Hello everyone and welcome to the end of the week! Am I glad it’s Friday? 😅 Yes. The answer is YES 😂 Here’s the second part of my book haul that I picked up when @keeperofpages and I went book shopping before Christmas. I loved Maggie Shipstead’s novel Great Circle when I read it last year so was delighted to come across this, her short story collection, You Have A Friend In 10A. “Diving into eclectic and vivid settings, from an Olympic village to a deathbed in Paris to a Pacific atoll, and illuminating a cast of unforgettable characters, Shipstead traverses the ordinary and extraordinary with cunning, compassion and wit.” Next up, My Soul Twin. This was a must buy as @keeperofpages and I read and loved The Eighth Life. We’re going to be reading this as a buddy read together. It’s described as “a modern day Wuthering Heights - two families, one devastating secret, and an epic story of forbidden love.” Finally, Our Share Of Night which I have already read as a buddy read with @keeperofpages and absolutely loved. A review will be coming (at some point 😂) but it was a 5 star read for both of us! I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Let’s have a chat in the comments! #bookstagramuk #scottishbookstagrammer #ohlookmorebooks #bookhaulofdreams #bookshoppingwithmyfavorites #youhaveafriendin10a #maggieshipstead #ourshareofnight #marianaenríquez #translatedbooks📚 #buddyreadswithjanel #lovingbookslovinglife #insatiablebookworm https://www.instagram.com/p/CpVnGvFLRwN/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello everyone and good morning from the UK 🇬🇧 Today I’ll be joining in with #boycottinstagram2022 and won’t be opening the app from 9am until midnight. I’ll be using this time to read and not be distracted by my phone! 😂 Here’s a book haul until I return. Oh the things I’ve heard about A Certain Hunger! Dorothy Daniels has always had a voracious and adventurous appetite. Dorothy has never been shy about indulging her exquisite tastes - even when it leads to her plunging an ice pick into her lover’s neck. 😳 Next up, another addition to my British Library Tales Of The Weird. It’s called Our Haunted Shores, Tales From The Coasts of the British Isles. This includes stories of woeful shipwreck, lighthouse terrors and uncanny revenants amid the bustle of the harbour side. Finally, Us Three which I was given to read by a friend. I’m COMPLETELY cover judging and it doesn’t normally look like the kind of book I’d pick up but I’m going to give it a chance! It’s the story of three girls, best friends since childhood who swore on a Curly Wurly wrapper that they’d always be there for each other. Something happens that shakes their friendship to the core leaving their future in doubt. There’s simply too much to forgive, let alone forget. I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Let’s have a chat in the comments! Have a lovely week everyone! 🤗😘 #bookstagram #bookhoarder #bookobsessed #bookloverforlife #acertainhunger #chelseagsummers #britishlibrarytalesoftheweird #ourhauntedshorestalesfromthecoastsofthebritishisles #usthree #ruthjones #yesmorebooks #moreforthetbrpile #lovingbookslovinglife #myhouseisfullofbooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CgtUM1VrYj8/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new week! While I melt in 37 degree C weather in the UK 🇬🇧 it’s that time again - book haul time! Insatiable was a complete cover buy, I admit it. Funnily enough, I love books with fruit on the cover, anyone else? It’s about women and desire lust, longing and the need to be loved. It is a story about being unable to tell whether you are running towards your future or simply running away from your past. The result is at once tender and sad, funny and hopeful. I’m a big Murakami fan so already had his latest short story collection, First Person Singular pre-ordered. From nostalgic memories of youth, meditations on music and an ardent love of baseball to dreamlike scenarios, an encounter with a talking monkey and invented jazz albums, together these stories challenge the boundaries between our minds and the exterior world. Finally, The Way We Live Now by Anthony Trollope. I’ll be reading this with a fabulous group of bookworms and it’s my very first book by the author. This novel is usually thought of as a work of satire but is better described as his most substantial exploration of a form of crime fiction where the crimes are both literal and moral. I’d love to know your thoughts on any of these books or authors. Let’s have a chat in the comments and have a lovely week everyone! 🤗😘 #bookstagram #scottishbookstagrammer #readingtheclassics #classicnovels #bookhaul #insatiable #daisybuchanan #firstpersonsingular #harukimurakami #shortstorycollection #thewaywelivenow #anthonytrollope #booksineedtoread #morebooksplease📚 #lovingbookslovinglife https://www.instagram.com/p/CgKVQdhL_qW/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Good evening from the UK 🇬🇧 everyone and hope you’re all doing okay. Today I thought I’d join in with the #bookstagramtag which I saw on the lovely @tillylovesbooks page. Here we go! When did you start your bookstagram? 18th August 2015 according to IG! Why did you start a bookstagram? To be honest it was probably because I missed the wonderful community and the interactions with bookish folk but didn’t want the pressure of blogging. I’m really glad I carried it on! What inspired your user name? It’s the name I used for my blog, I wanted a bookish reference and bibliobeth seemed to go together quite nicely ☺️ What was the first review you ever posted? Oh dear, I dread to think! On my blog it was Boy by Roald Dahl. Favourite part of bookstagram Easy peasy - the people. I’ve made friends for life, had unforgettable buddy reads and heard about books that I wouldn’t usually come across. Bookstagram made me buy… EVERYTHING. And I’m not joking 🤣 What is your favourite bookstagram tag? Probably obvious to those who know me well but easily #bookhaul it’s my most used anyway 🙈 What is your bookstagram aesthetic? Here’s where I get a bit embarrassed - I don’t really have one! 🫢 I use my tub chair for hauls as it’s a pretty material, I love using candles and plants and try to take pics outside wherever possible. I see so many amazing bookstagrammers doing incredible things but I don’t think I have the creativity or the patience, what you see is what you get with me! 🤷🏼‍♀️ Recent faves? The Sea Of Tranquility, The Book Of Form and Emptiness, the Heartstopper series, The One Hundred Years Of Lenni and Margot 😍 I’m not sure which of my fellow bookstagrammers have done this tag already so if you fancy it, consider yourself tagged! Let’s have a chat about everything and anything in the comments 👇🏻😊 #bookstagram #mybookstagram #lovingbookslovinglife #bookstagramchallenges #bookstagramlove #mybookshelves #bookstagramcommunity #bookishfolkarethebest #booksaremylife #booksaretherapy https://www.instagram.com/p/Ce1bs6NLpn5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Hello everyone and happy #stacksaturday to you all! Today I’m hopping on the #authornames stack inspired by the lovely @smeets_x I realised I’ve got quite a few recurring names in my collection so this post is probably going to be one of many! 😂 Today we’re celebrating all the four different Adams in my collection. I’ve read and loved They Both Die At The End but the other three are on my TBR. Is Adam a common author name on your stack? Let me know!
