Julian Quintero was only 20 years-old when his life was cut short on January 22nd, 2017.

That tragic evening began as a typical one for the Castroville, California resident. Julian and a friend went to a house party at a home in the Oak Hills neighborhood. Once there, Julian assumed the role of a bouncer; standing in front of the door to prevent unwanted guests from entering the residence.

According to reports, several uninvited guests did, in fact, show up at the party. Julian refused to let them in. A violent scene unfolded, and Julian was shot three times in the back. The shooter(s) fled the scene shortly thereafter. To this day, they have never been apprehended.

Several partygoers witnessed Julian's murder, but investigators have been unable to identify all of these witnesses. In 2020, it was reported that detectives are still waiting for people to come forward. Monterey County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy John Thornburg is quoted saying, in part, "we do know that there are witnesses that haven’t come forward that haven’t shared with us what they know."

Julian's loved ones are now left without answers. By all accounts, Julian was loved by many people in the community. He was voted prom king in high school, and he was also involved in several different sports. Julian loved Captain America and was a natural protector. It's not surprising that he chose to be a bouncer on the night of his death - and he ultimately died while trying to protect his friends.

Echium wildpretii, also known as Tower of jewels 😮

Echium wildpretii is a species of flowering plant in the family Boraginaceae, endemic to the Canary Islands, Spanish archipelago. It mainly grows in the subalpine zone of the ravines of Mount Teide, a volcano on Tenerife island. The common names are tower of jewels, red bugloss, Tenerife bugloss or Mount Teide bugloss.

It is a herbaceous biennial plant that reaches between 1–3 m (3 ft 3 in – 9 ft 10 in) in height, with an erect inflorescence that bears red flowers. The plant produces a dense rosette of leaves during the first year, flowers in the second year, and then dies. It blooms from late spring to early summer in Tenerife.

Triunfa Dorados en el duelo capitalino

Se impone a los Apaches por segunda ocasión en la temporada Chihuahua, Chih.- Dorados volvió a derrotar a los Apaches de Chihuahua y de paso se mantuvo invicto, tras el triunfo 105-93 la noche del miércoles en el Gimnasio Manuel Bernardo Aguirre (MBA), por la Jornada 6 de la Liga LBE Mexbet 2023. La escuadra dorada llegó a cinco triunfos para retomar la punta del campeonato estatal con 10 puntos, además Apaches sufrió su cuarto descalabro en fila. Alejandro Villanueva registró 21 puntos, seguido por Gary Ricks al marcar 20, en un partido con seis jugadores de Dorados anotando doble dígito. El primer cuarto brindó un juego físico entre ambas quintetas que no cedieron terreno, en lo que fue el regreso del pívot mexicano Israel Gutiérrez después de conquistar el boleto a la Copa del Mundo con el combinado tricolor en la sexta ventana FIBA. Por su parte, Apaches también con el seleccionado nacional Víctor Álvarez, lideró los minutos iniciales aprovechando la velocidad del armador para la bandeja en contragolpe. La tribu comandada por Luis Quintero alcanzó incluso los 10 puntos de ventaja con el triple de Ismael Cruz, para instalar pizarra de 34-24 después de los 12 minutos de inicio. En el segundo periodo, Jose Estrada respondió en el perímetro, a su vez, Dwayne Morgan continuó descontando por la quinteta local, no obstante, otra ráfaga por parte de Cruz con par de canastos desde la distancia situó tanteador de 40-29 con 8:51 por jugar en el cuarto. En los 12 minutos finales, Apaches reaccionó acortando distancia a sólo cinco tantos el marcador. Por Dorados, Morgan y  Ricks volvieron a extender el liderato por más de 10 puntos. Las 100 unidades llegaron cortesía Kohl Meyer, sentenciando prácticamente el partido. La quinta victoria del cuadro chihuahuense fue con pizarra final de 105-93. Dorados alcanzó su cuarto juego consecutivo con el centenar de puntos, lanzando para el 42 % contra el 40 % de Apaches, encabezando también el departamento de rebotes 53-41. Alejandro Villanueva fue el mejor anotador por los locales con 21 puntos, 3 rebotes y 3 asistencias. Gary Ricks sumó 20 tantos, además Jose Estrada finalizó con 16 dianas, seguido por Dwayne Morgan con 13 unidades y 7 tableros, a su vez, Ricardo Valdez aportó 11, mientras que Kohl Meyer con 10 en ataque, 8 rebotes y 7 asistencias. Por Apaches, Idris Alvarado se fue con 18 tantos y 9 rebotes, el panameño Josimar Ayarza también con 18 unidades en ofensiva, Ismael Cruz y Khaliq Spicer ambos con 17 puntos, Daniel Girón finalizó con 16. “Otro partido divertido, la gente disfrutó, tenemos rachas que jugamos muy bien, tenemos rachas en las que jugamos muy mal, tenemos margen de mejora, pero este equipo va ganando, va compitiendo y ante la adversidad siempre es capaz de sobreponerse”, declaró el estratega español Pablo García. “Tenemos que hacer un mejor trabajo al empezar los juegos, es uno de los puntos que menciona el coach, los rebotes en equipo, hicimos un buen trabajo”, destacó Kohl Meyer. Por su parte, Luis Quintero indicó que Dorados fue superior, con una gran rotación al contar con 12 elementos de talla de Liga Nacional. “Les competimos al tú por tú, pudimos haberlo sacado pero nos cansamos”, reveló Quintero. Dorados jugará este jueves en contra de Indios de Ciudad Juárez en la urbe fronteriza en punto de las 20:00 horas. Marvel x Encanto AU

