here's part of the school au timeline bc i'm gonna make a silly video game inspired miniseries based on that Player: START drawing i just posted in order to talk abt some parts of the au that i find making comics and lore posts tedious for

Dazai transfers in, she runs into Chuuya, and she notices her crazy strong ability. the first arc is Dazai just making friends, particularly the Detective Club, which is the og ADA trio, and Chuuya, who she is needlessly annoying to.

Chuuya's infamous in their class because she's "mysterious" and "kinda scary." Dazai forces friendship onto her with but here's the abridged version of the pitch: "I can nullify your powers, meaning i'm a threat, so you should keep me close. Keep any potential enemies where you can see them." (This will end up being a decent lesson for Chuuya later)

Okay [here] is just a cutesy slow paced section of Dazai and Chuuya becoming friends. There's some secrets coming to surface though. I think in this section we get a paced out series of flashbacks describing Dazai's backstory, and some hints about Chuuya's "home" life with N, and the abuse, but nothing in Chuuya's perspective yet

Dazai's pre-Mori life in this AU is vaguely like Batman's origin story and that's all you need to know for now i think.

Considering that Dazai is Mori the Mafia Boss's ward and recently participated in a coup,, there might be SOME risk of her attending the Academy, right?

School gets raided by some belligerent gang looking to fuck around with the Port Mafia, *a miniature school-contained zombie infection bc of an ability user storyline ensues (don't ask why. i've been thinking about it a lot* Skk saves the day, but it puts the two of them on the Map. Namely, a couple of assassins take notice (cough Rimbaud cough Verlaine... cough they aren't working together btw we need multiple quests obvs)

Adam Frankenstein new substitute gym teacher gets sent to the Academy to keep an eye on and protect Chuuya in particular. Why's she still in this school if there's shifty evil government bureaucracy nonsense happening? plot reasons. but she's got a bodyguard now :)

Random but EXTREMELY important fact is that Chuuya is not as good a fighter as he is in canon. She's skilled with her ability, but without that she's more or less on par with Dazai. She's considerably worse at offense than everyone else but decent with defensive moves. Either way if Chuuya's ability isn't at her disposal, she oughtta back out of the battle... Will she though? nah.

Rimbaud crawls out of his burrow when he realizes that his target from 7 years ago has resurfaced in a more vulnerable position. Obviously he's gotta take a crack at capturing it, right?

Like three of my coworkers in the past month have tested positive for covid, every day I see new ppl on my dash mentioning that they’ve caught covid, every day I see and hear from ppl who have come down w something that looks like covid but the test came back negative but also they can only afford to test once bc tests aren’t free anymore and the more accurate tests are also more expensive so there’s no way to know if it was a false negative, and yet nobody masks anymore. hell world hell world

#hollow knight #little ghost #hk ghost #the knight #hk hornet #hornet #alright. as of writing these tags it's been a week since the original dream so! let's see what i remember dgsgsgf #i was playing a game. which was a sequel to hollow knight ((Not silksong though)) #there was some new sort of divine infection in hallownest and hornet had asked ghost to investigate it. they ended the last one after all! #the red glowy spike gate thingy is what you jumped into to enter the 'infected' areas #though it actually led directly to a hub world type of place. which was kinda like an expanded base for the grimm troupe? #more like an entire lair instead of a camp. also some greek gods were there for some reason lmao. they had their own special rooms too #so sidenote but- new headcanon that there are grimm troupe members named ares athena artemis &... venus lmao. not aphrodite for some reason #also monomon was there?? i think??? except she was cooking????? she had a sidequest to deliver something to someone though i dunno hdgfhdgh #i remember going back to the grimm troupe lair a couple times throughout my 'playthrough' #anyway. the 'infection' this time around was more of a glitchy physical corruption thing? rather than a mind corruption. #though there were still aggressive enemies to fight. but i remember getting a map from cornifer early on and he was. probably infected #i think part of his body was covered in electricity or something? so he wasn't fully visible? but he was still acting normally #there was also a moth who was the seer but then later wasn't the seer (but was still the same moth) dghgdhf. i delivered stuff to her #that glowing white wall thing in the drawing was like a one-way gate. you could only cross it from the other side and ghost came from there #i guess things looped back up somehow i dunno ghdgfhgf #anyway. ghost's red eyes. those are significant! those happened while i was walking through a corridor. it had pools of shallow water #(shallow enough to just walk through) and also creatures that were lightseeds but red.the implication was that they were full of Blood lmao #and as i went along killing them--as one does--as i walked through the hall. they started turning the water red too #there was also narration about this as it was happening ashdgsf. specifically the narrator said the water turned red before it actually did #ghost's eyes slowly turned red too. but aside from that they were fine! since. they're the player character and the player is perfectly fin #BUT. when they encountered hornet again. she thought they were infected. and that she lost the only family she had left </3 #she didn't attack though. instead she just jumped into the red spike gate without a word. decided to try to fix everything herself #but eventually you'd encounter her again down below and she'd fight you. didn't actually get to that in the dream though #aand i'm out of tags </3 i wanted to talk about what i'd do to make this make more sense as an au or something now that i'm awake but. :c

