"Weatherington, I know that you do not have your feet on my desk." She sighed, pushing on his ankles to knock them off the oak desk. She was too jetlagged from her trip, dressed down in a pair of jeans. Rather than going around the desk, she collapsed next to him, leaning back. "I am guessing that you and Coco had fun without me." She was a bit protective of her little kitten, but she'd entrusted the dragon with her baby. The vet student would be the first to know if something went wrong.

Letting out a dramatic gasp as his feet hit the ground, Leo turned to the female in a look of disbelief, “Uh, I missed you too, professor,” he huffed in reply. Waiting for her to settle down, he turned toward her with a grin and said, "Of course we had a great time. She and Squash are besties now. I did spend the whole time consoling her though because she was complaining to me that you are too strict and should be more giving." Wiggling his brows, he extended his hand out, palms up, and smiled expectedly, "I will accept my souvenir now."

TASK #20, THE FUTURE

FINDING BALANCE

Evelyn had never been a stranger to hard work. It was something that she had done her entire life, and prided herself from never being one to shy away from a challenge. So graduating at the top of her class, with double majors, was nothing she couldn’t handle and handle well. But like many collage graduates, her plans ended up having nothing to do with the degrees that decorated her wall. With more hard work and a little magical intervention, she was strong once again and ready to reenter the world of figure skating competition. Her welcome wasn’t as warm as she had anticipated, as the skating world had long since found a new darling in her absence. Evelyn refused to be stopped though, and worked hard to rise back to the top. They may have had youth, but she had something at times even more valuable: experience. Just like she had in her career before, she would not be stopped, and after a few years finally realized her dream of Olympic gold. The feeling was euphoric, unlike anything that she had ever experienced. She had done it, fulfilled a dream that she had had since she was three years old and stepped onto the ice for the first time. With that happiness though came a sobering realization. Even though she was better, she was also not getting any younger. And what could she accomplish that would top a silver and gold medal? So with the help and support of her family, Evelyn made the decision to retire from competing. She still performs as much as she can, touring with shows and taking whatever offers come her way. She also decided to start her training to become a coach, wanting to give to someone everything that was given to her. Life threw an opportunity her way first, one that she couldn’t say no to.

She had kept in touch with the friends that she had made during her time on the island, treasuring those that she had grown close to. One in particular being a certain playful dragon named Leo Weatherington. They seemed like a mismatched pair, he as adventurous as she was reserved. But maybe that was why they worked. He brought out a side of her that no one else did, so when Leo made the offer of travel and adventure, Evelyn couldn’t say no. With no husband, family, or job yet to hold her down, she knew that this was the time to, for once in her life, to actually live. And boy..did they live. Nude beaches in Europe. Strip clubs and gambling in Las Vegas. Drunk karaoke…wherever they could find the opportunity. Evelyn was having the time of her life and showed no signs of slowing, all the years of suppression finally coming out in pure, unadulterated debauchery. There was one thing that did finally stop them: the law. After one particularly wild night in the Red Light district of Paris, Evelyn was arrested for public intoxication. And oh yeah..nudity. Luckily Leo was able to bust her out, and they made the mutual decision that it was time to bring her home to Greenwich.

The years with Leo had taught her the valuable lesson on balance. Evelyn went back into her training, soon becoming a sought-after coach to Olympic hopefuls. She still remembers to have fun though, and calls on her dragon friend when life gets too stressful and she needs to let loose. When she found out about the reunion, she didn’t hesitate a moment before packing up to make the trip, looking forward to reconnecting with her friends and hopefully seeing Leo again too.
