Closing his eyes Jae-min tried to focus on the task at hand. The island was more interesting than he thought. He was slightly annoyed he hadn’t ventured here sooner, but it was fine, he was here now and he would take full advantage of everything it had to offer. 

The water calmed him, his shoes were off and his jacket fold closer on the shore as he focused on his illusions. It’s been a while since he tried to make anything, but the noise nearby was distracting him too much. With a huff, he opened his eyes, but didn’t turn.

“You know,” he started, “I have ears and know that you are there. Just come out and reveal yourself.”

“We are the same!” Ana motioned between them with a huge smile, one hand still holding on to the big fluffy bear. At the feeling of the comforting paw on her, Ana looked up to the creature, the smile on her face turned more giddy in response. 

Scooting closer, she made sure the other man had space to also fully enjoy the warmth of his fluffy friend. Leaning her head against the fur, she looked up as if to search for her thoughts before answering, “Ma…nus. I like it.”        

Magnus couldn't help but chuckle and smile as he watched the woman cuddle up against Bumbles.  It was always that way whenever he saw someone joyfully cuddling with his lifelong companion.  It helped that Bumbles was a pretty damn good judge of character, so anybody he was OK with Magnus would give the benefit of the doubt to.  "Why thank you, I've had that name for a while," he grinned, gently teasing the girl.  “So you know my name, what's yours?

Houseguest | Evie&Ana

"That should be enough, right? I guess I can always get more if I need to.." Evelyn murmured to Rufus and Titania, who simply stared at her in reponse with their big shiny eyes. No help, as always. Still she was unsure if she had enough food for their new guest. All she had heard of this Gulana was that she really liked eggs, so Evie had gotten as many as could in good conscience. The shelves of the market were becoming more and more bare as other islanders were buying for themselves as well as countless houseguests and the island was still in the beginning stages of rebuilding. Everything was still so scary and uncertain, which was why Evie had without question opened her home to anyone who needed shelter. A chirp from Rufus and the chime of the doorbell brought the brunette out of the kitchen and to the front door, a welcoming smile on her face as she opened it with her good arm.

"Hi! You must be Gulana, I'm Evie. Come in, please. Make yourself at home"

Survival Instincts || Jackson & Ana

Jackson honestly couldn't say how much time had passed since he'd seen the administration building blow up, dissolving the island into chaos as spells lifted. He knew it couldn't be that long, and yet it also seemed like it had been an eternity. Being a human on an island of supernaturals, especially those who've recently been unbound was unsurprisingly dangerous. Add on the fact you're a mouthy human who's pissed off more people than he can count? It's downright deadly.

His head pounds as Jackson lingers at the edge of the woods--he'd never been that much of an outdoorsy type, having barely gone camping in his youth and preferring the modern comforts of heating and indoor plumbing, and yet that seemed to be where he found the most safety. Heat, of course, was never an issue on the island, the opposite in fact--Jackson was pretty sure he reeked at this point with how much he's sweat and the lack of a shower.

A shower would be nice, and maybe if he could make his way back to Noah's to see--no. He stopped the train of thought, he was further from there now, forced away by groups of supers that were having all too much fun with the lack of rules that seemed to exist at the moment--what the actual fuck was going on?

He was watching a group pass by the woods now, crouched low and watching, praying they couldn't hear or smell him, and if they could, they'd take no interest--is this what it felt like to be a rabbit in the woods, he wonders to himself silently as he watches. So caught up in the group passing in front of him, Jackson hadn't noticed the quiet eyes on him, watching him from behind. It wasn't until a finger tapped his shoulder, causing him to jolt violently, teeth clamping down on the inside of his cheek to keep from yelling as he comes face to face with a young woman, and all he can do is hope that he's not about to be someone's lunch.
