I thought about writing a book, but that seems so- I don't know the right word but it's not for me. I like to write about the same issues though, create characters and such with mental problems or similar happenings. I appreciate it! Re-reading the Legends Arceus arc (again) and M A N Gene gets so scruffy! He goes from looking like just a lil guy at the beginning of the arc to a scruffy little gremlin. It’s almost weird seeing him cleaned up

G o d the concussion realization is such a mood, it took days for me to notice my own when I got one!

Im surprised he was moving around like his brain wasn’t on-fire from going at a pace faster than a slow walk :,) put Gene in a cave so he doesn’t have to deal with bright lights!!!

skdfhsjkd it helps that the sky was red before (not too much light) and then he was mostly inside with just lanternlight after that! but walking around to fetch water is a sheer act of stubbornness, smhmh 🥲

Four headcanons abt Artemis pleeeaaassee

Absolutely!! Artemis was my first character so I got some stuff on her.

@haleycat19 and @maniacalsmirks because they wanted me to tag them in new stuff.

Headcanon A:  realistic

Artemis is what you would call not good with people. She’s rather blunt, will call anyone out if they do something she thinks is stupid, and usually comes off as very anti-social or cold. She is all of this, but she is also extraordinarily caring about a lot of people, particularly Oliver. She found Oliver when he tried to steal from her after running away from home. Instead of turning him in or leaving him she basically adopted him a treats him like a little brother. While she hasn’t adopted anyone else she does have a knack for picking up people who need help and protecting and caring for them, even if her manner doesn't always suggest she cares.

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

If Cato and Faolin are being particularly annoying, Artemis and Etana will purposefully ignore them for any length of time. They will talk about how nice it is that it’s finally quiet or other topics pretending the two aren’t there during their conversations. It never lasts very long, Cato and Faolin making up for whatever argument they were probably having that annoyed them in the first place and then the four of them have a good laugh about the whole thing. Oliver, Z and Kaine usually just shake their heads.

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Artemis is a Malikorian, a species of great power gifted with large wings. Aeron is also a Malikorian and because of him Malikorians are all but extinct and feared. When Artemis was young she was told to never fly far from the library she called her home. But she was young and reckless and one night she decided to go for a flight. While she was out she passed a town. Some people out hunting saw her and shot her down. She fell and crashed into a river where she was swept away. When she was finally found she was barely alive and broken. She was rushed back to her home and given the best medical care they could. Her wings were too tattered and broken to save and her upper back had to have several metal implants put in to piece it all back together. Ever since she has hated water and Malikoirans. She has heard all the horror stories about what Malikorians have done and without the ability to do the one thing she actually liked she let those stories ignite her hatred toward herself. That was until she met a certain few people, and in particular Etana. The first time Artemis cries in the books is when Etana sits her down and shows her a notebook filled with blueprints on how to make a new set of metallic wings for Artemis and asks her if she would be up for it.

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

Does this count if it is my canon? Haha well I’ll throw one in that is fairly canon but I suspect people who haven’t heard me talk about wouldn’t think of at first. Artemis is part of a four-person poly-amorous relationship.
