"I can’t dance” Ethan and Felicity 😭
Tumblr media
“Comeand dance with me!”
“Ohno, absolutely not.”
Felicitywhined, resisting the urge to stomp her foot on the floor (she didn’t know whyshe regressed back into being a tantrum-throwing child when she’d had a fewglasses of wine, but she did) as her best friend shook his head and refused tostand up from his seat, no matter how much she tugged on his arm.
“But Iwant to dance! It’s a wedding Ethan!”
“Ican’t dance.”
“I’msure you can.”
“Hereally can’t, he’s terrible.”
Felicitywhipped her head round to the side and narrowed her eyes into a glare the secondshe heard his voice.
“Iwasn’t talking to you,” she snapped, and Cal rolled his eyes as he sipped athis champagne. God knows what he’d done to make her mad this time. Caldidn’t even think he had to do anything at this point – just being in thegeneral vicinity seemed to be enough to piss her off.
“I-Ithink he’s just trying to save your poor feet – I have a tendency to tread onpeople’s toes,” Ethan laughed embarrassedly.
“Ican’t believe you’ve invited me to a wedding as your date and you’re not even gonnadance with me,” Felicity pouted, sitting back down in her seat and crossing herarms over her chest sulkily.
“Date?”Cal raised his eyebrows.
“Frienddate,” Ethan clarified, nudging Felicity in the side. “Cal will dance with you. He’s not so bad.”
“Calhas his own date to keep occupied,” she paused, looking around the room.“Speaking of, where did the delightful Alicia get to? Not abandoned youalready has she? What a shame.”
Calsmirked, crossing his arms on the table and leaning a bit closer towards herwith a suspicious look on his face.
“Whatexactly do you have against Alicia, Filly?”
“Felicity.”
“Becauseif I didn’t know any better, I’d say you seemed a tiny bit… Jealous?”
Felicitylet out a strangled cough, her eyes wide as she looked from Cal to Ethan andback again, before finally settling her gaze on her friend and pointing to Calover her shoulder.
“Is heserious?” she asked incredulously, and Ethan sighed as he pinched thebridge of his nose.
He wasin no mood to play babysitter to his brother and Felicity tonight. He was sickof having to be the buffer between them, if he was completely honest. They weregrown adults, surely they could put their differences aside for one night?Apparently that was too much to ask for and, taking in the smug grin on hisbrother’s face and the look of complete disgust on Felicity’s, he stood up andheld out his hand.
“Whatare you doing, Nibbles?” Cal asked, his grin slipping into a frown.
“Whatdoes it look like I’m doing, Caleb?” he grumbled, wiggling his fingers andgesturing to Felicity to take his hand. “I’m asking my date for a dance.”
“Youare?” Felicity beamed, taking his outstretched hand with a squeal and allowinghim to pull her up.
“But…You can’t dance.”
“I knowI can’t dance. You know I can’t. Felicity is about to find out that Ican’t dance. But if making a fool of myself is the only way I don’t have tolisten to the constant bickering between the two of you, then making a fool ofmyself is what I’ll do,” he huffed, turning round and leading Felicity towardsthe dance floor.
“Sorryif we’re annoying you,” Felicity whispered, stepping a bit closer to him. “Itry not to let him get to me but sometimes I just can’t help it, y’know?”
“Sometimes?!”
Felicityrolled her eyes. “Most of the time.”
“It’sokay,” Ethan smiled softly. “It’s because you like him.”
Felicitylet out an offended squeak, reaching forward to shove at Ethan’s shoulder withher free hand.
“I do notlike him!”
“It’sokay, I won’t tell him,” Ethan chuckled.
“Ishould hope not as well!” she cried, pausing slightly. “Not- not that there’sanything to tell. Because I definitely do not like him. At all. Not evenlike… Not even a little bit.”
Ethancocked his head to the side as they came to a stop in the middle of the dancefloor and he turned around to face her, pulling her closer towards him as theybegan to dance.
“You’reprotesting too much.”
“Yes,because I am disgusted with what you’re insinuating,” Felicity scoffed, loopingher arms around Ethan’s neck and wincing as he stepped on the front of hershoe. “…Maybe I did like him, before, you know? Before all of… this,” shecontinued, waving her hand around. “Before he gave Matilda up. Before he movedin on Alicia. Before I realised what a generally bad person he is.”
