"What is this?" She asked as she came across the scene of three of her children practicing with their bows.
She laughed lightly and jumped as their donkey took a nip at the small bale of hay in her hand. "All right... all right." And left their donkey to enjoy and stood to observe with Seth.
"And how long has this been going on?" She began to believe, mayhaps her older three were taking not only a page from their father but from her two younger siblings. "If only Alynne and Alden could see them now." And retrieved Garrick from Seth with a thankful kiss and balanced her youngest on her hip as she observed.
Smirking, she peered up towards Seth, "And what else have you been keeping secret?"

Aviva tried to awaken Seth with a strong shake. When he wouldn't, she whispered in his ear. "Your mother took the children." And with a soft laugh, she watched him spring up and shook her head, "I jest...but do get up, the children and I have something to show you."
And took him on a leisurely stroll to a small forested area, where Jasper, Veda and little Lucien on her hip presented to their father on his 2nd special day of every turn of seasons....a playground, for themselves.
"They all said it was for you, but as you can see..." and shrugged her shoulders, "Happy Day to you dearest husband and Daddy."

Aviva watched Veda with Lucien, much like she remembered Jasper with Veda, and how they explored and accepted the idea of a new sibling. Veda was upset at first, she had been expecting a sister, yet she found herself more and more inclined to stay with her mother and Lucien and study the sleepy little boy. “What do you think, shall we keep him?” Aviva asked with a soft smile, yet not quite able to hide the warned concern in her expression.  Veda sat with them, holding her arms out to embrace her little brother and while she did, Aviva fixed the clip in her hair; much like their father’s, yet not as dark as her own. And held her breath a moment when Veda kissed Lucien’s little forehead, where he stirred, but slept on, feeling safe in his sister’s arms. “We protect each other Veda, as Skyes, as Davenports, we protect our own.” she whispered to Veda, who eventually maneuvered her way onto Aviva’s lap, while Veda held Lucien in her own. “Yes Mama...like ‘tee-tee’ and ‘tee-toh’.” Aviva laughed lightly, that marked concern washing away, “You mean Alynne and Alden, yes.”

The moment should have been joyous. Aviva had taken the time to have hand written the scrolls to be send out to her family at the eventual birth of her child.  All that needed to be filled in was the date and their child’s name. It was left to Seth to announce their child’s name. There would be no ceremony, no marking of the child with different colors of ochre, no spirit animal to protect the little one. Fair-haired like his older brother, his eyes a shade of dark blue, but suspicions were they would settle into a warmer color. With his family about, and Aviva’s, in the bedroom where Aviva remained, alive but lost to the world. Their son was named.

It was so simple, for sisters to be reunited, even under such dire circumstances, but the Princess came for Aviva, for her family. Aviva had awoken, but she was made stronger not only by the presence of Alexandria but the magical healing bestowed onto her, the green energy that eviscerated the toxins that tried to steal away Aviva. The birth of Lucien had been too much, but Aviva had tried to carry on, risking her own life for her newborn boy. Alexandria again berated that dire warning.  Aviva could no longer have children, she shouldn’t have any more children.  It would be the death of her. Yet...sisters talked like sisters would.  Where now that Aviva was awake, she teased the Princess, single and beautiful, venerable and stoic, she came to Barley to feel the embrace of the Skyes, one by one and protect the one in danger. While Alexandria did not travel alone, Aviva took note that, and was merciless, wondering about the stranger with her, wondering if there was something more not yet spoken.  Aviva relented, but now that Alexandria had taken her hand and helped heal her, Aviva would not acquiesce, for getting Alex’s goad she found far too amusing. Like sisters would. @mistress-alexandria
