is there a way you read bruno and leones voices in your head besides their canon voices? i hear leones as groggy and depressed while brunos is a more masculine version of liane cartman lole
LIANE CARTMAN? 😭😭😭😭😭HJAHSJ
And yes I do! Well, kind-of! Allow me to burden you all with more of my headcanons 😎 I might have mentioned this before but I like to imagine Leone uses more slang than Bruno, while Bruno has a more basic/plain way of speaking
And while leone curses like a sailor, bruno barely curses at all 😭
Though people think its some how more intimidating that he speaks like this, especially abbacchio LOL....totally not me projecting my love of Gustavo Fring ilinto Bruno...
But I also like to think Brunos dad never really swore so Bruno simply doesn't.
Bruno explains it to abbacchio after he points out that he never really heard Bruno curse and he's like:
"Yeah I never heard my dad talk like that....so I guess I just never did. 🤔"
Abbacchio: "oh for sure.... "
Tumblr media
Sorry for basing my headcanons after English dub Bruno I think he sounds so cute 😔😔 and im pretty sure he swore like four times tops
He called second walnut head.....he's so silly.....I love him so much 💔

I don't want to be mean but I'm just here loling at the Sharks-Oilers PGT thread that has over 2,000 comments from fans of 31 other teams. The cherry on top is that the Oilers Twitter admin turned the final score tweet in a reply format 😭 Tbh they shouldn't have declared "cup or bust" in the offseason, it never ends well
It's rough because to an extent it is funny and I did laugh but also I'm just sad. I remember the yotes doing this, hels they might do it again, and everyone used it as another excuse to shit on the fan base and team, but the oilers are different. They're in Canada, they have stable ownership, they have Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, they've had 10 or 11 top 10 first round draft picks in the last like decade, they should not be struggling as much as they are and it's hard to watch but it's hilarious as a person not invested in the team. As a fan of a smaller market team like the coyotes it's validating and it proves that the sport is hard and managing the teams are hard, but the Penguins fan in me sees this and wants to laugh purely because of the first overall draft pick nonsense of the Connor McDavid versus Sidney Crosby narrative that they keep pushing.
But yeah after cup or bust is never a good ultimatum to have. I don't expect all of their management or staff to still be there in a day or two I definitely expect some changes but it's going to be fun watching shit get torn down for everyone involved except for oilers fans who have to deal with this for another 5 years

Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down (1989) Pedro Almodovar
20-08-2019
A very unconventional love story. The production and acting were great, and the story was engaging and unpredictable, although the ending left a sour taste

365 Day Movie Challenge (2019) - #140: Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! (1990) - dir. Pedro Almodóvar
My introduction to the films of Pedro Almodóvar (whose 70th birthday is today!) via the Criterion Channel app began last month with his comedy Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and continued with the dark, literally twisted dramedy Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!. Once again I am drawn to his uniquely unconventional views of relationships, challenging his viewers’ perceptions of whether or not such interactions can be seen as “normal.” Moreover, like Breakdown, Tie is another of several pairings between Almodóvar and two of his favorite actors, Antonio Banderas and Victoria Abril, and the film definitely would not work as well without their chemistry.
Banderas plays Ricky, a young man who is released from a mental health facility after one of his many extended stays. Upon being released, his first and only order of business is to track down an ex-porn star, Marina Osorio (Abril), who is wrapping up production on her scenes in a horror B-movie. After a brief chat on set in which Marina rebuffs Ricky’s advances, he follows her home, pushes his way into her apartment and proceeds to hold her hostage. Ricky is intent on making Marina fall in love with him, willing to do whatever it takes to prove his worth... provided that the services don’t require her to leave his side. Their cat-and-mouse game of fights, negotiations and eventually sex bears the obvious signs of Stockholm syndrome - Marina becomes worn down by her trauma to the point that she sympathizes with Ricky’s own woes and his apparently sincere feelings for her - but is this actually a love story that defies extreme odds or is Almodóvar poking fun at the conventions of modern (perhaps heterosexual in particular) romance? Whatever the answer, the ambiguity is spellbinding. Additionally, the cast features Loles León, Francisco Rabal, Rossy de Palma, Julieta Serrano and María Barranco in entertaining supporting roles.
Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! has the distinguishing note of being one of Almodóvar’s four films deemed NC-17 for American theaters, the others being Matador (1986), Law of Desire (1987) and Bad Education (2004). I could believe that Ricky and Marina’s sex scene would be the main factor in the MPAA’s decision, but I’ve also heard that the more “shocking” scene back in 1990 was the moment early in the film where we see Marina masturbate in a bathtub with the use of a plastic wind-up toy. I’m not sure whether the ratings committee was compelled to make their call because of an objection to female masturbation (if only they’d known that The Shape of Water would end up winning Best Picture, amirite?) or if rules were tougher on Almodóvar’s films as the work of an openly gay filmmaker, but either way, Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down! is a fascinating study of human connection.
