A Few Thoughts on Alastor in Ep 5

-o-o-o-As a warning, spoilers ahead.-o-o-o-

Something I noticed, and it really hit home here in Episode 5, but is it just me, or is Alastor more tolerant/kinder to women over men? It's very clear and detailed throughout the episode and a bit prior to the series' official release.

Alastor has problems with Lucifer right off the bat and becomes outright antagonistic. We know that Lucifer has problems and that there's strain in his relationship with Charlie. She explains part of it to the rest of the cast, except Alastor isn't there to hear it. In fact, he noticeably comes into things a little bit later, as the cast is prepping for Lucifer's visit.

Now, one could easily say that he's possible gleeful at the thought of stirring up trouble, but I don't think that's the case at all. In the latter pic Alastor looks more agitated. His smile is more of a sneer, with that slight curl to his lips and the narrowing gaze. This agitation is even more apparent when Lucifer arrives.

It's a very different look from his usual smile, and afterwards the back and forth and Alastor finally saying 'Fuck you.' to Lucifer's face is said in such a tone of disdain, Alastor has a problem with Lucifer.

Now in their duet, Alastor is clearly trying to get under Lucifer's skin. He can see that there's cracks and strains in their relationship and prods at them to get at Lucifer. He's cozying up to Charlie and hitting where it hurts. But events afterwards brings up the question of whether or not there might be a part of him that might care on some level. Maybe not in a typical way, but it might still be there.

It's after Mimzy's arrival that we start to see different sides to Alastor. With the way he speaks and behaves with Mimsy, it feels like he has a friendship with her. She even refers to how Alastor likes to take care of her. It's a side of Alastor that we really haven't seen so far, there's a genuine feel in how he interacts with Mimzy. And even when he asks her to leave. He makes the point about her bringing danger and him protecting the hotel. Mimzy calls him out about how he can't possibly actually care. Up to this point, Alastor has made references to his own agenda and being their solely for his own amusement and enjoying to watch people fail. But that wasn't said here, to Mimzy who knows him on a more personal level. It's not something he'd really have to hide from her because she seems to know what he's about. But he makes no reference to anything like that this time. Alastor even mentions to Mimzy that if she's actually looking to try for redemption she'd be allowed to stay but knowing that's not 'her style', he insists she leaves.

After Alastor's prior interaction with Husker, we're reminded that Alastor can be vicious when he feels insulted. Mimzy then insults him to his face. She's very comfortable around him, even after him displaying how dangerous he actually is against the Loan Sharks.

As of writing this when episodes 5 and 6 were released, this appears to be a pattern. It's especially more noticeable when you have characters like Adam, especially with him appearing in episode 6. Alastor seems to at least have more patience or (for lack of a better word) care with women most of the time.

I remember a comic called 'A Day in the Afterlife' where this was also a noticeable detail.

I know there's a theory that Alastor has a connection with Lilith, and I support it as well. I am looking forward to seeing more and just what that connection is.

There is something very strange going on with Lilth. We already know what she looks like:

There's no attempts to hide these old family photos. But in the second musical number, Lilith is shown like this:

If Alastor has connections with Lilith specifically, it could explain some of his immediate issues towards Lucifer. Especially if he considers Lucifer as the one at fault in their split.

Another little detail about Alastor and Lilith potentially having a connection with each other, is her talent for singing.

Music and Radio are very important to each other after all.

Hazbin Hotel Season 1 Episode 8 Spoilers!

Okay, I wanted to talk about Alastor and the Vs (mostly Vox). Plus Alastor “on a leash” and Lilith.

Well, we know the Vees are one of the weaker overlords, and they are strong because they work together. Alastor is one of the strongest overlords. What made him lose?

We also see in the song that Alastor is much more relaxed than Vox. That is his character, but Vox doesn’t look all proud that he beat him once either.

The Vees are very successful, even though they are not strong by themselves. I think there might be a stronger one that supports the Vees.

When Alastor and Vox had a fight, I think Alastor almost beat him but got interrupted by a higher being. And I think it might be Eve.

Eve hasn’t showed up in the series yet, even though she is a important character. We didn’t see her in heaven (yet), so she might be down in hell.

It might sound crazy, but I can’t really think of anyone else who could’ve interrupted and beat Alastor at that time.

The theory that Lilth owns Alastor’s soul is really popular, and I think if it’s true, she might’ve gave Alastor a hand after him being defeated by Eve.

And if so, then Lilith being in heaven might be because she is hiding away from Eve.

This really sounds like a nonsense, but well, it’s just a theory.

First full written post on this blog and it's a Harbin Hotel theory. I don't make written posts often tho. Onto it.

When Charlie was born, it upset Heaven. Greatly. Thus a deal was struck. Lilith and Adam specifically. In the intro scene we see Lilith’s silhouette her hair is swooped similar to Elsa in frozen post Let it Go, but when we see “Lilith” in the flashback during More than Anything her hair is straight. It’s more similar to Eve from the Papercut style intro.

I might go into this more later but this is the foundations of it. The first seed of a through line.

