I’m so fucking harrowed I’m telling you this too Spotify has this cool feature where despite not being connected to the TV in my living room at all, it will automatically connect and cast there, interrupting my mother. So I just tried to listen to some music on my computer, and made sure it was localised to the laptop. And then a little green ribbon appeared. “Casting to 55″ TCL Roku TV”. Normally this is okay. Normally, I can go out and profusely apologise to my mother for ruining her cop show rewatches. Today? She’s sitting in the living room having a chat with my pastor’s wife. They’re good friends, you see, and they’re talking evangelical and shit so my heart just SINKS. I run out there, quickly blurting out that I’m sorry and that the Spotify account isn’t even CONNECTED to the TV and I don’t understand. “Gee bud, I can imagine why you don’t want your pastor’s wife seeing what you listen to, but why are you so upset?” Because it didn’t open to the lyrics like it usually does, it opened to my home page in its full glory. Highlighted? “Advanced Worship (LOL)”. Okay, cool. I can play that off as Jesus music. Or maybe I could if the banner overhead wasn’t FUCKING THIS

Or if the song playing in the corner wasn’t proudly displayed as “The Night Does Not Belong To God” Anyways the Almighty has a sick sense of humour and I think if she’d been paying any more attention I would have been scorned from the community for satan worship for the rest of my life
