Ravioli Ship Week Day 4: Beach Episode

“Do you have everything? Books? Bathing suit?” Ravio asks.

“Mhmm!” Link hums. Bun woke up little today, but Ravio hadn’t wanted to let their trip go to waste. He wants his bunny to enjoy the beach no matter buns age, so he makes sure to pack some of buns favourite stories and snacks. Toys are staying home to keep them from getting covered in sand.

Link bounces on buns toes as bun waits for him to finish double checking and closing the door. The moment the key clicks in the lock Link is grabbing his arm and tugging him towards the path. Ravio laughs and tugs bun back to link their hands together.

“Slow down, bunny! The beach isn’t that far, we can take our time.”

It’s true- they live about an hour away by foot. Plenty of time to get some of Link’s excess energy out, but short enough neither of them will be too tired to enjoy the beach when they arrive.

True to Ravio’s word it isn’t long before they make it to their destination. He sets their things down a good distance from the water and manages to get Link out of buns shirt and shoes before sitting back and watching the boy make a dash for the waves.

Ravio settles on a towel with one of his books, content to simply sit and read for a while. He makes it through a few paragraphs before there’s a loud squeal followed by childish laughter from further down the beach.

He glances up to see Link dancing away from an oncoming wave, a bright grin lighting buns face.

“Be careful, bunny!” he calls.

“I am!”

Time passes, the sun climbing higher in the sky. Ravio is thankful he chose to wear shorts and a loose shirt today as the temperature rises further. Link comes back a few times, dropping off interesting seashells or rocks before scurrying away again.

Ravio is deep in his book when he becomes aware of something rustling through the bag at his side. He looks over to see Link pawing through it, tongue sticking out in concentration.

“If you want a snack or something, you can just ask,” Ravio says. Link gives a startled squeak.

Link pulls buns arms out of the bag to reveal a familiar patchwork purple bunny plush clutched in thin hands. Ravio raises an eyebrow in surprise.

“You brought Lola?” A nod. “What happened to leaving your toys at home so they don’t get sandy?”

“W’nted t’ show her th’ beach,” Link mumbles, holding the toy close. Ravio sighs.

“Well, alright. Just be careful with her, okay? I don’t think she’d like being dropped in the water very much.” Link nods enthusiastically and springs to buns feet. Ravio watches bun go, shaking his head.

Link spends another hour or so exploring the beach with Lola in hand, peeking into tide pools and watching crabs and other creatures crawl along the sand. Ravio’s sure there will be plenty of stories once they pack up and head home for the day.

Eventually, though, Link tires of running back and forth and splashing in the waves, coming over to plop down next to Ravio for a break. The merchant hands over a snack and some water, which are accepted gratefully, before brushing some of the sand for buns hair. Amazingly, there doesn’t seem to be a speck of it on Lola.

Unbidden, a chuckle escapes his lips. Link blinks up at him, curious, and Ravio gives bun a smile. “Just happy to be here, that’s all.”

Link nuzzles his hand with a smile of buns own, which only grows when Ravio leans down to place a kiss on buns brow.

They stay like that for a little while before Ravio glances up to see the sun notably lower than it was before. He nudges Link gently.

“Are you ready to head home, little bunny mine?”

“Mhm.”

The pair of them get to their feet and begin collecting their things. Back in the bag go the towels and Ravio’s book. Link shakes off the sand before wriggling back into buns shirt and shoes, Lola in hand.

Then they set off for home.

Link chews anything and everything, sticks, flowers, grass, the occasional Korok, whatever it is it will be in his mouth if Zelda isn’t watching

Most common conversation is “Ah, ah, ah, ah! Link, don’t you dare. You know you won’t like it. It made you sick last time!” And then Link eats it anyways

He’s a very wet pup so play dates with Sidon in the water, he’s babysitter number 1 in my opinion

A lot of nose kisses, like when people rub their noses together yeah that happens

As mentioned before he’s very wet however due to the travelling he’s also very muddy

Bubble bathssss, I like to think that when everything’s normal Link is incredibly spoiled by Zelda

A lot of the time Link prefers rough play so he’s basically just throwing himself on Zelda for about ten minutes and then nudging her hand to figure out if she’s okay (which she is)

Refuses to sleep on his own, he has to be within 6 feet of Zelda or else he’ll start crying

super hyper kiddo!! almost always in the mood to play n have fun.

hi!! could you please write some headcanons for BOTW Link taking care of a really anxious child!reader (who is gender neutral)? he could be like an older brother figure to them or something!

