🦙🦙🦙…
Dream didn’t think that he had ever been more grateful to see a flower biome in his life.
His legs were tired, unfamiliar with the amount of physical exertion that they had been put through, and his prison wear proved to be useless at protecting him from the previous snow biome’s bite. He was tired, cold and exhausted; but he was also finally free.
Oak tree branches greeted him with open limbs as he finally stumbled over the biome’s border, a ceremony of colourful petals bowing down to him as he scurried past. His lungs wheezed hungrily at the sweet scented air; he’d been running ever since leaving Technoblade’s snowy cottage, and they were as tired and out of practice as his legs.
The piglin hybrid had been gracious enough to uphold his favour and escort Dream safely away from the angry crowds outside his prison, but he had also made it clear that that would be the end of his prison break-out service. Once again, Dream had been stripped of the safety-net of having someone to fight alongside, but more importantly, the fresh set of armour that he had been given. Optimistically, he was aware that he’d be able to recover both, he just needed to find Punz.
A few more chunks of desperate bounding saw Dream’s body disappointingly reach its limit. A small clearing within the flowery forest broke his fall as his legs literally gave out beneath him. He tumbled a few more blocks after that, rolling limply through a patch of unsuspecting pink and orange tulips, and landing face down into the grass beneath.
There was barely enough strength left in him to open his eyes, but he managed to groan and roll himself onto his back, batting at the curious tulips and grass stems that leant down to smother his face — analyzing their new company. He knew that there was no way that he could run another step; his chest heaved and his legs trembled even whilst just lying, sprawled out in a flower field. Though he was certain that he had run far enough to lose any of his angry followers.
Beyond the waving tulips in his peripheral vision, a bright, blue sky stretched out above him, smeared with fluffy, white clouds. A breath of wind blew across the clearing. Dream listened to it approach, and then finally mustered up the energy to lift himself up onto his elbows to bathe in it. He tilted his head up, closing his eyes as the breath gently pulled at his unkept hair, listening to the whispers of the field around him as it basked in the same feeling. It felt more incredible than he could have ever imagined, an immovable smile crept up his face.
Catching his breath allowed him to take in the beauty of his surroundings, as he began to sort through his inventory. Ahead of him was a dark oak forest, one that prompted him with the need to feel just a little more prepared for the approaching night.
Although he didn’t have his armour, he still had managed to collect an array of useful items during his escape; four healing potions, two fire resistance potions, seventeen ender pearls, a half-used nether axe and half a stack of steak were only the beginnings of his findings. He laid them out neatly in the field in front of him once he had counted them, each one glistening beautifully under the glorious rays of the server’s sunshine. He still had this eerie feeling that someone was watching him — no doubtably a drawback from being monitored in prison for a whole year — but he tried his hardest to ignore it.
Another breeze rolled across the field and Dream lifted his head again. He shut his eyes, listening to the whispering life forms around him and it rushed past his face. A subtle shift in the air flow around him raised suspicion in his gut, potentially another symptom of his paranoia; but as a shadow made itself present against the backs of his eyelids, he was left with no other choice but to give into its nagging, pulling away from his moment of serenity.
He made the right call.
The flower field that once lay out in front of him had now been replaced, blocked. In its place was instead a looming figure, one that wore a white porcelain mask and very nearly scared Dream all the way out of his skin. He let out a yell, jolting back away from the upside down face, and gasping sharply when a set of familiar, cloak-covered arms broke his fall. The face leant in, apparently having no regard for Dream’s personal space. It was as equally familiar as the arms that held him.
“XD..?” He questioned, unable to control the startle in his voice. He could hear his heart racing in his ears as a low chuckle rumbled out from behind the mask, vibrating up his spine.
“Dream.” The being greeted, removing himself from Dream’s space. Dream felt himself relax, letting out a breath of relief as he was tilted back up into his original position. He scrambled himself around to face the familiar god, lifting up his chin.
Despite appearing significantly smaller to how he had done in prison, DreamXD was still tall, reaching well over four blocks and towering over Dream’s seated body. Their stance was rigid, gaze directed out towards the dark oak biome’s borders behind him. They seemed disgruntled by something, Dream recognised the subtle signs of worry.
“You scared me!” He accused, naturally shrinking away when the god’s attention shifted back down to him. They stared at him for a moment behind unreadable porcelain, before their shoulders also appeared to relax, and an amused smile stretched beneath their mask instead.
“You’re a long way from prison.” They purred. Their rigidity appeared to be brushed aside as they dipped down to join Dream in his patch of flowers. His cloak arranged itself around him during his descent, blanketing any nearby tulips in a sea of deep green, and chasing out a gust of displaced air as it did so. “How did you manage that?”
Dream felt his lips wobble and stretch to mirror their expressions.
“Techno broke me out.” He began, hopelessly proud. “He dug through the wall and we swam out through the lava. Like it was honestly so cool, it was like — four of us versus the whole server. It was epic!”
The god scoffed at his enthusiasm, but even so Dream couldn’t stop himself from rambling. The feeling of being free was exhilarating, and the god’s presence always seemed to bring out a hidden vulnerability within himself. He had an aura of safety around him, a radiating warmth that always managed to draw Dream in.
He ended up explaining his breakout in great detail, and DreamXD allowed him every word. It felt good to have someone to talk to, and incredible to have the wind on his shoulders and grass beneath his body.
“Well aren’t you a clever one.” The deity praised once Dream’s recount came to an end. They had picked up one of his healing potions and were tapping patiently at its glass. Dream beamed at the words. He was aware that they were laced with subtle sparks of humour and sarcasm — DreamXD was a being beyond mortal troubles after all — but his smile was wide and proud regardless.
“George will be pleased to see you.” They continued, offering Dream a friendly smile. The phrase was clearly meant to be comforting, reassuring. It was spoken with such a soft tone and was ended with an even softer smile, and yet the mere mentioning of his old friend sent Dream’s body into a panic. His heart leapt to his throat, thudding away against his voice box as his body promptly drained itself from all remnants of pride and joy.
George…
He hadn’t expected to hear that name so soon, in fact he was borderline ignoring it. Dream hadn’t even considered that he’d now be able to reunite with his former best friend; half of him wanted to believe that it was because he was mad at George, but the other half was louder and far more convincing.
He was afraid.
The fear of being rejected pin pricked all over his skin at the innocent mention of the brunette’s name, along with a set of carelessly crafted "What if’s?”:
What if George shared the same motives as Sapnap? What if he believed that Dream deserved to rot away in prison?
The idea of George being disappointed or angry at Dream wrapped tightly around his throat.
What if he tried to hurt him? What if George got hurt because of Dream again?
The panicked flurry of thoughts took Dream’s hesitation as an opportunity to speak without his permission.
“No.” He found himself saying, stern and clear. The smile below XD’s mask faded into a frown. Dream felt his chest tighten. “I’m- I’m sorry.” He followed up quickly. The god carefully replaced the healing potion back down into the grass. He nodded his head, slowly. Dream could tell that he was disappointed.
Another breeze rolled over the field, filling the silence between the two beings with whooshing whispers. It settled Dream a little, but didn’t do much to alleviate the weight of guilt on his shoulders. He felt on the verge of tears — a feeling that he seldom felt, provided that he wasn’t unaccompanied by the apparent-god of the server. He felt silly and pathetic and so unbelievably overrun with guilt.
“George likes these sorts of flowers.” The god’s voice was a soft rumble, combining perfectly with the whispering flora around them. Dream looked over to him, they were disassembling an orange tulip, petal by petal. He managed to nod his head in agreement, but his mind was well and truly elsewhere.
