Although today is Hijikata's birthday, it's also the birthday of one of my most favorite seiyuus! The man, the myth, the legend, the voice of my beloved Takasugi Shinsuke and many other beloved characters, Koyasu Takehito! So naturally, I had to make a post about it. White haired idiot Vs Dark haired mature guy dynamic in anime

Gojo Vs Geto dynamic is basically less bloody version of Takasugi Vs Gintoki. Former best friends turning enemies over ideologies and a death of a character (In gintama it was more personal as their sensei has a direct influence on them). Takasugi and Geto went to dark side whereas Gojo and Gintoki were able to move on from the tragedy.

Coincidentally both Gintoki and Gojo have white hair and childish personality whereas Takasugi and Geto have dark hair and more mature.

Also Takasugi's VA is same as Toji Fushiguro.

The only difference is that Geto didn't have a face to face fight with Gojo where Takasugi and Gintoki had a direct fight (it's ranked as one of the best anime fight, it's both badass and emotional).

Gojo probably would have to kill his best friend like Gintoki and had a tragic ending if they had a direct confrontation. Though the way Takasugi died while lying on the lap of Gintoki and coming in terms with his demons were heartbreakingly beautiful. And my only solace is that he came back as a child (no memory of the past).

Kenjaku killed Geto and took over his body and I doubt he's going to come back.

Anyway I find it very interesting that Both Gintama and JJK had this dynamic and in both cases the dark haired mature guy faced their demise.

M: Since the boys have left us in charge, let’s just move onto our self introductions. My name is Midorikawa Hikaru, and I voiced Heero Yuy. The plot of the actual anime was mostly quite serious, so I had a lot of fun recording these comedic skits. O: If the higher ups had let this group do whatever we wanted to do, there is no telling how far we would end up going. Today, I was able to experience this fear first-hand. I am Quatre’s VA, Orikasa Ai. Although I am really fond of the serious story of the anime, I also really love projects such as this one where everyone is able to have a lot of fun. During the recording session today, the studio was generous enough to provide us with slices of cakes as refreshments, so the entire team sat down and ate together.
