ALRIGHTY here we are at weeks three and four for the santa clauses series! I did not rewatch a second time because genuinely, these melted my brain. anyway, lets get into it below the cut!

So apparently according to the tsc tag, episode 3 that I missed last week is a sort of filler episode? OH BROTHER REALLY

Normally I would not complain bc I miss old format, 20-23 episode series but because I know this Isn't That? DREAD. how are you going to plot well and good in 7-8eps if some are filler? that is just SO condensed, my guy

Counterpoint to people who were sad about it but: I thought the teen romance was annoying and I'm GLAD they ended it even JUST for a bit (it will come back to haunt again, trust. It’s a disney series ffs.) Whoever is writing this needs to ask a teen about how they talk nowadays. This is not it.

I also think we're driving the whole "Buddy is terrible at everything" punchline WAY past its breaking point. Which I would argue was last season entirely, but. At the very latest, last episode with how heavy on cringe it was. Yes, EVEN for kids/teens.

Again, they are not antagonizing Magnus Antas enough for me to hate him. waaaaay too funny to be a villain. I can't take him seriously and DON'T want to

The way that Noel keeps sideyeing the Betty cutout as if to say "do you see this shit?" during his brunch with the Clauses SENT me tbh. That's bernelle coded and I love it

I do not know why Disney gets OFF on the Clauses being absolutely inept parents but I wish they would stop

SHOUTOUT JUDY OMG JUDY'S ACTRESS THAT’S JUDY JUDY IS HERE YOU GUYS (SCREAMINGGGG)

LOVING the exterior shots of the workshop and Elfsburg. As someone who has POURED over all available screenshots from the movies of those I am LIVING for new angles (even though I do NOT think bernelle would live that close to the Workshop, but it doesn't seem like Betty and Noel can POOF like Bman and Elle can (and do))

I don't know why there are TWO instances of a "misspoken turn of phrase" in this episode but neither were funny and TWO OF THEM was REALLY bad

CHUBBY BUNNY DID NOT EXIST THAT LONG AGO. NOT IN MAGNUS ANTAS' TIME. THAT WAS AN INTERNET FAD LESS THAN TEN YEARS AGO. WHAT ARE WE DOING DUDE. WHAT ARE THESE WRITERS ON (it's not good, I don't want some)

Crossing guard callback? For what? (okay, shrug I GUESS dot meme)

Why does this specific franchise always have to make EB SO WEIRD. WHY. Nothing about this is funny it's just off-putting. Just like the previous EB flirting with Carol's MARRIED MOM in tsc3

This Carol and La Befana scene was actually very good. LOVE it when they actually just let the characters be HONEST with each other. Women supporting women core. Even if Carol's reason for being mad at her was really shallow and obviously stems form Carol's lack of identity as Mrs. Claus because they just cannot wrap that plot point from last season up.

THE LETTERS DEPARTMENT. It looks dope but HATE the explanation for it. Half assed as hell. WARNING! Rant incoming: like from what I know a LOT of postal services have little lore stories about how they get the letters to Santa. WHY COULDNT WE JUST SAY THERE ARE AGREEMENTS BETWEEN SANTA AND OTHER ADULT PEOPLE WHO KEEP THE SPIRIT ALIVE FOR OTHERS AS WELL? Why is this series so obsessed with making everything only powered by magic and never by others (yes, humans) who want to keep the spirit alive as well? It feels like magic is being used as an "explain it all away" crutch narratively. Even in season 1, the "solution" to mass consumerism wasn't for people to be kind to each other and do little things to keep the magical parts of Christmas alive, it was to show the world that magic was real. Season 2 so far, the answer to everything is also just magic. I'm hoping that maybe the B plot with Kris will touch on this. Because as it stands right now, it feels like the writers are talking out of both sides of their mouth. Commercial Christmas is bad, but Kris is a loser for having a Santa theme park. Like?? Homogenization of Christmas is the Big Bad at large, but also up at the Pole they are trying to find ways to do the same thing to be "current". CHRISTMAS IS MULTIFACTED. It is both secular and religious! That is OKAY, I don't even think "woke" people are arguing about that. Sheesh.

