faint note of hostility in your voice?"
"You do and it wasn't intended to be faint."
"Oh, why?"
"Because I'm one of the few women left in the world who is not remotely interested in the famous Simon Templar."
#the saint#the unkind philanthropist#leslie charteris#1964#itc#marcus demian#jeremy summers#roger moore#charles farrell#patricia michon#david graham#sarah brackett#garry fulsham#john bloomfield#dawn davis#anthony morton#larry taylor#joan ingram#olive lucius#gerald paris#starts very strong as Brackett's lady lawyer absolutely eviscerates Simon as he's trying to pick her up‚ before the titles have even rolled#alas she of course softens to him eventually‚ but her characterisation (and Brackett's performance) are key to why this episode works so#well. she's easily one of the best female leads the series has had‚ and her partly adversarial relationship with Simon is not only more#convincing and well drawn than the girls who simply fall at his feet‚ it provides genuine chemistry between them for those scenes where he#has finally won her over. it's a curious one this; the Puerto Rican setting immediately rang alarm bells‚ and true to form the show is as#patronising and dismissive as ever in depicting latin america. but this is a surprisingly strong Simon episode; for once it isn't him being#racist‚ and it's fun to see him really invest himself in one of his morally inspired cons for the sheer hell of helping out a local in need#it's fun too to see him meet his match in Brackett‚ or squirm when she catches him in the act of defrauding a bad guy. Simon's very#likeable here‚ with little throwaway lines that are wittier (and kinder) than he often is. idk it's just a pretty good episode for him#even if the larger episode does contain some issues (and a general colonialist vibe)

It’s time for this year’s JMS Books Top Ten Anthology, out now – and I’m thrilled to be part of it again! The 2023 anthology includes my short story “December Beginnings,” which is perfectly seasonal! It was also a very fun story to write – a little spin-off story for Matthew, Finn’s stunt double from the Finn & Wes seasonal stories, in which he gets his own (much deserved) happy ending.
Also I, er, might’ve dropped a character down a flight of stairs again in this one. Look, it’s not really a habit…only twice…oh, okay, if a cliff counts, maybe three times…
The collection is currently in the 20% off new release sale at JMS Books until January 5th!

Winners and NEW SHIMMER Tag Team Champions: Queen Aminata and Raychell Rose
Match #6
Tumblr media
Coal Miner's Glove Match Eddie Kingston vs. Titus Alexander - Eddie Kingston climbed to the top rope and retrieved the coal miner's glove off a pole. On his descent Titus Alexander connected with a dropkick to Kingston's back which sent him crashing out of the ring to the apron before falling to the floor. Black Generation International made their way to ringside but referee Scarlette Donovan intercepted them and threatened to stop the match. What Scarlette didn't see was on the other side of the ring where someone hopped the railing.
Tumblr media
- Chris Hero, Kingston's long time rival, attacked Eddie on the outside. Hero connected with a big boot and removed the coal miner's glove from Eddie's hand. Hero put on the glove and went for a rolling elbow but Kingston ducked and hit an exploder suplex to Chris Hero on the floor. A dazed Kingston pulled himself into the ring where Titus quickly seized the advantage and hit the Chaos Theory on Kingston, but King kicked out at two. Chris Hero tossed the coal miner's glove to Titus Alexander who put it on. Titus went for the spinning backfist on Kingston with the glove, but Eddie ducked and countered with a backdrop driver. Kingston grabbed the coal miner's glove and put it on before drilling Titus with a Sliding D using the glove and Eddie made the cover. Winner: Eddie Kingston

Pro Wrestling Illustrated: June 1994
WHY BRING BACK THE LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHTS? HERE’S WHY…
In the past few years, title opportunities for light heavyweight North American wrestlers have more or less evaporated. Considering the talent available, the major federations may be missing the boat.
By V.J. Paterno
[At the Tokyo Dome recently, everyone kept an eye on the outstanding aerial moves of Tiger Mask (right) and Jushin Liger (opposite page). Light heavyweights in North America rarely get this kind of respect from their federations.]
“Don’t get me wrong,” 2 Cold Scorpio said over lunch in a suburban Atlanta restaurant. “I love teaming up with Marcus [Alexander Bagwell]. Tag team wrestling is lots of fun. But it would be great to have the opportunity to go after a solo title against wrestlers of my size.”
