I have another hard day today but I put this on bc I know if I need the encouragement I can always look down at my sleeves as a reminder. This story means so much to me. Imo it’s one of the most well-written pieces on overcoming trauma in YA/NA fantasy, and I’m so proud of my girl Nesta. I find it ridiculous that there are people who still just see her as a bitch, especially because I can relate to having worn that kind of cold persona myself. I reread this series when I need comfort, when my anxiety is so bad I can’t stomach anything new, but there’s something about ACOSF in particular that just feels like home. This is my found family and I will be a Nessian simp for the rest of my days.
