You know what I cannot tolerate on fiction, especially fantasy genre, anymore? Women’s trauma. It’s surprising that even in universes where Dragons exist, we still see women needing to fight to become a queen for the First time. Nothing against them, I am just saying I am over it. In this century moving forward, I am only interested in Liberation Stories. I am talking flawed, imperfect, lazy, normal stories. People not needing to be Exceptional to fight for spaces to just exist in. People thriving because in the land of fantasy atleast, we get to imagine regular people having there basic needs met because That is Natural. I want see more of #fleabag and #valerie and #piku on media. I want to see the quiet ones who struggle to speak up still being seen as assertive. I want to see quiet resistance and seeking help as powerful tools too. I need to see rest as resilient. I want to feel valid even when I have no fight left. I want to see us building an army to protect our true humanity. I want to see us rejecting the need to horde resources and be capable of sharing it all. I still like to believe that deep down we are nurturing souls capable of leading with love and care and if that means we have to fictionalise it first, then be it. I am tired of pretend niceties, I want to see Radical Kindness.