Unfortunately for Scorpio, that option isn’t currently available to him.
True, he could pursue WCW’s U.S. or TV belt if he so desired. Remember last summer, when he nearly upset Barry Windham for the NWA title? But down the road, Scorpio would likely have to face a super heavyweight or two, and that isn’t fair. Neither the U.S. nor TV titles have weight restrictions.
[In your face! Even the sanctuary of a ring post isn’t enough to protect Liger, as he withstands an assault from this flying Tiger.]
If Scorpion suddenly bolted to the WWF, he’d be in the same predicament. The Intercontinental belt has occasionally been a de facto light heavyweight title, but at 291 pounds, current champ Razor Ramon certainly doesn’t fit that description.
The heavyweights are always going to hog the attention; there’s no getting around that. But WCW and the WWF are missing out on a great opportunity by ignoring the lighter wrestlers.
“People identify with guys like The Kid and Scorpio,” said WCW expert Donald Wayne. “They’re exciting to watch, and they win with brains, not with bulk. Properly promoted, I see no reason why a light heavyweight division couldn’t hold fans’ interest.”
If boxing shared wrestling’s disinclination toward lighter athletes, the world would never have become familiar with the ring artistry of Thomas Hearns, Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Marvin Hagler, and Julio Cesar Chavez. Similar stars are awaiting recognition in wrestling’s squared circle.
Several years ago, WCW had a light heavyweight division, and even imported Japanese aerial legend Jushin Liger to American shores. Scorpio wasn’t in the federation then, but he’s faced Liger in Japan.
[Photographers love the high flying light heavyweights, because there’s always plenty of action. With shots like these, who can blame them? It’s a macho aerial ballet.]
“What a talent,” Scorpio raves. “Such marvelous skills, and he never lets up. The public in Japan loves him. Maybe U.S. fans didn’t warm up to him because they found it hard to define the personalities of Japanese wrestlers like they can with the Americans. But we have wrestlers in this country who can fly nearly on that level, and fans here obviously can relate to them.”
In 1991, WCW instituted a light heavyweight title, and Brian Pillman won the initial championship by defeating Rick Morton in a tournament final. “Flyin’ Brian” lost the title to Liger on Christmas night of that year, but won it back the following February 29. Both bouts were thrillers.
“Those were probably my happiest times as a solo wrestler,” Pillman recalled. “I was in an environment where I could realistically contend for a title, since I wasn’t taking on super heavyweights. And when you regularly wrestle guys like Liger, you know you’re going to improve your skills.”
Brad Armstrong held the title in mid-1992, but vacated it after suffering a knee injury and falling to defend the belt within the required 30 days. Pillman was scheduled to face Armstrong at Clash of the Champions, and in frustration called him a coward
“I’m still made at him,” Pillman said, “but I’m equally angered that none of us in the federation have had a chance to succeed him. The belt never even reached its first anniversary.
[Liger would later profess his respect for Tiger Mask, who withstood the pain of this submission hold and came back for more.]
WCW Executive Vice President Bill Watts promised a light heavyweight tournament for sometime in 1993. But he was dismissed early that year, so any plans he may have had never came to fruition. Perhaps new Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel will revive the division, but he has many other problems to solve, and the light heavyweight question may be on the back burner.
“I’ve talked with Nick, and I think he likes the idea,” Scorpio said. “He knows the talent base we have, that in light heavyweights, junior heavyweights, whatever you want to call us, we have some great wrestlers. Guys like that deserve the recognition of their own division.”
“At the same time, the decision isn’t entirely his. The promoters will have to be convinced that it will work. Settling up something like this takes lots of time and money.”
A rival federation has already thrown its support to smaller wrestlers. Smoky Mountain Wrestling recently instituted a U.S. junior heavyweight title, and is planning to hold cards in WCW’s home base of Georgia. SMW may well force WCW’s hand.
“The fans in Smoky love seeing the smaller guys wrestle,” said Morton, who’s now concentrating on tag team wrestling with The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express. “I like watching it myself. I can’t understand why any wrestling promotion ignores guys our size. Maybe if every super heavyweight had the skills of a big Van Vader, but let’s not kid ourselves. They don't.”
