House Madaras and its underbelly, the Serpent's Warren, is set up as a place for characters of more dubious alignments and persuasions to play; assassins, murderers, manipulative socialites, eccentric mages and so on! A place where very few things are off limits, and the darker things encouraged. We welcome people to play deviously, to use each others characters like pieces on a board and utilize the setting to its fullest.

As a heavy, 21+ RP group our intent is to give writers a well-crafted setting to explore the darker & maturer themes of FFXIV RP. We keep our setting grounded; we don't deal in over-powered characters here. But we do deal in consequences. We are a small and selective group with a zero policy for drama. Given the nature of our themes, we are quite strict and place great importance on communication and consent.

Syeira is a Blackmarrow by blood, grew up on the Blackmarrow ship, and (unfortunately) still shares the name. Rumors abound surrounding the Blackmarrow name. While these rumors can be heard anywhere, they would be more popular in Limsa among pirates and traders/merchants. Rumors might be anything from how many bastard children Nazir Blackmarrow has, to word of how he treated his women and children, how he conducted his business, and speculation of the many awful deeds he’s done that led to his imprisonment.

Mysterious Foreigner

There are plenty of local rumors in Thavnair, specifically around Radz-at-Han. Locals would likely have heard of Syeira, and those rumors may have even been whispered to visitors and tourists. She lived in Thavnair for 7 years as a citizen and spent 5 more in a Thavnairian prison for crimes that Nazir Blackmarrow committed. Rumors spread in which people raised questions about the young foreign dancer, some calling her a pirate’s daughter and others talking about how they heard she may have killed a Thavnairian guard. Her imprisonment was a very public event in Thavnair, so many rumors also swirled about what she, her pirate father, or the equally mysterious young man who visited her every so often had done.

Happy Hour - Bards & Bands Wanted

Hello, folks! It's been a while, so we wanted to give everyone a quick update about our Happy Hour events on the last Thursday of each month. We have decided to move away from the macro performance portion of the Happy Hour events for the time being, either permanently or until more new macro performers enter the community and our past performers become more available in their schedules. Rest assured, Happy Hour is here to stay. The events will continue and will be resuming soon! However, we are going to shift the focus away from the performance and musical aspect, and more toward casual, social RP tavern night events with a classy speakeasy vibe. Priarch Enterprises is a group of adventurers that specialize in investigating strange things, be it occult happenings to unusual artefacts.  It is not uncommon for jobs to be sent their way when the local constabulary or grand company can’t or won’t deal with whatever weird thing is going on.

OOC Information:

Priarch meets every Saturday night at 7 pm pacific time / 10 pm eastern time.  Meetups often run for 3 to 4 hours.

We are looking for two (2) full time players.  Players must be 21 years old or older as we do cover adult material, including violent combat, risque situations, and so on.  By applying you are agreeing you are that age or older.  Players must also be good with playing inside a medium-sized group.  Priarch when full is a 12 to 15 man group.  

Priarch is a mission roleplay company based through CWLS and not in an FC.  There is an FC on Mateus if you need one, but you DO NOT need to join the FC in order to take part in Priarch.  You just need to be able to join two linkshells and the discord.  We are extremely LGBTQIA+ friendly.

The missions are run as dice-rolled, dungeon-mastered adventures that follow a storyline.  There are social RPs between missions, so not every Saturday is a mission.  Sometimes it will be training, social events, or general meetings to exchange information and keep everyone up to date.  You will be required to make a character sheet for your character using the system we’ve devised for in-game mission RP.  Sometimes there are RPs throughout the week in smaller groups to fulfill a needed plot point or collect information, so some flexibility is nice.

We are interested in writing stories together, which means we do lean toward supporting the creative ideas people have. This does lead to some lore-bending and on the rare occasion breaking lore.  We do try to keep it so it makes sense in regards to the FFXIV world.  We will not be for you if you are a stickler about lore compliance.

