long story short, bendisboot's mon el is a descendant of jon kent and a zod. i made jokes that jon married lor to make mon el, bringing the chris kent connection full circle by having lor rejoin the kents through marriage instead of adoption. it was mostly in jest, but im not entirely insane, and one writer at CBR caught it too, but deemed it highly unlikely, but maybe five people on god's green earth believe jon + lor = mon. im the most vocal.

BUT THEN JOE CASEY HAPPENED! he got ursa pregante with zod's second child, and to the misfortune of jon kent/girl!zod shippers, it is NOT a girlbaby. it is a boybaby. considering ursa's death flags are popping up, it is unlikely she and zod will make a THIRD zod in time for jon to be to able to have a reasonable relationship with a zod progeny without it coming off hecking weird. so by virtue of casey either a) forgot/doesn't care what bendis wrote, or b) absolutely is running home with jon + lor = mon, because unfortunately, the only viable zod candidate to reproduce with jon is lor. yes i know they are both amabs. no, i do not think it matters because if there is a zod, there is a way. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Mini-review:

Recently I've been on a roll when it comes to the TV shows I'm watching, and Reservation Dogs is another great addition to the list. It's funny, but also bittersweet and melancholy. In a way, it reminds me of those lazy summer days when we used to just hang out with our friends and do nothing major. These stories are not super original, but the setting and the atmosphere it builds through its writing and its characters makes the whole thing feel unique and so so special. Groundbreaking, even. I love that the show gives the full ensemble a chance to shine, focusing entire episodes even on supporting characters. Another thing I really appreciate is the way it centers around friendship, family and community. There's pretty much not a single hint of romance, it doesn't bother with the usual messy love storylines that tend to swamp shows about teenagers. So yeah, I ended up falling in love with all these characters and I can't wait to meet the again soon.

The Beach Girls and the Monster (1965)

My rating: 5/10

Considering this is a beach movie (aka "background noise while your grandparents were making out in the theater") this one gets weirdly serious about the slasher/whodunit aspect of the whole thing. Pretty watchable, all things considered.
