The SUNSHINE GOOD BOI squad is together! They are currently having a riveting and happy conversation! Everyone else, however, is blinded by the bright aura that surrounds said good bois.

This was meant to be a quick messy sketch but then I just got really into it and wanted to refine it! It was so fun! I just wanted to draw the cinnamon rolls interact tbh. I hope i was able to convey the expressions well, especially for Iruma, as I wanted him in particular to convey a mix of shyness yet enjoyment when he’s with Tanjiro and co. So I hope that squiggly smile is able to convey that! Anyway, sorry it’s sideways, I had to make it for the notebook so that it fits everyone, and I thought that format on the notebook would be best, so look sideways!

i know i've beaten the "narcissus and goldmund by hermann hesse is just german monastery yaoi" joke to death by now + it's not even true because the majority of this book is about Straight Sex and Heterosexuality but then again its treatment of women (or rather lack thereof) is so classically poor it loops back around to being yaoi again

#or it's not so much the treatment of women (because the women that do appear there are treated fairly within the context of the story) #but rather the role of the women. which is entirely to serve as a plot device and a tool for the main character's development #disclaimer i'm still only halfway through so things may still change #but it's pretty bleak. without actually being Bad. like all the women that narcissus has relations with consent to be with him #and make their own decisions etc. but they're not so much written as characters as they are symbols and narrative devices #except for arguably lydia and julie. but the standards are pretty low in this book #it is however an extremely well-written and thought provoking book #just suffers from early 20th century literature written by a man syndrome #hesse

I really enjoyed messy women characters. I like Ann and Mary. I liked that Archie is in the crew and she's a himbo. I like women who are not always socially correct, who are messy, who can't fucking cook lol, who are silly in whatever way.

One thing you gotta know about me is that I will quietly unfollow the fuck out of anyone on tumblr who reblogs or posts anything even remotely positive about Tony Stark, like I will politely show myself out SO FUCKING HARD they won't even know what hit 'em. - probably because they are unlikely to notice it at all

#obviously if we are friends i will not unfollow you but I follow a shitload of random blogs #and so i just bail at the first sign of bad vibes - or worse - BAD MEDIA TAKES. #it takes so much self-control not to reblog the thing myself and trash talk tony stark on it but that is their happy space not mine #buT GODS I HATE HIM SO MUCH. I watched endgame at home with my wife and we both literally cheered when he died #he's an abusive neglectful father figure but the writers and directors seem fully unaware of it I don't know what else to tell you #original #it's one thing for a character to be an emotionally manipulative piece of shit but it's a whole other ball game when #apparently the writers still think they wrote a really cool guy. and that is basically Tony Stark in a nutshell. #that man doesn't get a character arc he gets a character death. that's not the same thing. #I probably wouldn't hate him so much except my wife hates him so deeply and that has really made it unavoidable how much he sucks #and also he has that Wolverine syndrome where he is treated as the main character of every ensemble he's in no matter what #it is ALLLLL about Tony. at the end we see Tony has a hero's funeral. Black Widow is unmentioned. as Irrelevant in death as she was in life #she died doing what she loved: wearing tight clothes and making snarky quips. her two most important character traits.

i also think there are few things funnier than the way allen and kanda's relationship changes throughout the manga. like i do not ship them at all but for over a hundred issues it's yuu edgelord supreme kanda being like 'FUCK you for being nice and polite all the time. the world is a TERRIBLE place and it is STUPID AND NAIVE for you to pretend otherwise' and allen grin and bear it walker being like 'Actually I Believe In The Inherent Value Of Human Life You Piece Of Shit :) Be Nice To People :) Appreciate Your Friends :) Find Hope Or Go To Hell :) ' and then searching for AW hits with all the force of neah and the fourteenth and suddenly allen is like "maybe it is all meaningless actually haha i ruin everything i touch and my life was never truly mine <3 i think i might go catatonic for a little while about it wouldn't that be fun <3 go on the run and isolate myself <3" while kanda tracks him down to shake him by the shoulders like "wait wait wait fuck you oh my god stop that you need to believe in people again what about your fucking friends jesus christ don't you remember them oh my fucking god where did your stupid hope go and why do i have to be the one to force you to find it UGH." kanda fucked around and found out. literally be careful what you wish for.

#it's also a really beautiful character arc!! #like the way allen was such a beacon of hope he literally forced hope into kanda's life after YEARS #and then allen lost everything he ever knew about himself and his life and suddenly it's kanda's job to remind him of that very hope?? #that's so good like AWAUGHH?? #i wish i did ship them bc it seems like the perfect kind of thing to be mentally ill about #unfortunately i hate hate hate the idea of allen in a relationship love and light <3 #im just mentally ill about them in a platonic way #main character syndrome except it's just that i care about their plot and friendship dynamics too much to ship them with anyone #also he is Literally Son Boy to me. that is a baby. he's my LITTLE GUY. #allen is literally kanda's first friend too tho like i think that's part of it #it's so much more valuable for me to think of kanda finding respect for allen despite and even bc of everything he thought of as a flaw #so kanda coming through for him in searching for AW is just so!!! it is everything to me!!! #kanda starts out the series by outright saying i will leave you behind if you slow me down #and now he's grown so much as a character that he absolutely refuses to give up on allen even when allen's given up on himself #and to me personally this is a much more meaningful friendship dynamic than relationship dynamic #bc it feels more novel platonically #try too hard to beat the hope out of your silly little coworker and you might have to be the bitch who forces it back into him. #it makes me very emotional to think about it ok. i am cringe but i am free etc etc

hm it did occur to me today that possibly witnessing a whole bunch of nightmare discourse around the already nightmarish spectacle of a man using the legal system to continue to ruin the life of the woman who dared to leave him and call him what he was might be activating certain things for me, a person whose parents' divorce trial took five fucking years

Let’s just say that Soma gets a little irked when seeing a certain bear full of despair on screen… makes him have the urge to serve bear meat for dinner… it makes good practice for the future when he does cook bear meat😊

Listen I know Soma pretty much never ever gets mad, or when he does it’s still gonna be on the rational side of things, but with all the insane crap he’s gonna see with the viewings, that’s gonna make a normal person say and do insane crap. Food wars is one of the few “grounded in reality” stories (believe it or not) so seeing the insane crap of other worlds, especially as horrific as Danganronpa, is gonna make any normal person get angry at the bad guy.