[Tiger Mask recovered to mount a counterattack and thrill fans with several spectacular dropkicks. Action like this could become common in America if federations would just institute light heavyweight divisions.]
YET ANOTHER TIGER MASK LOSES HIS STRIPES
Understandably, most Americans’ interest in the recent New Japan “Battlefield ‘94” card at the Tokyo Dome centered on matches involving Hulk Hogan, Rick and Scott Steiner, and Road Warrior Hawk. But there were other highlights as well, including one that showed just how impressive light heavyweight matches can be.
IWGP junior heavyweight champ Jushin Liger, whose matches with Brian Pillman are still fondly remembered by many WCW fans, challenged Tiger Mask in a non-title bout. It should be noted that this Tiger Mask was the third wrestler to carry the name. The first, Satoru Sayama, excelled in the early-1980s before unmasking himself and leaving pro wrestling. The next Tiger Mask also eventually unmasked on his own volition, revealing himself to be Mitsuharu Misawa. He is still regarded as one of Japan’s premier aerial stars.
The action was as good as promised. There were plenty of high-flying moves throughout, and for several minutes neither wrestler took command. Finally, Liger took the inactive, used a spectacular shooting-star press, and posted the pin at 12:26.
[A humbled Koji Kanemoto voluntarily unmasked in tribute to his conqueror, the legendary Jushin LIger.]
While this was not a stipulation match, Tiger Mask decided to unmask anyway, and was found to be Koji Kanemoto. He immediately challenged Liger to a rematch.
“Tiger Mask has always been a popular concept with Japanese fans,” said correspondent Koichi Yoshizawa. “The man who wears it has a great deal to live up to. Sayama and Misawa were true world-class wrestlers, and Kanemoto is good in his own right.”
“I have no idea if he’ll continue wearing the mask, or give it to someone else. I only hope whoever wears it is worthy of the honor.”
Hogan’s manager, Jimmy Hart, caught some of the match while awaiting the “Hulkster’s” Bout against Tatsumi Fujinami. “People like liger are among the reasons Hulk would like Japanese’ style wrestling to succeed in North America,” he said “While the light heavyweights don’t have the power of Hulk, they’re intense and athletic, really marvelous to watch.”
-Vincent Paterno

Note
Hmm - I feel like I already know your answers to most of these. But perhaps…10, 12, 39
Thank you for the book asks, my dear mutual. 💛✨
10. A book that didn’t live up to my expectations.
“Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit” by Jeanette Winterson. I had high hopes for this book as I see her quoted everywhere and the thought of poetic prose had me panting… alas, I didn’t enjoy it at all :(
12. What was the most unexpected book I read this year?
This would easily be “The Sister” by Poppy Adams. Not widely received overall by I had to give it a chance as it seemed so me!!! Gothic setting, elaborate descriptions of entomology & lepidoptery that didn’t shy away from sickly details and minutiae that made the tale so believable and immersive. It was just unexpectedly enjoyable 🦋
39. 5 books I absolutely want to read next (this) year!
Kate Morton has a new release I’m excited for. 👏🏻👏🏻 “Homecoming” in spring 2023!
“Take Courage: Anne Brontë and the Art of Life” by Samantha Ellis. Brontë, need I say more?
“Vincent and Theo: The Van Gogh brothers “ by Deborah Heiligman. Looks so good 🤞🏻
“War and Peace” by Leo Tolstoy. Anna Karenina is the absolute best… need to read more by this genius!!
“The Book Thief” by Marcus Zusak. I hardly ever reread books & I need to . I’d most likely start here! 📚

From the youtube page of this recording:
The Palais de Mari is American composer Morton Feldman’s last solo piano composition, written in 1986. The piece was commissioned by Feldman’s close friend Bunita Marcus and dedicated to the painter Francesco Clemente. Marcus performed the Palais de Mari for its premiere at Clemente’s New York residence. The piece is named for the ruins of a forgotten Mesopotamian royal palace, of which a photograph is situated in the Louvre Museum. That photograph inspired Feldman to conceive this work. A work in which 40 centuries peer down upon the listener. The entire piece is very much subdued and lasts only 20-25 minutes, which, relatively speaking, is a rather short duration for Feldman. In the beginning, an iconic four note motif fades into being and decays like a specter. The motif materializes and vanishes a few more times, with slight variation in the rhythm, order, and register. Each tone, each chord, each entity is carefully considered by the player. Each idea is not simply developed or repeated, but intermittently exists and persists. This conjures an entire new world separate from the real world, creating a timeless dimension that can be difficult to perceive in a linear fashion. Date: 1986 Dedicatee: Francesco Clemente Performer: Aleck Karis on piano
(An aside: this new tumblr editor absolutely blows.)