Alright I got theory. Hold on let me get my Theory hat on. -puts on dunce cap- there we go

Spoilers ahead for EP 8 of Hazbin:

So Lilith.

I really think her motivations are really simple:

SHE WANTS THE PARADISE SHE NEVER HAD.

Think about in garden of eve. She was control by Adam. She went with Lucifer because he offer a chance at heaven.

THEN LUCIFER GOT THROWN INTO HELL.

She tried to make hell great place and thrived down there. Then sinner started to pop up and made the place horrible.

So what does she do? She makes a deal with Adam. She gets to stay in her own Heaven and Adams gets to fuck over Lucifer and all of hell without anyone to run against him.

Then Charile starts trying help the sinner of hell. Whelp she scared of losing her personal heaven. She sents Alastor whom she probably made that deal with him to keep piece of mind to make sure no one fuck up her deal with heaven. That's why during their fight. Alastor staff breaks and he starts losing for no reasons. BECAUSE KILLING ADAM GOES AGAINST LILTH WISHES BECAUSE SHE WANTS HER DEAL TO REMAIN THE WAY IT IS. So, with Adam dead. She probably gonna do all in her power to stop charile.

ALL BECAUSE SHE WANTS WHAT SHE NEVER HAD:

PARADISE ALL FOR HER SELF.

I find it so interesting Husk tries to warn Alastor about the danger Mimzy brings everytime she shows up. An how he knows Alastor isn't as powerful as he wants people to believe, I.e the short lease.

What is super interesting about that is- we all know it's lilth- it's Charles mom and that's why he showed up to "help" Charlie all for his own gain. Now I wonder if- Alastor is the biggest person that needs to show a actual change. That will be I'm assuming the big end goal.

An it will take Alastor having to lose for him to change. This theory is based on nothing but it seems like it could be a big plot point. Charlie all about change and trust, Alastor breaks her trust and refuses to change which leads his own downfall.

going through my drafts and found this fun fan theory

ok i awhile ago i binged habzin hotel and i have thoughts about one of the major mysteries of the show.

who did alastor make a deal with? throughout the show alastor talks of making a deal and especially in the final episode trying to find a loophole within said deal.

i think the easy explanation is lilth it can't be a coincidence that she left hell and he went missing around the same time. the thing is why would lilth want to make a deal with any demon nevertheless alastor. and while these dates match up, alastor quickly taking over hell had to happen before he went missing(duh). i think alastor going missing around the time lilth left hell is important i just don't think its the deal in question. (perhaps deals within deals cause it should be note lute said that lilth's end of the deal is up)

there is also the nature of the deal itself. what exactly did alastor get out of it. i see some people saying that alastor has restrictions on his power because of the deal but to me alastor only has this great power because of his deal.

there should be no reason that alastor has the power he does without his deal. so who would be able to give it to him. i have an idea but the evidence is tenious at best. i think the person who struck the deal is zestial one of the oldest overlords of hell.

the “evidence”i have is the converstation zestial has with alastor. the converstation doesn't say much of note only restating the mystery around alastor's disapperance.

but alastor is visibly uncomfortable around zestial. he plays it off but everytime he doesn't answer a question it's as if he still differing to zestial. it could be that its just cause zestial is the oldest overlord but its not simply politeness. we all know alastor can be plenty rude to those above him on the pecking order i.e. lucifer. and honestly this deal idea could make zestial a hell of lot more interesting. i wonder if alastor fell for zestial’s general wise attitude and thought a deal with him wouldn’t backfire or that he could outsmart it. we know alastor is a big believer in his own intellect it’s not hard to imagine he signed a deal that was too good to be true but honking he could sneak his way out.

!!!! HAZBIN HOTEL SEASON ONE SPOILERS !!!!

( SOME of my ) season two theories because i am a madman with no more hazbin hotel content to consume ( will add on when i can :3 )

OKAY so hotel resident theories, i think cherri seems like she's the only side character to stay at the hotel, angel's invite and seeing the hotel herself, fighting for the hotel, even if she says it just for the thrill and her connection to sir pentious will all start to make her a great candidate.

Will sir pentious make waves in heaven? his lead in the fight against heaven and his boost in confidence could start a revolution in heaven, with emily, angel's sister molly and alastor's mother leading the charge alongside sir pentious. also i think the egg boys that died in the fight will go to heaven as chickens and meet back up with the him that is the best headcanon ever actually.

speaking of important background characters, they were shots of angels brother arackniss, and baxter, wonder if they'll have a role in season two?? maybe join the hotel???? oh my goshhh

the plot twist.. LILTHS DEAL... UMMM i have no thoughts on that y'all tbh i was disappointed lucifer and lilith weren't still married but lucifer's one liner about banging eve made that disappointed disappear 😭

but on the topic of heavenly plot twists, alastors deal!! i agree with the theory that alastor made a deal with an angel for sure, i've also seen the theory that deal was giving away his soul ( or something like that... ) for a promise that his mother would make it to heaven WHICH PULLS MY HEARTSTRINGS I LOVE THAT SO MUCH!!!!
