Carving away the nightmares- (Hazbin Hotel tickle fanfic)

A/N: How many of these have I written so far? Only 2? Well what can I say, I LOVE THESE TWO! Time for part 3 everyone! ENJOY YOU LOVELY SINNERS!

Summary: Charlie has a bad dream so she rushes to her father's room looking for comfort. She gets more than what she bargained for. (in a good way)

Lucifer groaned when he heard his door burst open from his room. It was past midnight and he had just climbed into bed. After working on the latest duckling, he'd only wanted one thing in the world. To sleep for at least an hour. He knew that another meeting was calling to him really soon and his sleeping schedule was jacked with having to watch Charlie after....Lilith.

No. He wasn't gonna think like that. If Lilith wanted to leave, that's fine. He just hated that she left without a trace or the fact that he was left to pick up the peaces with his daughter. Not that she ever cared to check on them.

Now, Lucifer was taking care of Charlie himself. He didn't mind. He loved his daughter. However, there were times that he'd have to put his foot down with her. He didn't want this time to be one of them, but his grumpiness combined with his tired head was making it difficult. The fallen angel already knew that Charlie was the one that stormed into his room. No other servant dared to do it without permission.

"Charlie, I love you my little apple, but if you don't go back to bed this instant-Oof!" Lucifer was cut off as he felt his daughter wrapping her arms around his neck and felt silent sniffles along his blazer that he unfortunately slept in.

All the anger that threaten to take form had disappeared, his daughter's sadness completely taking over his parental vision. "Woah woah, hey Charlie-lee-lee. What's wrong honey apple?" he asked as Charlie cried in his blazer. "I-I had a b-b-bad dream!"

"You did?! Oh, baby c'mere." Lucifer replied, his arms now cradling his little princess. The King of Hell began slowly rock his daughter, saying comforting words to stop her crying. It wasn't until he finished singing a soft lullaby that the crying had finally stopped. Lucifer expected the song to put her to sleep, but Charlie was still very much awake. Though, her tears have dried. "You wanna talk about it, LeeLee?" he asked softly, using his little nickname for her.

Charlie sniffed and rubbed her nose. "A-Angels were c-coming to get us." Lucifer felt a chill down his spine but allowed his daughter to continue. "You were fighting them. You told me to hide and said that you'd find me....b-but you n-never did!" Lucifer could sense that his daughter's cries were about to continue, so he gently shushed her while giving her a kiss on her forehead. "Sweetie, that is never going to happen. You know why?"

"W-Why?" Charlie asked as Lucifer wiped away her tears. "Cause no matter what happens, I'm always gonna be there for you." Charlie gave him a tiny smile at his words. Lucifer raised his brow at that, wanting his daughter to not feel any more pain for that horrible nightmare. "Plus," he started before surprising Charlie by tossing her in the air and catching her with ease. Charlie squealed and giggled once her father's hands reconnected with her petit body. "It's gonna take a lot more than an army of angels to take daddy out." Charlie giggled more, her tiny hands covering her mouth. "Really?"

"Uh, like duh." Lucifer replied earning another giggle from his daughter. "I would blast those angels to oblivion. Going all 'pow pow pow ka-boom'!" Lucifer said, mimicking sound effects while also wiggling his fingers along Charlie's sides every time he said a sound effect. The princess laughed trying to swat away her father's sneaky hands.

"Oh oh and then one angels swoops in and I go, 'Hey betcha didn't see this coming.' And then I..." Lucifer purposely trailed off for a dramatic effect before swooping down to plant love bites all over Charlie's neck. Charlie balked as she felt her father's love bites. "Dahahahahahahahaddy!"

"And then, the real fun begins." Lucifer says as he booped Charlie's nose and summoned all 6 of his wings and engulfed both him and Charlie inside a little bubble. Lucifer smirked giving Charlie a kiss on her cheek before he covered up his eyes. "Just when the angels think they've won, daddy's gonna hide in plain sight and pull off a super scary face to scare them back to Heaven." Charlie couldn't respond because on of Lucifer's wings was tickling her feet. Only the sound of Charlie's giggling allowed Lucifer to know that Charlie was still there. "And it looks like...this!"

Lucifer uncovered his face, crossing his eyes, making a fake pouty face, and sticking his tongue out as the cherry on top. Charlie's laughter went up an octave as she stared at her father's silly face. "Thahahahahahahahat's silly ehehehehehehehe daddy ehehehehehehehehehe!!" Lucifer couldn't help but chuckle himself but he wasn't done yet. The fallen angel covered his face again. "Where's daddy Charlie? Where is he?" he didn't get answer for Charlie was still giggling her head off, the wing now making it way to her toes. "Peekaboo!" The fallen angel declared, uncovering his face to find his happy bubbly daughter still giggling her head off.