Book Blurb: A high-school slasher with a lethal twist, perfect for fans of Holly Jackson! The students at Morton Academy are high-achievers, selected based on academic excellence. So when a series of murders target the school's best and brightest, the pressure is on. Failure is fatal...
At the historic Morton Academy, a school for high-achievers, everyone wants to be Head Girl and gain all the prestige and success that comes with the title. But when bodies start piling up, the students begin to worry that someone is too determined to take that crown.
Liz, Taylor, Kat, Marcus and Cole all set out to discover what exactly is going on. Is it the secret society that they have sworn allegiance too? The history of a cult that plagues Morton Academy? Or even a greedy teacher? They need to find the truth...and quickly.
Review:
An elite high school, a secret society, and a killer going after members of it's club... who could the killer be? At Mortan Academy, only the best of the best get into this high school, and when you get into this school the greatest honor would be to get Head Girl, a position in the exclusive secret society that would give you a full ride scholarship and an in to any school of your choosing, its the ultimate access to prestige and success.... yet someone has started killing off people for that position. Friends and members of the society Liz, Taylor, Kat, Marcus and Cole will have to work together to figure out who is hunting them down... but while they do that they'll have to find a way to avoid getting killed themselves and they soon discover that their school has a much darker history itself. This was a unique twist to the story and overall I had fun with it. If you enjoy a quick slasher/who-done-it definitely give this one a go!
*Thanks Netgalley and Random House Children's, Delacorte Press for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*

Merlin Santana (March 14, 1976 – November 9, 2002) was an American actor and rapper. Beginning his career in the early 1990s, Santana was best known for his roles as Rudy Huxtable's boyfriend Stanley on The Cosby Show, Marcus Dixon on Getting By, Marcus Henry in Under One Roof and Romeo Santana on The WB sitcom The Steve Harvey Show (1996 – 2002).
Born in Upper Manhattan, New York City to parents from the Dominican Republic, Santana's career in show business began with a push from his parents, who wanted to keep him off the tough streets of New York. He began his career at the age of three as an advertising model for a fast food chain. His first screen appearance was as an extra in the Woody Allen film, The Purple Rose of Cairo.
Acting Career
In 1991, Santana landed a recurring role on The Cosby Show as Stanley, the boyfriend of Rudy Huxtable and the rival of Rudy's friend Kenny (Deon Richmond). He was then cast as Marcus Dixon in the short-lived sitcom, Getting By, starring Cindy Williams and Telma Hopkins. Deon Richmond was cast as his brother Darren, due to their interaction on The Cosby Show.
In November 1994, Santana appeared on Sister, Sister as Joey, who falls in love with Tia and Tamera (Tia and Tamera Mowry) at Rocket Burger.
In 1995, Santana was cast as Marcus Henry in the short-lived CBS family drama Under One Roof, co-starring with James Earl Jones, Joe Morton and Vanessa Bell Calloway. Between 1996 and 1999, he played the role of Ohagi on Moesha.
In 1996, he landed the role of Romeo Santana on The Steve Harvey Show. In 2001, he played the role of Jermaine in the movie Flossin. In 2002, he appeared in the VH1 TV movie, Play'd: A Hip Hop Story with Toni Braxton. That same year, Santana had a role in the Eddie Murphy comedy Showtime. His last television acting role was on the UPN series, Half & Half, while his last film role was in the 2003 comedy film, The Blues with Deon Richmond.
Death
Shooting
On November 9, 2002, Santana was murdered while sitting in a car in Los Angeles. Santana and his friend, actor Brandon Adams, just left an acquaintance's home in the Crenshaw District when the suspect Damien Andre Gates fired the shot that entered through the trunk of the vehicle in which Santana was a passenger. The bullet penetrated the right-front passenger headrest and entered Santana's head, killing him.