The way Magnus Antas picks up on modern slang so quickly practically puts Scott to shame. Good for him

AGAIN, the misturn of phrase jokes. DEAD. Not funny. STOP

If they are going to make Sandra so op that she can just Wanda Maximoff chaos magic "I just say something when I'm mad and it happens, anything I want with no negative impact on me" I will not find that swag. That is in fact Mary Sue territory, lads

Sandra's little outburst @ La Befana was giving magical nepo baby for a moment there. Oof. "Too bad I'm just naturally more skilled than you even though I'm new and you've been a witch forever" girl SHUT. UP. You are like a little baby. Also that is so mad disrespectful like no WONDER La Befana is wanting you to slow tf down. You fly off the handle WAY to easily and we ALL know you lose control when you do! Okay loose cannon! Werk!

Riley. Girl. "we never see each other" you were just up at the Pole?? Like. OFTEN?? This is so stupid of a breakup but they are teenagers so go off kids, be dysfunctional or what have you. Rah rah, as Jack would say

Episode four now, lord help us. God has cursed me for my (loving this one Christmas movie series) hubris and my work (watching it's hellish series spin off) is never finished

"Reversing a transformation is never a guarantee" what is this La Befana? the Sims? Sounds like transformation ray odds. Magic is not THAT unpredictable, even by in-universe logic

Scott being able to look like his normal self whenever he wants and they just didn't tell him? For like. 25 years? Like its clear that by the series standards, the elves think he's a total moron. But it pendulums hard and fast between "haha funny joke" and "damn they really think he ain't shit, huh"

Edie being a fashion diva is such a serve she's grown on me this season ngl

"I had to teach him how to do all the Legendaries jobs" Scott I know you're waffling, absolutely FUMBLING but what the FUCKKKKK is that excuse??? What's Cal going to do? Be EVERY Legendary? TERRIBLE AWFUL HATE IT UNINSPIRED. Not to mention, SOME OF THE OTHER LEGENDARIES MIGHT NOT TAKE THAT NEWS WELL. Some might even feel THREATENED

"The man I die for in my sleep every night" UM? Noel? You okay there bud? Holy heck

THE PURPLE JACKET IS SWAG AND SCOTT IS A HATER. HE CANNOT SEE THE VISION

Do you guys think according to this new lore Edie made Jack's suit? because me thinks PERHAPS

Magnus Antas is kind of popping off, damn. Like I think if the gnomes hadn’t given him MAJOR delusions of grandeur and an ego trip, he could have stayed totally a vibe. But stop giving the Santas snow powers and reconning Jack holy SHIT dude. First Scott now him? HATE IT

The way they made Scott and Cal look when "invisible" is Not a Good Look heck. Its like a bad picsart filter

These Scott visions. I get why, its through the Santa magic, right? But dang its corny

So Scott knows Magnus Antas is back now. Okay. They got away from him. Lost visual on Olga, have a bad feeling she somehow sneaked into the sleigh. Weird cliffhanger but EVERY episode has been like that so far

Final thoughts: I feel like they're definitely trying to make this season take itself less seriously, but I feel like the trade off is that the writers are taking too many liberties for diversions from source material and are therefore, losing the plot entirely and retconning movie lore at will and convenience. Tl;dr, it's messy. Concepts are fun until things just become so irreverent they fall apart or lean into entirely unfunny territory. Which is just a hallmark of T*m All*n brand humor, tee em, but you know.

It feels like this series is doing everything and nothing. It wants woke points, but immediately doubles back and makes fun of those same things. It wants us to feel empathy for these characters, and immediately makes them insufferable. I am so confused as to what the takeaway is supposed to be. It all feels so poorly executed--the series retcons itself constantly, not to mention the movies. I want it to be fun, and to take it at surface value, but if you know literally anything about the movies, that becomes a challenge to do. I'm just so confused dude.

