Hey!
We didn't get a card of Lucemon Satan Mode yet, but it is mentioned by name in the new card of Lucemon Falldown Mode (Chaos Mode in eng.) from EX-06, so it will probably be featured in a future set soon!
Lucemon: Chaos Mode EX6-054 by Minato Sashima from EX-06 Theme Booster Infernal Ascension
Card text translation under cut:
Lucemon: Chaos Mode EX6-054
Ultimate | Virus | Demon Lord / Seven Great Demon Lords
[Digivolve] [Lucemon]: Cost 6
[On Play] [When Digivolving] Your opponent may delete 1 of their Digimon or Tamers. If this effect didn't delete, trash the top card of your opponent's security stack and <Recovery +1 (Deck)> (Place the top card of your deck on top of your security stack).
[All Turns] When this Digimon would leave the battle area, by returning 1 [Lucemon]from this Digimon's digivolution cards or from your trash to the bottom of the deck, you may play 1 [Lucemon: Satan Mode] or level 6 Digimon card with the [Seven Great Demon Lords] trait from your trash without paying the cost.
Ffith Deadly Digimon: Lucemon, avatar of Pride! Three phases to this guy. i probably would have liked this if it was only two. i feel like that third phase always has to stay, so flip a coin on which of the other two. i’d say regular rookie level Lucemon and SM.
Lucemon and Lucemon CM are a bit samey in how they go, and CM and SM use similar movesets. SM(phase 3) has a gimmick where it’s immune to all damage, and it’s basically an endurance/item stock test.
Can I request a Lucemon taking care of a child tamer that sees him as an older sibling to the kid tamer. Each mode acts differently with the child. Like Child Lucemon is over affectionate, Lucemon FM loves the kid but is to prideful to admit it to anyone, and Lucemon Dragon mode is like way to overprotective over the child and won't let anyone touch the kid.
Lucemon taking care of a kid Tamer that sees him as an older sibling
Lucemon
Lucemon can get a little clingy to those that he enjoys, and of course he's going to enjoy the presence of his Tamer. So a lot of the time, the two are practically glued at the hip with how much Lucemon follows them around.
Now, of course, for as much of a child as he looks, he's clearly more than he gives off as he's both incredibly smart, and powerful. But he certainly take the 'child-like' mantle with his Tamer so that they get along much better and easier since he doesn't want his Tamer to think bad of him
Lucemon FM
Of course, being how Lucemon is, he's rather the prideful being. He clearly cares for his dear child Tamer, but he tries to avoid actually saying it out loud. He prefers actions more than words anyway, finding it a better way for him, especially since his Tamer finds him to be rather the coolest of beings because, well, that's their older brother!
Honestly, it fills Lucemon to the brim with a pride when his little kid Tamer gushes about him to other Tamers or even Digimon. It's clear that, as a Demon Lord, he's incredibly strong, the strongest of the group really. But it still puts a little smirk on his face whenever he hears his Tamer going on and on. It usually earns a soft moment where Lucemon ruffles the hair of his kid Tamer afterwards
Lucemon SM
Did someone saaaaayy... Protective?? Overprotective??? That's this mode of Lucemon. So much so, that he hardly lets the little Tamer out of his sight, along with hardly letting anyone get close to his Tamer, always snarling and growling low when someone approaches.
It can be a bit much, considering one can see a small Tamer, and want to talk with them, only to notice the MASSIVE dragon-like Demon Lord staring them down (or at least they FEEL like they're being stared down) as he begins to snarl. He tries to let his Tamer have friends... but also, he should be their only friend... it's a bit of a tough one for him.
I think a lot about Lucemon from Digimon World Re:digitize: Decoded and Digimon World: Next Order because neither are technically evil, at least not intentionally.
Spoilers, if you haven't checked out the games, I guess?
Decoded Lucemon is pretty much a little kid that got seperated by it's gaurdian and friend angemon and kidnapped by Barbamon (most likely the very same one you confront with Rina in Cyber Sleuth, yep...). Lucemon, along with several other unfortunate digimon, was tortured and experimented by Barabamon and left for dead calling for help in a bolted prison cell until the protagonist breaks it open only to see him succum to his injuries. This results in the child Lucemon's digicore being overcome by malice and turning to Falldown Mode. Barbamon adds insult to injury by continuing to brainwash Lucemon FM to the point where he's become a mindless killing machine. Eventually, it digivolves into Lucemon SM and almost destroys both the digital world and the real world. After it's defeated, Lucemon's (rookie/child level) spirit thanks you for stopping it, says that everything should return to normal on its own, and the spirit returns home. Needless to say, Lucemon's circumstances in De:code is kinda horrifying and Barbamon is the worst.
