i. “Do you really need a suit?” Jonathan had meant it as a joke, not really believing she’d agree so easily. Or at all. Jennifer was an adventurous one, but she drew the line at outright exhibitionism. He thought. 

“I will if you will.” She said, and stepped out of her bikini bottoms. With a flick of her ankle, they hit him square in the face.

“Well?” She asked with a haughtily raised brow, already wrapped in the hotel robe. Jonathan was still on one foot, struggling with his trunks, when she sailed out the door. “Catch me if you can.”

ii. Jennifer was in the water by the time Jonathan made it to the hot tub. He’d obviously stopped for supplies, if the ice bucket was any indication. 

“Come on in, the water’s fine.” She invited, then whistled low when he dropped his robe to step into the water. The water was already roiling and obscuring her, so Jennifer rose above the surface to give him a little peak. She gasped and her nipples tightened in the cool air.

When Jonathan flushed a little, Jennifer giggled and eased closer to him, twining their fingers. 

God, how she loved this beautiful man.

a/n: not really an author's note, I just wanted to say i love my boy mike wheeler

You and Mike Wheeler were the couple that no one understood

Like, you were you

And he was Mike (soft boi™)

Polar opposites

you had a bad girl reputation

You weren't a bad kid

You had great grades,

and you had friends, 

and adults loved you

But among your peers you were a total badass

(see: female richie tozier minus the inappropriate jokes)

You definitely rocked ripped jeans and denim jackets and bomber jackets and aviators and you were always chewing gum

You were also quite a dude magnet but you were never really interested

You were friends with Max almost immediately after she moved to Hawkins

Because let's face it

People were kind of intimidated by you because of your bad bitch exterior

You were not a force to be reckoned with

So you only had a few close friends who had broken the seal that was your outside

Max, however, was drawn to you

Because you were the most interesting person she had seen in almost a month of living in Hawkins

And you found out after meeting her outside that arcade that you both had shit brothers

(which was part of the reason both of you were so intense and hard exterior-ed)

It wasn't only Max who was drawn to you though

A specific Dungeons and Dragons playing group of four boys found you quite intriguing

SO intriguing that they took to watching you and Max almost everywhere you went

Because they never had the courage to actually talk to either you

Admiring from a distance was so much better

The group had been split down the middle

Dustin and Lucas took to watching (and fighting) over Max

While Mike took to watching you

Because you were so pretty and so badass and he didn't understand why he couldn't just go up to you and talk to you

This was harder than fighting the demogorgon

(will, soft boi™ 2, just wanted to be friends, so he tagged along on his friends stalking expeditions)

You and Max knew about all of this

(Minus the whole crushes thing)

Because they were not very good at being stealthy

You just figured they were strange, teenage boys

So one day, you caught them staring at you while you and Max were at the arcade

And one part of you wanted to go up to them and ask what they wanted

But that plan was foiled as you met eyes with a really cute curly headed boy

Who, by the way, hadn't stopped staring at you

Even after he was caught

So, you pulled Max away from her Dig Dug game and dragged her over to the group

Who were now pretending to be doing something other than staring at the two of you

“So, are you guys ever going to talk to us or is this some kind of really intense staring contest?”

They were shook by your bluntness

And they didn't really know what to say

So you continued

“Mike, right? You’re in my english class”.

He was shook

You knew his name

You, the ripped jean, hardass exterior girl who had barely ever said a word to him knew. His. name.

And then Lucas (pulling him out of his daze)  brought up how they were all confused at how you and Max were constantly beating their arcade game scores

And that's why they were always watching you

(pretty shitty excuse if you ask me)

And that was the first time you had actually talked to any of the boys

Mike was never really fond of Max at first because he found it annoying how often Lucas and Dustin were talking about him when all he wanted to talk about was you

Like c’mon guys Y/N is pretty cool right?

And then when Lucas and Dustin invited Max trick or treating you tagged along

And you spent the entire night talking and laughing with Mike while Dustin and Lucas argued behind Max's back

(Don't worry, you also talked to Will he wasn't alone)

And that's when Mike realized that you were actually really easy to talk to

And really, really pretty

And eventually you tagged along with Max on all of their adventures

you and Mike became attached at the hip

like you did everything together

best friends 100%

Like Lucas did for Max, Mike definitely would've told you everything about eleven and the mind flayer after him accidentally bringing it up

You and Will most definitely became best friends because you both loved old rock music (that’s why Jonathan always liked having you over)

Once you became a part of the party, Troy and James stayed the hell away

Because you would not hesitate to tell them to s h o v e i t

you were the bravest of the group

(if max hadn't won the coin toss you would've been the one driving the car to the hospital with Steve in the back)

but you were also the most caring

would most definitely listen to Max as she complained about her brother

and listen to dustin and Lucas as they complained about max

and listen to will talk about how scared he was

and listen to Mike as he talked about Eleven

When the Snowball rolled around you all decided to go as a group

When you and Max rolled up they were (Another shook coming up btw)

You had ditched your jeans and bomber jacket and adidas sweaters for actual dresses and heels

Actually scratch that

YOU wore a dress, max just wore a sweater and pants but

Still

And you sat beside Mike and you could see him staring and you were kind of hyperventilating

(Just imagine Jake from b99 saying “cool” repeatedly)

Because after all the time you had spent together you had most definitely developed a crush on him

And you sorta knew he liked you too

His friends made it painfully obvious

According to Lucas he was just “really good at flirting but not showing it”

And then Will got asked to dance

And then Lucas FINALLY grew a pair and asked Max to dance

And then Dustin went off

Leaving you and Mike

And it was most definitely awkward for at least thirty seconds, because you both sort of knew what was coming

“Y/N?”

“Yeah, Mike?”

“Wanna dance?”

And yes you did

So, here you were

Dancing in the middle of a crowded gym with Mike Wheeler

He was 100% surprised you had actually said yes because of all the times you said you thought school dances were stupid

“I hate this song”

“Of course you do”

(the rest of the losers were completely shocked that you had said yes to him too, not gonna lie)

And after a few seconds of swaying to the beat and having a few shared laughs he goes all serious

And he kinda just really awkwardly admits that he liked you

“Going soft on me, Wheeler?”

And then you later found out that Lucas and Max were dating

You guys became the parties power couples

Now the two girl badasses of the group had boyfriends

Double dates all the time

Arcade dates when you two were alone

He would most definitely try to teach you Dungeons and Dragons

And to keep up your bad girl exterior you told people you didn't know how to play

But oh yes you did

And you tried to teach him to skateboard

It did not work

Sleepovers and movie nights either alone or with the entire party

If Troy EVER bugged Mike, or any of the party members, you would not hesitate (Max wouldn't either, she had a new found confidence after you)

On the other hand, if anyone ever bugged you, Mike was down to throw hands

After you started dating him the party talked about how soft he had made you

Which wasn't necessarily true

You still skateboarded around town with Max, flipping off bullies in your jeans and black boots and aviators

But you also spent late nights in pyjamas talking to your boyfriend

Because even though you two were complete opposites, it worked so well

final a/n: I haven't written/watched Stranger Things in what feels like forever (yes yes I just posted for Steve but I already had that written lol) and I think I need to get back into it because this is definitely not my best oml but I hope you guys like it