Link is very protective of you (due to his past life having to save Aryll) and sometimes he can be just as anxious as you if you’re not near him

He has a bad habit of spoiling you sometimes, he sure does get an earful from Zelda whenever he does. 

Hylia have mercy for any monsters in the vicinity of you!

To be honest if you ever threw a tantrum he would shut down almost completely, he wouldn’t know what to do at all!

But if you ever had an anxiety attack he would wrap himself around you and wait it out. Words cannot express how much he knows what you’re going through. He's insanely grateful you won't ever have to know the feeling of the whole world depending on you to save it.  

Unfortunately being under the care of him would put you at insanely high expectations from everyone. He feels really really guilty about that. 

If it's one of those days where everyone can’t just be quiet about how strong you’d get or how great of a guard you’d be, he takes you to the great hyrule forest and tells you stories about his adventures leading up to the calamity. 

His primary way of communication is through hyrulean sign language but on some days he talks to you, thought it is short phrases

If it's one of those days where you're convinced something is coming after you or you had a nightmare he’d go around with his sword and telling you in the most playful guard tone that he couldn't find anything during his sweep around the campsite.

He loves cooking with you! and carrying you, and playing games with you, and taking you places.

Link is always gonna be there to protect you no matter what and he wants you as safe as possible and he loves being your guardian! 💚

Honestly I think Wolf regressor link is pretty similar to puppy link but a bit rougher

Wolf link is definitely a night owl, if Zelda is getting ready for bed he’s sitting outside and glaring at birds

There has been an incident with a bird and he’s never done it again because Zelda got very mad at him and he cried

He has bitten multiple people but decided to lick it better when he say they were sad

He does that little nudge that service dogs do whenever he wants something

Makes Zelda really grumpy because he stays up howling all night and when he gets really sleepy it’s like when dogs are learning to howl as puppies and it’s super cute

Little!Sick! Zelda and PlatonicCG! Urbosa

“Sick Day”

“Ahh- Achoo!”

The small princess huddled deeper into the blankets, gently sniffling. Zelda, princess of Hyrule, had come down with the common cold. Today she was set to visit Gerudo Town to discuss trade with its Chief. Though at the moment, politics were the furthest thing from the young princess’s mind.

Having come in the door with a runny nose and tired eyes, Urbosa saw right through Zelda’s insistence of being healthy. The chief was quick to escort the young princess to a guest bed, where she currently resides in a mountain of blankets.

“Little Bird,” came Urbosa’s voice through the doorway, “I’ve prepared you something!” 

Little Zelda peeked out from her covers to see Urbosa approach with a plate of toast in her hands. Setting the dish on a side table, Urbosa gently sat on the edge of the bed, beside Zelda. 

“How are you feeling?” she asked, but received no verbal response from Zelda. Instead, she gave a small smile.

“Ah, good!” Urbosa replied, no stranger to Zelda occasionally going nonverbal. In truth, Urbosa loved this side of the princess. It made the chief quite happy to spoil her little bird, and give her a break from the stress of royalty.

Picking the plate back up, Urbosa moved in closer to Zelda, holding the toast close to her mouth. “I’m more than happy to help feed you, Little Bird. You don't have to uncover your arms that way!”

At that, Zelda’s small smile grew, and she took a small bite. Though not particularly hungry, she knew the food would help her recover. It would make Miss Urbosa happy too!

The two sat in relative silence as Zelda ate, Urbosa feeling a motherly pride the entire time. Once all was eaten, Urbosa set the plate down once again. Though before she could move to get up, Zelda rolled over and hugged her!

“Thank you.” Zelda muttered softly and sleepily, making herself comfortable in Urbosa’s arms.

The Gerudo couldn't help but chuckle. “You’re very welcome, Little Bird.”