This gesture went on for a while until the King of Hell covered his eyes once more. "Where's daddy?" Again he asked but this time, he didn't immediately reveal himself just yet. He unlashed the wing that was tickling Charlie's toes and allowed her to breathe for a moment. Charlie rolled over and crawled her way over to her father, even going as far as climbing on him so she was at eye level with him. "Daddy, come out!" she giggled as she pulled on one of his fingers. A moment later, noting happened until- "Peekaboo!"

"AH!" Charlie let out a cute squeak as Lucifer lashed onto her and toss her in the air again. "I gotcha, I gotcha!" he chanted as he watched his daughter completely lose it in his grasp. Lucifer held his daughter in a tight embrace as he gave her a kiss on her forehead. Charlie unexpected repeated the gesture, kissing her father under his chin. Lucifer blushed at his daughter's affection but before he could thank her, his little apple gave out a very tired yawn. Lucifer chuckled. "Bed time Charlie."

"Daddy." Charlie said before Lucifer could get up to take her to her room. "Can I sleep with you? Please?" Charlie gave him her please eyes. Lucifer's blush refused to falter upon seeing this. He gave her a smile before saying, "You never have to ask for that." With that, the King of Hell snuggle up against his daughter and went to turn off a lamp that he accidentally left on. The two Morningstar's snuggles together throughout the night, neither of them wanting to separate from the other.

Have an assortment of Mystic Force headcanons that I've accumulated since I started rewriting CoD/CoL (now known as Emergence and ???):

Madison is an unabashed niche horror movie aficionado. This always surprises people, but she could talk about early 90s SOV, giallo, or the evolution of the slasher film for ages.

Her happy place in Briarwood is an old movie shop. They know her by name there, and always have recommendations among the new finds.

Briarwood itself is a super hippie town. Drum circles in the park, vegan bakeries, a huge pride parade every year. They're on the forefront of both marriage equality and cannabis legalization, even by California standards.

Nick has lived EVERYWHERE. His parents moved for work constantly, and so he and his sister have lived on every continent except Antarctica.

Xander and Chip are incredible cooks. Nick is pretty good too. Maddie is passable, and Vida is a complete disaster. Do not let Vida near a kitchen.

Leelee inherits the Vampire Queen throne after Necrolai/Nikki is turned human. She's surprisingly good at it. After some bumps, her rule becomes an unparalleled time of peace for vampires.

After high school, Chip tries a million things, and he's pretty successful at most of them. He takes over his uncle's farm, starts a meadery, does freelance alchemy, runs the local COUNTV chapter, and helps train new knights and wizards, and that's just the everyday stuff.

Leelee works to improve human-vampire relations, and teams up with Chip to help smooth things out. He begrudgingly helps, but warms up to it eventually.

Maddie and Xander are the only ones of the core 5 to go to college. Maddie studies film and Xander gets a business degree (so he can manage Chip's constantly-growing sprawl of ventures).

Vida goes on tour. She wins her first Grammy a year or two later, and eventually goes the Trent Reznor route of scoring films. It starts with Maddie asking for help with a hard-to-score film and spirals from there.

Nick gets taken on as an apprentice at a body shop. He's a prodigy with fixing things, especially vehicles, and when the owner decides to retire, Nick buys the shop off him. They mainly fix cars and motorcycles, but if you have something no one else can fix, he'll take a crack at it.

Maddie's first film does numbers on the smaller festival circuits; her second film is screened at Cannes and wins a Palme d'Or.

In Briarwood, everyone knows they're the Rangers, but the knowledge doesn't travel very far outside the borders. A few people know, but it's such an open secret that it almost never comes up. It's just a fact of life in Briarwood, so most people never really mention it.

THEY ARE CATS!!!

OKAY, a non Lmk or JTTW post for today because I really wanna talk about my CAT UNIVERSE.

In this cat universe, there are four main clans which are basically large amounts of cat groups that live in separate areas, each of that clans have evolved to be able to survive in their specific habitat!!

Examples;

There are WK’s (Which is actually the Woodland Tribe, but they like to call themselves Woodland Kits, so it’d be The Woodland Kit Tribe, but that’s off topic-) are cats that well, live in the woods! They’ve evolved to be strong, athletic, sneaky, and quiet, to not be hunted by predators!

The RC’s (The Royal Clan) are stuck up snobbish richie cats that look down upon the other clans- or at least that’s how the WK’s describe them!

Despite most of them not being able to fight very well, they are the strongest Clan out of the four because of their huge kingdom, and the fact that they sometimes allow cats from other clans to work for them!

Although, most of the royals are just half-clan members anyways- (which I will explain in maybe another post)

Those good old IC’s (The Ice Clan)!

