I’m sad to see the #lacrosse #lacrosseseason2018 #lacrosseseason end. Chance has probably learned more this season as his first year playing for a high school #lacrosseteam than any others yet. We were very blessed to have a great team who worked hard. He’s already started #lacrossepractice with his #travelteam #offseasonlacrosse so we are excited about that but I know he’s already missing the daily after school practice. 🥍 Ladder with checking
🥍 Ladder with dodge and a shot
🥍 Stretch
🥍 Goalie clears to defense
🥍 Attack catch and shoot with feeds
🥍 Circle passing drill using the circle in teams of 3 or 4. Attack counts number of consecutive passes while defense tries to jump doubles. When the attack loses the ball, the defense takes the ball and becomes attack, and new group outside the circle enters to play defense
🥍 Fast break drill from the 30. It starts with an attack and defense marked at the 8m, and someone rolls the ball out for a player to pick up at the 30 and create a 2v1 to goal. Once that play ends, add two more in from the 30 with another ground ball and players that were just in, stay in. Keep adding
🥍 End practice with 7v7 continuous using one 30 as the restraining line and the other 30 a goal line with a cage. This provides lots of touches on the ball, and works on all aspects of the game. Goalie clears immediately after a goal. Great for conditioning too! 💨💪

#2017champions ! Yesterday’s #lacrosseplayoffs #lacrosse made for such an exciting Saturday! We went into the #playoffs in 3rd for the #fallleague yesterday. After an incredibly hard fought first game and an incredible upset in game 2, #SHS #jvlacrosse was playing for 1st in game 3. I have to admit, we were a little nervous in the 1st half but they came back with a vengeance in the 2nd half with some awesome #teamwork #defense and #passing and won the #2017fallleague #championship ! So proud of this guy! No rest for champs- today he’s volunteering helping out at a #lacrosse beginners’ clinic and then he’ll have an hour to eat and head off to #travelteam #lacrossepractice . Hanging out last night for Sunday night #lacrossepractice for Chance’s #travelteam #tournamentteam , love hearing this coach give him props, for those not as familiar with #lacrosse , he plays #defense which means he uses a #dpole and they’re referred to as #poles so when you hear him saying, “Good job, pole” he’s talking to him. I really enjoy sitting out in the great weather on Sunday nights watching him practice and then spending the ride home talking and going over it. He ran some excellent #lacrossedrills last night but of course, I missed them. 😬I have to give credit to these young men, schools in, they’re playing #fallleague so practicing after school for that league, #lacrossegames on Saturdays and then tournament team practice on Sunday nights. Can you believe how big our #lacrossedog #labradors #labradorretriever #labrador #lab girl, Karma has gotten? She’s only 7 months still but such a big, beautiful girl! What a difference from the scared, skinny little girl she was when we got her! She rode with me to pick Chance up from his after school #lacrossepractice and she’s so wanting to jump up and grab all of those #lacrosseballs ! I didn’t think of that when she was at the door begging to ride with me! In our house, when Alyssa (yep! She’s learning to play now!) or Chance picks up their #lacrossestick , Karma gets excited and starts chasing them down- this girl loves being a #lacrossepup and living the #lacrosselife - unfortunately for her, when he’s practicing at the school she has to live more of the #momlife 😂and wait and watch like i do! It's a #gorgeousday for some #preseason #lacrosse #lacrossepractice and #teamtryouts #teamassessments. I'm always so proud of my little (um well I guess he's not really little anymore) guy when I watch and realize just how much he's improved in such a short time. It feels awesome to have coaches compliment him and then freak when they find out he's just now been playing for a year. What a difference a year makes!