“I just- don’t want him getting hurt...” He confessed, earnestly. It was not the full truth, but it was one that he felt XD would at least be able to understand, or more to the point, one that he was comfortable admitting. To his surprise the god scoffed at his explanation.
“Nothing is going to hurt George.” They stated firmly, like it was the most obvious thing in the world. His tone was confident but Dream also sensed that the affirmation was not only meant for him. He tilted his head, beckoning the god to elaborate, but they merely switched topics.
“How did you find this place?” The orange tulip had been dismantled, and the deity moved to fiddle with Dream’s axe instead. Dream watched him easily handle the weapon as though it were a small twig.
The wording of the question caught his attention, pairing with the god’s previous claim and sparking a fire of curiosity within him.
‘This place.’
To Dream this indicated some sort of significance to the clearing.
“I don’t know, I just ran.” He shrugged, watching curiously as XD’s gait appeared to freeze; their fiddling stopped and their gaze lifted up to stare past him into the dark oak biome like before. Intriguingly, their worry seemed to have returned.
“Why?” Dream asked, turning to scan the edges of the forest’s border in case there was someone or something lurking there. He couldn’t see anything out of the ordinary, maybe a few more mushrooms than he’d expect, but that was all. When he turned back, the god was focused on him instead. He shifted under their gaze.
“No reason.” They claimed. Dream eyed him suspiciously. It sounded very much like a lie. He decided to pry further.
“You keep looking over there… Is there something in there?”
It was intriguing to watch a being as inhuman as XD portray such human reactions. Dream watched the god hesitate at his question. Their shoulders rolled with the obvious pressure of keeping a secret, and his axe was promptly replaced back down into the grass.
“..No…”
Curiosity surged through Dream’s veins. His lips twitched into an amused smirk.
“You’re lying!” He pointed out, shuffling himself up onto his knees to face the good square on.
“I’m not!”
Dream couldn’t help but laugh, they just sounded so flabbergasted.
“Aren’t you like— a god or something? Shouldn’t you be able to keep secrets??” The god huffed at the call-out. Dream ignored him. “What’s in the dark oak forest?”
“Nothing!” Dream raised an eyebrow, he’d never seen XD so squirmy.
He decided to push the god further, allowing himself to stand and turn himself towards the forest again. The deity acted as he felt he would, whooshing their way into his vision to block his view. Dream dodged around him, expecting the reaction, and found himself to laugh at the god’s yell of dismay.
“You’re hiding something!” He yipped, making a break for the dark oak’s borders. Along with XD’s ability to coax out Dream’s most deepest vulnerabilities, he also apparently had the ability to inject giddy curiosity into his veins.
The whoosh of XD’s cloak appeared again, this time engulfing Dream in its fabric before he had a chance to dodge around it
“No! Let me see!!” Dream yelped. His heart fluttered with excitement, parting his lips into a giddy smile. There was something in the dark oak forest, there was just no way that there wasn’t! He giggled as the god hissed out his disapproval.
“It’s not for humans. No one is supposed to be able to find this place.” The god’s arms adjusted around Dream, blocking any wriggly escape attempts with a replenishing wall of fabric.
“Supposed to?” Once again the wording caught Dream’s attention. The cloak had muffled his voice but had done nothing to dampen his curiosity. “Does that mean that somebody has already found it?”
A beat of silence from the god caused Dream’s smile to triple in width. The reaction was enough to quench his query, and he went back to batting and wading through his fabric prison.
It was a hopeless process.
“You are asking, a lot of questions...” The god growled, slowly. Their arms tightened around Dream’s waist, stilling his squirming entirely.
The warning tone in his voice could not have been more clear, leading Dream to believe he was on the right track with his prying. All common sense and caution had been lost to the impulsivity of his adrenaline. “So I take that as a yes?”
Another low, irritated growl rumbled out from behind him. Dream chuckled, tilting his head up and providing XD with a victorious smile. It was fascinating to watch the clear signs of frustration play out on XD’s face, despite it being mostly hidden by his mask. Dream was able to paint a vivid picture of what his full expressions may look like based on just the pout that twisted his lips; they were well and truly peeved.
“It’s too easy~” He teased. XD bared his teeth into a snarl, a much firmer warning. Dream supplied a cheeky grin in return, but he felt his heart pound when the god’s snarl crept its way up into a smile; a slow creeping, mischievous smile.
“You’re a lot more spritely out here than you were cooped up in that cell.” They observed, a sudden smoothness and venom to their tone. Dream gasped as the hands around his waist suddenly stirred, shuffling beneath the deity’s cloak and latching themselves onto his sides. His common sense made a quick return, pushing its way back into control and immediately barking out warnings to his nervous system.
“W-wahAIt NO!!” He yelped, twisting amongst his cloak-prison. Any misplaced confidence was promptly chased away by new spikes of panic; though the giddy excitement circuiting his bloodstream remained. Together, the feelings collected and combined in his stomach, fluttering around clumsily like a newly hatched phoenix, before climbing up and out of his throat in the form of panicked, bubbly giggles.
“Usually you’re so sad and mopey.” The god continued over Dream’s emerging laughter, taunting him with the calmness in his tone. He drew circles into Dream’s sides, moving up and down the muscles despite the boy’s kicks and squirms.
“But now you’re so chipper!”
“NOhoho!! StAHAp!!”
“Wouldn’t you agree, Dreamie?” Dream’s laughter hiccuped as XD’s hands moved up to his ribs, stamping his feet into the grassy ground and scrunching up his shoulders as their playful growl rumbled through him.
“StAHAp!! Ohohobiviously!!” He whined, prying and clawing at the shape of their hands.
In hindsight, this form of retaliation from the god should have been better anticipated; Dream had of course never not been reduced to a giggly mess after each one of XD’s previous visits. He had been naive to challenge them, and he knew all too well that escaping the god was always a hopeless process, especially now that he was working with an exhausted body and giddy mind.
“You’re also much more sassy.”
Dream doubled over as the god’s fingers began climbing up his ribcage, trembling and squeaking as they kneaded and teased each bone.
“Nohoho Ihihi—!!”
“Still just as adorable though.”
Dream shook his head, quickly succumbing to the burn of his growing blush. Along with being impossible to escape, the god also had a certain way with his words that left Dream writhing. Their creeping squeezes and teasy comments moved faster than his tired brain could ever keep up with. It was simply impossible to console himself. He collected up two fistfuls of fabric and buried his face into them.
“Ehehehex Dehehehe…” He whined.
“And still just as ticklish.” A muffled protest was thrown into his cloak burrow.
“STA-hahaP! Ihih’m NOHOT!!” Dream cried. He hated that word. Hot fluster-borne tears gathered in his eyes as his skin prickled with chilling embarrassment. He slid down in XD’s hold, buckling at the knees and pressing his face further into his green haven.
“Ohhh, it’s too easy…” XD mocked, continuing their crawling journey up his ribcage. Their hold loosened around Dream’s waist, apparently taking pity on the ex-prisoner’s fluster, and allowing him some wiggle room.
Dream made no hesitation in abusing the deity’s gesture.
The second he felt XD’s hold relax, he re-engaged his squirming; kicking, prying, leaping and bouncing with any ounce of energy that he could muster up. Until finally, he was free.
“YES!!” He cried, tittering madly to himself as he scampered his way towards the dark oak’s border’s again. His heart raced in his chest, pounding excitedly at the thought of XD chasing him down. He hadn’t felt this sort of playful adrenaline in such a long time; not since before L’manburg. It felt as though he had been struck by lightning, like his brain was charged with childish curiosity and innocence. He couldn’t stop giggling.