I will be shocked if this gets a third season. Truly.

Also, I miss Betty too, Noel. Wish this whole season was about HER shenanigans, instead.

General notes:

- CURTIS BLEW UP??????? IM SCREAMIMG 😭😭😭😭 NOT MY LIL DUDE THATS SO FUCKD UP LMAO

- I loved everything about Sandman, especially him having nightmares about Freddy Krueger bdjdg that was great. I hope we see more of him before the seasons over!

- The woman who got a framed picture of guy fieri pfffff love that for her

- And uh. Also. Ahem. MAGNUS ANTAS THREW A FIRE BALL AT SCOTT ANS BURNED HIS DUMB ASS. I AM HOLLERING.

Overall, there was a lot going on this episode! Definitely my fav so far of the season. Not sure how I feel about their Curtis explanation,, on the one hand I am gutted that my special lil guy is dead (???? I think?????) but also I find it very funny and fitting that he got so stressed he blew up. RIP to a legend.

Mad Santa continues to slay and every episode I like Olga more and more. Scott’s weird ambiguous Santa powers are annoyingly unestablished but okay ??? He knows everything now and gets visions ???? Aight. Ig.

Season 2, Episode 6

Well, we finally know what Kris's purpose was, other than comic relief. Santapolis's whole purpose was to be a stopping point for Mad Santa where he and Olga could show the audience that they really aren't that bad, and since they obviously weren't going to be killed off (not that kind of Disney franchise!) they (or, at least, Magnus) needed another place to go. Yeah, okay. I'll buy that. Kris's purpose was to provide Magnus Antas with a new purpose. What do I think about this? Mm...it's fine. If Jack Frost can be thawed by a hug, why not?

So, when Magnus Antas put himself in the doghouse (pun intended) and said he was 'Werewolfing himself', that had me wondering if they were going to drop one of those little throw-away nuggets, like "Oh yeah, by the way, Werewolves are real. Anyway, I was a bad person, lock me up." If they're gearing up for a Christmas/Halloween crossover in Season 3 and it looks too much like a watered down version of The Hollow, I'm gonna sue! XD

Okay, seriously though, I didn't mind this episode all that much. Lots of tying up loose ends, though very little character development, and Scott finally pulled his head out of his butt and decided to be a good dad. I liked that Magnus actually helped him see where he made his mistakes. Didn't much care for the final confrontation, but it was interesting that the cocoa mug was actually the amulet. Noel is finally showing that he can be as bada$$ as his wife, which I LOVED!

The Betty/Olga fight seemed a bit forced to me, mostly because what can a toy sword do against an actual battle axe! And them fighting over the toy like...well, children. I know they look like children, but it's pretty much been established that they're adults, they can marry, they have jobs. So to be like "I want it!!!" "No, it's mine!!!" just fell a little flat to me. I much preferred what came after!

So, is the Elf/Gnome grudge all because Gnomes can't make toys, and Elves can't make useful things (like, excuse you, toys are useful, they serve a purpose!), so it's all about jealousy? Hm...interesting. You know, they could probably team up to make some pretty nice back to school stuff! Sure, it's useful, but who says it can't be fun to look at, or maybe have bells or charms hanging off it? Kids would eat that UP! Just look at all the Lisa Frank stuff that was all over the place before.

EB is normal again, and possibly a potty mouth. Love that. XD

Riley is back, and suddenly all is forgiven. Hate it.

And apparently Scott is NOT in Dutch with the Council for breaking nearly every rule in the book? This man is a Karma Houdini!

I guess Disney accomplished their goal, at least...they got us to watch and talk about it. I just wish they were more character oriented, because they sure as Hades ain't concerned about continuity!

Oh yeah, and Curtis is alive! So, why'd they call it 'Curtis-itis'? Hmmmm...

