The Traveler: Lolly is well-known to travel, and very rarely is kept to one place. She meets many different people upon her travels throughout the realm, and is partial to talking to many different people in the places she visits, to learn more about the culture and history of different places in which she's never visited.

Birds of a Feather: Lolly very rarely meets other Viera, and she typically seems to be one of few in the many places she goes. It can lend to feeling out-of-place. If you're a Viera, she'd love to hear all about where you're from and your background.

I'm good if you want to include NSFW, but Lolly is ace, and therefore sexual situations with Lolly is off the table. However, if you want to include it for yourself and another character, maybe an NPC or something, I am fine with that, so long as you don't expect to include my WoL. FFXIV, RP Role-Call!

It's been a hot minute since I've made a post consolidating my muses into one spot, and I've been wanting to get back into doing prompts and such so here goes!

As a bit of info about myself, I'm a longtime roleplayer (16+ years) in my 30's with a constant fear of back pain and a love for writing stories. I've RPed in multiple MMOs before settling in for the long haul in FFXIV and have loved the connections and stories I've found so far and looking forward to more. I'm open to multiple styles or themes of RP though as a general rule I prefer to engage with folks 21+, and if seeking darker/mature themes I like to make sure there is ample communication ahead of time.

My availability can be a little wonky (dad of two) but I'm generally able to swing in-game rp during the morning/afternoon and later evenings (est), but I'm also a huge fan of Discord (SN: redline1221) for the sheer convenience. Hair: Black as night, though she often adds colorful highlights to it. She will dye her hair for jobs she needs to disguise herself for.

Build: Unlike many of the adventurers and otherwise hard-working individuals that she associates herself with, Malika is certainly not a muscular goddess carved from stone and steel. In fact, while she is extremely dexterous, she’s a bit softer than her allies. Combat is not her strong suit; She prefers to talk, sneak, or run her way out of conflict. While she stays fit, her body betrays that fighting and hunting are not her pastimes of choice.

Common Accessories: At least one weapon that she hopes not to use (typically daggers), an instrument (usually a wood flute), lockpicks, gambling items (a bit of gil for wagers, playing cards, several sets of dice), a deck of arcanum cards, a hardsilver needle and some thread, a silver pinky ring that spins, a silver swan necklace, and a few small trinkets of sentimental value (not all of them her own).

Profession: Malika would say that she doesn’t have one. She does street performances as a musician and acrobat and engages in high risk wagers at the Gold Saucer. Realistically, Malika… doesn’t have one. She is a thief (pickpocket and infiltration) and con-artist.

Thief: Has someone told you that they have something “unstealable” in an “impenetrable” location? That person definitely wants someone to steal that thing or get into that place. Malika is willing to help with that. Despite being a thief, she dislikes gil and will often do jobs for the promise of mementos rather than money. She specifically wants to do jobs that stick it to those who wield their wealth disparity as a means to exert power over others. Want to do crime? Let's do crime together!

Gambler: Malika believes in Fate, but she also believes that she can gain favor with Nymeia by “keeping her spinning.” She thinks of gambling, dares, taking risks, and the like as a means to court luck and favor with Nymeia by keeping the goddess from getting too bored. It keeps Malika from being bored too! She will accept almost any offer of a good gamble or game of chance. Want to gamble? Let's gamble together!

Con-artist: If you want to interact with Mal, look like an easy mark. From fake fortunes and prophecies, to crafting situations where she can just pickpocket something off your character, Malika is a troublemaker. If she introduces herself by any other name that her actual one, she's scheming. **OOC note: I have her do this so that RP is fun; Malika wants to take advantage of the kindness of strangers, but I don't. This is also the OOC reason why she replaces stolen items with different items. You can tell me if you don't want to deal with this (in fact, please do!)

Never met a bridge she didn't want to burn:  Malika is an unreliable, chaotic, impulsive mess of a Miqo'te. She has stolen from a lot of people. She has conned a lot of people. She has left destruction in her wake. She is also not particularly cautious. If you want to RP someone she stole from, whose place she broke into, or anything like that, I'd be happy to!

Ask for help: She doesn’t really want to get involved in other people’s business. She’ll ignore a problem if she can. But if you ask her for help she will usually begrudgingly be that help. She will definitely help you if you need to escape from authority. She thinks her inability to say ‘no’ to someone in need is a weakness; it might actually be her one redeeming quality.