“He’snot bad-”
“That’sa matter of opinion, and yours is wrong. Yours doesn’t count, anyway. He’s yourbrother. You have to like him. I feel sorry for you.”
“Actuallythere was a time when I didn’t really like him very much,” Ethan told herquietly. “We haven’t always gotten along. He can be very difficult-”
“You’repreaching to the choir here Ethan,” Felicity snorted. “Ouch!”
“Sorry,”Ethan winced. “I told you I’d step on your toes.”
“Iwarned you.”
“Urgh,”Felicity groaned in annoyance when Cal appeared at the side of them. “Can younot just… go somewhere else? I’m trying to enjoy myself here.”
“You’regetting your toes trodden on,” Cal raised his eyebrows and Ethan sighed heavilyas he stopped dancing, his arms dropping from Felicity’s waist. “I can cut inif you’d like. I’m a better dancer than Ethan.”
“Whydon’t you two dance for a while, then?” Ethan smiled widely, taking a stepbackwards as Felicity narrowed her eyes at him. “I’ll just… I’ll go and keepAlicia company.”
“YeahI bet you will,” she muttered under her breath, plastering a smile on her facewhen Cal quirked an eyebrow at her. “It’s fine Ethan, I’ll come and sit downwith you-”
“Comeand dance with me, Filly,” Cal interrupted her, reaching out and taking hold ofher arm and Ethan took that as his cue to get off the dance floor as fast as hepossibly could. She paused, slightly taken aback by the hopeful (surely she wasmistaken?) look on Cal’s face before she sighed and gently pulled her arm outof his grasp. “Felicity-”
“Ishould probably get back, anyway,” she smiled weakly. “Don’t want to leaveTilly with the sitter for too long, you know?”
“Thenat least let me take you home.”
“Ithink you should be more concerned with taking your girlfriend home, don’tyou?” she asked, running her hands down the front of her dress. “I’ll see you,Cal.”
Watchingsafely from his seat at the table, Ethan felt like he was banging his headagainst a brick wall. He couldn’t understand why Cal hadn’t put up more of afight, why he was just shoving his hands in his pockets and making his waytowards the bar instead of following Felicity back to the table. It was obviousto him - to everyone, probably even Alicia - how much Cal and Felicity caredabout each other, and it was infuriating to watch them act the way they hadbeen acting for far too long.
Ethanwas close to losing his patience.
“Howcome you’re not dancing with Cal?” he asked, and Felicity turning to look athim, surprised by how annoyed he sounded.
“I… Ididn’t want to?”
“Whynot?” Ethan demanded. “You’ve wanted to dance since we got here. Why not dancewith Cal? What harm would it do? Would it really be so bad to stop arguing foronce, to stop pretending that you don’t like him and just enjoy yourself?”
“I…”Felicity let out a quiet laugh. “Ethan Hardy, are you trying to set me up withyour brother?” she asked.
“No!”Ethan cried, his cheeks flushing. “…Maybe. Yes.”
“Why,so you can move in on his girlfriend?” she quipped, picking up her glass ofwine and taking a sip.
“No!”
“Yes.”
“No,Felicity,” Ethan huffed. “Because I know you. I know this is just an act, Iknow you care about him, I know he cares about you. Is it really so badfor me to just want you to be happy?”
Felicitystayed quiet, a smile crossing her lips as she rested her chin in the palm ofher hand and looked at her best friend.
“Idon’t know what I did to deserve a friend like you.”
“Well, clearly you’re just lucky,” Ethan shrugged, pushing his glasses further up hisnose and frowning as he watched Felicity pick her bag up from the floor. “Whatare you doing?”
“I’mgoing home,” she told him, getting to her feet. “It’s getting late, I don’twant to leave Tilly too long.”
“I’msure she’ll be fine-”
“Shewill be,” Felicity interrupted. “But I still don’t want to leave her. Have agood night, okay? I’ll see you tomorrow,” she leaned down, placing a kiss onEthan’s cheek before she turned and made her way towards the exit. She pausedfor a second, turning to look at Ethan again. “Ethan?”
“Yeah?”
Pointingtowards Alicia who was stood across the room, she bent down so she her mouthwas next to Ethan’s ear.
