my last rbed post got me thinking and omg if i loved you is genuinely hysterical from paul's perspective. its sooooo funny like imagine you are paul matthews. normal guy extraordinaire. and you have just done the thing you've wanted to do for weeks and months, that is in another universe (and maybe in this one too?) literally your one desire: asked out the woman you like who works at the shitty coffeeshop you frequent. and she said yes! you were real smooth about it! and then just as you're about to talk some more in bursts some kid who looks weirdly like your annoying colleague, wonder what that's about, actually didn't ted say he had a brother? anyway, you and your crush continue to hit it off after she gives the kid his hot chocolate and all would be swell. except. the kid then proceeds to get in an argument with who you're pretty sure is the mayor's daughter and it gets loud. and personal. these 18 year olds are basically calling each other seductresses and blaming each other for the feelings they clearly have even though they're denying it. all this right in front of your black coffee, disrupting your perfectly good conversation with your crush. and after all of that? you get beaten up by a cop.