Rei held the rusty pipe like a baseball bat, swinging for a homerun as she smacked off the head of someone she once knew. Someone who had abandoned her long ago.

The rotting head of what used to be her mother rolled on the ground, sickly green skin squishing against the ground and stared up at her with lifeless eyes.

“I didn’t want to see you again like this,” Rei hissed as her chest heaved, “i wanted to see you staring with regret as you saw your daughter on top of the world. I didn’t want to kill you or see you dead.”

That had been the second time she had run into her zombified mother. The first, she had been a coward, unable to kill her and her father– the two people she hated most, the two people who had abandoned her and left her on the streets.

Where had all her rage gone that time. When had she become soft.

Midori clung to Ryutaro with all the strength in her frail body. “My brother,” she whispered, “i saw my brother’s corpse down there. Kakeru… he… they got Kakeru… they killed Kakeu…”

He didn’t say much in return, but he did pat her hand briefly– the only comforting action he could manage while carrying her.

“I see a store up ahead. Let’s stop by there for supplies.” Keisuke pointed out to the leader of the bunch.

Setsuka patted the clown on the back and gave him a smile. “Sounds good, lead the way. Maki, do you need me to carry Yamaguchi for a bit?”

Midori wrapped her arms and legs around Ryutaro a bit tighter at the suggestion, very much attached to the guy who had found her and saved her from zombies.

“I’ll be fine until we reach the stop.” The blonde nodded his acknowledgement to the bluenette, forcing a smile as he struggled to catch up.

The group walked in silence for a bit, the only sounds being the orchestra of distant zombie groans.

“Miss Yamaguchi,” Hikaru said after bit, his tone fatherly like usual, “may I check your pulse soon? And may I check if the swelling on your ankles has gone down?”

“Yeah, that… sounds good. Thank you, Uncle.”

Kanata removed the bandages from Ayame’s arm gradually.

“There isn’t any sign of infection, Hatano. Kinjo and Maki are still out, so… uhm… can I get you something to eat?” The surgeon spoke softly as she stared at the sprinter.

“I’m not hungry…” Ayame mumbled.

“Inori!” Tomori slammed the door open, her eyes sunken from lack of sleep, “i think i got bit. Check! Check, please!!”

Kanata bit back a sigh of exasperation and forced out her cheerful smile. “Of course. Where do you think you were bit this time?”

“My ankle. They went after my ankle so I couldn’t run! They’re going to eat me. I’m going to die, aren’t I? Oh, god, I’m going to die!” The cheerleader’s words were jumbled together and practically nonsensical. She grabbed onto Kanata’s shoulders as she spoke, her nails digging into the other’s lab coat and pressing her skin uncomfortably.

“Miss Tomori,” Kanata winced, “please let go of me. I will check your ankle, but I am sure you are fine.”

“I’m not fine!” Kizuna wailed before glaring accusatory daggers at Ayame. “If you… if you hadn't gotten yourself bitten! If you had just seen that bitch for what she is! We wouldnt be doomed! You’ve doomed us all!”

Ayame took the words without fighting back. What had been the point in fighting anymore? Kizuna was right. She had doomed them all.

“Miss Tomori, please… Taira had us all fooled… if Miss Hatano is to blame, then so are the rest of us…” the blonde murmured. “Please sit down so I can check your ankle…”

Mindless. Kinji was mindless. His faith had only been able to spare him for so long.

His teeth were decayed now. His skin was green and purple and yellow. His eyes were dull. His cheeks were sunken.

It was incredible that his mind stayed intact long enough for him to bury as many as he did. The only bodies he didn’t put 6 feet under, the only bodies he couldn’t handle burying, were those of the people he knew.

But what was the point?

Yuki held his stomach as he choked up and spat out the last meal he had, beans that had barelt even begun to digest.

“Urgh… gross…” he mumbled to himself.

Shinji was away at the moment, scouting out for the next safe place for them to go and likely trying to find his family in the process.