His adrenaline carried him only a chunk or so before the burn of exhaustion swelled in his legs again, then it was only a few more blocks after that that his brief getaway was brought to its inevitable end. Two cloaked arms wrapped around his waist, engulfing him with familiar forest green, and lifting him from the ground. Before Dream could even think to fight his way free, or yelp out a protest, the world around him twirled.
Suddenly, he was looking at the dark oak biome from a new perspective, with a sky of tulips above his head, and a stretching sea of blue at his feet. He craned his neck up, only to find DreamXD’s signature, menacing grin staring back down at him; from in between his thighs…
“NoHO!!” He cried, letting out uncontrollable titters out at the sight. His legs were slung over the deity’s shoulders, and he was pinned down at his thighs by two large, clawed hands. The deity’s head rested in between, and their lower set of arms wrapped around Dream’s waist to keep him extra steady. Butterflies swarmed inside Dream’s stomach, and his head spun as he attempted to orientate himself.
“You really want to know what’s in there?” DreamXD mused, dragging long nails up and down Dream’s thighs.
Dream gasped, holding his breath to stifle his reactions. The god's claws were way out of his reach, and yet he still attempted to swing himself up to bat at them to defend himself. He was quickly broken into breathy, panicked giggles, which apparently prompted the deity’s hands to increase their pressure. The hands switched from tracing to squeezing, latching onto Dream’s thighs and massaging at his tired muscles.
“NahAHAha!! Fuhuhuhuck youhuhuhu!!” Dream cried, throwing his head back into free flowing cackles. He clawed at the hands around his waist as compensation for not being able to reach his thighs.
“Ohhhh fuck me??” The deity challenged. Dream squealed when their hands moved to taser at his inner thighs. “And to think that I was trying to protect you!!”
“EHEhEX DEHE!!”
“Maybe I will have to send you there after all!!” Dream shook his head. It didn’t matter how much he kicked, he wasn’t able to move his thighs in the slightest.
“Juhuhust tEHELl mehe whahat’s iN thehehere!!”
“Mm I don’t know if I should~” The deity crooned. “It’s not safe for mortals, like you!” His fingers moved down to tap and squeeze at Dream’s hip bones. Dream began squeaking through his laughter.
“Whyhyhy..?” He hiccuped, shaking his head again in an attempt to clear some of his brain fog. He felt dizzy and light, almost as though he were resting on clouds.
“It’s full of monsters!” XD hissed, snarling his answer in a playful whisper. “Monsters that were created to gobble up meddling mortals like you!”
Dream let out a squeal as the deity’s lower hands suddenly unwrapped themselves and scuttled up his sides. He yelped and yipped, battling with the delighted terror in his stomach. The lower set of arms left him with enough freedom to twist and swing, but the new firmer hold on his thighs still kept him from falling.
“NAHAhHaha!! I cahan tahahake thehehem! Juhuhust let me gohoho!!”
“Ohhh you wouldn’t stand a chance!!”
Dream screamed as the god moved his scuttling around to his stomach, showering the sensitive area with unpredictable spidering.
“You’re just far too ticklish to win against a tickle monster.”
“XD!!” Dream yelled, bucking his hips in a wild panic. His stomach fluttered and flustered under the soft touch, burning itself up into a hot lava mess and oozing its way down to his neck and cheeks. “YOU’RE LYING!”
“And the tickle monsters love ticklish little snacks like you!”
“NOHO!!” He wailed.
His body fell back limp against XD’s, losing himself to waves of laughter, and strings of incoherent babbles. He pried at the god’s hands but it hardly made a difference in their attack.
Once the hands found their way beneath Dream’s prison shirt and onto his bare skin, Dream truly felt that he had been teleported into the clouds. His skin fluttered and jumped at every scritch and scratch from the god, leaving behind an army of goosebumps and shivers each time. Mirthful tears in his eyes made the dark oak forest look like a painting, washed and abstract, and he could feel that his cheeks and stomach were as hot as the nether.
“Soooo flustered!” The god crooned. He loosened his hold around Dream’s thighs, letting him slide down towards the waving flower field below, and stilling his skittering fingers. “The monsters will be most pleased!”
Dream immediately covered his face with a whine, muffling untameable titters into the palms of his hands. He wanted so desperately to curl up, but his body was feeling far too weak and fluffy to obey any of his orders.
Flowers and grass stems greeted him with playful kisses and whispers once he was fully lowered into their grasp. He giggled and squirmed amongst them, completely lost and overcome by his heightened sensitivity. The god followed him down, looming over him and making Dream squeak and yelp at the shadow he created.
“Dreamie, Dreamie, Dreamie...” He sighed, grinning wildly when the boy squeaked at that as well. “What am I going to do with you?”
Dream peaked out from behind his hands, huffing and puffing amongst his nerves. It was ironically the most alive and grounded that he had felt in a long time, despite his floaty state.
“Lehehet mehe gohoho?” He suggested, cheekily. He couldn’t help himself.
“Hmmm.” The deity hummed, clearly in feigned thought. Dream giggled at that too, overcome by childish energy. “I suppose it wouldn’t hurt to give myself a little taster before I send you off there…”
Dream’s eyes widened as the deity’s grin did, watching in disbelief as they opened their mouth to reveal their fangs growing and sharpening right before his eyes.
“Youhuhur— youhuhur, youhuhur—!” He squeaked. His heart thumped wildly and excitedly in his chest. “Whaha—whahat??”
“Just a little nibble.” They explained, before diving down closer to Dream. They buried themselves into the startled boy’s neck, and began grazing his teeth over the skin there.
Dream screamed, not just from the shock of the movement, but from the sheer panic that XD was actually going to bite him.
“NAAHAHA EHEHEX DEHEHE!!!” He wailed, thrashing wildly beneath the god’s large body. Somehow, their teeth didn’t hurt in the slightest, but they did tickle. A whole lot.
Dream, was thrown into immediate hysterics, scrunching his shoulders up and pushing desperately at XD’s shoulders. He swore that he could feel each tooth nipping at the meat of his neck, grazing the sensitive area with the perfect amount of pressure to drive him insane. He arched his back, scuffing his boots into the grassy earth and cackling wildly like he had never done so before.
“PLEHEHEHEHEASE!!!” He cried, trying his darndest to wriggle and squirm away from the unbelievable feeling. The god hummed into his neck, causing Dream to yelp and scream at the buzzing feeling that it left behind. They moved up from the meaty muscles of his trapezium onto the softer skin on the side of his neck. Dream wheezed and thumped his fist into XD’s back.
It was only a few moments after the change of spots that XD apparently decided that Dream had had enough, and he pulled himself away to let the boy recover.
A blinding warmth replaced the deity’s shadow once they moved to sit in the flower field beside Dream. It cradled him in a soothing halo, and Dream didn't argue with its demand for him to keep his eyes closed, focusing on the swirling colours that danced around in the backs of his eyelids.
His skin tingled all over, lighting the fire that kept his giggles alive and bubbling, but also joining forces with the sun and smothering Dream in a comforting blanket of warmth. He felt safe, cozy. He could feel the gentle touches of the flower field around him, reminding him that he was being watched over. He leant into their brushes and sweeps, still giggling to himself and managing to scrunch when a curious tulip dipped down to check in on his neck.
“Plehe-ehehease..!!” He tittered, not really to anyone in particular. He felt dazed, blissed out, and more free than he had ever felt before.
Eventually his breathing calmed down enough for his giggles to die out, leaving him only with a huge smile. He opened his eyes to take in the blue sky above him, adoring the feeling of crisp forest air in his lungs. He wished he could feel this way forever.
“George is in there.”
XD’s voice startled Dream enough to make him jump. He snapped his head around to address the deity.