The people currently in Priarch have been RPing together for a handful of years.  Priarch itself is in its 5th year of running.  So while this may be daunting to a new player, we will do what we can to help incorporate you into things, however you will need to be willing to meet us halfway in accomplishing that.  Help us help you.

We will be giving people who are interested a trial run to come RP with us as a group for the next few Saturdays, as this will give us time to get to know you and your character, and you to get to know us.  Compatibility and comfort within a group like this is important to us.  If at the end of the trial, all has gone well, Edarien or one of his siblings will present a contract of employment.

Inquisitors. My ideal is to find an Inquisitor who knows Mjara is suspicious. His first husband was rumored to be a heretical black mage, but died before any proper investigation could be conducted. I'd love to have some sort of cat-and-mouse relationship. Bickering/Bantering would be an immense plus.

Criminals. Mjara has ties to an organization called The Crown, a criminal syndicate that is centralized in Ishgard. Mjara is generally used as a "face" between members of the syndicate & civilians, so can be seen working in all facets of the underbelly of society. He specializes in information brokering & buying illegal/dangerous items. If anyone wants to be an active part of The Crown, I am definitely open to such relationships. Mjara has notable relationships to NPCs, including: cleaners and those who are assigned to him as "guards." He's also very familiar with the organization head. If you'd like to have your character know one of these NPCs, or be the NPC themselves-- I'm open to discussion!

Criminally-oriented Noble Ishgardian Houses If your character is part of a House in Ishgard that may be affiliated with The Crown, or have used Mjara's more illegal, discreet services, I'd love to discuss this as well!

Casual Acquaintances Since he's recently been "revamped/retconned," Mjara has virtually no social relationships. I'd like to change this! Though this could mean befriending him, this is quite hard to do. Frenemies/Enemies/Rivals are much more likely with him! But, I'm definitely not opposed to trying for a friendship.

Past/Present Patrons & Flings Mjara performs burlesque, and is rather good at it! Though he usually performs in Ul'dah, he does indeed do private performances for people in Ishgard. If you have a character that may have seen him perform (be it in Ishgard or Ul'dah), or would like to, hmu! Additionally, Mjara sleeps around pretty casually. If you'd like to have this be an established/future relationship (and maybe get some scandalous plotlines going), this is also something I'm open to!

Short Bio:

As a ward of the forest, Naivah assists travelers or injured people that may be stranded. Helping the wailers stop poachers and other various tasks that the shroud locals have. Where you may find her:

Forest Ward - As well as she knows the Shroud and as much as she lingers around areas where travelers or merchants can get lost (or ambushed) Naivah always keeps an eye out to help anyone that may need it. She will check the adventure guild for any postings of those needing a guide through the shroud to any other region.

Healing services - Whether it may be an emergency or something on the quest board, Naivah will offer her healing services whenever they may be needed. She has skill in both healing magicks and more traditional methods. She is always excited to use her healing salve.

Explorer - Her research tends to take her out of the city-states and far out into the world. Despite her past, she still enjoys exploring, no matter how dangerous a place may look. In fact, that may just encourage her to want to take a look more.

"I'm so sorry to bother you.. but I am lost.." rubbing her hand over her arm she lets out an awkward chuckle - a side effect of her visible injuries (mainly the one on her neck) is that her short-term memory is almost non-existent. It is very common for her to travel somewhere and not remember why she had gone to that place or quite often get lost and forget where she is.

A conjurer guild member that had healed Naivah on a recent occasion has expressed concern to the wood wailers about her comings and goings from the Sylphlands. "With burns like that, there cannot be anything good coming from there, Someone needs to stop her from going!"