“I’ll stop pretending when you do,” shewhispered, straightening up and shooting him a wink. “Goodnight, Ethan.”

“Have you lost your damn mind!?” Cal x Felicity
Tumblr media
Felicitywas running around her apartment like a tornado and it was making Ethan alittle bit dizzy. He had never seen her move so fast, and he had neverwitnessed anyone make so many changes to their home as Felicity had in fewhours it had been since she’d had the news that she could bring Matilda home.
Everythinghad been baby-proofed (despite the fact that Matilda could barely sit up on herown yet, never mind anything else), the sofa which had been in the middle ofthe room had been pushed over to the furthest wall to make room the babybouncer that Matilda loved.
Thespare room had been transformed, emptied of its clutter and filled witheverything Matilda needed – her Moses basket, the cot Ethan and Cal had boughtonly a couple of weeks earlier, a brand new changing table, a little set ofdrawers for her every-growing collection of clothes… It was like a completelydifferent apartment. They had both worked together to make it the bestenvironment for Matilda.
Andyet, still, Felicity was still furiously cleaning everything in sight.
“…Youknow, that’s the third time you’ve cleaned that window?”
Shepaused, cloth and spray in hand as she cocked her head to the side and examinedthe window in front of her, before she turned to look at Ethan.
“Isit?”
“Yes,”he smiled. “You can stop cleaning now, Felicity. You’ve got everything. Thereisn’t one speck of dirt, one tiny little germ left in the whole place. Matildais going to be fine.”
“Ofcourse she’s going to be fine, why wouldn’t she be fine?” Felicity bristled.“I’m just cleaning!”
“Becauseyou’re nervous, which is perfectly understandable. It’s okay to be nervous,”Ethan told her. “But she’s okay now. They wouldn’t be discharging her if shewasn’t.”
“Iknow, I just-” she sighed, running a hand through her messy hair. “I wanteverything to be perfect, y’know? I want her to feel at home. She’s gone frombeing with you and Cal, to being in hospital and now she’s coming here and I’mjust- I’m worried she won’t settle.”
“Felicity,”Ethan stood up, giving her a small smile and placing his hands on hershoulders. “You live down the hall from us. The apartment is laid out the sameway, she has all her things here now… She’s a baby, she’s not going to noticethe difference.”
“She’sgoing to notice Cal not being here though,” Felicity muttered, pushing a pieceof her hair behind her ear as Ethan frowned.
Itwas going to be weird, he had to admit, having Matilda so close all the timebut not having her living with them. He had grown quite attached to her and, even though he now knew she wasn’t his niece biologically, he would alwaysconsider himself to be her uncle.
Hehad been shocked at first when Felicity had confessed to him that she’d spokento Matilda’s social worker and had applied to be her carer, but he had beenthrilled when she had gotten the okay to foster her.
“Speakingof Cal…” he paused. “Have you told him yet?”
Felicitywinced. “Define told him.”
“Felicity,”Ethan groaned. “She’s coming home tomorrow.Don’t you think you should tell him? I mean, he’s going to notice you luggingaround a baby, isn’t he?”
“Well, technically Cal and I aren’t even really speaking at the moment, so there’sthat,” she shrugged her shoulders. “Maybe youshould tell him! He’d take it much better coming from you, Ethan!”
“Oh,no,” Ethan quickly shook his head, taking a step away from her. “No. I’m nottelling him.”
“Butyou’re-!” Felicity stopped, interrupted by a pounding on the front door and shejumped, turning to look towards the door with wide eyes. “I am not answering that,” she told Ethan in awhisper.
“Filly!Open the damn door!”
Shewhined, clutching on to Ethan’s arm when she realised Cal was on the other sideof the door.
“Iam definitely not answering that.”
“Felicity!”
Ethansighed heavily, pinching the bridge of his nose before he shook Felicity offand walked towards the front door. Pulling it open, he held a hand up towardshis brother.
“Cal,if you could just-”
“Getout of my way,” Cal growled, pushing past Ethan and storming towards the livingroom. Ethan was in two minds about whether to follow him, or to slip out of thedoor unnoticed and leave them to it, but he knew that Felicity would probablynever forgive him if he did that. Gently closing the front door, he turned onhis heel and followed Cal back into the apartment, where he found his brotherstood in the middle of the room with clenched fists, as Felicity lookedanywhere but at him. “Ethan. Can you leave, please? I need to talk toFelicity.”