And then there is -Next 0rder-'s Lucemon who is arguably the most chill Lucemon so far (both figuratively and literally, you meet him in an ice dungeon during post-game content). Many, if not all, of the digimon who were initially introduced in Digimon lore and animes as villains are a lot more laid-back and sometimes down right friendly in-game and some don't need to fight you in order for them to become your ally (It's kinda refreshing, really). The Lucemon here is no different, and in-fact takes a very unique interest in the protagonist, first approching you as a rookie to tell you that they've been watching you since the begining of your journey, and then challenging you in FM and later SM, albiet asking the player some philisophical questions over "what defines good and evil" to either test, startle, or just confuse the protag. Once the fighting is done Lucemon confirms that it's not the protagonist's strength that defines them as a force of good but rather the their perserverence and conviction. They also start talking in a more casual tone with you and join the city where you've been recruiting a whole bunch of other digimon to live in. They also help you out in a DLC quest with Beezlebumon, which is pretty neat!
Can't rememer if this is correct but I believe Next 0rder Lucemon also keeps track of your in-game movements. From wins and loses, money earned, traversed areas?, etc.
Well damn I just learned about this so why not participate.
My favourite characters are all the classic leader types Tai, Davis, Takuya and probably Taiki and Tagiru if I ever watched Xros Wars I just love me a pure-hearted good boy with 0 brain cells.
My favourite season is Frontier!! I actually just started rewatching it and it’s been super fun (currently at ep 35) I love the relationships in this season and especially Takuya and Tommy's not-actually-brothers brother bond is making me SOFT. And I've always LOVED the evolution theme and animation in frontier it just looks so goddamn epic. I really hope we will get aged-up frontier kids at some point they deserve it. Give me a new frontier movie.
I have lots of favourite Digimon but probably my top 3 favs are Lucemon SM, Kaisergreymon and Hisyaryumon.
Btw a fun fact about me is that August 1st is also my bday lol
As for OCs I'm currently working on a digimon fancomic! I have one chapter completed but haven't started posting anything yet.
Here's the main character:
His name is Tarik and ofc he will be a very classic leader boy (but without goggles) his partner is Gazimon!
on the topic of rearise anyways - i find it really funny but the game seems to want me to have all the demon lords or at least be on my way to collecting them
as of right now i have deft barbamon, deft belphemon rm, calm beelzebumon-line, deft (i think) lucemon sm-line, and deft leviamon line
that’s five out of the seven???
not to mention that i got two of the barbamon line digimon way back when it was the ulforcev-dramon banner (and no ulforcev-dramon, i had to get my ulforce from the rearise banner - also how i got my tenacious magnamon, so now i have both brave and tenacious magnamon)
I’m FINALLY about to finish this freaking game, so I figured I may as well show off the team I’m about to save the world with:
-We’ve got a Lucemon SM named, uhm... Satan. I’d originally planned to name him “Literally Satan,” but that was too many letters, so it’s just “Satan.”
-A Kerpymon named Cherubi. This guy actually digivolved from the same Terriermon I chose as my starter (and was also the whole reason I chose Terriermon in the first place).
-A Belphemon SM named Baphy. Possibly the cutest Digimon in the universe???
-An Omnimon named Varen. I like a good two-for-one deal.
-A VenomMyotismon named Lucien. I wish he still shot swarms of bats at things, but he’s cool.
-A Beelzemon named Bane. Just edgy enough 4 me.
-A Leopardmon LM named Rapier. He’s an alright kitty; definitely less murdery than that OTHER Leopardmon.
-An Examon named Excaliber. Or, shit, maybe I should change his name to Odahviing... Eh, whatever, it’s fine.
-A Lilithmon named Vesper. Of course I had to have a sexy demon lady with bat wings and a bat tattoo.
-A Magnadramon named Auriel. Hey, how fucked up is it that I’ve got an evolution of Gatomon on the same team as VenomMyotismon?
-A Diablomon (not even gonna bother using the dub name) named Apocalypse. Keramon’s my favourite Digimon, so this is my most special boy (he might nuke the world some day, but I’ll still be proud of him).
Just, uhh, pay no attention to the fact that I’m paling around with four of the Seven Great Demon Lords, and two other Digimon that are basically also Satan. It’s nothing to worry about at all, I’m sure.