LFRP - Faye Covington - Crystal DC

Hello! I am a long time FFXIV RPer looking for more RP for my main, Faye Covington (though I have a slew of alts we can have some fun with, as well), a noblewoman and mage hailing from the Twelveswood where she runs a teahouse which doubles as a front for an information brokering business. Ideally, I’d like to delve into the more exciting things–drama, mystery, intrigue, tension, conflict, combat, adventure, horror, DMed events, dark and mature stuff, storydriven RP and the like! In Game RP - I enjoy Discord RP sometimes, but I’d like to do some RP in game and establish a rapport for our characters there first! Long Term RP - I would like to RP with people who actively play the game and can create an ongoing story where we RP together every so often rather than one-and-done scenes. Para RP - My post length ranges from semi-para to multi-para usually. I would love to RP with folks who enjoy writing so I can flex my muscles a little! Lore Friendliness - I do enjoy FFXIV’s setting and how respecting it makes for a more cohesive story. So I don’t like breaking or disregarding the lore! But I do like to suspend disbelief a little and explore the bounds of what’s possible in this fantasy setting and have fun with things. If some lore bending or “unusual” characters aren’t your thing, please know all my characters have their oddities.

Perpetually trapped between a sense of idleness and reckless, impulsive abandon, Evander never met a bad idea he didn’t want to take out to dinner. He’s done his level best to leave a dark past behind, but he can’t help it if the air feels cooler and the light a little brighter when you’re standing in the shade. It used to be that every day broke with him begging the question “Just how bored do I wanna be?” Now, he can’t seem to catch a godsdamn break. That’s okay though, theft adventure keeps the ennui at bay.

Build: Evander has a swimmer’s physique: Long, lean, broad-shouldered and tapering to a narrow waist. Given his lifestyle, he might have trouble maintaining that as he gets older, but for now he’s gifted with a metabolism that lets him get away with precious little intentional maintenance.

Common Accessories: Far too many flasks; ignition keys and controls for various vehicles and small automata; his drone, Valencia; his dumb hat; a gold pendant in the shape of a swan, its neck crooked long; lockpicks; a multitool or three.

PERSONAL –––

Profession: Evander will admit to being a courier, a searcher, a seeker,  a finder or something along those lines. If you need something, he can track it down and get it from one place to another. He doesn’t think of himself as much of a fighter, but he’s growing more comfortable with bodyguard work. He’s also a picklock, a safecracker and a burglar, though he’s not as quick to advertise all that.

Hobbies: He loves being around people, and he loves indulging. As far as he’s concerned, drinking and eating count as hobbies. Left to his own devices, he’s a tinker,  an avid reader (particularly of romance novels, particularly the works of Quill Quivers [@worldofquillquivers​] and Summer Bellmayne [@thefreelanceangel​]), and often fond of especially stupid wagers, though straightforward gambling doesn't interest him as much.

Languages: He’s only fluent in Eorzean Common but he knows a smattering of Old Elezen and loves picking up bits and pieces of whatever he can along the way.

Residence: His Goblet apartment is under near-constant renovation. He’s got a room he rents from his Free Company, but it’s barely furnished aside from an astonishing array of liquor bottles, shipping crates and a huge canopy bed.

Patron Deity: He’s always personally felt a call toward Nymeia and Byregot, but feels its his duty to venerate Oschon, for some reason. He doesn’t much like to talk about it.

RP HOOKS –––

Contemptible Youth: Evander grew up amongst a gang of orphans in Limsa Lominsa. Were you a fellow Limsan wharf rat? Were you a criminal? Did you just spend a lot of time in the wrong parts of town? It’s been a while, but you might recognize him.

Easy Mark: Evander often finds it easier to fly under the radar and avoid notice. To this end, he often tries to exude an air of hapless gullibility. Feel free to try and rope him into some con or scheme!

Yeah, Okay: These are Evander’s words to live by. It’s not that he can’t say no, so much as he’s learned that “yes” is usually the more interesting answer. Catch him in the right mood, and he’s likely to go along with almost any hare-brained plan.

Old Habits Die Hard: A part of him yearns to live a good, decent, upright life. The problem is that part of him gets bored very quickly. Lately, he’s found himself increasingly likely to drawn to less-than-legal endeavors to keep himself occupied. 

People Person: Whether it’s meeting someone new, getting to know an old friend better, or even making a new rival, frenemy or worse, he just loves people at the end of the day. Don’t be shy. You don’t need an excuse. Just come say hi!
