On a serious note, this was really fun to draw, especially with the reference I was using and I was genuinely startled with how much my skills in anatomy have improved in the past months.

I honestly forgot how fun it was to draw LMK characters so I’ll be drawing them more soon!

Maybe I’ll draw Spider Queen next because I feel like there isn’t enough fan-art for her and she was one of my favorite characters.

MEET… RIO!!!

Rio is my LMK OC and honestly at first I was extremely uncomfortable with making one because inserting a character that’s not canon in a plot made me nervous so I’d end up turning any fan made ocs I created into regular Ocs- and also because I haven’t read the entirety of JTTW (I’m aware that LMK has it’s differences it but it was ultimately derived from the book.)

But ironically I actually enjoy reading fan comics of peoples ocs in a franchise I’m interested in at the moment sooo-

I felt like creating a LMK oc would be fun so I made Rio!

This was her first concrete design; (the concept, which is in the corner was entirely different)

Yeah, I just traced Mk basically- but it helped me learn lego anatomy so I can draw it on my own now!! (Or at least a version of it integrated with my art style.)

But yeah, that’s Rio, and if you want to hear more about her— just ask! Maybe leave a like!

No Name.

No Name is a character I created when I was really starting to get interested in JTTW and it’s narrative (mostly about Wukong), like the fact that No Name can shape-shift, make clones of herself/others, being immortal, etc. similar to Wukong. She was originally designed to moreover resemble me personality wise and be a mascot/sona for my YouTube channel at the time;

I know, a very big difference. (And I seriously can’t handle how past me used the Ibispaintx tree brushes to make the background-lol)

But besides that, No Name is one of my favorite OC’s that I’ve created because I can re-draw her so many times in different ways because of her shape-shifting abilities.

Her backstory is very long and complex (because of her immortality), therefore the reason why I’ll possibly be writing a book on her in the future. I kinda want the novel to be pretty lengthy (which was also inspired by JTTW, but it probably won’t be as long as it.)

So if you guys are interested in No Name’s story, I have a YouTube channel that’s pinned (It’s a Gacha channel though with the occasional splash of art to diversify the channel, but I’m thinking of revamping it.)

On another note, I’ll probably be posting more intel about my cat universe (my last post) on my TikTok and Instagram which is also in the pinned post. And about my consistency of LMK/JTTW posts, I’ll need to get back into the show again to get motivation to draw them (I still love the show but I’ve been getting less and less content about it on my socials so I’ll need to get it back on my algorithms if I decide to get back into the show, that’ll be easy though because No Name just gets me interested in LMK and JTTW again for some reason :p)

THEY ARE CATS!!!

OKAY, a non Lmk or JTTW post for today because I really wanna talk about my CAT UNIVERSE.

In this cat universe, there are four main clans which are basically large amounts of cat groups that live in separate areas, each of that clans have evolved to be able to survive in their specific habitat!!

Examples;

There are WK’s (Which is actually the Woodland Tribe, but they like to call themselves Woodland Kits, so it’d be The Woodland Kit Tribe, but that’s off topic-) are cats that well, live in the woods! They’ve evolved to be strong, athletic, sneaky, and quiet, to not be hunted by predators!

The RC’s (The Royal Clan) are stuck up snobbish richie cats that look down upon the other clans- or at least that’s how the WK’s describe them!

Despite most of them not being able to fight very well, they are the strongest Clan out of the four because of their huge kingdom, and the fact that they sometimes allow cats from other clans to work for them!

Although, most of the royals are just half-clan members anyways- (which I will explain in maybe another post)

Those good old IC’s (The Ice Clan)!

The calmest out of the clans, yet the strongest in power!! (The reason why they aren’t viewed as THE strongest clan, is because they’re pretty chill and don’t always choose to solve their problems with battle, unlike the Royals)

The Icy’s have ice powers that is basically the fact that they can shoot icicles out from their fur, and also use it as a kind of porcine defense mechanism-

They have the thickest, fluffiest fur out of the bunch because their habits are usually up mountains (anywhere cold really)

And last but not least, The FT’s (The Fire tribe)!!

They are the most aggressive Clan because of their fire powers.

Kinda like the Icy’s, but with fire- their fur are set ablaze whenever they feel strong emotions, UNLIKE the Icy’s which most of them have control over their powers.

They like to play fight each other, and are VERY loud.

The Clans all think their own clan is the best (but their relationships with each other can differ, so I’ll probably explain that in another post as well!!)

And there are more cats that don’t go under a Clan, so let me know you guys wanna hear more about My Cat Universe!!

Okay so THIS IS A REALLLLL IMPROVEMENT FROM MY LAST MONKEY KING DRAWING-

It’s so much fun when you get to that point where you’re like “hmmmm the drawing doesn’t have to be exactly like the reference-“ AND BOOM!

After looking at a BUNCH of fanart people have made of Wukong, and how they interpret him into their style, this is what I’ve come up with for now and honestly I love it!

I’m going to keep drawing monkeys for now and see where this goes!

GUESS WHO JUST WATCHED THE MONKEY KING MOVIE??

Anyways, it was SO great!!

When I first watched the trailer I was like “this is not accurate to the book at all”

BUT ITS SO GOOD.

I THOUGHT LIN (the girl) WAS GOING TO BE ANNOYING, BUT SHE WASN’T!! SHE ACTUALLY HAD A PURPOSE BEING THERE.

AND THE MOVIE HAD SOME RANDOM MOMENTS BUT IN A GOOD WAY!-

AND MONKEY KING AS A BABY IS SOOOOOO CUTE-

I’m probably going to be drawing this version of Monkey King for a while because I want to find a way to fit it in my art style since I don’t draw animals that often-

It’s so good (but my opinion is kinda bias since currently I’m reallllllyy interested in JTTW or LMK related stuff)

(I also wanted to watch the Ne Zha movie but it’s not on Netflix ;-; there is Ne Zha reborn but it’s not really the same)