Talk to her at all: Malika is the cliche curious cat. She finds people fascinating. She enthusiastically throws herself into learning about others and is happy to chat up exactly, oh, let me check my notes… that’s right… everybody.

I love doing crime RP, but Malika isn't especially violent and does not particularly want to be involved in violent crimes (Read as: She's so very self-interested that she is especially interested in her self not being injured). If she accidentally gets in over her head, that's fun! But, primarily, she prefers mischievous, petty crime and she's not going to willingly get involved in violent/torture crime stuff. We don't need to have intricate plots for me to have fun. We can just sit around on top of roofs or inside of restaurants having our characters just chat too. I find that just as fun. RP invite; FATE comes with jaws wide

The bustle of Revenant’s Toll is not easily interrupted, but the screaming ofa chocoholic and the shouting of its' rider cut through the chatter of the markets, more so as the bird stumbles and collapses to the ground.

"Cobras!" The rider shouts, stumbling free of his shivering bird. "There were a score of 'em, and only one adventurer out there!"

A murmur goes up, a few heads turn towards the east gate with interest or wariness - the merchants may well heed the first part of the warning, the adventurers the second, but such is the way of things in a settlement like this.

Beyond the gates, the path towards the Sons of Saint Coinach's camp flickers with light and echoes with the hisses of rearing serpents. Their hoods flare as they circle, raising themselves up now and again to strike at the adventurer who stands in their midst - a lone woman, just barely warding the cobras off with her raised staff and a few curses of her own.

She's done well warding off their blows for the moment, but against this number of opponents, there's only so long any one person can last.

I'd like to get a chance to RP out some adventuring with new people! To that end, I'm going to use this post as a starter - if you're interested in doing some in-game RP, I'll be setting up Rohesia Thorneyes on Balmung, Mor Dhona (25, 12), at 1 pm EST. Heart & Steel: You're in trouble. Be it bandits, rampaging goobbues, an abusive master, or a vengeful second-in-line-for-the-Duchy trying to get you out of the line of succession, it's Lyrha's job to defend those who cannot defend themselves. Fate draws her to your aid, and honor demands she sees you through to the end of your troubles. Or, perhaps she's more interested in the potential of a reward... It's, uh, little hard to be sure.

Heart & ... Steal?: While Lyrha's generally reformed into a model wandering heroine, she does occasionally blur the lines between right and wrong. Poncy stuffy Lordlings who look down on their servants and have more than they need are just asking to have an heirloom disappear mysteriously. That corrupt tax collector who took the flour some farmers needed to get through next winter can dine on limestone dust instead. And the predatory broker demanding three times the price she paid for a treasured mother's wedding ring just to get it back won't notice their ransom has been swapped out with a glamoured copper band. If Lyrha's stealing from another thief.... is it really stealing?

Birds of a Feather: Lyrha's griffin isn't exactly the most... well-mannered of beasts. For that matter, neither is Lyrha. Either she's managed to offend her bird (not difficult) or it's managed to offend her (also not difficult), and now it won't come to her call. And you, lucky soul that you are, have somehow been roped into helping her appease, soothe, flatter, or maybe even find the temperamental beast. Preferably before it maims someone. ...Did she mention it's part Vochstein?

Pound of Flesh: Try as she might to put it behind her, Lyrha's history is back to bite. Years spent sailing with notorious pirates and trading in human chattel has given this "queen" quite a reputation in some circles. And quite a bounty. There are no small few across Eitherys who would pay handsomely for her capture -- authorities, bereaved families, and slighted blackguards alike. Others would like nothing better than to hunt her down themselves and take their revenge.

Live By the Sword: Be it in an act of heroism or unfinished business from her past, I'lyrha has been badly wounded. Maybe she came to you for help, or maybe you were just in the right place at the right time to see that she needed it. Maybe you're the one she was trying to protect. Whatever way, this Red Mage is in need of healing, hiding, or both. It's an opportunity for a bit of altruism on your part, or else a chance to demand a bargain with someone who knows they don't have better options.