“Staywhere you are!” she squeaked, pointing a finger at Ethan. “You understand whyI’m doing this, you need to stay!” she told him, instantly regretting it thesecond Ethan screwed his eyes shut and Cal spun round to face him.
“Youknow?”
“Well…Yes, I-”
“Youknew she was doing this, and you didn’t tell me?”
“Itwasn’t my place to tell you, Cal-”
“Thenwho’s place was it?” he snapped. “Really! Which one of you were going to tellme that the baby I’ve been raising as my daughter was going to be living a fewdoors down for me? Or were you both hoping I wouldn’t notice you playing happyfamilies? Honestly, Felicity, have you lost your damn mind!?”
“Wh-”she frowned, crossing her arms over her chest. “No, I haven’t lost my ‘damnmind’. Someone needs to be there for her, Cal. Someone needs to take care ofher and it clearly wasn’t going to be you anymore. I couldn’t just abandon her,I couldn’t let her go into care and be given to people she doesn’t even know. She’s so little, Cal. She’s so tiny and fragile and seeing her lying there inthe hospital… I knew I couldn’t leave her.”
“What, and I’m some kind of monster who just walked away from her?”
“Ididn’t- I did say that-”
“Butit’s what you’re thinking?”
“…Cal-”
“Ethan, leave!” he snapped, and Ethan turned to glance at Felicity who nodded her headat him. Walking to the doorway, Ethan paused before he left the apartment.
“Cal?”he called. “She’s only doing what she thinks is best for Matilda. You can’tblame her for that.”
Caldidn’t reply. He didn’t even look in Ethan’s direction, and he waited until heheard the front door close before he looked back at Felicity. She bit down onher bottom lip, noticing that Cal’s anger had faded slightly as he sat down onher sofa, his head in his hands as he stared at the floor. She walked towardshim, sitting beside him tentatively and waiting for him to say something.
“Howcome you didn’t tell me?” he whispered.
“I-I was scared too,” she admitted weakly and Cal looked up at her. “I didn’t knowhow to tell you. I know how hurt you were when you found out she wasn’t yours, you’ve not been the same since and I didn’t want to add to that but I couldn’tjust leave her, Cal. I can’t explain it. I’ve got such a bond with her, I loveher to bits and I couldn’t let her go.”
“…Doyou think it was easy for me? Walking away?”
“Ofcourse I don’t,” Felicity frowned. “I was there, remember? I know how hard itwas for you and for Ethan. Don’t bemad at him, by the way. I didn’t… I couldn’t really talk to anyone else andhe’s like… He’s my best friend, y’know? He’s the person I go to about stuff. Iswore him to secrecy before I even told him anything, so please don’t blame himfor anything.”
“Idon’t blame him,” Cal told her. “Of course I don’t blame him. He never wantedme to give up on her, he wanted to stay in her life. I… I don’t blame you, either. I blame me.”
“Wellyou shouldn’t. You should blame Taylor,”Felicity scowled. “She knew Matilda wasn’t your baby, Cal. She knew and sheleft her here anyway, that woman doesn’t have a decent bone in her body. Shecouldn’t have honestly expected you not todo a paternity test after all the trouble she caused and the lies she told! Sheknew you’d find out but she still just lefther baby here expecting you to take care of her even though she isn’t yours-”
“That’snot stopped you from stepping up,” Cal cut in. “The fact that she isn’t yourbaby. It’s not stopped you from being like a parent to her, has it? Maybe…Maybe you’re just a better person than I am, Filly.”
“Well,”she scoffed, reaching out to pat his leg. “We already knew that anyway, didn’twe?” she teased, and Cal smiled weakly, placing his hand on top of hers.
“I’mserious,” he told her, lacing their fingers together and looking back up ather, the blush on her cheeks not going unnoticed. “You were so ready to helpEthan and I when we first had Matilda. You dropped everything to take care ofher-”
“Youhired me to be her nanny didn’t you, I was getting paid for it.”
“Butyou’re not now, are you? And you’re still going to do it, you’re still going tolook after her. It’s… It’s not even just that though, Filly. It’s the way youtook care of me, of Ethan… You were always there, always helping, alwayslistening to us complain. You always have. Even… Even before Matilda.”