Slightly inspired by Tainted Miracle AU by RandoFandom Stuff but it mostly coincides with most of the plot within Encanto. The only difference is that Mirabel never had a chance to look at the prophecy but Alma (Abuela) did.

Humberto, Eva and Julian are Mirabel’s grandchildren through their mothers’ side.

Mirabel is their maternal grandmother, i.e. she’s Jessica (Rep’s Mom) and Gloria’s (the twins’ mom) mother.

They didn’t grow up with her as the sisters immigrated to the US for better job opportunities while Mirabel and her husband remained in Colombia.

The parents and Vincente would travel back to Colombia during the holidays so that the kids could spend time with them as a big family.

This stopped after Issac and Jessica disappeared.

The cousins adored Mirabel as they were all equally spoiled by her, whether that was by feeding them until they were barely able to fit through the door, making them new clothes or making them stuffed toys.

They don’t know much about her before she met their grandfather but they knew that she was fifteen when she met him.

Out of the three of them, Julian has the most in common with her, Eva physically resembles her the most and Humberto partially takes after her in personality.

The powers that they have gained are not from the casita but from the amulet, Eva’s own research and the stone from the.

Though I do believe that they are descendants of the Hag of the Pits. But that’s another post.

After some months of Humberto being superhero and Eva going to Strange Academy, Mirabel and her husband visits the family where she announces she’s going to go back to her village to meet with her family.

This shocks the family as for many years, they never had much information about them. They were told that it was a sore topic for her and as such, they never mentioned it.

She explains that she kept in contact with her younger cousin throughout the years and is needed to come home immediately.

Not wanting to be alone when coming back, she wants to bring the rest of the family so they can see the city that they grew up in and to get to know her side of the family.

The family was thrilled upon hearing this but the kids couldn’t help but be curious.

They know nothing about the family or about Encanto. All they know is that she left when she was fifteen and that the family was fairly large.

The kids don’t say anything however, and instead get ready to leave.

Pretest que luego unimos en una fusión de ideas que nos permite identificarnos con intereses compartidos, que servirán de fuente de creatividad necesaria para el desarrollo del núcleo aldea global. Estamos en la construcción de una cultura de trabajo que tiene como fundamento los valores y creencias individuales, que luego fusionamos en acuerdo compromisos, principios, éticas, maneras de entendernos y medios de comunicarnos para poder estar conectados constantemente e ir conformando y construyendo día a día el trabajo de excelencia que en este núcleo nos congrega. Apuntando de una forma innovadora, eficiente y eficaz al resultado que se nos pide y que nos dará la satisfacción y alegría de ir paso a paso construyendo el camino profesional que empezamos y que alguna vez estuvo como un sueño en la mente de cada de los integrantes de este equipo.

Compromisos para la convivencia

Mantener flexibilidad en el horario de los miembros y en la comprensión de su horario de trabajo o demás obligaciones. Al final se define dos días que serían lunes y miércoles a las 8 pm via ZOOM.

Siempre dialogar con respeto ante la diferencia para llegar a acuerdos.

Ser puntuales con los horarios establecidos para la reunión y los entregables.