Once A Pirate...: I'lyrha's learned to behave. Mostly. Except she's still got the mouth of a sailor. And she still can't seem to avoid causing a ruckus at every local tavern. She stared too long, or spoke too uncouthly. Gave insult. Maybe to you. Maybe it was about honor, or money, or a boast, or a pickup line, or a mistaken identity. Either way, it can't be allowed to stand. Get ready for a good, clean, honest 1v1. Not a bar fight. No, a duel. A duel. Hey, wait, put that chair down

I'm Not SUPERstitious: Yes, Lyrha's afraid of ghosts. And sirens. She crushes all her eggshells to bits. She won't kill albatrosses, or eat bananas, and she whistles to summon the wind. Maybe you've done something she considers bad luck, or her obsessive eggshell-smashing has caught your attention. Maybe something on your shirt means she won't make eye contact. It's as good a reason as any to strike up a conversation with a stranger. ALTERNATIVELY: You have requested/hired Lyrha's assistance dealing with a voidsent problem. She'll help you. But she's going to complain the whole time.

Seasalt: Lyrha knows how to live off the sea. Be it a small fishing boat or as part of a larger crew, she's a useful addition to a vessel of any size. She knows the currents, too, and places to hide along the coast... and how to best keep from drawing unwanted attention to valuable cargo, from the Ruby Sea to Limsa Lominsa.

Journey to Limsa

The itch has come. The Drakes took me in as one of their own and have employed me. I confess, as nice as it is to have a roof over my head, I’ve grown too fond of the road. So the first chance I took, I grabbed a contract to fell a creature in La Noscea.

Once again the Calamity has revealed wonders of old Belah’dia. South of Horizon a collapsed aquifer revealed a score of old ruins. Among them is one the locals are calling The Silent King. My former brothers and sisters of the Ossuary are studying it closely, so I didn’t get much time with it. Though when they left for lunch I was able to sneak up and get a few sketches in. I’m going to leave the part about hiding from the Thamaturges out of the article I send for publication...

Tonight I’m sleeping in Vesper Bay, Ul’Dah’s gateway to the seas, and the most active port in Thanalan. The Silver Bazaar held this title once upon a time, but Lord Lolorito poured money into Vesper Bay, raising the bustling city up from its humble roots. Fortunate enough for the Vesperians, I suppose. Though the withering fate of the people of the Silver Bazaar makes me think they do not share in their brethrens’ delight. It is a twisted reality that one man is so powerfully wealthy that he can shift the destiny of thousands at a whim.

Vesper Bay also has another claim to fame of late. It’s become recently known as the home of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, adventurers who previously worked under Louisoix Leveilleur. They’ve made a name for themselves in recent months with their actions against the Garleans as well as assisting the city states with tricky beast tribe gods. What I wouldn’t give to dissect one of those after the fact... The ferry to Limsa Lominsa sails tomorrow, and with it I go to a part of the continent I’ve never been before. I doubt I’ll get much sleep tonight, so I’ve brought a copy of Tatarumi Nanarumi’s Lifestream Theory and Population Growth. If I don’t fall asleep I’ll learn something new.

I’ve sent my latest missives to the publisher for Traveling Thanalan. I doubt it will sell much, but I’d be delighted if someone came to me someday and told me they’d read the book.

Happy Hour - Bards & Bands Wanted

Hello, folks! It's been a while, so we wanted to give everyone a quick update about our Happy Hour events on the last Thursday of each month. We have decided to move away from the macro performance portion of the Happy Hour events for the time being, either permanently or until more new macro performers enter the community and our past performers become more available in their schedules. Rest assured, Happy Hour is here to stay. The events will continue and will be resuming soon! However, we are going to shift the focus away from the performance and musical aspect, and more toward casual, social RP tavern night events with a classy speakeasy vibe. We would love to be able to keep the spirit of the music and entertainment alive within the event and make the most of our stage downstairs, however, so if you are a bard who likes to play music with the in game bard performance feature and are available Thursday evenings within the timeframe of 9:00 - 11:00 PM EST on NA, please contact us! (Please note: this is a voluntary basis, as there will likely be no pay beyond personal tips because we are a non-profit, gil-free venue for our guests.)

FFXIV LFRP; Miyako Akane

Full name: Miyako Akane

Race: Auspice/Yokai

Gender: Genderfluid? Nonbinary? Really, it's whatever they feel like at the moment. Her pronouns depend on the skin she's in at the time: she/they, or he/they. Typically prefers her female presenting form unless her masculine form is more preferable to those she's interacting with.

Sexuality: All of it. Anything.

Marital Status: Single! She's not settling down, she's always on the prowl.