“Wh-hat.” He cleared his throat. “What did you say?”
“George.” The deity said again. He nodded his head towards the dark oak biome.
Dream sat up, following the god’s gaze out across the dark oak borders. The cogs in his brain grinded and churned, trying to understand what the deity meant, until suddenly he was swarmed with flashes of memories, reminding him of the night that XD had actually brought him to see George.
Was this the same dark oak forest??
“No one is supposed to be able to find it.” The deity explained, fiddling with a grass stem. “But you did.” He looked up to address Dream. Dream looked back to the forest again.
George.
“He’s ready to see you now. If you would like.” The god’s offer was gentle, soothing. He had lost much of his echoed voice and his tone made Dream feel warm and welcomed.
He nodded his head, slowly. XD visibly lit up at his agreeance. Dream couldn’t help but smile.
He allowed for the deity to pick him up, clinging onto soft green fabric as he was maneuvered into a cradle. His aching muscles wasted no time in melting into the god’s arms, and his lungs were quick to time their compressions to the thumping of his heart. The exhaustion that Dream had been trying to fight off so badly finally had the chance to catch up to him. His eyelids drooped under its pull, and his hands loosened their grip around the deity’s comforting fabric.
The pair didn’t even reach the dark oak’s border before sleep found its way to Dream, wrapping him in a cocoon of bliss, warmth and familiarity. He truly was finally free.

George had moments where he regretted teaching XD what tickling was. XD was a very curious God when it came to human things and George, more often than not, became their test subject for the new things they learned. And them have four arms definitely did not help. George was currently in a meadow with XD, one far enough away that no one would find them, pinned to the soft grass by two of their four hands. XD had learned about rib counting from Foolish, having seeing him do it to Bad and asking about it.
"Ex... is this really necessary?" George whimpered, squirming a bit under them.
"You told me I could try out new things on you George. Just relax, it'll be much easier for you if you relax." XD hovered his clawed hands over him, waiting for any real signs for them to stop. When George didn't give them any, they started at the bottom, rubbing his claws into his ribs.
"1, 2, 3,4. You're so loud George, is it really that bad?" XD's tone was entirely curiosity instead of teasing.
"YEHEHEHES!" XD continued to count under their breath, working their way up until they hit the top, letting George rest a bit before wanting to explore something else he learned.

Unaware
Summary: George gets caught playing dress-up in XD’s cloak. Aka: Out of spite and boredom, I made this to torment Mushie.
Warnings: None
——————————
George stared in amazement at the long green cloak hung up near his front door. The dark green garment flowed beautifully with ethereal magic, easily taunting the mortal. The cloak was rarely seen without its owner, which only made it more appealing to George.
He looked to his left and right, finding both directions empty of the god. George focused his gaze back on the cloak and cautiously took it off the rack it was hanging on. The material was soft to the touch, though with the dull scratch of wool. George ran his fingers over the clothing and distantly remembered moments when he would do the same with Dream’s and Sapnap’s clothes; taking them and watching chaos unfold.
He shrugged the cloak on and took in his appearance in a nearby mirror. The cloak was clearly made for someone who was at least twice his size. The sleeves bunched up and swallowed his hands entirely, there was a large pile of the fabric laying on the ground from where it hung off his body. Despite it being much too big for him, George found himself smiling giddily and snuggling into the fabric. He swayed side to side, seeing the cloak at all angles and being pleased at his appearance. He felt regal.
He raised his hand as if holding a staff and spoke in a gruff voice, “I am the powerful XD, you will bow to me.” He broke into titters at the sheer ridiculousness of the situation.
“George,” He started again in the same low tone, “There is a small pool of water in the bathroom. Why is it raining indoors?” He asked himself, barely containing his laughter at the memory and his recount.
He was so busy giggling to himself and making light fun of his friend, that he missed the air shifting and the subtle pop signaling that he was no longer alone. XD stood by and watched as George continued to play.
“George, get behind me. There is a wolf in your house. Do not be afraid, it will not harm you while I’m here.” George wheezed, clearly amused with himself.
XD flushed at the memory, how was he to know that humans befriended wildlife?
“I still don’t understand that one.” XD spoke up.
A startled scream ripped from George’s throat. He whipped his head around to see the deity standing behind him, with a sly smile beginning to form underneath his mask. “XD,” He said.
“I was looking for that.” XD spoke in reference to his cloak, cutting off whatever George was going to say. “But you do look rather cute in it, maybe I’ll let you keep it.”
George looked astonishingly at XD. “Really?” He asked, full of confusion and suspicion.
XD let out a dark chuckle. “Absolutely not.” XD straightened his back and cracked his knuckles, a trick he’d learned from Dream. His head brushed the ceiling at his full height, and suddenly George knew he was in a game of cat and mouse.
George picked up the excess cloak from the floor and ran in the other direction, filled with a mixture of excitement and anticipation. He ran around twists and turns, dodged furniture, and weaved around corners; all the while XD lagged slightly behind. While the god would normally win chases instantly, being confined in George’s house gave him a disadvantage, something that George was very happy about.
“How long do you think you’ll be able to run for, George?” XD asked tauntingly. “You know what’s going to happen when I catch you, right?”
George screamed at how close XD’s voice was. He chose not to reply, his giggling being enough of a response on its own.
“Don’t worry, giggles, you won’t have to wait.”
Before George could wonder what XD meant, he felt himself be pulled back by his wrists that were entangled in XD’s cloak. He squawked as he fell right into his chaser’s awaiting arms.
XD chuckled, “Do you know how much trouble you’re in right now, pretty boy?”
George whined and attempted to hide his face, but found out that his hands were stuck perfectly in place. “Stop calling me that.” He said, already beside himself with the amount of butterflies he felt.
XD tsked before speaking once again. “It's true. Look at how precious you are!” He crooned. He softly grabbed George’s chin and made the mortal look at him.George’s red face was fully on display, showcasing his beaming smile and tumbling laughter.
“And look at how much you’re laughing! Imagine how bad it’ll be when I actually start to tickle you.” The deity taunted with a grin of his own.
George groaned, trying in vain to wiggle out of his trapped position. “Just get it over with already!” He blurted out.
As soon as the words left George’s mouth, he knew he had made a mistake. XD’s grin turned feral, with his dull fangs on full display.
“Oh, you want me to tickle you?”
George tried to backtrack, but was stopped by XD’s lower set of hands massaging his ribs. He squealed and thrashed as XD expertly wiggled in the grooves of the bones.
“All you had to do was ask!” XD continued, “You know I could never refuse such a ticklish little thing.”
XD paused his wiggling fingers, “Or maybe I could.” He lowered his mouth to speak lowly right next to George’s ear. “Maybe you just deserve it.”
With that, he jumped back into relentlessly tickling George’s ribs, being sure to pay extra attention to spots that made the man scream with laughter. In addition to this, his free set of hands gently massaged into the muscle on each side of George’s belly button.
George threw his head back onto XD’s chest, howling as he was tickled out of his mind. With the cloak bounding his hands, he had nothing to do but squirm side to side as XD took him apart. With hands on his ribs and stomach, his wild squirming only pushed himself onto XD’s tickling fingers. He felt his knees buckle and give out, only being saved by XD reflexively catching him.
“Where are you going George?” XD asked with a mocking tone.
George shuddered with leftover giggles, “Awahahay!”
“Oh I don’t think so.” XD shook his head. “You were so curious. I’m just making sure that you’ve gotten acquainted with my cloak.” The playful excuse rolled off his tongue with ease.
“Ihi was just trying it ohohon!” George argued his point, not realizing the hole he was digging for himself.