The Santa Clauses - Season 2 (2023) Review

While season 1 was OK, I am surprised that I really enjoyed season 2 of The Santa Clauses. The writers seem to have found the tone of the series and the new characters are really likeable. Especially, Eric Stonestreet as Magnus Antas / The Mad Santa was amazing.

So, Season 2. It's. It's alright ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But like...that's it, lmao.

I did enjoy it! I got WAY MORE genuine laughs out of these first two episodes than I did the entire first season. Magnus is hilarious, I love his whole vibe lmao. Fluffy's character, Kris, he's...man is really out here looking for a father figure and it is deffs biting him in the ASS.

The elves are top tier as per the usual! Betty and Noel are continuing to be THE power couple and I am SO HAPPY ABOUT IT, I love them to death 🥰🥰🥰

My fave thing about the season so far is just everyone out here like Scott wtf are you doing. Wtf, man. I yelled GET HIS ASS so many times lol. The official Get His Ass Count as of the end of Episode 2: 8. 8 whole GET HIS ASS moments. BLESS.

SO RIGHT. NITTY GRITTY. OKAY.

Episode 1

Scott sucked SO BAD this episode. He breaks the SOS on a worldwide level then gets upset when Cal is like "I love Riley! I wished her here! We're hanging out! Riley!! :D" and is like "Bro you should've dusted her."

OKAY SCOTT. WHAT ABOUT THE WHOLE WORLD, SCOTT, HMM? ARE WE DUSTING THEM??? HMM??? YEESH.

Scott aside (you know, his usual boomer-esque old guy who refuses to change shtick with BUT WHAT ABOUT FAMILY! And whatnot thing), everything else was. Mid, tbh. But fun! Santa being like "Are you gonna kill him?" With Carol being like "I can take care of Gary" was hilarious.

Betty and Noel, of course, SHINNED. I love them, they are SO CUTE. Cardboard face cutouts??? ICONIC. Nobody is doing it like them!

Now. Cal. aka, Buddy. I am very worried for him. Like, 4 episodes ago he was having ANXIETY about being Santa? And now this? Carol being like "what if he doesn't want it don't force him to follow in your footsteps" like. I AGREE. HE SHOULD GO OFF TO COLLEGE AND LIVE HIS LIFE!!!! I have a lot of thoughts there but it is late and I need to FOCUS because I need to yell about Cupid in a second, ANYWAY

Magnus Antas. I love this guy. I fucks with him. He takes a 700 year nap and is like "I'm fine" until his toxic bestie is like "I WANT TO KILL" and a kid sasses him for not being Santa/being OLD and he's like "Nevermind. I want to kill now too. Time to MURDER." He has VIBES and I like them!! He also seems like he's was over it until Olga was like "but what if" and some kid was mean to him and tbh, I can't even blame him for getting pissy at the kid lol. I'd also turna kid into "a Roblox" if I could (here for Gamer Mad Santa btw. I'd watch him stream on Twitch)

This is verging into Episode 2 territory, lol. May as well get there, then!

EPISODE 2

So, the LORE DROPS. Um. There was a LOT of it? And it seems to contradict itself/not quite equate with itself? If the NP is a utopia for magic, why is it like that? Was Magnus good, or not? Why do ALL the fairy creatures live there, when they come from so many diverse cuktures and backgrounds? That's a lil messed up! What the fuck happened with the gnomes becoming so (what's the phrase) PROMINENT for Santa? Will we get answers for all of these? Based on past season, PROBABLY NOT! BUT I HOPE WE DO! BC IT IS A BIT ALL OVER THE PLACE! AHH!

RIGHTO. SO SANDRA'S MAGIC. Love that for her! Love that they're actually devoting time to showing her interacting with La Befana and learning about herself and the pair of them discussing things!!! MUCH rather watch that than a 5 minute long auto-tuned elf song which is there just for a Santa/Satan joke! I'm excited to see how her whole arc goes--it looks like she's ACTUALLY GETTING ONE.