Age: Several centuries old

Profession: She doesn't have one! Though technically they may read your cards or offer a boon...for a price, and she rarely accepts actual currency

Hobbies: Pranking mortals. Preying on mortals. Seducing mortals, people watching... and generally just about anything to do with the forest, or nature.

Hair: Dark orange/white accents

Eyes: Amber

Distinguishing Marks: Typically veiled as a Miqo'te, there is little distinguishing about her person to those unable to see through the magic she uses - although on occasion, one might spot a fluffier tail than she actually seems to have, out of the corner of their eye. To those able to see through this magic... she's quite a bit different than her feline glamour would suggest to the average person. In their feminine presenting forms, she always has red tattoo-markings around her eyes.

RP Hooks

She's still as-yet un-roleplayed, so there's a lot of potential - and there's less impetus for me to want longer storylines on her, so if you just want a few one-off scenes to have your cards read or the like, those are easier on her than on my other characters, though I'm always a sucker for a long plot/storyline that's steeped in character growth! Never be afraid to approach me if you have an idea!

Maybe you want your cards read! I have several tarot decks IRL, and an oracle deck that's well-suited to her too, and I could no doubt use the practice, myself. She essentially makes fey bargains - deals with weird prices that aren't always clear at first.

She may be centuries old, but she was barely over a century when she was imprisoned out in the East, and only escaped her magical prison in the last couple years! (I was, in fact, inspired by JJK and Sukuna for her imprisonment.) She ran from the East and took a new face to pose as, since she was captured and imprisoned in the East, and the people there still respect the old legends... and the Black Shroud is an excellent forest, vibrant with life! ...and unsuspecting mortals.

Speaking of the Black Shroud, there's a lot of ways to interact with her in regard to that! You could randomly run into her. She could do what kitsune do in the old tales, and lure you off the road at night and get you lost. Maybe you've seen something weird in the forest, or heard strange tales from travelers. Maybe you're just really in tune with the elementals and they've mentioned a new entity in the forest...really, I'm open to about anything with some talk about it beforehand!

She feeds on aether! She doesn't have to kill people to do this, though she's certainly not above it - what are morals to an animal, anyways? Food is food. Prey is prey. But sometimes, it's easier to just seduce someone and feed on their aether, before leaving them naked and drained in the forest to have a laugh at their expense.

Given her long imprisonment, much about the world is new to her! Maybe you lure her in by showing her all the nifty new stuff there is, and blowing her mind at how much things have changed in a few hundred years.

You could be an antagonist! Hunt her, if you like! Maybe she hurt you, or someone you care(d) about! Maybe you're from the East and found out her prison was dismantled, and you fear yokai; or you're just a Shroud Dweller who has been wronged, etc.

Romance! While I don't tend to like interactions that are solely focused on seeking out ERP - she is a sensual creature, and physical intimacy is an indulgence and a way to consume aether... though I don't know how she'd feel about genuine romance... last time she indulged in that, it got her caught and imprisoned!

She likes pranks/mischief... and sometimes that mischief can seem cruel if you don't understand the mindset of a creature of the wild. Engage her on her level, and she might find you more 'fun' than 'food'.

Alternately, she carries her soul around in an orb she wears as jewelry, and if someone got their hands on it, it'd be bad news for her!

About anything you can think of and want to brainstorm together! She's an alt that's good for long-term or short-term RP; serious, or not-so-serious moments... there's plenty of potential!

The OOC

Writer is 30+, and I prefer RP partners to be 21+ - I do prefer darker, more mature RP, but that's not all I'm capable of! I just like morally grey explorations - and questions like 'what really drives a person?'

Late nights aren't really something I can do anymore, past 11-12pm my writing isn't any good, though my schedule is open enough to allow earlier starting times. Also I'm CST, and prefer in-game RP. I simply can't stay in character when RP isn't moving in real time, and tend to just forget to respond to out of game stuff, or not feel well enough to write some days, and it ends up taking so long that I can't stay in character. Thus, scheduling in-game scenes ahead of time will always be what works best for me.

No canon characters please, it just really breaks my immersion/my character wouldn't have any reason to interact with canon characters really! Unfortunately, this means WoL OCs as well - their power level is just so intense that I can't really justify my OCs interacting with the WoL: time-traveling slayer of gods at the edges of the universe. (And no shade to canon RPers of any kind - it's just not my cup of tea, is all. Embrace your fun, my friends!) I also don't mind bending lore, but outright ignoring/breaking with it is also not really for me - and again, there's no judgement for how others choose to have fun, but I like to respect the canon.