“On purpose?” XD asked.
George nodded his head. “Yes! Wait-no! Well, I mean-“ George stuttered over himself.
“Oh.” XD said with a cheshire grin. “Well in that case,” XD’s hands jumped back to life, with his top pair squeezing the brunette’s hips and his bottom pair massaging his thighs. XD chuckled at George’s booming laughter and frantic squirming.
George’s face was bright red as he shook his head back and forth. He cackled breathlessly as he fought with the fabric still entangling his wrists, but eventually resigned himself to going limp in XD’s hold.
XD cooed, the sound echoing and reverberating through George’s very being. “Are you finally giving up?”
George rapidly nodded, “YEHEHES YEHEHEhehes!”
XD ceased his actions and withdrew his arms, letting George gently down on the floor as he shook with mirthful giggles.
“Ohoho my gohohod.” George whined. “Is that all I needed to sahay?”
XD nodded, “You still have my cloak, after all.”
George spluttered and pulled at his hands. He found that the fabric easily slid off. He stared wide eyed “What! No! It was stuck! I-” He spoke hastily. “There is no way.”
XD laughed with a knowing look. “It does have a mind of its own, often time.” He offered the insight.
George groaned and raked his, now free, hands down his face.
————————————————————
I genuinely couldn’t figure out how to end that, so have fun with an abrupt stop! Anyways, I hope you like it!
As for a certain little bug wondering around; I hope you enjoyed it and that it was as torturous as possible. It’s still cushiony because I’m a softy and you’re a sadist, but I hope you liked the little stuff I threw in.

No Out-Tickling the Tickle God
hello!! this is the fic I was talking about the other day inspired by this post!! by none other than the legend @mushiewrites (with additions from me, @fluffallamaful and @cayjuno as well of course)
tldr for anyone who hasn't read/seen the post, the hc is that dreamxd's cloak/cape kind of has a mind of its own and can move by itself, and if it senses danger (e.g. someone reaching over to tickle XD or something, just for an example) it will protect by wrapping around the assailant and trapping them in some way... and George just so happens to be the one in the crossfire
again shoutout to mushie for coming up with this awesome concept, couldn't have done this without you king <3
lee!george, ler!dreamxd, 2.9k words
enjoy!!
--
"Ugh, crap," George mumbled, brow furrowed and head tilted where he stood looking up into his closet. He glanced over at XD, who was sitting idly on George's bed, fiddling with the edge of his pillow. The two of them had gotten into the habit of sitting in silence in George's house, usually with a music disc playing faintly from the jukebox, each doing their own individual tasks and sometimes coming together for mutual ones.
So, there they were, in George's bedroom simply enjoying each other's presence,  until George got bored and decided to rearrange a few decorations around his bedroom and living area. Nothing too drastic, he simply settled on moving a few picture frames and pillows around idly until he found an arrangement he liked most.
George was planning to hang a specific painting in a newly free spot on the wall, one that he knew he'd put in the closet the last time he rearranged his decorations with Foolish and Tina.
The only issue was that Foolish had been the one to put it away for him. And Foolish had put it on the top shelf… that George just barely couldn't reach.
He stood on his toes and tried to reach up to it, but it was pushed back too far on the shelf for him to grab it. His shoulders slumped as he stood flat again, running a hand through his hair and scrunching his nose up in discouragement.
"Hey, XD?" George spoke softly, gaining the attention of the God across the room from him, who looked up upon hearing their name.
"Yes?" XD spoke just as softly, the echo of their voice toned down from the calm environment. George looked away from XD and back at the shelf, reassessing his options. He stood up on his toes again, stretching his arm up as far as he could with a strained sound, but the tip of his middle finger barely grazed the corner before he dropped down again. He sighed in defeat, tilting his head back and looking over to XD once more.
"Can you grab that painting from the top shelf for me? I can't reach it," George asked, pointing at the painting he was talking about. XD smiled at George's attempts, their smile visible underneath the bottom of their mask as they nodded and stood up. Their cape fluttered in the breeze from the open window as they floated (George still wasn't used to the floating) over to the closet, tilting their chin up and then down to see what George was talking about. XD reached their upper set of arms up, adjusting the collar of their cape before touching their fingertip to the corner of the frame.
"This?" XD asked for confirmation. George nodded, eyes suddenly flicking from XD's face to the space where their cloak had fallen back with their arm movements. George tilted his head in thought, a realization hitting him.
XD's entire side was exposed. And their ribs, and underarms, by proxy.
And they weren't looking at him. They were busy fiddling with the painting.
He could just reach out and poke XD. And they would have no idea it was coming.
Surely if the roles were reversed, XD would do the same to him, right? George knows XD has made it abundantly clear that they're not above taking advantage of George in order to tickle him. They're not above taking advantage of how ticklish he is and how small he is in comparison, but come on, be fair, George is a human, XD is a god, and XD is, like, 9 feet tall! It is not George's fault that XD has the upper hand every single time, he can't help it that XD has super strength and can pin George down and grab him and throw him around like a rag doll and they can use their stupid magic, and sure George never really puts up a fight but he—
Anyway… George deserved to take a bit of revenge… right? He deserved to take advantage of this moment. He did!
"There's some stuff on top, hold on, I'll move it," XD mumbled after a beat of silence.
"Okay, be careful," George said, trying to seem nonchalant with his plan as he took a step closer. Wordlessly, XD pulled out the smaller frame on top of the one George was grabbing for, showing George a small, square picture of a blue bird with a white border. George hummed in thought, reaching a hand out and taking the smaller frame from XD, setting it aside on top of his dresser. "I'll find a place for it. Anything else?"
"Uh…" XD hummed as well, turning back to the shelf. They were distracted for a few seconds, and George smirked, knowing that was his time to strike. He took another step forward, close enough now that his elbow grazed the edge of XD's cape, and reached his arm up, his fingers heading right for the exposed skin under their arm.
Suddenly, just as he was about to make contact, his entire body jerked to the left with a force he had never felt before.
He let out a small yelp from the shock of the action, regaining his balance and righting himself where he stood. He attempted to reach out to rest his hand on the wall and steady himself, but he found it difficult– no, impossible?– to move his arms. He glanced up at XD, who had just looked back over at him, before he noticed that XD didn't have their cloak on anymore. He looked down at his immobile arms, letting out a gasp and another strained sound when he saw the familiar, dark forest green fabric wrapped around his arms, holding his wrists together and completely surrounding his hands.
"Wh–" George muttered, pulling at his arms again with no luck and letting out a shaky breath. It seemed that the more he struggled and pulled frantically at his hands, the more the cloak tightened its hold on him. He finally made eye contact with XD again, his face contorted into a confused and surprised expression, his eyes wide and eyebrows tight. "What the hell, XD?"
"What– what did you do?"
"What do you MEAN what did I do? You– your stupid cape just– like– attacked me!" George explained, gesturing around with his trapped arms.
"I'm sorry, I don't– I'm not sure why it would've done that, usually it only does that if it senses danger or something, but you're not dangerous…" XD explained, carefully pushing the items back onto the closet shelf so they wouldn't fall as he turned to fully face George. "Could you have done something else without realizing?"
"I-I don't know! I just– I went to poke your side and it just shot at me and grabbed me! Get it off me!" George explained, looking up at XD and blinking slowly when their expression changed from worried and confused to surprised and… wait, was that… a smile? "What's that look for? I don't like when you look at me like that…" George's shoulders sank slightly as XD stood up straighter, his arms pinching in closer to his body as he attempted to make himself seem smaller as a new bout of nerves flooded through him.