I wonder why Befana needs her to tell her parents, like, aside from obvious reasons. She was so insistent on Sandra making sure her parents knew she was training with Befana, that I'm wondering if there's something more to it a la "our powers don't work on other legendary figures". Like, was it to keep her mind clear? Is it like a past thing? Bc Witches are "scary" and often "bad" given that Santa calls Befana a "good one"?

That's another thign! Not sure I vibed with THAT whole thing. Both Claus's being like "yeah witches, they are deffs their stereotypes". Like. Idk. It sits. Not gr8 with me. Feels like performative activism, sorta, you know?

Which is also how I feel about the girl power moments, tbh. Like, it's nice to see them--Carol respecting Befana as a self-made woman, sister solidarity, etc. But it feels very performative! It feels very much like they are checking it off a list, you know? They're STILL like "Carol is trying to find a role for Mrs. Claus" and they go for COP? Wildin. Also wildin that the ELFS are COP EQUIVALENTS? Um, since WHEN?! They are funky little guys with jet packs and no regard for authority. Remember when they broke Santa out of jail and bullied the cop at the front desk? Remember that? YEAH.

OKAY SO NOW MY FAVOURITE PART TO TALK ABOUT. CUPID AND THE COUNCIL!

So as a classics major and a lover of the Cupid/Psyche myth (and personal bias from OCs made bc of said myth) I was unimpressed with the Mrs. Cupid convo. FIRST off, her name is PSYCHE so jot that down. SECONDLY. It was ONE ARROW MEANT FOR HER THAT SOMEHOW GOT LODGED INTO CUPID ACCIDENTALLY WHILE SENT ON AN ERRAND BY HIS MOTHER, VENUS, TO TAKE CARE OF (make her fall in love with a horrible monster/something/someone very ugly) PSYCHE BC SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL WORSHIP WAS DROPPING FOR VENUS AND GOING TO PSYCHE.

This resulted in Cupid and Psyche having a very strange romance/marriage in which Psyche's shitty sisters convince her to break Cupid's one rule (which was don't look at me) and he gets injured, HELD HOSTAGE by his mother, and Psyche has to go on a QUEST to free him that involves Venus making her do all sorts of shitty shenanigans, setting the personifications of sadness and despair on her, and trapping her in an eternal sleep. Cupid, afflcited by his own arrow, escapes his mother's house when he hears about this, finds her, and draws the sleep out of her, waking her up and reuniting them.

They then proceed to go to Zeus (not Jupiter despite Cupid being the Roman equivalent of Eros, and Venus roman of Aphrodite? It's interesting) like LOOK WHAT VENUS DID and Zeus goes "Wow, that's a little fucked up, actually. Listen, I'll make her a god and sanction your marriage and tell of your Mom IF you do something a little fucked up for me and help me get ANY woman I want" to which Cupid goes "Sure, that sounds reasonable and not fucked up at all" and then he and Psyche get married and have a fucking rager with the gods and have one kid, Pleasure, aka Hedone/Volupta, or in SOME iterations, THREE kids, Pleasure, Joy, and a third one who's name escapes me (Vanity I think) and presumably live happily ever after! READ FOR YOURSELF!

I am very passionate about this bc uh. this is uh. Dite's whole ass backstory? She is Hedone lmao so I've got some personal attachment here thanks to me own OCs lmao, ANYWAY

So YEAH that got me miffed. As did uh, the whole PEEKABOO and cupid making baby noises back at Riley. The ICK.

But you know what I DID love?? Cupid being like "I'm not spying but also, I am spying and also, the whole ass entire council is like BOI...WHAT THE FUCK". GET HIS ASS! CALL HIM OUT!! BC YEAH, WHAT THE FUCK SCOTT?? SEASON 1?? HELLO??? EVERYTHING BEFORE THAT??? VIOLATING THE SOS BY SHARING ALL THOSE SNOW GLOBES??? AHHHHHHH.

Cupid delivering that 3 month deadline and Council threat I was like. HERE for it. I was like. GET HIS ASS (this was one of the GHA counter moments tbh). Like, this dude is out of control! I think it's high time Scott meets the consequences for his actions! AH!