The lucky student fought back envious tears. At least they knew there was a chance that Shinji’s family was alive– they found his mother, Aiko, brutally murdered in the Maeda household. Her corpse was bloated and rotted when they found it.

The sight still haunted his dreams. He couldn’t even keep.meals down since he saw it.

Mikako peered into her brother’s lab. He hadn’t eaten in quite some time, nor had he slept.

“Yamato…” she whispered hesitantly.

He spun around with a dart ready in his hand. He only lowered it after he registered it was her.

“Mikako, I’ve told you to leave me alone. I need to find a cure, or no one will be safe.” The inventor turned back to his work and threw a crumpled up piece of paper to the side.

“I’m sure someone else is searching for a cure, Yamato. Why not try to make a vaccine? Some sort of immunity would help while someone else finds a cure.” The exorcist suggested.

Her brother didn’t seem to have heard. That, or he was ignoring her.

“Ah… nevermind.” She straightened her back and spun on her heel to hunt down their other classmates.

For the newcomers, Satsuki was putting on a performance– juggling empty bottles and broken gadgets whilst telling jokes. That could not be safe, but Haruhiko seemed to have his eyes on her.

The bunker door heaved open, and Teruya’s team came in, carrying boxes full of food and other supplies.

“We’re back with dinner!” The merchant shouted.

Mikako rushed over to take the box from him.

“Thank you, Otori, this should be good for at least a week. You and your scavenger team did good.”

He grinned at her and handed his box over. “Thanks! We uh…” he hesitated, “We saw Taira and Maeda… err… Utsuro? On our flight back… they looked like they were heading somewhere… dunno where…”

She bit her tongue and nodded thankfully at him. “Thank you for telling me.”

Aw yeah infection Au moment! I do remember you saying a while back that you wanted to write something about Rei in this Au and MAN her part has gotta be my favorite out of these little snippets.

I really like taking a look at how a bunch of the cast is doing, seeing the way you wrote them in those situations was pretty fun! It reminded me how much i like the idea of Setsuka's like group with the 6.5 cast and how Kanata probably wishes she has a degree in psychology to properly deal with Ayame and Kizuna (she may feel as if she's not doing enough for them seing as her kindness can only bring her so far when dealing with their turmoil)

#i really like thinking about the voids + hibiki in this au too #i never explained this before because i wanted to draw something for it but oh well #basically at one point the voids (as in Nikei Hajime and Emma since Iroha has been zombified and ran away by now) steal some suplies from #Syobai's apocalypse mob. so he sends Kanade and Hibiki to “take care of them” for him #because Kanade has deal with Syobai where she's essentially works as his executor whenever he needs it #and in exchange he lets her take things rom his stocks when she pleases (she mainly takes weapons. the crazier the better) #and you know. Hibiki i in her puppet stage so she goes along #so the twins go after the voids in their mad max-esc apocalypse car and after a while Kanade manages to corner them #and Hibiki takes this opportunity to stab her in the back :) literally #because turns out Hibiki snapped out of her puppet stage at some point a while back. and seeing Kanades terrifying true nature #she wanted to put an end to her madness but for the time being she kept pretending to be under her control. because she wa looking for the #right opportunity to deal a killing blow without because Kanade is a better fighter than her #this opportunity turned out to be the voids! she explains the whole story to them and offers to do something for them to make up #for the hell Kanade and her put them through (chasing them around for several days and getting into fights) #so Hajime asks for her to hand over all of her supplies. Emma asks for the car. and Nikei asks her if she has any information about #a possible cure for the virus (because he feels somewhat guilty for what happened to Iroha) and Hibiki tells her she knows of a scientist #that's working on one and recives chemicals suplies from Syobai (because he wants this capitalize on this cure whenever it gets done) #So by Nikei's orders Hibiki tricks Mikado into giving her a stash of Kokoro's solution and goes with the voids in a search for Iroha #so that they can give her the prototype cure (which works just as a virus suppressant so far) before she reaches a stage where her mind is #too far gone. so overtime Hibiki essentially becomes a void member and she has friends again for the first time since forever #i like infection au Hibiki a lot. i had a sketch of her and Kanade somewhere i think #super danganronpa another 2 #danganronpa another #dra #sdra2 #zombie au #infection au #hyena ramblings

It's always wild to me when people bring up Anser as being reason why they hate the Emperor.

Like everything else I understand, mind-controlling Stelmane, calling us a puppet, using Orpheus' power against his will, lying to us, encouraging us to become a mind flayer too, etc. I get why people would choose to hate him about any of these things.

But with Anser, he was literally just defending himself from being 'mercy killed' by his friend.

