i think that kenshi would be delighted that his touches and kisses elicit laughter and smiles in response. kenshi would be heartbroken if it were anything but, because he's dealt with all those unfortunate events in his life one after another. He's not much of a PDA guy but in private he's very satisfied to have his touches reciprocated in romantic embraces or even johnny swinging a leg over him when he's sleeping. every time johnny smiles, kenshi knows he does. kenshi's lips and teeth between johnny's shoulder and neck, johnny feeling tickled and a laugh growls from his chest and also when johnny attempts to nudge him away (no effort on his part) kenshi gets to feel johnny's wide, toothy smile against his own cheek. it's very close and relaxing, he could fall asleep. esp because kenny over here has never really had the full hug experience so when he realizes it's so warm and he feels coddled and safe aaaahh. but anyways!! johnny ruins the moment of romance to be snarky "hmmm if i didn't know any better, i'd think you loooooove my smile kendoll" and kenshi kicks back "and what are you going to do about it, cage" johnny flabbergasted! and kenshi finishes him off like "yeah. don't think i do not know you taunt me on purpose, loverboy" (a term he learns from watching lame movies with his bf)

Kenshi has never known what "good" physical contact is like. he has to keep himself safe in the Yakuza, and romantic relationships are likely out of the question entirely. physical affection is foreign to him. physical contact that doesn't make him flinch is just as foreign to him. and then he meets Johnny, and then he loses his eyes, and then he starts dating Johnny, and all of those things that he's never had become a very big part of his life.

Johnny is very physically affectionate, and it shows when they're cuddling in any sense. he always makes sure that he's touching Kenshi somehow so he's fully aware of what he's doing, and he's always kissing him or resting with his head on him somewhere. Johnny cannot hide his smile when he's with Kenshi, and he can feel it whenever they're kissing or cuddling or anything. Kenshi can feel its permanence when he holds his face, the smile lines beneath his thumbs and the warmth of his skin. there's little better than Johnny's infectious joy and love, and Kenshi just feels good. he feels happy.

Johnny is such a tease, but Kenshi can tease back. he is not one to use pet names too often, so if he does, it's a shock. calling Johnny "loverboy" might actually make him short-circuit, his smile turning shocked and his skin growing hot with an intense blush. he's caught by surprise, and he's clearly flustered by it. Kenshi can only laugh and kiss his cheek and tell himself he'll do it again soon.