“We’refriends,” Felicity shrugged weakly. “Ethan is my best friend. Friends help each other out.”
“Friends?”
“Yeah?”she frowned in confusion, and Cal gave her hand a squeeze. “…Cal-”
“Ineed to ask you something,” he blurted out before he could stop himself.
Hedidn’t know why, but Felicity had always made him feel… nervous. He wasn’t hisusual, cocky self around her. He had been, at first. When they’d bump into eachin the lift and she was nothing more than the girl down the hall who wasfriends with Ethan. He had flirted past himself, giving her a cheeky commentand a wink whenever he saw her and taking great delight in the blush that wouldcover her cheeks, or the fond smile that would cross her lips as she rolled hereyes at him. It had changed when Matilda had come into his life and she wasaround all the time. It wasn’t just flirting anymore. Not for Cal, anyway, andhe was sure not for Felicity, either.
“Shoot,”she told him, chewing nervously on her thumbnail.
“Whatdoes…? I mean, where do we- what I meanis-” Cal stuttered, pausing to huff loudly and take a breath. “Where does thisleave us, Filly?”
Felicity’sfrown deepened. “Us?”
“Imean…” Cal started, pausing to try and find the right words to say. “Yeah, us?Because I- I don’t think I can be around her, Filly. Around Matilda. Not for…It’s going to take me a while before I can be around her. It hurt too much tofind out she wasn’t mine, to let her go… I need some time before I can bearound her again.”
“So…What?” Felicity pulled her hand out of his. “What are you trying to say? Are…Are you trying to ask me to choose betweenyou and Tilly?”
“No,I-”
“Becauseyou won’t win, Cal. I will choose her. I will always choose her.”
Calnarrowed his eyes. “That’s not what I was trying to say, but it’s nice to knowwhere I stand,” he scoffed.
“Ican’t believe you’re being so selfish!” she laughed in disbelief. “What am I saying?Of course I can. I just can’t fathomhow that would even cross your mind right now? How can you even think aboutthat when there’s a baby you supposedly loved, a baby you cared for lying inhospital but no parents? And you have the nerve to ask about us?”
“Nevermind,” Cal grumbled. “Forget I said anything. I guess I’ll just… See youaround.”
“Iguess you will,” Felicity nodded, crossing her arms over her chest.
“Therewas never really going to be an ‘us’anyway, was there?” he asked. “You were just the nanny, after all.”
Felicitysucked in a breath, and Cal instantly regretted his words when he saw the flashof hurt in her eyes. He’d thought that was what he wanted in that moment, tohurt her, but the second he realised that’s what he had done, he was overcomewith guilt.
“Getout.”
“Filly,I didn’t mean-”
“Youknow what, Cal?” she shot him a glare. “It’s a good job you don’t want to seeher, because I don’t want to be around someone who could give up on a child soeasily. Get out of my apartment.”
Pullingthe front door open with a scowl, Cal stepped outside before turning back tolook at her.
“Gladly,”he snapped, slamming the door closed behind him and, without looking back once,Cal walked away.

“You fainted…straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted my attention you didn’t have to go to such extremes.” Iain x Felicity
Strugglingto get through the ED doors, Felicity huffed loudly as Matilda continued toscream in her pram and she scowled as she caught the disapproving looks of someof the patients sat in the waiting area.
“What?”she snapped. “She’s a baby and she’s sick, what do you want me to do?!”
“Felicity?”
Sheleft out a sigh of relief when she heard the familiar voice behind her, and shecouldn’t help the tears that filled her eyes when she saw the look of concernon his face.
“Iain.”
“What’swrong?” he asked with a frown, placing a hand on her shoulder and glancing downat Matilda.
“Idon’t- I don’t know she just- she’s been sick for a few days but she’s got areally high temperature and a bit of a rash, she won’t stop crying and I justdidn’t know what to do so I brought her here and-”
“Okay,it’s okay,” Iain told her calmly, waving Lily over to them. “Can you take alook at Matilda?”
“Bringher through to cubicles,” Lily replied as she turned on her heel and walkedthrough a set of doors, her heels clicking against the floor.
“Thankyou,” Felicity whispered to Iain as he nudged her out of the way and took overpushing the pram for her.
“ShallI tell Cal you’re here?” Noel called out as they walked past reception, butFelicity quickly shook her head.