I prefer plots, and RP with a purpose - contact solely focused on ERP is not welcome. ERP as part of an on-going story doesn't bother me, however.

Don't bring IC into OOC, or vice verse!

Communicate! If the RP isn't working for you, just tell me! I prefer 'organic RP,' but if you want to steer a story (RP) in a certain direction or don't want it steering in a direction, let me know! Hey you there! Stop! Are you looking for RP? Do you want to make a new connection? You okay with someone returning to the game after a hiatus?

Hi it me! I’m Val! Pretty much everyone I played with is MIA and my character’s old connections are no more, so I’m looking to make new ones. To justify this, I’ve edited/changed the character a bit and I undoubtedly have a LOT of work to do to get back proper such as making a new carrd, glamours, mods, etc. But I’m working on it and taking it bit by bit! I have other characters and alts, too, that I’m going to be updating/posting about as well.

Name: Zheval Seltik (Val) Age: 36 Race: Viera Gender: Male (He/Him) Occupation: Mercenary/Bodyguard/Sword for Hire Timezone: CST, but I can make most things work as long as it isn't beyond 2AM CST. RP Style: I can do semi/multi-para and everything in between. I usually change my posting style to match the tempo of the RP. Ideally I'd like to get involved with others that also enjoy writing so I can improve my style and skill. A sample of my writing can be found here, having just recently posted it to get a feel for the character.

OOC: Hello! I've been playing since launch and RPing for far longer--as far back as old school Ayenee RP chats, through WoW (Silver Hand/Moon Guard - WotLK), and many others. I'm returning from a bit of a hiatus and pretty much all of my contacts are gone, so I'm starting over! Character rebuild, catching up in game, and so on. As for what I'm looking for--Zheval's always been a combatant. He can't read/write very well and it's a typical amnesia story to justify starting over. I love exciting RP-conflict, mystery, combat, adventuring, slice of life, mature, dark, etc. I'm happy to also do hangout/slice of life RP and take things a little slower, but I see him getting into tournaments for the thrill of the fight and, hopefully, being hired by an FC or individual as a guard, mercenary, or hired hand of some sort. All that to say I do have a carrd, but it's incredibly out of date. That's going to be resolved soon and is my first priority. The general idea of the character won't change, but obviously some things will be different as he's operating in a bit of a fog. I Am Looking For

In-Game RP -21+ RP partners/friends to RP with in game. I'm okay with Discord, but I'd rather do within the setting/game itself.    

Long-term RP -So the character can naturally grow and evolve. I'm not looking for relationship/ERP for the sake of having one. He has priorities and, if those ever come to completion, then maybe the possibility will open up. But I want things to progress naturally and organically and right now it's not on his radar.

Themes -I'm up for just about anything! Dark, mature, casual, criminal, heroic, adventurous, whatever. I can fit this character into just about anything as-is and welcome it!

Hooks

Bodyguard/Merc - He has previous work as a guard and is currently doing that to make enough coin to live. 

Tournament/Arena - Host a tournament? Know one? He's down. Underground, seedy dives feel right to him for some reason. 

 Ul'dahn Native - Speaking of-does your character often visit Ul'dah/Central Thanalan? Maybe the bridge just near the Grindstone? That's his home when he can't afford a room in the inn! For some reason, it comforts him. 

Amnesia Experience - Does your character have experience with amnesia? Dealing with it themselves? Think they can help him learn who he was? He'd be more than willing to hear their story and form a bond. 

Exploration - So much of the world is a fog to him, and the littlest thing stands to awaken a memory or feel familiar to him. If your character either wants to help him dig through the fog or just an adventurous sort to explore the world, count him in! 

F.C. - Does your character's initials match F.C.? The ring is all he has to go on as to who he was, and any such person is immediately interesting to him. 

Enemies - A member of his past? Want to torment him? I'm all for it! 

Frienemies - A member of his past that used to hate him? Want to start a love/hate relationship where they’re constantly trying to one-up and cause problems for each other? Let’s go!

 Ideas! - I'm up for anything else so long as it isn't much more than lore-bending. There's likely a lot I missed and I'm more than open to new ideas!