The calmest out of the clans, yet the strongest in power!! (The reason why they aren’t viewed as THE strongest clan, is because they’re pretty chill and don’t always choose to solve their problems with battle, unlike the Royals)

The Icy’s have ice powers that is basically the fact that they can shoot icicles out from their fur, and also use it as a kind of porcine defense mechanism-

They have the thickest, fluffiest fur out of the bunch because their habits are usually up mountains (anywhere cold really)

And last but not least, The FT’s (The Fire tribe)!!

They are the most aggressive Clan because of their fire powers.

Kinda like the Icy’s, but with fire- their fur are set ablaze whenever they feel strong emotions, UNLIKE the Icy’s which most of them have control over their powers.

They like to play fight each other, and are VERY loud.

The Clans all think their own clan is the best (but their relationships with each other can differ, so I’ll probably explain that in another post as well!!)

And there are more cats that don’t go under a Clan, so let me know you guys wanna hear more about My Cat Universe!!

Extra notes I came up with on the fly

K is growingly more paranoid due to the number of ranger teams she has evidence have robots in their ranks especially the beast morphers since that’s the team their closest too

Preston was “bullied” out of the magic the gathering club by the mystic rangers due to Vida trying to accuse him of being an evil wizard without blowing their cover. Vida’s exact words were “we don’t don’t want your kind around here”. The ninja steel team now thinks the magic the gathering club is homophobic towards Preston and hates them. Ironically the mystic rangers all love the blue ninja steel ranger and the ninja steel rangers really life the mystic force.

Summer after spending the entire night fighting vengix and exhausted as she walks in the door and Mack the day after he found out he’s a robot. “Summer would you still be my friend if I was a robot?” “Absolutely not” cue Mack having a break down in the janitor closet only to be found by Ben and Betty who assure him they would still be his friends even if he was a robot

Mick is the impromptu medic to most of the robotic rangers

Tyzon is not sure what normal human anatomy should look like so he just copies a lot of what he’s seen Dana do but also does know someone from aquatar when he sees one and treats their injuries accordingly and the aquatar rangers just think he’s a human whose really good with secrets

The teachers are youngish (most haven’t hit 30 yet) and I use TA as a short hand for teachers in training so they’re earlier 20s. And then most of the students besides Justin and Nate are between 14-18 with Justin and Nate both being 12.

Generally everyone else is around the age they are in the show

favorite thing about them: He is both a baby and ex-mafia and oftentimes the only thing keeping Dillon sane and human and SOFT. Also he’s good for Dr. K, I guess.

brOTP: Him and Summer are lovely together and you cannot change my mind that he has let her paint his nails on multiple occasions.

OTP: Dillon/Ziggy. I am basic, they are gay. (Also Ziggy/Spike in that AU, you know the one; the chaos and LOVE.)

nOTP: I’m sorry, I know their actors got married, but somehow the idea of Ziggy and Dr. K as anything more than friends or siblings makes me gag.

random headcanon: He can sew and crochet and is constantly making stuff for the orphanage he came from.

unpopular opinion: I don’t know if this is popular or unpopular, but while I’ve seen an awful lot of Trans!Ziggy out there, for some reason the idea of him being intersex feels more...more, because of the hellscape they live in. (Also I started reading up on RPM after seeing that tumblr post about the intersex caterpillar called Chicken Nugget and it just...stuck.)

Un de mes chanteurs soul préférés, Lee Fields, est en concert ce lundi 4 juillet à 21h30 à la Place des Festivals.

Ce sera la 5e fois que je le verrai sur scène. J’en profite pour re-publier mon entrevue avec lui parue à la une de HOUR en 2011.

Lee Fields takes us through a four-decade journey that has included fronting Kool & The Gang, struggling to step out of James Brown’s shadow and having Sharon Jones sing backup for him

Sitting at the top of my personal musical pantheon, or damn near it, are the great soul men of the 1960s and 1970s. Marvin Gaye. Otis Redding. Sam Cooke. Al Green. If you ask me, Lee Fields belongs in that rarefied company, even though he’s hardly as well known as the aforementioned R&B titans.

If you were at his 2009 Pop Montreal midnight show, in a Sala Rossa packed with people grooving to the sounds of the singer and his band, The Expressions, you know what I’m talking about. “Man, I tell you, I just be having so much fun,” Lee Fields says over the line when I tell him about that memorable concert. “Every night, walking on stage, it’s a privilege first of all, and to get the chance to do it over and over again? I’m like a kid in a candy shop!”

Born in Wilson, North Carolina, Fields started out singing in church, which was not that different than what he’s doing now, according to him. “See, gospel is about letting the spirit shine through. When I’m singing whatever music, I do the same thing,” he explains. “The only difference between gospel and R&B is that gospel is singing about the good news of our Lord and Saviour, and R&B is singing about all of the trials and tribulations that you have here on Earth.”

