2-3: Hypothetical IDW Sonic designs for Sally and Nicole. SEGA of Japan doesn’t like to use or reference the Freedom Fighters anymore b/c they didn’t have a hand in the characters’ creation (SEGA of America made up their own lore and called Ricky “Sally Acorn”), so I tried to make Sally as visually distinct from Ricky as possible. I made Nicole into a “computer mouse” because she legally cannot be depicted as a lynx in future official Sonic media due to that design belonging to Archie Comics (also the artist who made her lynx form is into NFTs, gross)

4-6: Look I know both Surge and Kit need a legit therapist before anything else but hear me out.......Tails is Sonic’s brother and Sonic has a tendency to smooch befriend a lot of his rivals so it’d make sense for Tails to pick up that habit lol

9: Madonna was created during development of Sonic 1 to be Sonic’s lovesick damsel-in-distress girlfriend; she was scrapped due to the Genesis’s hardware limits and SEGA of America thinking the relationship was inappropriate. I tried to make her look closer to Sonic’s age and more adventurous, the Bulma to Sonic’s Goku since the series loves to make DBZ parallels lol. Amy looks up to Madonna like a big sister and they room together in Station Square.

The thing about the whole debate with how She-Hulk looks is there’s no way to win it. I’ve read the comics since forever, believe me I know.

“They didn’t make her buff! They just made her a slim sexy woman!” Yeah and that’s basically what Jen is through the majority of the comics. She’s been over sexualised since her debut by various authors and portrayed as just some slightly taller than average chick who people lust after cuz she’s green so therefore exotic (make of that what you will) and any muscle definition she got was standard female hero fare of faint abs outline, kinda defined thighs that still have thigh gap, and maybe some bicep definition. Carol Danvers and Wonder Woman also get this treatment a lot. Bear in mind I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with Jen being slim and attractive, but people are watching the trailer and acting like it’s a new thing. It’s not.

And then there’s the flip side when they actually do make Jen big and muscular like Bruce, sometimes even speaking in third person and short sentences the way Hulk does, and I’ve already seen people in the tags pointing out that they’d like to see this instead, only to get other people saying “so you just want hulk but if he was a girl?”.

The point of this is that there’s no way to win. Jen has been both big and buff and slimmed down in her time and either way she’s going to draw criticism. Whichever way the trailer with its bad cgi went, there was going to be a bad reaction to it bc muscular women just can’t win.

Disney did give us Luisa earlier this year only for her to be criminally underrepresented in merchandise and fan art alike, despite her popularity. Zarya from Overwatch is one of the best characters both gameplay and lore wise and yet constantly gets pushed to the sidelines for not being conventionally attractive enough. Steven Universe introduced a host of tall, muscular women to us with Garnet, Bismuth and Jasper to name a few, only to consistently sideline them in favour of small, petite gems. Wonder Woman is constantly in a state of limbo of her being this super strong warrior princess with inconsistent powers cuz we don’t wanna emasculate the male heroes or risk taking away from her attractiveness. One of the biggest criticisms Madonna gets these days in regards to her appearance is how muscular she is. My sister and I both have visible muscle tone and constantly have people staring and whispering if we’re wearing short sleeves.

The problem is so much bigger than She Hulk, she’s just the latest victim of it, yet not really the latest because she’s been pushed this way and that, depending on who’s writing her. A recent comics run had the two versions of Jen face off; a story claiming that the bigger, more hulk-like Jen is a monster. The one time Jen gets to really be A HULK and this is how she’s treated.

There’s nothing she can do right simply on the basis of being a woman, and a physically powerful woman at that. Muscular women still don’t get the respect they deserve and that needs to change.

My Headcanon!⚠️

For those who still think that Sonic was never attracted to humans, that the creators never wanted humans with him, or think it's zoophilia/bestality.

(I know Lah and Helen doesn't count because it's platonic of Lah's part, and Helen for being just a friend for Sonic. But I could see the intention of having created them, and people ship them.)

Sonic Team lost hope of making some human for Sonic after suffering a lot of hate from Sonamy/Sonally fans (most are fanbrats).

And so they share for mandates, merch and jokes with all ships, to avoid useless fights.

But there's still something about Sonic Frontiers, where there's supposed to be a ghost girl/A.I with human appearance, who are also supposed to have some bond or a passion for our dear hero.

Even having some "evidences", and we saw that Amy's voice appears to trick Sonic or being herself somehow warning where his friends are trapped (and probably the voices of others will appear too), fanbrats are already stating and believing and saying IT'S CANON that for some reason, this would be a reason to ship or something, even believing in Amy's idiocy to have "died" and turned into some kind of "ghost"?

For love! Shippers are getting more and more crazy and desperate for their dear 12 year old pink hedgehog who was an annoying fanbrat just like most of them and that her personality was totally butchered and turned into a Mary-Sue/Sally Acorn stay with our dear blue hedgehog who is not shy, a very arrogant hero, is a romantist and adventurer who looks like he prefers human/humanoid girls and was never in love with her in the canon stories.

This is my opinion and HEADCANON, if you disagree and want to talk in peace and comment your headcanon, feel free!
