Smooth sailing -- Welcome to Kharé, Cityport of Traps, in the world of the Fighting Fantasy books, though I also imagine this is what Mordheim would have looked like before its destruction (John Blanche from Titan: The Fighting Fantasy World, by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, Puffin Books, 1986)

getting to know you tag game!
tagged by @quitefair, thank you!
Three ships: oh I'm apparently in an OC x Canon headspace so
1. Hero of Kvatch x Martin Septim (TES Oblivion) (always on my mind and in my heart) (the elder scrolls have me on a chokehold again)
2. The Analander x Flanker (Steve Jackson's Sorcery!) they are so romance. currently replaying Sorcery and I'm so hype (just met him in Shamutanti Hills, can't wait for Kharé)
3. Robin x Chrom (Fire Emblem). Robin is trans and they are gay married. if I think too much about them I'll download heroes again and I don't have the time or storage for it so I won't
First ever ship: I forgor :(
I used to ship very differently in my early fandom days. I thought it was about predicting who ends up with who, based on canon evidence. I'd get invested but if it started to look like it's not happening then I'd go "oh well :( anyway". I also didn't read a lot of fanfiction, the first ship fic I read was for solavellan
Last song: Itane mia fora - Nikos Xilouris (slowly animorphing into my dad apparently)
Last movie: Kobieta z... (Woman of...) letterboxd has been a lifesaver for this question
Currently reading: A Feast for Crows! it's from the library so I'm on a tight schedule
Currently watching: finally started the 2nd season of Good Omens
Currently consuming: brunch (tea and khachapuri)
Currently craving: nothing, I'm full of brunch✌️
tagging whoever sees this and wants to do it! (if you do it tag me, I want to see and know you)

Stream tonight at 7pm EST!
Tumblr media
Join me tonight on Twitch at 7pm Eastern for part 2 of “Steve Jackson’s Sorcery!”, a mostly text-based fantasy adventure game.
In the first leg of our quest to recover the Crown of Kings from the evil archmage’s tower, we crossed the Shamutanti Hills and arrived at the gates of Kharé. Along the way we escaped from an evil witch’s lair, defeated a would-be assassin, rescued a princess, and slew the dreaded manticore.
But tonight our quest will take us through Kharé -- The CItyport of Traps! Far more dangerous and packed with exciting content than the Shamutanti Hills, or so I’ve heard. Will I make it through the city alive, or at least without having to rewind too much? Will I waste a solid hour playing Swindlestones? Find out tonight at 7 Eastern!

In April we will explore creativity through the thematic lens of ‘kismet’ and are honoured to present digital storyteller, legacy documentarian, and founder of Human Biography, Sharad Kharé. REGISTER
Sharad holds a Masters degree in communications, where his academic research focused on personal and digital legacy. He uses his background in journalism to bring out the best conversations between individuals and the people they impact. He has spent the past several years travelling the world seeking out the most influential people in their fields in order to document their legacy for public and private consumption. He has documented personalities like His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Susan Sarandon, Chip Wilson, Jack & Suzy Welch, and many more. When his cameras are off, you can find Sharad moderating dialogues on a TEDX stage or speaking globally on the subject of documenting the most interesting humans of our times. Sharad has spoken and conducted interviews at the United Nations on a number of occasions. He has been invited to create original content for many prominent families and organizations globally.
How do you define Creativity?
Creativity is the ability to live passionately without constraints or rules to way I create in any of my chosen projects.
Where do you find your best creative inspiration or energy?
I “daydream” at night. Some of my most inspiring ideas and most successful thoughts come from dreams. I literally wake up to get on my laptop to start the idea into motion.
What’s one piece of creative advice you wish you’d known as a young person?
Don’t wait to start. Go for it and don’t listen to anyone’s objections.
Who (living or dead) would you most enjoy hearing speak about their relationship to creativity?
Quentin Tarantino
What’s your one guilty creative indulgence?
I love a scalp massage.
What fact about you would surprise people?
I once opened up for Russel Peters.
How does your life and career compare to what you envisioned for your future when you were a sixth grader?
I was a victim of being pushed to think about a future my parents wanted vs what I wanted. I was told that I would be an engineer like my dad and that was the way or nothing.
How would you describe what you do in a single sentence to a stranger?
I am a story listener.
What’s the most recent thing you learned (big or small)?
That having a therapist / counsellor to talk to on a regular basis is a key to life.
If you could open a door and go anywhere, where would that be?
I would go to my mother’s home town, Allahbad.
What keeps you awake at night?
My next creative project.
Who has been the biggest influence on your life and what lessons did that person teach you?
My wife. She taught me that it was ok to be an entrepreneur rather than trying to make my parents happy. I learned that I was a bigger than my surroundings.
What are you proudest of in your life?
My children and family.
If you could interview anyone living or dead, but not a celebrity, who would it be and why?
I would interview Elon Musk as I have interviewed his mother and I would love to see the comparison of their generation identities as I do with other families with my legacy work.
If you could do anything now, what would you do?
Travel
Where was the last place you travelled?
Edmonton
What music are you listening to these days?
80s, meditation mantras
What was the best surprise you’ve experienced so far in life?
Education matters
Where is your favourite place to escape?
India
What books made a difference in your life and why?
The Alchemist
What practises, rituals, or habits contribute to your creative work?
I have conversations with myself, and I am in constant prayer for good outcomes in life.
If you had fifteen extra minutes each day, what would you do with them?
Sleep