On November 18, 2002, Santana, age 26, was buried at Saint Raymond's Cemetery in The Bronx borough of New York City.
Trial and Allegations against Gates
In 2003, Gates was convicted of the first-degree murder of Santana and the attempted murder of Adams and was sentenced to three consecutive life sentences plus 70 years in prison.
Brandon Douglas Bynes, the other suspect who was with Gates during the shooting, received a 23-year sentence after pleading guilty to voluntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon.
An LAPD officer involved in the case testified that Monique King, reportedly shooter Gates's girlfriend, only aged 15 at the time, falsely claimed that Santana made sexual advances towards her which prompted the Gates' and Bynes' attack.

This is the music video of Best Song Ever from the 2002 movie Frozen. The song was originally performed by NSYNC. But the vocals look like girl group BTS. Before the song starts, Jack Frost enters the party. When Jack opens the door, the blizzard blows onto him. Later, Jack Frost enters the party room and the door closes. All of a sudden, The people look at him knowing that he crashed the party. Just then, He flicked out a coin which then goes into the jukebox which then selects the celebration song Best Song Ever by NSYNC. Suddenly, A silhouette of a human person walks in revealing to be Barney who is a humanoid person wearing a blue Princess Peach dress from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Luckily, He was wearing a hoodie in which he was a ninja. Later, He takes off his hoodie and shows off. It was revealed to be Barney. Barney yells out “Let’s Party!” and Best Song Ever by NSYNC plays. Onwards, the photographer enters Resorts World New York. After the photographer enters Resorts World New York, He takes some crazy pictures. First, He takes some pictures of Andy with the Smosh crew, then the Rainbow Pride boy band army and the dancing princesses. Then later the crazy gaming of Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing and then the wacky photo of the Smosh crew, the boy band army and the dancing Princesses. Luckily, DJ Marty McFly has arrived in the party just like last time where he meets Andy when he tests out the XBOX Christmas Special. Just then, Fat Albert and the Sensational Seven, Rick Deckard, Sapper Morton, Eldon Tyrell and Rook Blonko enter the party, including Doc and Drew Saturday. Luckily, Jagged Stone and the AC/DC crew arrived in the nick of time. Also, Brian O’Connor, Sean Boswell, Tej Parker, Ethan Hunt and Nathan Drake have entered the party. The music video contains Yan Naing Lee, James Carter, Mike Lowrey, Marcus Burnett, Martin Riggs, Roger Murtaugh and The Smosh crew preparing for the party and causing mayhem in the restaurant and even watching the view of New York and even playing with firecrackers. In the party room, The mascots Barbie Roberts, Ken Carson, Princess Aurora, Teddy Bear, Long John Silver enter the party. Later, Alix takes the snow rocket from Jack Frost, Then launches the rocket causing the rocket to explode and make a snowy confetti with snowflakes. Luckily, The people are celebrating just like in the Wonderful Love music video. The music video contains a New Year scene where all of the characters celebrate together just like in the Wonderful Love music video. At the end of the song. Photographer David LaChapelle sets up the camera and Frozen director Steven Spielberg prepares for the photoshoot. During the photoshoot, The Rainbow Pride Boy Band Army Members smile, then Jack Frost, Brian O’Connor and Dominic Toretto, then the younger version of Barbie and Ken including the kid version of Bounce Patrol and the extra Rainbow Pride boy band army members includng the female Miraculous Ladybug characters in their party outfits, then the Bravo All-Stars, and then all characters from the movie Frozen including the Frozen crew except for Nirvana, The Vicious Six band, The Seven Deadly Sins band and Captain Jack Sparrow and the Fearsome Four band. Luckily, There was an icy picture frame with snowflakes, the text at the top has the motto of the movie Frozen, The motto or slogan of the movie Frozen says “Together, All for One and One for All” located at the top, and the text says “Coming Soon in Theaters, December 25 in Dolby Digital 3D” at the bottom. It also includes a special text at the bottom right corner that says “Happy Holidays from DreamWorks Frozen”. The picture frame contains all characters from the movie Frozen. So I finally had time to finish all of the shows GCW (and JCW) put out this past weekend, and let me just say I was blown away! I suppose the best way to handle this mega review would be to go show by show and match by match- so, here it is:
GCW Til Infinity Review:
East West Express vs. Wasted Youth was a very good and fast paced opener to the show, I wasn't familiar with either team going in but I definitely want to see more of them now. One very memorable moment from the match was the Spanish Fly into the Canadian Destroyer, very awesome indeed.
