Kraghammer, Tal'Dorei: Kraghammer is a dwarven city in the Republic of Tal'Dorei. It was a short stop on Vox Machina's journey to the Underdark, but it is where the first streams of Campaign 1 began.

Jigow, Wildemount: Jigow is a Kryn Dynasty city in northern Xhorhas. It has only been mentioned in passing onstream, but it is a key location in Call of the Netherdeep.

Started rewatching Vox Machina and I had forgotten that in the first evening we are ever seeing them, everyone else is getting up to trouble or taking the night off except Keyleth and Percy. Their server at the inn asked for positive written comments after being very helpful, but they only had a little scrap of paper to work with. They spent much of the evening patiently creating very formal comment cards (with calligraphy!) and then made everyone fill them out. The future Architect of Enlightened Progress of the Chamber of Whitestone and the Voice of the Tempest, taking a small act of kindness and diplomacy extremely seriously.

'Oh, did you not stealth around that little pebble?'
Vax insults Grog, and the big guy manages to trip the rogue with an exceptionally good role.

Maybe one of Vox Machina's best executed plans!
Vax and Scanlan sneak up on the Illithid that is controlling the Duergar. Scanlan distracts the Illithid by throwing a bucket full of goblin crap at its face, while Vax attacks from the back.

@freeusemuses sent: "Crazy lust 8D: An attempt to rescue Keyleth goes very much awry, and Vex'ahlia is quickly shown the strength of Grond Kraghammar"
Crazy Lust: 8D
She had come as soon as she had heard word that Keyleth had gone missing. She knew of the mission herself—had even offered to go with her to take out the wandering goliath herd—and when she didn't return, she knew that she needed to take matters into her own hands, and her own bow, and bring her friend back home safely.
The one thing she hadn't been planning on was Keyleth not wanting to be saved.
"F-Fuck~! Shit, fuck fuck fuck~!" Vex moaned, gasping as she was pinned to the ground by a twisting bramble of vines. She couldn't move her arms, couldn't try and pull away, as they held her down to the ground, allowing the hulking goliath brute to ram and rape her tight, slutty cunt over and over again.
"Stupid bitch~!" Grond groaned into her ear, roughly ramming his cock hard and deep into her cunt, grinning down at her as he pummeled her guts. "My slut-wife doesn't want to leave~! Now, you get to join her, you stupid whore~!"
Vex groaned out again, not wanting to give in, but the roughness of his thrusts was proving too much to bear. She arched off the ground, her head rolling back towards Keyleth nearby. She looked to her for help, looked for some shred of the woman she'd once known, the woman that she'd come to save, the woman that was her friend.
Keyleth, though, was far too busy letting Grond's men fuck her to pay attention, humming in delight as she was spitroasted between them and their massive, throbbing dicks...
"Oh fuck~!" Vex gasped, and her attention returned to the goliath currently claiming her—she moaned out wantonly, feeling his cock slam hard into her womb, her vision going blank and her mind reeling in pleasure. Her hips jerked reflexively, and she moaned out louder, lewder, lustful instincts starting to take over.
"You don't want to leave~" the goliath suddenly declared, his breath hot on her ear as he thrust harder into her. "You want to stay~ and be one of my slut-wives~"
His rough thrusts hit her womb again, and Vex shuddered hard in reply—his lustful words and rough handling making her suddenly cum. Her mind was going fuzzy, and her lips moved without thought. "I-I want~ I want to stay~"
Above her, Grond grinned wickedly, and slammed his hips hard down into the half-elf whore's, his thick, hot goliath cum spilling into her and sealing her fate, and his lips crashed to hers and silenced the moans that fell from the now broken and claimed Vex'ahlia the Whore's lips.

kraghammer is really underrated; is there anything that really interests you in how you're writing it in ghost cass?
Distract me from feeling like shit with Q's about my WIPs
The noise? Like that was what inspired me writing their first look at Kraghammer, was the background noise that Matt played for some of it, this hammering and clunking, the noise of not just a smithy but a foundry, an actual industrial factory - because a huge chunk of this city is just it's production! And it's in a massive stone cavern, there is no day or night, we know also that dwarven culture means you have a work month not a work week, and they can just rotate shifts to keep it going at all times, because it's already dark, there is no clear day or night!
So... the noise, the hammering of metal, the hiss of steam as works are quenched, the clunking of the lifts down to the mines and quarries, the clatter of minecarts hauling up ore and stone, the continual noise of industry.
It's pervasive, it's constant. Matt obviously turns the sound down for noise balance and later swaps it out for bar chatter when they get to the inn and the like - but the first introduction to Kraghammer is that wall of noise, not just a forge or a smithy but the biggest one you've ever seen - a whole city centred around it.
I think that's very cool. They are a trade city, they have to farm outside their boundaries (like most cities) but there's also so much they probably don't produce in huge quantities either because they don't need it or simply because they don't have access to the raw material!
What they do have is stone and veins of ore. What they have is coal and magic. What they have is smithing, is being the Allhammer's hands and fists, anvil and quenching trough, is living up to their creator's livelihood. It's ingrained into every little thing.
I think that's pretty cool and interesting, and I am absolutely gonna have that omnipresent noise and work be noticed (soot clustered on the high-off, barely-lit cavern ceiling, steam rising from below, the heat and warmth despite the subterranean stone of it all. Industry, inescapable).

isn't it weird how something you hear years ago can become part of your internal vocabulary. like i cannot tell you how many times the phrase "and in the darkness i say 'fuck'" plays in my mind.
but then i also realise that it's probably one of my personal top underrated critical role one-liners because it's (a) from campaign one but more importantly, (b) it happened prior to the briarwood arc, so exists in that small batch of episodes most people will tell you to skip.

VM are discussing to blind their opponents with light.
Grog: Vax could show his ass, that's a pretty white light.
Percy: It's as white as it gets.
Vax: It's pale as shit. When I go to the beach, I don't tan, I stroke.
