Mardi Himal Peak Climbing in Nepal

Mardi Himal Peak Climbing is an extra stimulation and adventure for the Climbers/trekkers. It is situated southwest of the lower slope of Mt. Machhapuchhare, which can be seen from Phewa Lake of Pokhara whish is in a triangular shape. The English name of Machhapuchhare is "Fishtail". Machhapuchhare is the most southerly high point of the Annapurna Massif, the awesomely majestic grouping of mountains in the central Himalaya that includes 5 of the 12 highest mountains in the world – all at the close of very close quarters to our route.

Pokhara is known as the Mardi Himal and is made up of the feature of a long rising ridge and its peak from the southwesterly lower slope of Mount Machhapuchhare. The most breathtaking up-close views are seen at our high altitude camp at 4,100 m, which is reached after an eight-day hike through the forest, above the tree line, and up to it. A new path now leads us steeply down to the upper Mardi Khola, the torrent that had been the ice and snow of the Mardi Himal, after initially descending through the forest. Our trip now has the feel of the pleasant valleys and the welcoming communities, despite still being far from all the popular trekking routes. There is little doubt that this is the picture-perfect Nepali landscape as we travel from the mountain village of Siding along the bank of the Mardi Khola through the lovely fields, through the modest farms, and over the "strange" bridges. We discover a new path that leads to the upper Mardi Khola as we descend through the trees.

Itinerary for Mardi Himal Trek

Day 1: Touch down at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) (1300m)

Day 02: Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation.

Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara fly 25 min or drive 6-7 hrs (850 m).

Day 04: Pokhara to Odane Hill (2510m) 5-6 hrs.

Day 05: Odane Hill to Kumai (3049m) 6-7 hrs.

Day 06: Kumai to Khorchon (3568m) 5-6 hrs.

Day 07: Khorchon to Mardi Base Camp (4100m) 5-6 hrs.

Day 08: Mardi Base Camp to High Camp (4650m) 3-4 hrs.

Day 09: Summit Mardi Himal and return to Base Camp, 7-8 hrs.

Day 10: Reserve the day for unforeseen conditions.

Day 11: Mardi Base Camp to Kumai (3049m) 4-5 hrs.

Day 12: Kumai to Ghachok (1067m) 7-8 hrs.

Day 13: Ghachok to Pokhara (850m) 4-5 hrs.

Day 14: Pokhara to Kathmandu fly 25 min. / drive 6-7 hrs.

There were huge contrasts in 48 hours hiking down from 4,580m to 2,080m above sea level between Ramche and Yamphudin.