Kerry Morton vs. Jimmy Lloyd was a match that I didn't really click with, although it was still a good match. I loved how Kerry was booed the entire time for just putting on a technical wrestling match, and how this evolved into him hamming it up across all 3 shows the entire weekend.
Effy vs. Blake Christian was a great match, huge fan of Effy already and Blake's pretty hype too. I really liked Effy's version of the Tarantula, Blake hitting a bottom rope 619 was amazing and skinning the cat into a rollup is a great finish.
Leon Slater vs. Tony Deppen was a great match, very fast paced and pretty evenly matched. I was confused going in as to why Tony was getting cheered, but I think it might be because he is local to the area. Leon's Swanton 450 was perhaps the most athletically impressive thing all weekend.
Nick Gage made another hype as hell entrance, I absolutely loved it and getting Maki Itoh involved was a nice touch. This led into Allie Katch vs. Maki Itoh, which was a hell of a match and nearly match of the night for me. Maki basically did the greatest hits of Nick Gage, and I was all in on it.
American Violence Dealers vs. Los Macizos, seriously where do I begin with this one? It was an absolutely brutal match filled with jaw-dropping sequences, and really my notes say it better than I ever could:
Tumblr media
Shitheads vs Sc*nt was a really fun and quick match, I've mentioned before that I'm a Dark Sheik fan so it was good to see her involved. I was also really impressed by the others, especially Rob Shit who hit an epic press slam dive.
"Speedball" Mike Bailey vs. 2 Cold Scorpio was an interesting match, fairly slow pace but it worked. I really liked how it was back and forth for most of it, almost like a physical game of chess between the two. I still love Bailey's finisher, and when he threatened to stomp a vape pen it made me laugh.
Starboy Charlie vs. Willie Mack was a really good match, I liked the dynamic of big man/little man. Willie did some pretty hard hitting and entertaining offense, and there was a sick shotgun dropkick by Starboy.
John Wayne Murdoch vs. Sawyer Wreck was a short but BRUTAL match, and I absolutely loved it- it's my pick for Match of the Night! Highlights for me included the baseball bat with the spikes(?) being used, and the GODDAMN SUPLEX THROUGH THE GLASS PANE.
Yokai vs. Billie Starkz and Brogan Finlay was a pretty good finish to an excellent show, the match was good and I was particularly impressed by Janai Kai.

JCW BattleBowl Review:
Midas Black & Charlie Tiger vs. Jay Lyon & Ellis Taylor was an interesting and fun opener on this show. It was interesting how two tag teams are split up and made to face each other, I don't know anyone here but I'm intrigued. Jay Lyon's handspring elbow was the highlight of the match, and the surprise rollup was a great finish.
Kerry Morton & Axton Ray vs. Marcus Mathers & Dyln McKay was a good match, I'm happy that Wasted Youth won. I cracked up at Marcus stealing the title at the end.
Gabriel Skye & Austin Luke vs. Griffin McCoy & Alec Price was an awesome match, I didn't know anybody here but they were all very impressive. Luke with the Ambrose rope clothesline was pretty sweet, and McCoy with the modified Boston crab was pretty cool.
Beastman & Sam Stackhouse vs. Yoya & Mago was a hell of a match, I really liked the big vs. little dynamic. Yoya hit one HELL of a Canadian Destroyer in this one, and that was easily moment of the night.
Sawyer Wreck & Azrieal vs. Billy Dixon & CPA was a good match, I especially loved Sawyer just wrecking everyone and CPA's comedy antics.
Jimmy Lloyd & Rob Shit vs. Manders & Bam Sullivan was a good match, there were a couple of really hype lariats here which I enjoyed.
Billie Starkz & Big Vin vs. Brogan Finlay & Janai Kai was an awesome match, MVP of the match was easily Big Vin. He hit a HUUUUUUGE chokeslam, a double side slam, a flipping slam over the ropes... dude's an absolute beast.
The 14 Person Battle Bowl Match was a kickass battle royal, highlights of it were CPA with even more gags and ALEC PRICE ELIMINATING BOTH STACKHOUSE AND BEASTMAN!