"Oh, Georgie… I think I know what happened now," XD's grin widened a bit more, baring their sharp, pointy teeth. The echo in their voice had come back, their tone and volume sinking lower as it did, just to make the butterflies sitting dormant in George's tummy erupt in a wave of flapping wings and fluttering bodies. "You tried to tickle me."
George was silent for a second, knowing he'd been caught red handed, but unable to stop his brain from trying to cover his tracks anyway.
"N-no, why– why would I do that? That's ridiculous," He tries to explain, pulling his elbows even tighter into his body and struggling to free himself again. XD's head tilted to the side condescendingly.
"No?" They practically purred, leaning down slightly closer to George, their voice rumbling through George's chest more the closer they were. "Don't lie."
"I'm not lying!" George continued to defend, taking a step backwards until his back hit the corner of the closet behind him. He gasped at the impact, whipping his head around to see the wall behind him before quickly turning back around. As soon as he turned back, he was face to face with XD's mask, mere inches from his face, causing him to jump slightly and curl in on himself more.
"Are we forgetting we admitted to it?" XD said, pursing their lips and speaking as if they were talking to a small child. George had, in fact, forgotten that part.
"Um…"
"I don't like liars, George."
"XD, wait–"
"You know what we do to liars, don't you?"
"You're making it sound like you're gonna kill me!" George yelped out with a small smile. XD couldn't help but smile, their smile quickly turning into giggles, which in turn made George giggle. Soon enough, they were both laughing at the absurdity of the situation, and XD shook their head at the thought.
"You're insufferable. Shut up, that's it," XD spoke through their wide smile before finally cutting to the chase and grabbing George's sides, squeezing up and down.
"NO!" George squeaked, his entire body flinching as he tried to fight against his own imminent laughter. He only lasted a few seconds, though, as XD switched to using their long nails to lightly claw at George's tummy. George burst out laughing, pressing back into the wall and curling up, squeezing his arms tightly to his torso and shaking his head. "XD– don't– ahahahaha!"
"Don't? You didn't seem to have any issues trying to do it to me," XD accused as he now used both hands to scratch at George's tummy and sides. George squealed again as XD's pointer finger found its way up to his ribs, and upon noticing the reaction, XD made sure it stayed there. George's body flinched again, almost against his own will, and his spine straightened as he tilted his head back against the wall he was pressed up against.
"Nohohoho–" George squeezed his eyes shut, resorting to pushing and hitting at XD's arms with his trapped hands. "XD-hehe plehehehease!"
"Aw, looks like someone can't take what they were so eager to dish out, huh, Georgie?" XD continued to tease George like their life depended on it as they scratched their nails over George's ribs.
"Shuhuhut uhuhup!" George protested, one foot kicking at the ground when XD reached a particularly sensitive spot on his side. "Stohohop– ahahaha- plehehehease, I–"
"Oh, don't even bother, you're being so dramatic, I'm barely even tickling you," XD teased, the playful tone of their voice making George shake his head more, the flush on his cheeks getting darker as he did.
"Ihihit's stihihill so bahahahad!"
"Oh no, is it?" XD pursed their lips again, bringing back their baby voice just to see George scrunch his nose up as he laughed at the tease. Despite how flustered he was, and the fact that the question was clearly rhetorical, George nodded anyway,  and XD couldn't help but smile. They were almost distracted by how much they loved paying attention to George's reactions– the bright pink flush on his cheeks, the lines near his eyes from squeezing them shut, his scrunched up nose, and the way he squirmed whichever way he could while still attempting to push at XD with no luck– until they remembered what their goal was in any situation like this.
Tickle George until he cries. Or apologizes for being a menace. Whichever comes first.
"Aww, you poor thing," XD continued, quickly falling back into the swing of teasing George before he could notice their faltering. "Here, I know how to make it better."
"Nohoho, XDehehe dohont, noho– don't!" George pleaded, shaking his head more when he noticed XD slide down to rest on their knees. It took George a mere few seconds to realize what was happening, and suddenly he had a burst of strength that he knew he needed to use right that second otherwise he would be screwed. "Stohop, dohohon't, XD!" George felt four hands hold onto him then, two on his sides and two holding the outside of his thighs to keep him in place, and Geotge knew he was done for when he heard a sharp intake of breath. He squirmed as best as he could between the wall behind him and the large body of the God in front of him crowding him in, letting out a frustrated groan when he still, still, couldn't free his own hands from XD's stupid cloak! "NO! NOHOHO do NOT, do not, don't, please, XD– XD NAHAHA–!"
Against all of George's many protests, XD blew a raspberry on George's side, and if the smacking of fabric on the back of their head was any indication, it definitely got the reaction they wanted.
"Ohohoh my gohod…" George breathed out as he calmed down a little, the initial shockwave of tingly tickles flitting away.
Until he heard XD breathe in again.
"NO, NOHO DON'T DO IT AGAHAHAIN–" George protested, holding his breath as XD blew another on his other side. He held in his laughter for a few seconds before it busted out, his voice turning raspy and high pitched from the force of the laugh.
Finally, after longer than XD had expected to be fair, George's ability to hold his own weight up against the wall faltered, and he slid down the wall slowly, ending up sitting with his knees to his chest in front of where XD was kneeling.
XD took that as their cue to finish up, and he willed their cloak to remove itself from George's wrists, letting his arms free after what felt like years to George. The cloak then slid its way behind George, poking briefly at his sides to get him to arch his back so it could slide between him and the wall easier, before wrapping itself around his curled up shoulders like a warm blanket. XD giggled softly as George flexed his fingers in their newfound freedom, then they reached their hands down to gently rub the ghost tickles away from George's body.
"I hate you," George said suddenly, his tone very matter-of-fact. The blunt words made XD cackle in surprise.
"You know that's not true."
"It should be, after that. That was torture."
"George, you were literally going to do the same thing to me, like, a minute before I got you."
"That was way worse than anything I could've even thought of doing to you!"
"Alright, I will admit it was a little bit of an unfair fight, but that's a little dramatic, isnt it?"
"NO! It is not! You played dirty, you held me hostage with your stupid cape, which is apparently sentient now, and I had no chance of escaping!"
"You better watch it, the cape can still hear you, by the way,"
"Wh- AH!" George yelped as the cape suddenly drilled into the backs of his ribs, arching his back and slapping a hand over his mouth at the embarrassing noise he'd just let out. XD immediately burst out laughing, hands instinctively pulling George closer when he drove his head forward to hide his face in their shoulder.
"Aww, Georgie," XD cooed into George's ear, letting the cloak wrap further around George before wrapping both sets of their own arms around him as well, hugging him close as he calmed down.
"Shut up, idiot," George muttered, voice muffled from his position. They were both silent for a few moments before George spoke up again. "I am so getting you back for this."
"Oh yeah? How are you gonna do that?"
"Dunno yet… maybe I'll get the cape on my side next time and I'll get it to help me."
"Oh, will you now?" XD felt a nod against his neck. "Well, too bad the cape is connected to my brain. Otherwise you might have had a shot with that."
"Well… I'll just have to wait until you're in a lee mood, won't I?" George said as he slowly pulled away from their hug. XD looked almost taken aback, blinking down at George before asking,
"…What?"
"Well," George started, meeting XD's eyes. "It works through your subconscious, right?" A nod. "So I'll just have to wait until you subconsciously want tickles… then it'll work." XD was at a loss for words, heart sinking in their chest as they watched the corners of the cloak rise from George's shoulders. George's smile quickly turned sour, something sinister in his expression. "And judging by how nervous you just got… I'm guessing I might not have to wait that long."
"George, wait, we can talk about this–"
"I don't think the cloak has time to talk right now, DreamXD."
