life is so hectic lately that there hasn't been much outside activity, much to her dismay, and that is what makes this so special. they're both free for the day and he ( as always ) falls victim to her puppy dog eyes, sacrificing the small comfort of their warm apartment for the scorching heat of a summertime stroll to the park.

so mae leads him by the hand down the blazing sidewalk, pointing out dogs, interesting flowers and weeds, cute outfits — whatever her dog mind finds in the excitement of being outside and away from the stresses that had been bogging their lives down lately.

eventually the stream of consciousness is interrupted by the sight of an ice cream stand set up at very edge of the park. it's swarmed, of course, but that has never stopped mae. it does stop ben. she doesn't even try convincing him to brave the fight with her, just leaves him parked under a shady tree while she dives into the crowd. when she reemerges, hands high above her head and only slightly disheveled, there's a triumphant grin on her face.

they eat in silence ( mostly — she can't seem to manage it for too long and even he cuts through with comments about some of the people's apparently ravenous need for ice cream ) and watch the people come and go, a light breeze swirling through the trees all around them. ben finishes quicker than her and waits to toss his little napkin, watching her nibble at the waffle cone without a single sign of hurrying.

where she anticipates him to be impatient and annoyed with her slowness, she's surprised that he suddenly moves in front of her and takes her face in his hands. for a second she thinks he's just being sweet and weird, as always, or even just looking for a way to sneakily slip away her cone. instead his thumb starts aggressively rubbing at a sticky spot on the soft part of her cheek, right next to her mouth.

which would be really sweet if he weren't so rough! she whines and half-heartedly leans away, but he's done by the time she actually makes any effort, hands turning gentle and holding again. she chomps down the rest of her cone and smiles big ( as she can with her mouth closed and full, that is ) before leaning up onto her toes and planting a big, sticky kiss onto his cheek.

and then another and another and another, not stopping until he pushes her back onto her heels and snatches the napkin from her hand, stalking off while she cackles after him.

So I originally tossed around an actual cute, happy "look at my new outfit, babe!" sort of fic. I really did want it to be sweet. But then I got horny instead and thought about cute little subby sub Cullen because it's my weakness.

I write in little pieces and then eventually glue them back together, so here's some misc stuff I have written down for this so far. No actual smut (or what I would personally count as smut? my scale is a little off...) just general light dom/sub dynamics.

noblewomen monster girls with an eye trained on humans !! she’s cautious around rosid to some degree, only because part of her is on fire, and plants don’t tend to mix well with fire in the mix... but vinh definitely believes that rosid deserving of her respect. her drive and dedication to becoming her own ideal is commendable! she seems like a capable person, so vinh doesn’t feel as inclined to keep an eye on rosid — but she’d certainly be honored to be of assistance to such a sharp young lady! besides, she’s under the care and tutelage of lilia, she’ll be perfectly fine. for the most part. ...hm. actually, on second thought, maybe she should check on rosid.

1 -> sarge + rosid

a boy who seems inhuman and the girl trying to be a human — what fun! sarge finds rosid to be a very mystifying person and would definitely poke at her sometimes just to satiate his curiosity. she is most certainly beautiful to him, and her origins make her even more interesting! he’s never met anybody quite like her, so he definitely would be observing her behavior and the likes ! i feel that he’d accidentally squick her out if she picks up on him picking her apart — what’s he scrutinizing her so closely for? the answer really is just fascination. an outsider looking in at an outsider! he definitely doesn’t think he’s the best person to offer tips on how to be human, but he definitely picks people apart enough through his own observations to have a pretty good guess of where to go!

1 -> lola + rosid

she’s a plant that came to life? okay! lola takes rosid in stride, and doesn’t think anything strange of her? lola adores rosid, she finds her very cute! so tiny but so sharp! plus she gets so tired of being stuck around rowdy boys, so having a prim and proper rose gal around campus? godsend 😭 the rose is metal as fuck and her outfit? lola respects anybody who breaks standard uniform rules. lola pays absolutely no mind to their completely different personalities / mannerisms, she just does as she always does when she sees a girl and wants to be her friend ! sunshine girl to the rose girl — she’s a god awful influence, but i’m sure rosid can manage 💪

2 -> vinh + rosid

in general, the best way to get close to vinh is by asking her for help! or just, sticking around her, really. if rosid has any questions for proper lady’s conduct, or just. needs some help from another ancient being that isn’t lilia, vinh’s a good choice! i see it as a pretty formal friendship starting off, but vinh loosens up once she gets used to rosid’s presence! two elegant ladies but with... considerably strange circumstances, may they bond over their own strange grievances and turmoils with a cup of tea ! a toast, to observing humanity!

2 -> sarge + rosid

in all honesty, it’s not hard to befriend sarge because he’s so open — but the hardest part is finding sarge, and well. sometimes its just figuring out how to get along with sarge. luckily, rosid already caught his eye and chances are that he’s made himself easier to find for her! she could easily befriend him by asking him for help with her potions and poisons. he’d be plenty happy to test her more lethal ones’ effectiveness too ! downs her potions and gives her directions to go with them if he sees fit, or simply reports the effects to her if that’s what she’s after! other than that, he’d be happy to lend her some pointers in behaving ‘properly’ or ‘human-like’ as he too, spends a good chunk of his time observing and studying them.

2 -> lola + rosid

all rosid needs to do is say her name and lola’s already around the corner !! she loves chatting up and befriending people ! if rosid were to suggest going out shopping or out to town then lola’s ears are already pricked, she’d love to go anywhere for fun with rosid ! rosid wants to go observe people? lola knows the best places with the best people, granted — they’re not the most prim and proper sometimes, but they’re definitely human! usually! lola’s a people person and she’s gonna show her all these people !!! all in all, the only thing that really has to happen is rosid says she wants to do something, otherwise lola’s just gonna seat herself on down next to rosid and talk to her just because.