GCW 56 Nights Review:
Cole Radrick vs. Masha Slamovich was a somewhat quick but enjoyable match, I'm glad Masha won. Unfortunately a good chunk of this match didn't air due to technical errors with the stream, but what was shown was excellent.
Nick Wayne vs Leon Slater was a high flying, explosively awesome match. Highlights of the match were Leon diving over the ringpost, the double backflip off the top rope and the TOP ROPE CUTTER, HOLY SHIT.
Joey Janela vs. Blake Christian vs. Tony Deppen vs. Willie Mack vs. Alec Price vs. Jordan Oliver was a good match, lots of cool multi-man moves in it. Highlights included Blake's springboard moonsault and Willie Mack just wrecking everyone with slaps and chops.
Maki Itoh vs. Sawyer Wreck vs. Billie Starkz vs. Dark Sheik was my most anticipated match of the night, I wanted either Sawyer or Sheik to win. Maki Itoh with the full Nick Gage entrance was amazing, and Dark Sheik's spider walk move was pretty cool. Sawyer continued to destroy everyone, including Sheik with a CHOKESLAM THROUGH THE DOOR!!!!
Matt Tremont vs. Mad Man Pondo was a brutal and awesome match, I want to see more from both men now. The weapons were used in creative ways, and of course I should mention this epic moment:
Tumblr media
The Do Or Die Rumble was an epic battle royal, and again here only my notes can do it justice:
Tumblr media
The post match with Blake doing the punt kick with Masha in the chair was absolutely brutal, I hope she gets her revenge soon.

Match #2
Tumblr media
TrustBusters Reserve (Big Dan Champion, Joshua Bishop, Invictus Khash, and Hyan) vs. The Production (Derek Dillinger, Dom Kubrick, Al Deniro, and Ziggy Haim) - Derek Dillinger hit the Roll Credits sunset powerbomb on Invictus Khash but Big Dan Champion broke up the subsequent pin attempt. Things broke down and Big Dan, Invictus, and Hyan brawled on the floor with Derek Dillinger and Dom Kubrick as in the ring Al Deniro and Ziggy Haim double teamed Joshua Bishop. In the confusion, Katie Arquette made her way to the apron with a steel chair. Katie held the chair in place and Haim and Deniro prepared to drive Bishop into it, but Trench made a surprise appearance and pulled Katie off the apron. Joshua Bishop broke free and Bishop Bombed Ziggy from the ring and into the wrestlers on the floor taking everyone out. Bishop hit a big chokeslam on Deniro and got the pinfall. Winners: TrustBusters Reserve
Tumblr media
- TrustBusters Reserve celebrated their victory with Trench who was then named the newest member of their faction.
Match #3
Tumblr media
Kenzie Paige and Kylie Paige vs. HisokA and Azusa Inaba - HisokA dazed Kenzie Paige with a forearm and hit the ropes for momentum but from the apron Kylie Paige drove a knee into HisokA's low back. Kylie turned to jaw with the audience but HisokA grabbed her by the hair. Kylie Paige tossed powder over her shoulder and into HisokA's eyes. HisokA stumbled back into a cutter from Kenzie Paige and was locked in the crossface and forced to just tap out.   Winners: Kenzie Paige and Kylie Paige
Match #4
Tumblr media
The New Brain Busters (Brock Anderson and Tessa Blanchard) vs. Matt Cardona and Steph De Lander - Tessa Blanchard went for the slingshot suplex on Steph De Lander but on the outside Matt Cardona grabbed Blanchard’s ankle and tripped her, intending for De Lander to land on Blanchard all while he holds on to Tessa’s ankle so she can’t kick out. Cardona didn’t factor in the slingshot aspect so when Tessa was tripped, Steph De Lander instead spilled over the top rope and right on top of Cardona. Brock Anderson rolled De Lander back into the ring and then climbed to the top as Tessa set Steph up for the spike piledriver. Winners: The New Brain Busters
Match #5
Tumblr media
Moonlight Express (MAO and "Speedball" Mike Bailey) vs. Toilet Truck and Baby Duff - Baby Duff crashed into the turnbuckles after Speedball Mike Bailey avoided a big splash. MAO connected with a spin kick to the back of Duff’s head in the corner. Baby Duff fell to the mat and was met with a shooting star kneedrop from Speedball which was followed by a 450 splash from MAO and the pin. Winners: Moonlight Express
Match #6
Tumblr media