"No, no, this isn't fair, you can't use my own brain against me! George? George! This is not fair– GEORGE, NO!"
George's house was once again filled with boisterous laughter, the sound echoing through the rooms and bouncing off the walls. They may not have gotten all the decorations hung up that day, but it wasn't hard to tell that neither of them really minded at the end of the day.

older prompts… could i have ler XD lee gogs with silent laughter? 🙏🏼
Warning(s): Intense Tickling. It's all very consenual!
George collapsed into XD's lap, his goggles lost in his disheveled hair. He felt as if he was on cloud nine, laying back and giggling himself hysterical as his tickle spots stopped tingling. It was definitely one of his favorite things with tickling, the delightful aftermath when his stomach dully ached from leftover laughter and his flushed face got cool after his happy tears dried. At some point, a hand found its way behind his right ear, and began to gently massage.
XD watched George become a puddle, a deeply satisfied rumble purring through their chest at the mortal's dazed and blissful expressions. George's chin tilted to the touch, staring - unfocused - up at them with a soft expression that had yet to come back to Earth.
They almost felt bad.
George sunk deeper into XD's cloak, finding his way back to the land of the conscious after a very unfair tickle fight, it hardly ever was when XD played unfair, when suddenly he harshly jolted so fast he nearly fell out of god's lap.
XD's hands, all four he giddily noticed, were delicately placed on each respective knee and thigh. He felt himself want to tense, but his energy was entirely expelled early, leaving him to take a deep breath and wait for it.
He glanced up, making eye contact with XD's downright evil smile, before his lungs collapsed the air out of them.
XD's hands squeezed, and squeezed, and squeezed-
George gasped, his head tilted back in a wide open-mouth smile. Yet nothing came out aside from tiny gasp and little wheezes, it sounded nothing like his high-pitched cackles.
But XD loved it, beginning to squeeze with more devious vigor. He began that deep rumble again, prompting a little squeak in-between his silent laughter.
It was tortous, George gasped. One of XD's hands wandered to pinch below the kneecap, and his leg kicked out on reflex. Every inhale he took sent a lovely burning yet tingly twitch to his lungs, his face so pink he nearly didn't mind having his head tilt up in constant mirth.
"You like this." XD causally narrated, and George couldn't find himself disagreeing - even if he was halfway between heaven and hell. He barely gave a twitch or a shove, more concerned about raising his hands up to grip at his hair in some way to expel new pent-up energy.
It was a favorite of George's, yes, when he's been tickled so much he can't put up his walls anymore. When he's focused on how he's feeling rather than embarrassment or doubts.
It was George's favorite, but it was XD's too.

okay so prompt: whatttttt about soft tickles, turning into more playful tickles? ler!XD, and maybe dream and george as lees? maybe sapnap and another lee? or if you have any lee in mind at all lmao it doesn’t have to be two people but 👀 ler!XD supremacy 👀
As a god, XD had many godly powers beyond the comprehension of any mortal beings. Yet somehow the one that made XD feel the strongest was his ability to turn humans into puddles with just his fingers, specifically his sharp nails. His current subject to this power right now was George.
The poor man was completely subdued by XD’s “power” trying with all his might to get away, even though he wasn’t exactly moving much at all. He was sitting in the god’s lap underneath a tree, with hands wrapped around him from behind in a comforting and tickly hug.
XD allowed his fingers to traces up his rib cage, and in response George arched his back slowly, and faint squeal passing his lips between his giggles. XD slowed to a stop and rested their head on George’s shoulder, “Sorry for always tickling you like this,” XD apologized, chuckling at George’s sigh of content as he finally was able to relax fully into the hold, “You’re just to easy to tickle,” XD admitted both as a tease and also just saying the truth.
George swallowed his embarrassment at the comment, smirking as he felt a bit of a playful mood come over him, “Well, I guess it’s a good thing I’m pretty easy to tickle, since you’re only average at tickling,” George kept in his laughter when he felt XD tense.
The god spoke once again, but this time voice dark and distorted, the voice he usually used when speaking to other mortals to uphold his appearance.
“What did you just say to the me? The god of your very world,” XD’s hands came back to life, this time with more vigor. George erupted into amused laughter, yelping out apologies once XD’s mouth open to begin nibbling along his neck. The ticklish shockwaves shooting from the sharp teeth in that spot down his spine and making him squirm.
“Never mess with the god of tickles, foolish mortal.” George was too caught up in his own laughter to respond, but if he could he would’ve called XD a dork.

Hello Fluff! My brain has currently been overrun with Lee GeorgeHD, and I can’t find enough content on him.
Can I please have a little Lee! HD Ler! XD with soft tummy tickles? Thank you 🥰
prompt from this post
thank you for waiting 🥰
🦙🦙🦙…
HD felt his previous iron-grip hold on XD’s forearms loosen, his head tossing itself back into the larger’s chest without his permission, and his body collapsing back into the god against his will.
A drastic change had occurred in XD’s technique — HD noticed. The same fingers that had previously sent panicked impulses and waves of adrenaline coursing his body now merely created buzzes of energy at the surface of his skin. His belly jumped and flinched with each swirl that XD’s now gentle fingers completed. The tips of them trailing over the quivering skin so softly, and nails only ever grazing the skin for milliseconds at a time.
“You’ve melted.” XD’s commented from behind, softening their echoed voice to a low rumble so not to startle the limp god in his arms.
HD’s body stiffened in defence, but only managed to hold the position for a few moments before he sank back down into XD again. His previous cackles had tapered off into tiny hiccuped breaths, his brain going into overdrive has it desperately attempted to comprehend each nerve spasm that overcame him, trying to give his body direction to combat the sensation.
“You love this.” XD remarked again, noticing the smaller deity’s uncharacteristic lack of sass. He watched the stripes on their cheeks swirl with colour, chuckling at the whined complaint that his comment received.
He couldn’t help the spike of disappointment that he felt when a few of HD’s helper hands conjured themselves into the air around him, half expecting them to tear away his wrists from HD’s body as they had done so many times before. But much to his surprise, and delight, the hands kept their distance from his own this time, instead all crowding themselves over HD’s face instead.
“And yet you’re embarrassed.” XD identified, a wide, giddy grin settling itself underneath his mask. He made no effort to tame the surge of affection that raced through him, squeezing the smaller god tighter into his chest.

Comfort In The Big Things
Summary: George is sad and XD just so happens to be very good at cheering him up.
Warnings: Descriptions on sadness
Dear Mushie gifted me with this prompt
———————————————————
George sighed and wrapped his blanket tighter around himself. Even though he knew the feeling wasn’t rational, he couldn’t help the oppressing loneliness that had settled into his bones. The silence in his bedroom certainly wasn’t helping. It seemed the entire world had left; he heard no birds outside of the window, no rustling of leaves, not even the occasional creak of his house.
His expression soured and his vision went blurry with unshed tears. He turned to lay on his stomach in hopes of falling asleep, burying his head into the multitude of pillows and scattered blankets. He cuddled into one of his pillows, gripping it tightly in anger, fear, or maybe desperation. His inability to name the feeling only added to his frustration. He let out another sigh and closed his eyes.
He felt himself drift off into a world of fully colored shapes and sounds that weren’t really there. Just before he finally slipped fully out of consciousness, the air tensed and an audible ‘pop’ resounded. George tensed.
“George?” A double voice called. XD took a step forward as he took in his surroundings. Clothes and tools were scattered across the normally tidy room and it was entirely devoid of its usual golden light. It was cold, the type of cold that seeps into you and weighs you down. XD immediately knew something was off, very off.