I see so many Reddit posts and tumblr posts that talk about how he 'betrayed' Anser and I'm like "???? Betrayed him by.... not letting himself be killed? By wanting to live, even as an illithid, instead of dying?"

Like, if you genuinely believed that then you would never have beaten the game because you would have let your Tav/Durge be mercy killed by Lae'zel in Act 1 when you thought you were transforming.

It's so wild to me when people are like "the Emperor is a monster for defending himself and he should have let Anser kill him." Like, for me this is the one thing he is absolutely blameless for.

#saw the post the other day about horror movies reflecting the greatest fears of society at the current time #..... it was so ouuugh #anyway zombie movies. fear of infection and pandemic type situations obviously #but also. a running thread in all Zombie Media ™ since forever has been like. someone you love got bitten and now u have to kill them etc #i think that's really interesting because it also ties into another thing about zombies: fear of being changed‚ involuntary #does the zombie know what it used to be? is the hunger filling an otherwise blank mind? #or is it just strong enough to override everything else? #what would that feel like though. both possibilities are unsettling because in case 1 you Die by most definitions #and something else looks like you and pilots your body around #actually that is very similar to imposter horror innit. #incoming vent sorry about it #¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #life sucks and im so over all this shit #it's literally been the what like year from hell #so my mom almost died this time last year and there's been all kinds of fun ptsd like symptoms from that and then my dog died and then #everyone got covid and then i got a sinus infection because i can't do anything normal #now last week i was thinking about what i need to talk to my doctor about and I'm thinking about my symptoms and mom's like that sounds like #lupus which is what my mom has and now I've been so super stress sick and I'm just trying to chill and relax and my estranged family member #is trying to work their way back into our lives and throwing a fit cause we won't let them because they've threatened and tried to kill us #all on multiple occasions and i know the threats are going to start up again and I'm worried that this time they're serious #i know this is either going to go one of two ways and they're going to try to kill us or themselves and i just i don't know #i don't know what to do about it because we don't have any proof of these threats written down because they've all been verbal #my family doesn't really know what to do either but i know the getting a gun conversation is going to come up again #and then I'm going to have to outwardly admit that I'm not stable enough for that shit and then everyone's going to freak the fuck out and #ughhh god i just can't deal with this shit anymore it's all bad and it all fucking sucks ass #oh and I'm trying to give up for the day and go to bed so I'm looking for YouTube videos to keep my mind busy and someone i follow #is having to live post that they're trying to keep their friend from committing suicide because the friend turned it into a public thing and #the yt is trying to reassure everyone and it's just all too much #I'm too on edge I'm too triggered or whatever i don't know what the fuck to do anymore i just want to go to bed and sleep until everything #is magically better. also i have three publishers breathing down my neck for this book but i haven't been able to write in months because of #all of this shit and then i had the bright idea of starting a writing blog i have NO CONTENT for and just FUCK fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck #i just want to go be a fucking snap under the ocean im done fuck all of this being a human fucking sucks and I'm exhausted #oh and also my brother for randomly offered a job I've been trying to get for fucking years so ✌🏽😁✌🏽 that's also doing great things for #me i am super proud of him though cause he's working his fucking ass off i hope he takes it cause if not i will punt him into the sun #but anyway I've had it officially! so good night tumblr stay classy #izzy speaks but i really shouldn't

Okok I know when Travis grabs Max like a dog and calls him "good boy" it's supposed to be funny bec Max is a werewolf, but I also like to think of it in context of Travis. To Travis, being called a "good boy" is the highest praise his parents have ever awarded their sons. "A good boy takes care of his family", right?

So in the context of the scene, Max was resisting against Travis and asserting that Travis could question him right there in his cell, he was unwilling to leave Laura alone in the cells/be separated from her again for any reason. If Laura doesn’t stop him he keeps resisting! So I think that even though it was mostly a joke about him being a werewolf, I also think Travis was affording Max a compliment for his loyalty to/protectiveness of Laura even though he was in no position to resist.

Laura loads a gun & gets ready to shoot #no matter what else he thinks of them; there's no way Travis doesn't admire the TRUE loyalty and love between Max & Laura #they ARE each other's family and they take care of each other. especially if Laura directly tells Travis she will NOT leave Max behind #we get a notif that he admires her dedication. i think that goes for a lot of Travis's relationships with both of them. #a good kid protects their family & they do just that. even when they escape Travis doesn't blame them (as long as Laura doesn't SHOOT him) #even if Laura kills Travis to reunite w/ Max in the end; i think Travis on some level would understand. he would do the same thing.