Experts Expect Bitcoin Price to Hit $250,000 by 2022, Here’s Why
American venture capital investor Tim Draper, an early backer of Tesla, Skype, and SpaceX, is one of the most high-profile Bitcoin investors. With absolute confidence that bitcoin is the future currency, Draper announced that he predicts the bitcoin price will reach $250,000 by 2022.
Tim Draper Predicts Bitcoin at $250,000 By 2022
Tim Draper has thrown a cryptocurrency celebration on Thursday, called Blockparty, not to be confused with British indie rock band Bloc Party. The party poster, which was placed in front of his entrepreneurship program, Draper University, made a bold statement: “Tim Draper Predicts Bitcoin @ 250K By 2022”.
The billionaire investor has bought 30,000 Bitcoin in a US Marshals auction in 2014. That amount of cryptocurrency is currently worth about $240 million. If his prediction turns out to be correct, Tim Draper can expect his Bitcoin portfolio to be valued at $7.5 billion by 2022. Draper has said that he will never sell it in exchange for fiat money: “That’s like saying I’m going to take the present and future and turn it into the past. I’m not an antique buyer”, he told documentarian Sharad Kharé in a recent interview.
He announced on Twitter the bold prediction, but a typo jittered his social media following: “Serious winds (of change) at our block (chain) party last night. Predicting bitcoin at $25k by 2022”, he first wrote before correcting the number by adding an extra zero to the future bitcoin price. “Oops! I predicted $250k in 2022. My tweet last night was missing a zero. $250k is the number!”

Oops! I predicted $250k in 2022. My tweet last night was missing a zero. $250k is the number!
— Tim Draper (@TimDraper) April 13, 2018
Tim Draper did not disclose the method he used to calculate his forecast of $250,000 by 2022. A “somewhat” close number was provided by Horizon Kinetics’ Murray Stahl, who argued that Bitcoin could be worth the value of all the currency in the world because fiat money can be “debased”, but there will be only 21 million Bitcoins ever made. This would amount to approximately $361,000 per Bitcoin, according to Barron’s estimate that the cumulative value of the world’s coins and banknotes is $7.6 trillion.
In the abovementioned interview with Sharad Kharé, Draper said he expects that, in five years, whoever tries to pay in fiat currency will be laughed at. This adds to his 2022 prediction. A world that will laugh at someone trying to pay in fiat currency is a world where Bitcoin is very likely established as the ultimate value investment. It might be hard to imagine such a revolutionary change within the next four to five years, but Tim Draper clearly does. The same way he imagined Tesla, Skype, and SpaceX, to be an invaluable part of our future.
