Hey! I really hope everyone is having an awesome Christmas or had a good Christmas, decided to try to make some swap au Christmas themed art. And kinda Katie swap au hair reveal, the clothes is just winter themed, not the final outfit. Seriously though, to say I’m really grateful also for the traction so far to the posts I’ve been making, honestly expected to stay like super small on tumblr so really grateful! Hoping I can get it up to post more frequently, and about the swap au again I’m gonna have to delay the character biographies more because I kinda forgot Christmas was on Monday and lack of motivation to write on certain days😭 I’ve almost finished though, so I’m hoping within the next three days now. But the next set should be faster because I may or may not have worked a bit more on the later ones ahead of time because I got more instant ideas for the wrong set of characters in the AU as well as design ideas. Anyways though again MERRY, JOLLY, CHRISTMAS! (Oh and swap au Katie and Lindsay have a silly platonic relationship trust)

Plot summary (I don't speak English very well, so I'm sorry if I get into a mess somewhere):

Girei's wife was an impressive woman in many ways, but she died quite early. They had only one child, Katsai, whom Girei loved very much and allowed a lot. Katsai married for love a girl from a family of Girei's political opponents, and Girei had to turn a blind eye to this. Mairi's family stopped communicating with her because of this marriage. Girei and Mairi disliked each other at first sight. Katsai and Mairi had two sons, the youngest was very similar to his mother in appearance, so Girei preferred to just ignore him (which was not difficult, because Iiro was a very quiet and shy boy). But the eldest, Sonrei, was a very bright and talented child, similar to his father and grandmother, so Girei loved him very much and had a lot of hopes for him. Katsai was a very active person, prone to adventures, and also died quite early. After his death, the relationship between Girei and Mairi finally deteriorated, they literally hated each other. And when the youngest son showed rare healing abilities (yes, there is magic in their world), Mairi used this as an argument for reconciliation with her family and fled from Girei's house with her youngest son. She knew that Girei would never let her take her eldest son, so she didn't even try to do it. Of course, Girei was furious. He tried to remove all reminders of Mairi and Iiro from the house and did not leave for them the possibility of correspondence with Sonrei, because Girei was afraid that Mairi's family would use it for political manipulation. Sonrei did not fully explain the reasons for what happened, so he thought that maybe he had done something wrong, disappointed his mother, so she left him and did not respond to letters. Since Sonrei was the only one of those whom Girei treasured so much, Girei became kind of obsessed with taking care of him, although sometimes this care goes against Sonrei's wishes. And because Girei was afraid that Sonrei would follow in his father's footsteps, he raised Sonrei in strictness. Although, to be honest, he was a rather toxic grandfather, Sonrei was always very attached to him as the only one close to him who never abandoned him. Sonrei always idealized Girei and was very afraid to disappoint him, so he tried to be the best in everything and often went against his wishes. Since Sonrei was too good at everything, and also quite annoying and intrusive, many people around him did not like him. But somehow he managed to make friends with two more lonely boys. And also fall in love with one of them. But, as you can see in the previous animatic, in the end, Sonrei somehow messed up everything with both of them.