So YEAH. Excited to see Sandy and for New EB! I hope the whole Council comes back, even if they have to recast, that 5 minute scene would add YEARS to my life that Riley and Cal took away.

Because they are. So icky. I feel as though. There is a scale. And Marie is on one end, and Riley is on the other. This isn't just FIRST LOVE this is just DISGUSTING. Like it was cute at first last season but now Riley is honestly?? Sups annoying. You can tell that they're like, checking items off the list instead of actually putting more thought into them, because Riley is v much a stereotype and they have WAY UPPED her teenager levels. I need them to talk to actual teens. Nobody says OMG like that and also, she's bringing home BIKERS?????????? UM??????? It's like. Why are they so bad at writing love interests? You feel? Tho this could just be a me thing 🤔🤔🤔

They really should've socialized those kids, DAMN. Santa being like "And we all know how that [Romeo and Juliet] went" or whatever the line was had me like "FINALLY SCOTTY BOY. SOMETHING WE CAN AGREE ON!"

AND LAST ON MY LIST. THE SCOTT/SANDRA SCENE.

Finally. Finally. FINALLY. Some good parenting from Scott. FINALLY. Being sups understanding to Sandra? I actually loved it. He finally did ONE (1) GOOD THING. MAYBE HE IS? LEARNING? I DUNNO MAN! WE'LL SEE HOW IT GOES! But yeah, I did like that scene a lot. I'm just really here for Sandra getting her moment!

So YEAH. Overall, season 2 is okay. Gave me more laughs which is WELCOME, and I cannot wait to see how this develops. Especially since the lore was like, really thrown our way, you know? It was a lot for two episodes and again, did kind of contradict itself? Hopefully it clears up once Santa inevitably learns the truth about Mad Santa, probably mostly thanks to Carol who is DOING the MOST.

But yeah, I'm hoping to see the lore tidied/explained a bit better. Especially bc the whole elf lore opening, with the icy tunnels and drab vibes, didn't sit well with me? It...I didn't like it. Not my cup of tea. The lore in general isn't my cup of tea though it's fun to see it there finally, lol. Poor Toots, being named after a fart essentially (I went right to toilet humour, I'm sorry, I am so mature I promise i'm not)

Also, they really kinda. Throw around the head elf title, huh? It felt REALLY WEIRD to not see BMan there, and Toots just being thrown in? Weird it's WEIRD. So I did not liveblog the santa clauses eps 1 and 2 because frankly, there was a lot going on, but I am taking notes hindsight because I do be having a lot of thoughts! Keep in mind I did watch through twice with the Dani bean so we were in there, critically even. I will line break for potential spoilers, watch the eps first if you'd like to!

First of all, season 2 is not as bad as season 1 so far, to me. I could be biased simply because there is more lore, and I am in fact a slut for lore. Not that I like everything they're doing because no, not by a long shot. Most of the elf lore i actually am very ?? about. But it's interesting! It's world building, and it also gives me ideas of what I don't want to do in my own work! Thanks, guys! /srs

However, it does give you something to actual chew on rather than just throwing "the world is too modern/nobody cares about Christmas anymore if it's not commercial! blah blah blah" at you over and over again like season 1 did. The family dynamic is leaning away from using miscommunication as a plot device and we REJOICE at that, frankly.

They're bringing back legendaries, eventually and a little bit at a time. LOVE that. t*m all*n's humor continues to be the low point of any scene its in. Then again he's producing the whole show, so maybe that's why everything has just a touch of stank on it. Not the good kind. The out of touchness, if you will. I am glad to be seeing the homies again though, I would have shed an actual tear at seeing Cupid if they didn't immediately follow his being there with the most cringeworthy scene of the episode (and that's saying something.) I am waiting for Dani's rant about Cupid's lore because saying he can't have kids was a choice (but like I pointed out, can't isn't the same as doesn't. There could be a rule he may have broken, or what have you...just saying....side eyes Dite)

My main hope is that this doesn't just become a giant retcon of the parts of tsc2 and 3 that t*m all*n didn't like because he wasn't in charge of it.