“No,I don’t want to worry him or Ethan. Thanks, though.”
“…Yourealise they’re probably going to see you anyway, right?” Ian asked.
“Notif Lily hides us in a cubicle and closes the curtain they won’t,” she muttered, putting her hand to her head and stumbling slightly.
“Felicity?”
“I’mokay,” she waved a hand towards Iain. “I’m just- I’ve got a bit of a fever, I think.I’ve been going a bit dizzy, probably caught Tilly’s cold,” she smiled weakly, crouching down and unbuckling Matilda from her pram and lifting her onto thebed as Lily closed the curtain around the cubicle. Felicity ducked down behindIain as she caught a glimpse of Cal, and she let out a breath of relief as hewalked right by the cubicle without looking up from the file in his hands. “Thankyou for seeing her so quickly.”
“Hasanything like this ever happened before?” Lily asked, lifting Matilda’s jumperup to examine her stomach.
“I-yes, exactly the same thing about a year ago and- she was in hospital for awhile, it was when- when…”
“Felicity?”
“Idon’t- I don’t feel well,” she mumbled, swaying slightly and blinking furiouslyto try and fix her blurry vision. Iain moved towards her, but he wasn’t fastenough.
Everythingfaded to black, and Felicity collapsed to the ground.
*
Hereyelids fluttered open and she looked around blearily, the harsh white lightingmaking her squint. She tried sitting up, but she felt a tug on her right armand she winced.
“Staylying down.”
“What-what happened?” she asked, her voice hoarse.
“Youfainted,” Iain replied. “Straight into my arms. You know, if you wanted myattention, you didn’t have to go to such extremes.”
“Matilda-”
“Isfine,” he interrupted. “Lily’s and Ethan are with her. She’s got a viralinfection, but she’s going to be perfectly okay. You scared the life out of me,Felicity.”
Shewinced. “I’m sorry. What’s wrong with me, then? How long do I have left?” sheasked with a dramatic sigh, and Iain rolled his eyes.
“You’realso fine. Dehydrated and exhausted, but fine. You’ve been drifting in and outof consciousness for about an hour, Lily’s put you on a drip and you’re notmoving until she says so. You need to rest.”
“Youtry resting with a sick baby,” she groaned, rolling over in the bed. “…You saidEthan was with Tilly?”
“Idid,” Iain smirked. “Cal doesn’t know, don’t worry. Ethan checked in on youbefore and I’m supposed to let him know when you’ve woken up, but he promisednot to tell Cal you were here.”
“Thankyou,” Felicity smiled tiredly, reached out and patting Iain’s hand that wasresting on the edge of the bed. Iain looked down at their hands and shefollowed his gaze, coughing nervously before she pulled away. “I’d best let youget back to work.”
“Idon’t have to, I’ve finished my shift.”
“Well,I wouldn’t want to keep you from… anything else.”
Iainsmiled. “I don’t mind, Felicity. I like spending time with you.”
Shenarrowed her eyes. “Are you hitting on me while I’m lying in a hospital bed?You think I’m gonna let that slide just because you played the hero?”
“No,”he chuckled. “I don’t. At all. That’s why I like you,” he told her with asmile, and she cursed herself as she felt her cheeks flush. “…Maybe when you’refeeling better, we can go for-”
“Filly?!”
“OhGod,” Felicity whined, covering her face with her hands as the curtain aroundthe cubicle was thrown open. “I’m fine!”
“Whydidn’t you tell me she was here?!” Cal snapped, pushing past Iain and pulling Felicity’shands away from her face. “Are you okay?”
“I’mfine, don’t be so rude!” she hissed, swatting him away. “Stop pulling me about, I don’t feel well!”
“Sorry,I’m sorry,” Cal took her face in his hands. “You fainted? Robyn said youfainted. I saw your name on the board and- is Matilda okay? God, Filly, ifsomething like this happens then you get someone to call me.”
“Matildais fine Cal, get off me,” she grumbled, pushing him away half-heartedly. “Noone called you because I didn’t want them to, I didn’t want them to worry youor Ethan.”
“Well,it’s my job to worry about you, and about Matilda. I’m a doctor, Filly.”
“Yes,well you’re not my doctor so kindlysod off and let me rest. I need rest. Lily said I need rest, didn’t she Iain?”she asked, turning to look at him with raised eyebrows.