COULD HAVE BEEN

As a fan of artists such as Wilson Pickett, Tyrone Davis, Clarence Carter and O.V. Wright (“I could go on and on!”), Lee Fields began his career in the late 1960s as a singer with various bands, including Kool & The Gang before their breakthrough.

“Gene Redd, their manager at the time, saw me performing somewhere and he thought it would be a good idea to put me with them,” Fields remembers. “So I worked with them for maybe six months, we did shows at clubs and some theatres. It was a good combination, but the thing is, those guys would do a hard show and as soon as they’d get off the stage, still with sweat on them, they’d say, ‘Let’s go back to the dressing room and talk about how we can make the show better next time.’ I said, ‘Are you crazy? I thought that after you got off stage, you went out there and had yourself a good time for a minute!’ But they were so focused and I must say that, at the time, it was beyond what I had as far as self-discipline. Still, it was a great experience and I learned a lot from them.”

As a solo artist, Fields released a bunch of 7-inch singles throughout the 1970s, but he didn’t put out a full-length album until 1979′s classic Let’s Talk It Over. Why did it take so long? “I was really trying to find myself as an artist,” he says. “I kept being told I was like James Brown. Whatever I did, it seemed like I was labelled, ‘He’s a replica, he’s not an original.’ That’s what I was sensing and for that period, I was looking to find me, to find who I was as an artist. It’s hard when you resemble somebody so closely… I know the resemblance is uncanny because my own daughter, when she was a little girl, she’d see pictures of James Brown and say, ‘Daddy!’” he says laughing. “Finding myself took a long time, but trust me, man, it was well worth it. Because I know that when people see me now, they see Lee.”

Alas, almost as soon as Fields found himself, the musical landscape changed and he found that his sound wasn’t fashionable anymore. “It was rough in the 80s for me,” admits the singer. “A few shows here, a few shows there, and I had to get mainly involved with real estate. Which I’m glad I did, because it panned out really well for me. Didn’t get rich, but I live a pretty comfortable life, and I got the chance to raise my family. But the longing for music was always there.”

DAPTONE GOLD

It took until the 1990s before he could begin his comeback, first by investing in some recording equipment and cutting some songs at home, then by heavily touring through the southern United States. Fields also released a few albums on the Ace label and one on Avanti Records, slowly but surely building a new fan base.

And then began his formidable collaboration with Philip Lehman and Gabriel Roth (a.k.a. Bosco Mann), the founders of Desco Records and then, separately, the Soul Fire (now defunct) and Daptone labels, all of which Fields has worked with.

“I was the first artist to do a full-length album with them [Let’s Get a Groove On, 1999]. Matter of fact, Sharon Jones was singing backup for me then!” Fields enthuses. “The people there, at Desco at the time and at Daptone now, it’s one big family. I’m pulling for everybody; it really makes me happy to see everyone take another step up. Whatever I can do for Sharon, trust me, I’ll be there, and I feel like she’ll do the same for me. Same thing for everybody there – it’s a family, man.”

More recently, Fields was one of the first artists to record with another label, Truth & Soul, which was launched by Jeff Silverman and former Dap-King Leon Michels. The result was My World, the bloody brilliant LP Lee Fields and The Expressions have been touring with since 2009. “I have such pleasure performing this album when I go out on stage. Ladies, My World, Honey Dove… I enjoy singing those songs so much!”

Just last month, Fields put out the album Treacherous, a somewhat unexpected but not unenjoyable detour into dance-pop. “That is a separate project that I did independently. Although I’m a little funk man, I’ve grown to appreciate other kinds of music as well,” he says. “But we’re coming back with some My World-style stuff soon. We’re in the studio; the album should be completed by the first of the year.”

malee was born in thailand, her mother raised her and her two sisters alone after their father, her husband, left. malee never knew what she wanted to do with her life but things got turned upside down even more when her mother met an american man and they fell completely in love. at the age of fifteen, male’s life was changed drastically when they moved to a small town in new mexico; taos.

malee barely spoke a word of english when they arrived and struggled to integrate with her peers, she would find comfort in skiing and not having to communicate with anyone. malee was determined to get better at speaking english and she turned to youtube where she would watch all of her favourite english content creators. doing this enabled her to pick up the language quicker than she could imagine and this fuelled her love for creating content. malee graduated high school and decided that she wasn’t going to go to college. she got her first full time job in the diner and bought her first camera.

vlogging came naturally to malee but she was barely getting any views. that would all change when one random video went completely viral, we’re talking millions of views and tens of thousands of likes and comments. malee finally felt as though she could do it and steadily over the next couple of years her social medias got larger followings. malee is now more or less fluent in english and she has quit the diner and uses her money from social media as her main source of income. she has amassed over ten million followers across her platform and the numbers continue to grow each day.
