Another sprite edit done! This one finished way faster than I expected. I guess my editing techniques are getting sharper now that I’m 5 in. The cheek spots and marionette strings are an extra touch that I thought would be nice additions.

AI Jane replacement theory

Arquius says this as an advanced AI that's been fused with a fully cognizant person through the medium of an (at least) semi-intelligent kernelsprite.

You can argue Hal wasn’t that advanced to begin with since there are obvious exploitable flaws in the programming, which in turn (ironically) drags down Arquius’ overall standing as a complex AI. But. Hal was produced by a 13 year old from a single snapshot of his brain. It’s no small feat, until you see how it stands up to a lifetime of Crocker Corp research and surveillance.

Outside of her ram horns, Aradia’s lusus/animal theming is so blink and you’ll miss it that I only just realized something.

one of the conditions for the trolls timeline to be successful is that Aradia has to be dead before the start of the game.

She’s set up to be a sacrificial lamb.

I love the idea that tavros had pyrokinesis but never used it outside of a personal gag. Like he either considered it too dangerous to mess around with, and/or he realized the nightmare and a half it would be if vriska caught wind.

The images flash in his mind of her adding a mind controlled dash of arson to her latest scheme. Absolute best case scenario: nobody burns to death.

He promptly commits to being significantly more useless and takes his secret to the grave

All of the artwork I have cultivated of my sona, Coldfront, over the years. Most of these people aren’t online, anymore, but a few of them are still active. The bottom two are mine. The ones at the top that are still around/active are fortisell, xthedragonrebornx, diverteddreamstudios, toenailish, kammyclues, and trunswicked. The others are either inactive or deactivated on DA.

Anyways, Coldfront is a Sky/IceWing, she/him pronouns, steam breath rather than fire or ice. I need to update the ref since I drew it such a long time ago, but it still holds up for now.

not a ship per-se but just character dynamics, what're your thoughts on all the crap and mental scarring that wash went through (via epsilon) and how that affects his interactions w/ church (and maybe caboose since they (church n boose) are usually close (like how s11 caboose mopes about missing church)) :0 ? (i personally could talk all day about the dynamic between caboose wash and church LOL, esp after s8, when wash joined the blues briefly and was called "Church")

good question! i don't wonder about this an awful lot anymore because people discuss it often but i do think about church and wash a lot so:

wash and epsilon are a little weird with each other. wash can't blame epsilon for what he did, he knows why it happened and how guilty epsilon feels for it. epsilon thinks wash hates him and thus keeps a respectable distance from him

but they both think they're... uncomfortably alike. wash has picked up aspects of church and sometimes these are obvious, church notices that there is definitely still part of him swimming through wash's head. they're both vividly aware of this but never want to discuss it

also why i see them as brothers + believe carolina wouldn't be able to see wash as anything but a brother. epsilon tried to kill himself in wash's head and he left so much of himself behind there.

i actually completely ignore caboose's confusion between wash and church because it stems off of ableist writing but i do think caboose draws lines between them a lot. the same way tucker accuses wash of not having blue team's back sometimes, caboose will notice all the ways wash is nothing like church as a leader

caboose isn't rude about it, he listens to wash and trusts him but he's a little annoyed that things have changed around him. he's autistic so change is difficult to process

if anything calling wash "church" is just him struggling to get used to his new norm. he tries so hard because he knows that isn't church, but it's just so uncomfortable and unwelcome to him

caboose just misses church, doesn't like the way wash suddenly took over, and doesn't yet understand that they have more similarities than he can see on a surface level

wash carolina and epsilon def have a talk at some point about boundaries and what makes both of them feel weird. epsilon apologizes and wash is like "you have nothing to apologize for" and they talk it out

basically, epsilon feels guilty, wash is understanding, caboose is bitter and can't stand change. things pass, like they do, but for a period of time nothing feels right for anyone on blue team.