“Shedid, yeah.”
“See?There we go. I need rest,” she shot a smug smile towards Cal. “Iain here isjust keeping me company until I can see Matilda.”
“Well,I’m here now,” Cal shrugged, pulling a chair up to the side of the bed. “I’llstay with her. You don’t need to wait.”
“Cal.”
“What?”
“Don’t.Be. Rude,” Felicity told him through gritted teeth. “You’re making me feel sickagain. Someone call security and get him removed,” she waved a hand towards himweakly, and Cal snorted as he reached out to pat her leg. “Can you go and askEthan or Lily when I can see Matilda, please?”
Calblinked. “Me?”
“Yes,you.”
“W-why can’t Iain go?”
“Iainisn’t annoying me.”
“…Nowwho’s being rude?” Cal scoffed. “Fine. I’ll go and find out what’s going on,but Filly? When you’re okay to leave, you’re both coming back with me and Ethanso we can keep an eye on you.”
“CalI’m fine-”
“Noarguments!” he interrupted, placing a finger on her lips. “Stop. You’re comingback with us so we can take care of you both. Ethan’s going to agree with me,and I know you won’t argue with him, so you’re best just agreeing now andsaving your energy,” he told her. Felicity didn’t reply, she just rolled hereyes and shooed him out of the cubicle.
Shewaited until he was far enough away, before she turned back to Iain who waswatching her curiously.
“…What?”
“Nothing,”he shook his head, grabbing his jacket and standing up. “I should get going. I hopeyou’re feeling better soon.”
“Oh,I- you were just- were you about to say something then, just before Cal bargedin?” she asked hopefully.
“Nah,”Iain shrugged. “It, uhm, it looks like you’ve got your hands full enough as itis,” he smiled. “I’ll see you around, Felicity.”
“Yeah,”she whispered, watching as he left the cubicle and walked away from her. “Seeyou around,” she finished with a sigh, lying back down and covering her eyeswith her hand.
Whenshe had her energy back, she was positively going to kill Caleb Knight.

Shadows & Monsters - a Theo Raeken fanfiction
“DO SOMETHING!” Tessa screamed, swinging her arm backwards and elbowing Liam in the stomach. He let her go almost instantly and she darted forward, pushing past Scott’s outstretched arm and lunged towards her boyfriend.
But it was too late.
Tessa could do nothing but watch, powerless as Theo disappeared in front of her, the hole closing up after him.
“He’s gone, Tessa.”
“No,” she whispered, ignoring Liam’s voice behind her as she sank to her and stared at the place the hole had been. “No, no he- he can’t be gone. No,” she shook her head, her jaw set as she wiped away angry tears with the back of her hand and fixed her glare on Kira. “Open it again,” she demanded, but Kira shook her head. “Now, Kira!” she snarled.
“I- I can’t,” she stuttered, shaking her head. “It doesn’t- it doesn’t work like that-”
“Then how does it work?!” she spat. “You’ve just- you- he’s-” Tessa stopped, tugging on the ends of her hair as she looked down, running her hand across the ground. “None of you did anything to help him. Why didn’t you do something?!” she snapped, her eyes widening as she looked up.
She was alone.
…Where had everyone gone? They… They’d just been there, they couldn’t have left already. Not that quickly.
There’s no way Liam would leave without her.
“Tessa.”
Her head whipped round at the whisper of her name, and she peered around uncertainly.
“Li-Liam?” she stammered.
“Tessa…”
“Liam?” she called, a little louder than before. “Liam this isn’t funny!” she told her, her voice wavering. “Stop being a brat!”
“Tess…”
“Th-Theo?” she stuttered. “Theo where are you?!” she called.
Making a move to climb to her feet, she gasped and fell backwards as the ground beneath her shook. Tessa scrambled backwards, her back against the wall of the tunnel and she screamed as a hand broke through the floor, grabbing hold of her wrist.
“Why didn’t you save me?”
She pulled her hand out of the familiar grasp, peering into the ground only to find Theo’s rotting face staring back up at her.
And she screamed.
coming soon

Okay so I was tagged by @kolmiikaelsons and i wanted to be super artsy but alas I am not an artsy person and my camera roll is basically full of cats, food, alcohol, and famous boys.