Anyway, here are the rapid fire thoughts and such:

Scott being so perilously out of touch with his kids was getting old even in the first episode of this season ESPECIALLY after last season so I'm glad they seem to be dialing back on that in season 2 episode 2 at LEAST. I would like to see some emotional intelligence from t*m all*n even though it’s a reach, because the dad who is absent and unavailable card is played out! We get it, he overfocuses on his job! Damn)

Its kind of fun how they're definitely incorporating more kinds of magic in to the story, but if they're going the direction it seems with just making the North Pole the epicentre of the magical world I am. Not a fan on premise.

If they're just saying that magibeans favor uninhabited (by humans) spaces that makes sense but I hope they actually point that out? (this has nothing to do with the idea I am partial to of things running on magical ley lines that meet at the Poles but also criss cross at various places around the world giving magibeans hotspots to be and thrive away from prying human eyes. that's just a me theory)

(also side note unmentioned in the new eps but I want them to expound on why the South Pole is so bad according to this new lore since they were using it in a slash derogatory way last season)

If they want me to dislike Magnus Antas they're going to have to stop making him so funny. Also I did comment to Dani mid second watch that he could have been played by Jack Black and that would have gone incredibly hard. It would have

The existence of elf related clauses brings me GREAT JOY FOR NO PARTICULAR REASON. ESPECIALLY with Betty saying how SPECIFIC THEY ARE WINK WONK NUDGE NUDGE (hands you a second (third?) business card that has the emissary clause on it)

I wish they weren't making Riley so annoying? Like I get they're teens and obnoxious in how they show affection and all but like. Its so….dated. Teenagers don't SAY omg, Disney. Gen Z teenagers aren't lacking this much behavioral awareness. What tf are you DOING

Also the idea of Scott being worried about Riley "telling" people about the Pole/the SoS is a bit LATE considering he just gave everyone magical snowglobes last season PLUS she's literally JUST ONE TEENAGER. WHO is going to listen girl. especially in the era of AI and deepfakes. even if she took VIDEO no one is believing her

The Roblox bit for the gen alpha kids was genuinely funny though. If there is anything I know about gen alpha is they fuck heavily with roblox and fortnite. Something something, skibbidy.

I love that Betty literally opened with "yeah if Carol takes over ELFS prepare to deal with the fact Gary is a total loaf and not good at his job" AND LO AND BEHOLD. These head elves are like prophets with how right they be in these movies and the show. Go figure, it's almost like they know how their workplace runs. IF ONLY SOMEONE WOULD STOP REMOVING THEM FROM SAID WORKPLACE--

Sandra being a witch is fun and fresh and again, I hope they know what they're doing with the "witches and other magibeans live at the Pole" shenanigans. I did watch the whole levitating things with La Befana scene and flash back to Elle and Jack training scenes in roe, which is a me thing but it did make me smile

If there is one positive takeaway from seasons 1 AND 2, it's that Betty and Noel beat out all your faves. I love the way that they are so damn much. talk about the blueprint

Oh, and the last thing to touch on: I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY CANONICALLY CUT UP ST. NICHOLAS' ROBES. BRO. You guys are up there chopping up a whole ass RELIC? for WHAT? A fugly VEST? This truly has my mind going in circles. Roeverse!bernard just sat up in bed in the dead of night in a cold sweat. Elle mumbles what's wrong? He says I just got a feeling something terrible is happening, but I don't know why or where. You're right, bman. What the fuck is this tbh. "Care about the tradition and history of Christmas" the show/t*m all*n says. YOU JUST CUT UP ST. NICK'S ROBES I'M NOT LISTENING TO SHIT YOU SAY MAN! HECK!

He’s got multiple chess boards at home, a magnetic set for the road and plays chess on a phone app with friends and teammates.