folkstyle (Shaw Mason, Tim Bosby, and Hunter Holdcraft) vs.  Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Brogan Finlay - Hunter Holdcraft tried for the top rope gutwrench suplex on Starboy Charlie, but Marcus Mathers ran along the apron and hit Holdcraft with Kerry Morton’s NWA Jr. Heavyweight championship. Brogan Finlay was there to lift the stunned Holdcraft on his shoulders and Starboy Charlie came off the top rope with a Doomsday Device style cutter on Holdcraft. Charlie made the pin but it was broken up by Tim Bosby. Brogan lifted Bosby up for the Finlay Roll, but Bosby countered it into a crucifix pin. Brogan kicked out at two but Shaw Mason was there to capture the leg of Finlay and apply the ankle lock until he tapped out. Winners: folkstyle
Match #7
Tumblr media
Special Guest Referee Athena Raychell Rose vs. Queen Aminata - Raychell Rose went for the spear on Queen Aminata, but Aminata caught her and countered into a Koji Clutch. Rose fought her way toward the ropes but Aminata held on to the submission and began landing calf strikes to the side of Rose’s head. Rose got to the ropes but Athena refused to break the hold, claiming there were no rope breaks in the match. With no other choice, Raychell Rose finally tapped out. Winner: Queen Aminata
- Queen Aminata and Athena celebrated the win as Raychell Rose had her head in her hands. Athena insisted that Rose join them in the celebration and Raychell reluctantly raised Aminata’s hand and congratulated her on the win. Rose tried to roll out of the ring but Athena called her back to hold the ropes open for Aminata, which she did.
Match #8
Tumblr media
Kerry Morton, Nick Wayne, and Billie Starkz vs. Jake Something, Vincent Nothing, and Giant Baba Yaga (with UltraMantis Black) - Kerry Morton went for the Showstopper on Vincent Nothing, but Giant Baba Yaga made the save with a running neckbreaker on Kerry. Billie Starkz came off the top rope with an attempted swanton on Baba, but Jake Something pulled Baba out of the way. Nick Wayne rebounded off the ropes for the springboard cutter on Something, but Something caught Nick and countered with a release German suplex but Nick landed on his feet. Nick Wayne charged in but Jake Something connected with the Black Hole Slam and got the pinfall. Winners: Jake Something, Vincent Nothing, and Giant Baba Yaga
Tumblr media
After the match, Kenzie Paige, Kylie Paige, Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, Brogan Finlay, and Ricky Morton all ran toward the ring from one side of the building as “Bounty Hunter” Bryan Keith, Shaw Mason, Tim Bosby, and Hunter Holdcraft stormed in from the other. Even with UltraMantis Black fighting alongside his clients, Morton and his cohorts had a nine on eight advantage. Morton and his crew were getting the better of the brawl until the pride of Pittsburgh MV Young made his way to the ring. A trainee of Larry Zbyszko, MV wasted no time taking Ricky and Kerry Morton out with a double clothesline. With the tide turning and the odds now even, Nick Wayne and Billie Starkz abandoned their running mates and could be seen leaving the venue with their bags. The locker room emptied and CORE officials, security, and local standby talent broke things up but not before the remaining members of Morton’s side were laid out.
Match #9
Tumblr media
Roderick Strong vs. Titus Alexander - Roderick Strong tried for the Gibson Driver on the ring apron, but Titus Alexander drove Strong into the post and countered with a Michinoku Driver off the apron and to the floor. Titus Alexander rolled back into the ring and referee Allison Leigh continued her count until Alexander opted to leave the ring again and bring Strong back inside. Titus attempted the Chaos Theory but Strong hooked his arms around the top rope. Titus rolled to the middle of the ring and charged into a big chop from Strong. Alexander got back on his feet and was met with a single leg dropkick from Roderick. Strong picked Alexander up and hit The End of Heartache and made the successful cover. Winner: Roderick Strong
- Roderick Strong celebrated his triumphant return to the Coal Region as a dejected Titus Alexander shuffled to the locker room.
