Being a traveler multishipper is so fun because there's always something for any trope you want no matter what mood you're in.

Xiaother/Xiaolumi? They're so soft. Canonically they're very close friends who care for each other a lot. Xiao's pain lessens in the traveler's presence. He wants to protect them and tells them to call his name whenever they're in danger. He's so shy and afraid of hurting people, but attends events because of the traveler. He was ready to die to save them. They got him to write poetry. They're both old and hurting and in need of a break and so many hugs.

Scaraether/Scaralumi? He tried to kill them when they first met. He destroyed their friend's clan. He mocked Teppei's death and likely would've killed them if Miko didn't trade the gnosis. The traveler had to fight him 168 times before they were able to defeat him for real. They then became allies and held hands. When he erased himself, they freaked out and went out of their way to bring him back. They're still not friends, but they aren't as hostile to each other as before. The part of my brain that craves enemies-to-lovers eats this ship up.

Albether/Albelumi? When the traveler met Albedo, he instantly wanted to study them, and they let him. At the end of his story quest he makes it clear that he wants to rely on them (If one day, I lose control… destroy Mondstadt… destroy everything..Can I rely on you to stop me?) They looked at him and memorized his appearance enough to notice that susbedo was missing the gold star marking, and they didn't judge him for being a homunculus. They're so sweet to each other when they meet during events. He probably studies them off screen. I like to think that he made a bunch of portraits of them, too. He literally says that he's interested in them in his teapot voicelines. This ship opened my eyes to scientist x test subject.

Traveler Aether and Lumine are my favorite characters but I wish hyv would give them an actual personality with dialogue. I think about them a lot but then it hits me that the Aether in my head is like 75% headcanons (which are all canon compliant, but still). Make them go on adventures without Paimon sometimes. Give them voiced dialogue. Cutscenes where they joyously show affection for their dearest friends. Cutscenes where they yell and scream at those who lie to and betray them. More characters who they have tension with for good reasons, because I can only name 2 major playable characters who don't practically worship them. Only we as the omnipresent player can tell that they're stressed as shit, let them show it openly. "I prefer to bottle everything up" Aether, your EN voice actor is just itching for a moment to go nuts with the screaming, you don't have to hold it in. Please be a bit unhinged sometimes.

Since the traveler is an eldritch being from the stars, do you think they do non-human shit constantly but get away with it. Like. They go camping with Bennett or something and he wakes them up at some point like "Bro you weren't breathing! What the frick?" and the traveler is just like "Oh mb. I didn't mean to scare you." and it's not a big deal because they don't need to breathe as they've traveled in space where there isn't oxygen. However, it freaks people out when they don't so they have to do so anyway.

Oh and their skin feels different than it should and it causes a feeling of unease if they stare at someone too hard. Their joints bend differently from everyone else's and their body glows faintly at night. Maybe Teyvat is actively rejecting them and the air changes in their presence. Canonically, the Traveler has been described as a monster who can eat up the entire world. They're human enough for it to not be noticeable but subconsciously most people can tell that somethings off.

thinking about a very touch-starved Xiao who craves affection discovering what cuddling in bed is, and then trying to sneakily curl up beside Aether after he falls asleep.

He's sneaky about it because he feels that it's selfish to demand Aether's time and attention (man get therapy), but he fails and Aether notices anyway. Xiao is then pulled against his chest and absolutely smothered in affection <3

God i hate those straight traveler harem artists who turn every female character into a submissive pregnant little housewife while they make Aether an ultra tall jacked dominant man. Also people who draw the same but with submissive brainless Lumine + super OOC aggressive alpha dom male characters.

People can draw what they want, but canon Aether is like 5'5 and the one getting impregnated I don't make the rules.
