I always wondered, when Neil came back from the nest, has he like took something from it with him? Like the mocking in other languages, or Riko telling him he is a failure and the violence.

I imagine Neil not being the same when training with the Foxes, imagine training with the Ravens for 3 weeks and then coming back to normal, you just can't. So Neil will like scold/yell to the others for doing the drills in a different way as the Ravens (or just yell at himself, while like slapping his Cheek for doing it wrong) . Oh and the other notice it of course, Andrew will like tell him to knock it off, but Neil just can't do it so quickly, he wish he could tho; the other foxes looks at him in shock expect Kevin who already knew what he has been through, but still it hurt to see him like that.

Like in this scene of Anne with an e, when kakwet returns home, and scold her brother for not saying it in English. The idea Is pretty much the same. My poor Neil 😭🩷

I'm doing my research on the show Anne with an E and it's so unfair that it had to end so abruptly. Like I was rewatching it, only the colonisation parts with kakwet and heck. It's just poof. Gone. The memory of her staring out of the window at her parents, yearning to get the hell outta there is encrypted in my mind and y'all Netflix jsyk I got no chill.

honestly the saddest thing about Anne with an E not getting renewed for a fourth season is Kakwet’s storyline is never resolved :(

Watching Anne with an e season 3

I don’t normally cry watching historical fiction but the residential school episode is difficult to watch knowing that bodies of children were found in Canada( where the show takes place)

Can I just say how glad I am that Moira and the writers had Ka’kwet escape on her own using nothing but her wits and willpower and didn’t have Anne and Matthew coming in riding on horseback to rescue her and save the day?

Because when we first saw Ka’kwet in the residential school I was really worried it’d end up being the latter, and we really don’t need any more perpetuation of your classic white savior complex.

But I should’ve known not to doubt Anne With an E :)

AWAE Theories for Ep 8

Time for clowning sharing theories for next episode, guys!

1. Anne and Diana are friends again. I cannot imagine their break up to last longer than one or two episode. These two look like they are married! Their bond is too strong, there is no way they’re gonna drag their break up for long. Plus, with only 3 episodes left, they need to spend time with each other before Diana departs for France (assuming that’s still the plan).

2. Diana breaking up with Jerry. If she really doesn’t feel anything for him, and as much as I ship them, Diana must have the decency to break up with Jerry. That’s the right thing to do!

3. School burning down. That one is an obvious one! A possible scene in which everybody in Avonlea gather to extinguish the fire, like they did during the Gillis’ home fire. I don’t think Anne will do any stunt like she did for the Gillis. It would feel too redundant imo. Unless she tries to be bold again but get stuck inside, and someone goes in to rescue her (I’m looking at you Gilbert!).

4. Shirbert friendship is definitely on! Enough with the one-step-forwards-three-steps-backward pattern for the episodes! Anne and Gilbert are now friends and should spend the rest of the season being just CUTE as friends! They’ll grow more comfortable with each other, but no kiss yet please! It would be too soon! (God I love a good slow burn!)

5. Ka’kwet, please hold on! Three whole episodes without any news from Ka’kwet! THREE! That’s like half a year in the awae timeline! God knows how these nuns broke her spirit (and her fingers) during that time. Maybe a kid from Ka’kwet’s tribe escaped from the school and went back to the camp to share the truth about that horrible place. Ka’kwet’s father would seek Anne for help, and we’ll see the escape plan take form in ep9.

BONUS: I want to see that mysterious Miss Stacy’s suitor back! We still don’t know who he is and why he was ever introduced the way he was!

New Roy Theory

Gilbert will have broken off things with Winnie and will be gathering up the courage to tell Anne.

Meanwhile, Anne is enraged because no newspaper will print her letter about the human rights abuses happening at the indigenous schools. At whatever big event everyone is so sure is going to happen this season (where Anne is dressed to the nines), she meets Royal Gardener, who's father is the editor in chief at a major newspaper in Canada. He seems interested in her story and asks her out to tea to "discuss it more" (honestly, he just thinks she's cute, but poor Anne thinks she's discovered an ally in this fight). She then excitedly tells Gilbert (who is also at this shindig and thiiiiis close to confessing) that this awesome guy has just asked her out to tea. You know, to discuss human rights.

Which of course makes him chicken out.

(I think it would be totally hilarious if, at this point, Anne's like "Oh you should come with us!" Just because third wheel Gilbert sounds very funny to me. Just him, Anne and Roy. Roy trying to flirt with Anne and Anne not picking up on it at all. But you know who does...)

Also I do NOT want Ka'kwet's story dropped under any circumstances, so the more we can tie her story to the main story the better in my opinion.
