We could see in the Valentine's day comic that Sans is really a tiiiiny bit insecure. He has abandonment issues so unlike his brother that would just ask Frisk directly to do something together because he'd miss them, Sans would shut down from the guilt of feeling jealous towards his brother, that with other things that pile onto it.

They are smart yes but still wild instincts. So maybe its a hard time ?

Well, they live in kind of wild, so clothes are gonna get dirty very quickly. So it's more like you said "a favorite thing" rather than clothes. Or so thinks the most part of Lamias, they don't understand the concept of clothes completely xD

And, yes, they are mostly cooperative. But some, ah, complicate things a bit just for their own amusement x)

Do you use butterflies as delivery? It's very nice. But only for light packages? And for heavier packages?

These are musunovi. They’re not ACTUALLY butterflies, they just look like them. They’re how I can talk to you guys without being connected to the internet. They can take down a message and repeat it back to the recipient or carry items. They’re crazy strong, but if they can’t carry something on their own, multiple musunovi will carry out the task. Their species name is just their separate names mashed together. There’s a musu, and a novi. Each of them work a little differently.

Novi remember the sender’s name and change their colors to match them. This is just for the sake of the recipient’s safety and grabbing their attention more easily. Novi are arguably more pleasant than musu as well, since they don’t need to shout or touch to catch a pony’s attention.

Musu don’t remember the name of whoever sent them. They can also carry packages, but their packages are usually smaller, and they don’t get help carrying things since they don’t know where the other musu are. Some ponies even choose to use musu repellent to keep them away, but novi need something more heavy-duty.

Musunovi can’t speak on their own, and can only mimic or paraphrase the message given to them. They can also be hard to follow unless they slow down for you, since they can move at the speed of light.

They also seem to come from a rift between the world portal. But since ponies can't go in there, it's hard to tell what's going on with that. Musunovi have been deemed harmless and safe to interact with.