The deity’s gaze landed on the lump on the bed bundled under the unnecessary amount of blankets George insisted on having. He supposed it came in handy in situations like this.
“George, what are you doing?” XD asked as he walked towards the bed, eventually slowly sitting down beside George so as to not startle him.
There was shuffling from under the blanket and George stuck his head out, even though only one side of his face was visible, the other side still being smushed into a pillow. His hair was sticking in every direction and a grumpy look was on his face. As adorable as it seemed to XD at first, he quickly noticed more signs telling him that his friend was in distress.
“You look strange.”
George huffed, looking away from XD. “Yeah?”
XD brushed his thumb across George’s cheek, something he used to do to Dream when he was little to sooth him. “You look sad.” He paused. “It’s strange to see you sad.”
George flushed, both at the attention and the fact that he was read so easily. “I guess.” He whispered, his voice not allowing for itself to be any louder. He rolled onto his back to fully face XD.
XD hummed, “Is there anything you need? Anything I can do to make you feel better?” He asked, fully prepared to give George the world should he ask for it.
George immediately wanted to deny the offer, already feeling like he was taking up too much time and space. But his mind flashed to times before, when he and XD would sit together for hours in comfortable silence. Sometimes it wasn’t silent and XD would tell ancient stories, painting mental pictures of mystical worlds.
“Can-“ George took XD’s hand in his, “Can you stay?” He asked timidly.
XD smiled and accepted the request without another thought. He shifted into a more comfortable position and lifted George onto his lap. George was laying with his back against XD’s chest, both of them leaned back contently. They sat like that for a long while in peaceful silence until George spoke up.
“XD?”
“Yes?” The deity answered softly.
George lifted XD’s hand and set it on his own stomach. “Could you..” He trailed off, hoping XD got the message.
“Of course, George.” XD complied with the endearing request. He pushed George’s shirt to expose his tummy, sides, and a few ribs. The gentle swipe up was enough to make George’s breath hitch and a smile spread across his face. XD smiled and began to delicately dance his clawed fingers on the smaller man’s lower ribs.
Immediately, George felt fluttering sparks spread across his ribs and sides from the small buzzes of energy. He instinctively tried to wiggle away from the swirling sensations wracking his body as soft laughter poured from his bright smile. His laughter turned into high pitched giggling when XD drug his fingers with a featherlight touch in the divots of his ribs. Being between the bones and directly on the muscle amplified the ticklish feeling, George found it impossible to contain his mirth.
XD smiled fondly at the mortal, finding his reactions unbearably adorable. He found himself chuckling along with his friend and feeling a shared sense of glee. He chuckled again when he noticed George gently kicking his legs to dispel the new energy surging through his being.
“Where are you going, George?” XD purred into George’s ear.
The low vibrations caused George to gasp and have squeaks intermingle with his laughter. He scrunched his neck to his shoulder and sank in the god’s arms.
“Oh no,” XD tsked, “None of that.” He hefted George up back to his previous spot and resumed gently, yet diabolically, tickling his ribs. XD watched in fascination as his gentle touch left goosebumps and made muscles jump. He was in the midst of trying to comprehend the meaning of the reactions when George arched his back with a high squeal.
“EHehexdehEHE!” George shrieked as XD’s hands skimmed the backs of the sides of his ribs.
Noticing the change in George’s reactions, XD used the pads of his fingers, specifically the pointer and thumb, to pinch the small area around the back of George’s ribs he could reach. George made this especially difficult by pressing himself further back into XD’s chest. As XD’s arms were practically wrapped around the man in a loose backwards hug, he wormed his hands to wiggle his four fingers on both hands into George’s back, slotting each finger between a different rib and lightly digging into the front from where his thumbs were placed to stabilize.
George crumbled into barking cackles. The feeling on his rib cage was only broken up by the occasional tweak, but was otherwise a continuous, and extremely ticklish, massage.
George related the feeling to the time Sapnap and Dream took turns kneading and drilling into the most sensitive areas of his back, claiming they were giving him a massage and it was his fault for being so ticklish in the first place. In the end, he was a giggly puddle on the forest floor; he would never tell either of them that it had the same effect as an actual massage.
“Hehehey! HEHEY!” He squawked through his bright, boisterous laughter.
XD’s own small giggles rumbled through his chest, sending a soothing vibration into George and furthering his giggly bliss. “Tickle, tickle, Georgie~” He crooned. He brought his pace down back to a soft, never ending trace on George’s ribs; he occasionally strayed down to his sides and hips to see George squeal and wiggle.
“Thahat was cruel.” George spoke, a wide smile still sprawled out across his face.
“Yeah?” XD asked teasingly. “Is that why you liked it so much?” George blushed, spluttering out half-formed excuses. XD simply rolled his eyes and squeezed George tighter in their prolonged hug.
George felt his mirth fully subside, leaving him with a calm sense of content. He melted into XD’s hug and flipped his head onto the deity’s shoulder, catching a glimpse of the sunset falling across the horizon. He groaned to himself, his dull guilt returning at the realization that he’d definitely kept his friend from getting any other tasks completed. He drug his hand down his face, “XD, I’m so sorry. I didn’t realize how late it had gotten, shouldn’t you be going? I don’t want to cause more of a burden than I already hAHAhahave- StohOHOP WIHIhith thehe rihihibs!”
XD nodded and stopped his hands from where they had begun squeezing both sides of George’s ribs, his large hands being able to cover the entirety of the spot. He took a large breath and ducked his head into George’s neck and suddenly blew a rough raspberry in the crook, having gotten rid of his mask minutes before as he trusted he wouldn’t need it.
“You-” XD said between quick raspberries placed around George’s neck, ears, and collarbones. “-are not a ‘burden’.” Added air quotes to the last word, using the motion as an excuse to wiggle his fingers at George.
George roared with laughter, frantically nodding his head, “AHAHALRIGHT! IHIhihi geheHEHET IHIHIT–EXEX DEHEHE!”
Said god had begun to softly nibble the side of George’s neck, his sharp teeth dragging across the sensitive skin maddingly. He found it difficult to continue as he smiled at George’s boyish hysterics.
George went limp in the god’s hold, he was content despite the intensely ticklish feeling and uncontrollable laughter. His face felt hot and he was certain his blush had been noticed by XD, he was grateful that he was saved from the embarrassment of it being pointed out.
Finally deciding his friend had had enough, he stopped the ruthless tickling. He patted George’s stomach in a way that was meant to be comforting, but made the man jolt with a giggly yelp. “Calm down, little one. I’m done.” He said with a soft croon in his tone, openly showing his endearment.
“Ohohoh my gohohod-“ George said breathlessly. He felt floaty from the amount of adrenaline and joy flowing through his body. He looked up at XD with a dazed smile, just beginning to calm down from his remaining giggle fit.
“I mean it, you’re never a burden to me. I have eternity to spend doing less important things than this.” XD reassured. He took George’s hand in his, rubbing his thumb back and forth across the back to help ground him.
George grinned wider, a pleased flush coming back to his face. He turned around so they were chest to chest and wrapped his arms around XD, hugging him tightly. He felt himself being weighed down with the pull of sleep.
XD ran a hand firmly on George’s back, easily lulling him to sleep. “Goodnight, George.”
XD knew he’d find himself in this position again. He knew George would have bad days. He also knew that he’d be there to help him through every single one.

I’ve been in the bbu community for a long time and have loved Barnaby since I first saw his character sheet on the Kickstarter TwT
He’s a comfort character for me alongside Aristotle.
And with sun and moon being comfort characters also….how could I not do this?
Barnaby would be the silliest ler if you ask me! (Even if he’s wanting some new party guests..)
